I started using Mycase early in my solo career, it has been very helpful and intuitive. I can't imagine doing my job without it.
Pros: Do I want to have to interact with Mycase or any case management system? No. I'd like to be on a beach, independently wealthy. But if I have to actually do the work I studied so hard to do, Mycase is exceedingly helpful in keeping both my office and my clients up to date and organized. I've just started using the integrated billing software and it's pretty easy. Plus, Mycase doesn't judge me as I cry over my keyboard at 3am because there's a work emergency.
Cons: I don't think the billing software sends out un-ignorable reminders to clients to pay. However it's easy enough to set up reminders in the system so I can remind clients.

8am MyCase covers all my day to day management of cases with ease. If I find myself not able to find something or struggle with knowing how to do something. The help center is right at hand with resolutions.
Pros: 8am MyCase has always been very user friendly. The quick action tabs makes 8am MyCase even more accessible.
Cons: I don't have any complaints about 8am MyCase. If I find myself not able to find something or struggle with knowing how to do something. The help center is right at hand with resolutions. My concerns have neve went unanswered.

It's been a great experience. Definitely recommend it if you can afford it. User friendly and great customer service.
Pros: I love the user friendly options it utilizes. You can teach yourself how to use it. Customer Service is great too.
Cons: The prices have gone up so that's a negative feeling towards the software now. Just can't keep using with prices having risen.

Overall, my experience with MyCase has been very positive. Once I committed to using it, I quickly saw the benefit, especially as my team expanded. It has improved how we manage cases, communicate internally, and interact with clients. MyCase has become an essential part of how my firm operates, and it’s contributed to a more professional client experience. I just renewed my subscription for another year, and I'm looking forward to maximizing my use of the platform. I really see the value for the money I'm paying.
Pros: What I appreciate most about MyCase is how seamlessly it brings everything together in one place. As my practice grew from solo to a team environment, the ability to manage clients, documents, and communication in a centralized system became invaluable. The client portal and document-sharing features have made collaboration between staff and clients significantly smoother, and the integrations have helped automate parts of my workflow that used to take up a ton of time. It’s made the day-to-day operations of my firm feel much more organized and efficient.
Cons: There was definitely a learning curve as I moved from a personalized paper-based setup into a more structured digital system. That adjustment period required some patience and a willingness to change how I was used to doing things. I found some components not very intuitive, but MyCase account specialists were always available to answer questions via email or on clarity calls.

Excellent! MyCase keeps me organized and ensures that all of my "files" will be safe and simple to access.
Pros: The ability to store and manipulate documents i my favorite function of MyCase. Signing and sending documents for execution is a great feature.
Cons: Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming. I wish that I knew all of the functions. I would like to understand how to use the "tasks" more effectively.
Quinon B. · Principal Attorney · Law Practice · April 13, 2026
Very good. I upgraded to the advanced tier recently to explore the document automation for my drafting.
Pros: I've been using MyCase for maybe eight years now as a solo practitioner. It's the only practice management platform I've ever used and I love it. I use it for billing, managing my calendar, tasking with my paralegal and assistant, sending messages to clients, making notes to myself, managing my contacts. I also use the SmartSpend MyCase credit card for client expenses.
Cons: The email functionality is not the way I want it. I link emails to MyCase but they still do not appear visible to my team.
Jeff A. · Attorney Owner · Law Practice · April 10, 2026
Overall, I have had a good experience. They seem receptive to suggestions made by users. I like the format of the program.
Pros: I like the ease of use and I like that my phone system connects to it. I also like being able to set up workflows.
Cons: I wish there was a better way to link emails. It would be nice to be able to send emails directly from the program.
Kimberly R. · Attorney · Law Practice · April 9, 2026
Been excellent at managing my practice. I have been a customer of MyCase for 7+ years and it has helped me manage my small law office
Pros: Ease of case tracking is easy with MyCase and it has definitely helped with my work flow. I like the fully digital/online aspect.
Cons: IOLTA management is needing some simplicity and improvement on the intake. MyCase could do a better job offering training on practice managment and intake.
Geoffrey M. · Attorney · Law Practice · April 9, 2026
Overall, its been a great experience. It gets the job done. Its not the top of the market in that it does not have the robust items for a personal injury or employment law case, it allows for contingency but doesn't actually have any functionality built in for contingency cases. But for the basic case management needs, it works well enough. Its nowhere near a FileVine in functionality, but also nowhere near FileVine in terms of cost either.
