It’s been good for the most part. I have emailed a few questions from time to time and usually get a response but the last time I did not. Would like a timely response.
Pros: I like the ease of use of the Point of sale.
Cons: Not being able to delete memberships. I wish I could have the option to delete memberships that are no longer used.

My experience with Upper Hand has been amazing. I’ve been using it since 2018 and I don’t think I will go to another one unless Upper Hand goes bankrupt or discontinuous but other than that I’m all in.
Pros: What I like most about Upper Hand is using the app to make scheduling event and easy to use discount codes.
Cons: What I don’t like is that where my client‘s is having trouble logging in and using their payments and they always gotta contact me to get it resolved.

I requested for multiple memberships per account. They still don’t have this option.

Pros: Relatively good user interface so it’s easy to use on client side.
Cons: They would not deliver on what they told me they would
Chris S. · Owner · Sports · December 12, 2024
Pros: It has gotten faster and better by the day s mouth, year!
Cons: Still has too many steps for calendar view to see full view of instructors
Andrew B. · Owner · Sports · January 2, 2024
Pros: Es una herramienta que es economica para todos los servicios que ofrece.
Cons: Le hace falta ser mas intuitivo es algo complicado acostumbrarce al principio.
Katalina M. · Ing. Sistemas · Information Technology and Services · July 18, 2023
Pros: Price is really inviting compared others out there.
Cons: Nothing yet, started using recently and everything seem good.

Pros: The modern look of Upper Hand is definitely appealing. Compared to other systems, Upper Hand has the flash of excellence from the outward appearance.
Cons: Once purchased, navigating and setup becomes very challenging. I would recommend end to end testing as the customer to navigate through the workflow. We recieve constant feedback from customers that the online process is confusing to navigate. There is some potential with this platform, but that depends on how quickly enhancements are rolled out. Our use case is batting tunnel rentals only, and so far it does not align with an ease of use solution without some heavy lifting.

Pros: The calendar and scheduling are most useful, along with the membership and contact functionality!
Cons: Some of the areas don’t tailor exactly to the baseball/softball sport specific or multiple team/organization layout.
Austin N. · Owner · Sports · August 19, 2022
Quite good. I think the workflow will improve but you can do almost anything and it is vital to our small business
Pros: For private trainings, the amount of options for events are numerous. Parents can usually book easily
Cons: Marking availability is not always easy. And changing the trainer or time of a session isn't done in the same window.

The set up was process was well executed. The customer service was fantastic after the set up.
Pros: The Service and response is fantastic. The people I worked with are courteous and patient. I love working with them and it is nice to know that they are there when we need them.
Cons: Signing up a new client could be a little easier

I've been with Upperhand since 2017 , couldn't run my biz without it , ive tried! Well worth every penny. I love the improvements that the make and they listen to what we as customers want. I recommend Upperhand to all my colleagues.
Pros: This takes a bit to get use to but when you implement all the options it makes biz life easy! Way too many good things to list. This software takes care of all my biz needs, Calendar , Scheduling, income , memberships , camps, point of sale ,email lists just to name a few.
Cons: A few things in the calendar are a tad buggy but Ive learned how to get around them.

Good!
Pros: I like the modern layout in the back office. After getting past the learning-curve it was easy for me as an administrator to work with.
Cons: We had clients who indicated that the site was not user friendly. Made it difficult to book.
Jamie C. · Assistant Club Director · Sports · August 18, 2022
Pros: The software is easy to use. The product has evolved over the years to accommodate our client's needs.
Cons: Customer Service has been non-responsive at times.
Jared B. · Program Director · Sports · August 17, 2022
Ease for parents to register for our camps and programs improved for our business. We still use software for private training business since it’s not as user friendly for upper hand. Would love an all inclusive option.
Pros: Mobile access for on the go checking of registration lists.
Cons: Doesn’t offer a good private training booking experience.
Matthew B. · Owner · Sports · August 16, 2022
Pros: It is pretty easy to use. I was going to use zen planner but ended up backing out due to it being so hard to learn. Upper Hand has been great when it comes to learning the system and running with it.
Cons: There isn’t a calendar that list all the available times for the month for clients to choose from. I’ve had some clients suggest adding a calendar that lays out the month and the available times.
Arianna H. · Basketball Trainer · Sports · August 16, 2022
Only thing I would say is that there are times that I can’t get something added or taken off in a timely manner. Don’t get me wrong, staff has been amazing and 9/10 is within 24 hours. At one point I asked if I could also make changes to the site which was very enlightening for me. It wasn’t as easy for me as it was for them. Gave me a good look at the back side of the website. Thankfully they do this everyday so they are well rounded.
Pros: Everything is great with the software. I haven’t used anyone else for my business so I don’t have a whole lot to compare with. But all in all, it’s been perfect for my business.
Cons: Once again, this is the only thing I know of. I’ve been with UH for 7 years now and they have progressed well. Thumbs up!

Excellent
Pros: The ease of use in scheduling, payments, setting up memberships
Cons: There are some features I wish could be different but overall it’s great
Matt V. · Owner · Sports · August 16, 2022
Pros: I enjoy the Memberships option and payment plans
Cons: The fact that clients can’t use their credits for all of their participants. Each participant needs to purchase packages and they can’t be shared for all the kids in the family
Nicole P. · Operations manager · Sports · August 14, 2022
Pros: What I like the most is its functionality and versatility
Cons: So far I haven't found anything to dislike
Regio G. · Marketing • Business Developer · Sports · August 11, 2022
Pros: I love how easy it is to use and can get revenue reports and NO DOUBLE BOOKING
Cons: Wish you could send out a MASS EMAIL not just for an event. Wish you had a call hotline. The bubble nobody ever answers
Joe K. · Owner · Sports · August 11, 2022
It has helped me a lot so far!
Pros: Really nice way to have all your clients in one system.
Cons: Can be confusing especially on the customer face, when signing up for the first time. I commonly get questions about the schedule as they cannot see it before they sign up for a package or membership.
Chris P. · Trainer · Sports · August 11, 2022
It’s been a good experience overall having a scheduling software. Whether I continue with Upper Hand has a lot to do with them continuing to develop the software.
Pros: Scheduling, pricing, and customer service
Cons: Some of my customers have trouble figuring it out. It doesn’t seem really easy to use for all.
David R. · Owner/Lead Performance Coach · Health, Wellness and Fitness · August 11, 2022
Scheduling
Pros: I like that we can use it to book and pay for lessons
Cons: The membership that are supposed to be helpful for auto renewal are sometimes more trouble than what they are worth. Either we need that fixed or we need to do away with the memberships.
Janie W. · Owner · Sports · August 11, 2022
I have known Upperhand for a while now and I used MINDBODY first but as Upperhand has grown the ease of use and their ability to grow has brought tremendous strength to my organization.
Pros: The few years I have been with Upperhand I have seen them implement three or more product changes that I have recommended. They have an amazing ability to grow and implement what real users are asking to improve.
Cons: The thing I have liked least about the software is the payment after a session but that has been resolved from what I can see. You can now book and pay later.
Dominic R. · Organizational Baseball Development Coach · Sports · August 10, 2022
Not good. We are considering another platform that doesn't give us issues and our customer issues.
Pros: Honestly, not much as it isn't user friendly.
Cons: We get emails DAILY about things not working. Simple things like memberships and credits prove to be difficult. The wording is not every day language so it is hard to implement things without reaching out to customer service. Every time I try to do a live chat no one is ever available.
