Overall, quire has been a great tool for managing our complex student engineering project. It's way better than notion to capture the dependencies and manage the tasks
Pros: It's very easy to add tasks, setup dependencies and view the tasks in different formats. The Gantt chart works well, and the keyboard shortcuts are sensible!
Cons: There are sometimes visual bugs and rendering issues. Some of the keyboard workflows are awkward/don't do what you initially expect but you get used to them

I use Quire across two distinct contexts — as an MSc Computer Science student managing research milestones, dissertation planning, and parallel module deadlines, and as a technology leader personally tracking complex platform engineering and SRE transformation initiatives. Most tools force you to choose between simplicity and power. Quire gives you both. You can start with a simple task list and scale the structure organically as the work demands it. For a student juggling a heavy academic workload, or a professional managing deeply layered, long-horizon projects, Quire meaningfully improves how you stay on top of complexity without drowning in it. It is the first project management tool in years I have recommended without hesitation.
Pros: The nested task hierarchy is the standout feature. As a postgraduate Computer Science student at the University of East London and a technology professional managing complex transformation programmes, I needed a tool that could reflect how layered, non-linear work actually progresses. Quire's ability to break projects into sub-tasks and sub-sub-tasks — without losing the big picture — is exceptional. The ability to toggle between a hierarchical outline view and a Kanban board within the same project is genuinely rare and maps perfectly to how academic and professional work alternates between structured planning and iterative execution. The timeline view is equally strong for tracking multi-workstream delivery across longer horizons. The design is thoughtful and clean — it does not feel bloated, and the mobile experience is solid for managing work across time zones.

Cons: The initial learning curve for the nested view can be mildly disorienting if you are migrating from a flat task-list tool. It took a session or two to fully appreciate and leverage the depth of the structure. A slightly more guided onboarding experience for new users would help them unlock the tool's full value faster. Offline mode could also be more robust for users working in environments with inconsistent connectivity.

My overall experience with Quire has been very positive. As a student, I use it to organize assignments, track deadlines, and plan my study schedule. The task structure allows me to break large projects into smaller steps, which helps me stay organized and manage my time more effectively during the semester. The interface is simple and easy to use, making it a practical productivity tool for students who want to keep their academic work well organized.
Pros: As a student, I really like how Quire helps me organize my assignments, study schedules, and academic projects in a clear way. The nested task structure makes it easy to break large assignments into smaller steps, which helps me stay focused and manage deadlines better. The interface is simple and intuitive, so I can quickly plan my study tasks without spending time learning complicated features. It’s a very practical tool for staying organized during the semester.
Cons: So far my experience has been very positive. The platform works well for organizing tasks and study projects. One possible improvement could be adding more built-in templates for academic planning or study schedules, which could make it even easier for students to get started.

Overall, quire has been a very reliable project management tool for day-to-day use. It helps me plan tasks, assign responsibilies and monitor progress.
Pros: Quire is very easy to use but still powerful enough for real project management. It has clean interface with features that actually help teams stay organized.
Cons: Need more application/software integrations and more customization in dashboard. Need more template for projects.

Overall, after nearly a decade of using it, I can say that Quire is a powerful, well‑designed, and highly practical project management tool, with a gentle learning curve and a feature set that genuinely adds value.
Pros: Quire is a very useful tool for planning projects, organising tasks, and sharing responsibilities within a team. One of its biggest strengths is how complete the free version already is, allowing you to manage most workflows without needing to upgrade. The paid plans then add a wide range of extra features which, while not strictly essential, make everything smoother and more efficient—especially for complex or collaborative projects. One of the features I appreciate the most is the integrated chat. Being able to communicate directly within the platform, attach files, links, and images, and keep all conversations tied to the relevant tasks makes coordination much easier and reduces the need for external tools.
Cons: On the downside, the price can feel a bit high if you want full access for individual use. It’s not unreasonable, but it may make some users hesitate before committing to the complete version.

Quire helps to keep all our marketing initiatives structured and on schedule. It has improved our team coordination, and it helps to prioritize tasks across multiple campaigns.
Pros: I like Quire because it provides excellent task and subtask hierarchy for managing campaigns step by step. It helps organize content calendars, SEO tasks, and ad campaigns.
Cons: Automation features are basic compared to those of some competitors and need a marketing performance tracking feature.

Quire helps me break down security tasks, audits, and incident steps into a clear checklist that’s easy to follow. It keeps my work organized without feeling heavy or complicated, which makes it useful for daily security operations.
Pros: I like the simple layout, the nested tasks, and how quickly I can switch between views like list or board. It connects well with tools like Slack and Google Calendar, so updates and reminders stay in one place.
Cons: The mobile app needs an internet connection for most actions, and it doesn’t offer deep reporting, so larger security teams may need extra tools.

Quire has made it easier to plan campaigns, organize content work, and keep deadlines clear for everyone on the team. Once I set up our projects, it became a smooth daily tool for tracking tasks and keeping campaigns moving. It’s lightweight, easy to understand, and works well for both quick tasks and larger marketing projects.
Pros: I like how Quire lets me break campaigns into clear steps and switch between list, board, and calendar views. It keeps my team aligned, and the integrations with Google Calendar, Slack, and Drive make coordination much simpler.
Cons: The mobile app needs an internet connection for almost everything, and I sometimes wish it had more built-in reporting for larger projects.

Pros: What I like the most about Quire is the ease of assigning ToDos through the tagging system when you're part of a team (and as such being able to track the projects easier).
Cons: What i like the least about Quire is the initial effort that has to be put in to figure out the organisation of what is where (especially as part of a bigger team).
loyola m. · Secretary of High School education team · Aviation & Aerospace · October 10, 2025
Pros: Very good collaboration features and configuration options with tags, custom statuses, etc. Useful for creating and tracking project progress within a team
Cons: It is not easy for me to export a project timeline to share it with external partners or publish a specific version of the timeline for reviews. Also some features, like critical path analysis or PERT charts would be great. See Gantt Project open source softwrae for example.