Pros: MyCase is an easy to use, user friendly, law firm case and document management program that provides solid value for your money. The best thing about it is their customer support that is top notch.
Cons: One thing I don't like is that you get charged up front for a full year for any new person that you had and its non-refundable. Sometimes small firms like myself have short term employees or turnover, so having to pay thousands of dollars up front and its non-refundable is really hard to manage. I've lost thousands of dollars due to this issue.
Sandeep S. · Principal · Law Practice · April 6, 2026
overall, it has been a good experience and a very important part of my practice. I would not have been able to survive my first year in business without it.
Pros: it is all in one platform and user friendly. My team and I are able to use it to organize our cases without much issues.
Cons: there are some issues with the immigration integration. The questionnaire ask more than what it needed in certain forms and when I have multiple questions that need extra space, it only provides 2.
Maria W. · Attorney and Owner · Legal Services · April 2, 2026
It's pretty easy to work with and is becoming more intuitive as it updates come out. It has become a very important part of my practice organization.
Pros: It is a good value and it suits my needs as a solo practitioner. I like the accounting features. It makes my job a little easier.
Cons: I would like to see a way for payments to be made through apps such as CashApp, Zelle, and Venmo. Also, there seems to be a bug in deleting payment requests.
Dion R. · Attorney and Owner · Law Practice · March 26, 2026
Excellent. I did not embrace the change when we started using this seven or eight years ago, but it was easy to learn and don't know how we functioned without it before we had it.
Pros: Ease of use, billing, client management, website all integrated one stop shopping. Also, it cuts down the number of phone calls for client status.
Cons: When interface changed, I preferred the old format. Once I got used to that version, the new one seems to not get as much information on the page as the old format.
Clinton Z. · Attorney At Law · Law Practice · March 25, 2026
Overall, my experience with MyCase has been exceptional. I have tried other billing and office management software, and they do not come close to the ease of use as MyCase.
Pros: The ease of use of the system for both my firm and my client's is amazing. It is an incredible value for the money. Customer support has been extremely helpful. The document management feature is used daily.
Cons: The home pages changes pretty often and take some getting used to when it happens. Sometimes the billing can be confusing, but Customer Support is always there to help.
Adam C. · Lawyer · Law Practice · March 24, 2026
My overall experience would be a 10 out of 10 experience. I can navigate the website very well, and I did so without any training. The website is user-friendly, which is a good feature because law practices are busy and sometimes formal training is very limited.
Pros: I love how easy it is to use. Specifically, when uploading documents. The fact that I can just drag documents into the portal and that they load so quickly is very efficient. I have never experienced any issues with the program. MyCase is very good at notifying us of scheduled updates, which makes planning around them effortless.
Cons: Probably the cost, but compared to other legal programs, I cannot honestly say it's a true con because there are similar programs that are even more expensive.
Lucero M. · Senior Paralegal · Legal Services · March 23, 2026
Overall, my experience has been positive with good and quick feedback from customer support. This is a solid choice for managing legal case files.
Pros: MyCase is very user friendly and robust in its case management features. It has all of the features that I want to be able to keep track of client documents, communication, and billing. The clients can access their files using the client portal, and I can share files with the client or others as needed. Billing is also robust allowing for time tracking, invoice generting, direct billing, etc.
Cons: I have noticed an integration issue with Adobe. Occasionally the desktop app will crash when making advance manipulations of an adobe file and attempting to save it to MyCase via the desktop app.
Alexandra B. · Lawyer · Law Practice · March 23, 2026
Overall, it supports a more organized, transparent, and responsive approach to managing legal matters and client relationships.
Pros: It allows me to efficiently organize client files, track deadlines, and manage documents without having to switch between multiple systems.
Cons: Specifically, locating detailed information about payments, refunds, and transaction history is not always intuitive. I would find it extremely helpful if all payment activity, including invoices, payments received, refunds issued, and trust account transaction were clearly consolidated and easily accessible within each case file.
Martina C. · Founding Member Attorney · Law Practice · March 23, 2026
It's not perfect, but it's way better than Clio and Practice Panther based on my usage. Customer service is pretty responsive. Rollouts are not always smooth, unfortunately, but they do seem to be doing updates from time to time. I don't see them responding to customer suggestions very often.
Pros: Ability to keep all members of my team connected to what is happening in a case. Connecting emails, portal conversations, texts, etc so everyone can see the progress on a matter is so important. Also integrationality with other software apps is critical and it does this well.
Cons: Leads kanban is pretty much useless because it doesn't connect to email, so there's essentially no functionality to it.
Leigh C. · Principal Attorney Owner · Law Practice · March 23, 2026
I have had mycase since I started my law firm almost 10 years ago and it has been a reliable system for my needs and those of my clients
Pros: I like ease of use, document management, mycase drive local in computer, calendar, payment management
Cons: not able to send text messages or communication to clients in Spanish. Not able to send emails and text to clients with progress on case or attached to workflows
Lydia H. · Attorney at Law · Law Practice · March 22, 2026
I'm happy with it. As a solo attorney having a CRM like MyCase keeps me organized, it keeps me on task, allows me to make notes and status update, text clients through the platform, and get e-signatures. You can get away with not using a CRM like MyCase, but overall I think it improves my practice quite a bit.
Pros: It's relatively easy to use, it provides a lot of value in terms of tracking case matters with notes, e-signing, and texts to clients. Collecting money from client is also pretty easy as LawPay integrates with the software and you can do things like setting up payment plans. Customer service has also been pretty decent with the AI answering most things.
Cons: I was given an initial discount to sign up, but that disappeared after my first year, even though I was told it would continue. While this may not be exclusive to MyCase, it's also occurred to me that I may be hostage to it as there is a lot of case/matter data that may be difficult to migrate should pricing no longer be competitive.
Joseph O. · Attorney-at-Law · Law Practice · December 4, 2025
This has been an excellent choice for our small insurance defense firm. Ease of use is important to me and the program is very intuitive.
Pros: Intuitive, easy to use, many features, new features frequently added, ability to handle electronic billing.
Cons: We have been unable to use the email synch feature, despite getting IT involved. Apparently the issue is with our email system.
Rob R. · Managing Partner · Legal Services · November 11, 2025
My overall experience with 8am MyCase was very good. It made case management, client communication, and task tracking much easier and more efficient. It’s a reliable tool that keeps everything organized and accessible.
Pros: I liked how organized and efficient 8am MyCase was. The platform made it easy to track cases, communicate with clients, and stay on top of deadlines all in one place.
Cons: Sometimes the system ran a bit slow when handling multiple cases or large files, which could interrupt workflow.
Angel P. · Receptionist · Law Enforcement · November 11, 2025
I recommend MyCase to every lawyer in private practice. I've incorporated it into CLEs that I have given about practice management. I think I'm it's biggest fan.
Pros: I have used MyCase for over ten years and I don't know how I got by without it. It helps me manage every aspect of my case management from billing, staying in touch with clients, and scheduling.
Cons: My complaints are extremely minor and very "inside baseball." There are a couple of formatting issues that I would change and a few reports that I would like to see added. I would like to see a column that allows cases to be sorted by date closed.
Murray N. · Attorney · Law Practice · November 11, 2025
It has been so great to use and has really helped me stayed organized and streamlined with my law practice
Pros: 8am MyCase is extremely user friendly. There are so many great functions and it integrates with my billing system very well.
Cons: There are really very little cons. The only criticism I have is finding payment reconciliation can sometimes be difficult.
Carlia W. · Attorney · Legal Services · November 11, 2025
Working with MyCase has been a 10/10 experience, our firm loves to use it and suggest it to other professional when discussing case management.
Pros: Document management is top tier, easy to use, easy to learn/train, and the value of the services for your money is impeccable! There are never any bugs or issues. The invoicing is easy for our clients and for us to use.
Cons: I have absolutely nothing negatively to say about mycase. Our firm is very happy with the services offered on mycase.
Noelani C. · Paralegal · Legal Services · November 10, 2025
Overall, it’s a dependable, well-designed platform that makes running a law practice more efficient and organized.
Pros: I’ve been using MyCase for my law practice and have been very pleased with it. The customer support team is excellent—quick to respond, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful whenever an issue arises. The ease of use is another major plus; the interface is intuitive, and it doesn’t take long to get comfortable navigating the system. Document management is smooth and well-organized, making it easy to upload, find, and share files securely with clients.
Cons: If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be integration options. MyCase works great on its own, but I do wish it connected with a few more third-party tools and services I use daily. It’s not a major drawback—just something that would make an already strong platform even better.
