PraxiSchool

Pros: Praxischool is a powerful student information system that serves as a one-stop shop for everything our school needs. We use it to manage attendance, library resources, donor records, general payables and receivables, enrollment, after-school classes, school lunches, and registration—all in one convenient platform.

Cons: There is a steep learning curve when it comes to using Praxischool. Mastering all aspects of the platform has required many hours of dedicated training.

Pros: PraxiSchool is truly a school in a box. All of the features and support truly are worth the money. There is a bit of a learning curve in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, you won't forget it. I enjoy learning new tricks as I become more acquainted with the system. My school families are also loving it!

Cons: The learning curve in the beginning was a bit stressful considering we were transitioning from a different company and had gotten used to their system.

Pros: The product is a great value! It does so much more than we are using it for right now. The learning curve is not terribly steep and the online help and customer service is top notch. We feel like it is the perfect student information management product for us!

Cons: We have absolutely no cons to report! Every single time we have needed help, there is someone willing to go above and beyond.

Pros: We use PRAXI for Student information management system, to provide Student and Teacher Management, and School management like billing. We love the value for the money, and security it offers for the families and the learning curve is a breeze.

Cons: We have to create separate forms for registration based on the circumstance (new vs. returning) and age group to be able to show the fee structure for each. Not the end of the world and now that they're created, I'm able to simply modify if there are changes for each year.

Pros: Praxi is all encompassing for what we need. Plus the product support is amazing. The team is knowledgeable and I know each time I log on for help my questions will be answered clearly. For the price point, it has everything we need!

Cons: It can be a little cumbersome with having to click thought multiple selections to get what you need.

Pros: [sensitive content hidden]! Quite literally. I would not have survived this year without [sensitive content hidden]'s help. A new system. Instructor and parents not happy about the platform change but [sensitive content hidden] was there for us all. She made Praxi work for us.

Cons: As an administrator, I stay out of the classroom edits, etc. I think you would have to ask my instructors on that specifically. I can do mass emails which gets my Monday updates out and find students, etc. and then I have to be free to run the school face to face.

Pros: Customer Service is top-notch at PraxiSchool! This student information system is an all in one system. Accounting, Attendance, Incidents, Grades, Billing, Text Messaging (optional service), and more at an affordable price!

Cons: It took a while to get used to the system as a whole. With so many functions, it's hard to be proficient in every area. They have a video and a written "How to" library where you can search for help. If it isn't there, customer service is only a few clicks away. Their staff is knowledgeable in the system, and if they can't immediately help, they will have someone get back to you with a solution.

Pros: One software that relates to just about everything we need to run the school.

Cons: It is not user-friendly or intuitive. Much of the menu labeling is misleading. The help page is outdated with misleading menu labels.

Pros: The incredible customer support. It's amazing.

Cons: The look and feel is quite dated and could be improved.

Pros: We love that Praxi is a closed system which protects our students and families information here in the US. Praxi provides more features than we could possibly need in one system.

Cons: We find that Praxi is not always intuitive and can be challenging to navigate. The learning curve is still going and we are several years in. It could be that part of our issue is that we are a part-time program and do not have a full-time person dedicated only to Praxi, as larger schools may have. For example, we do not have a dedicated accountant or experienced book keeper, as most institutions would. Thus it takes us longer to move through understanding certain aspects and the "why" behind them. It seems it takes a bit more technical knowledge of accounting to be able to use Praxi effectively - leaning back into the idea that Praxi could become more user friendly. The look of Praxi is a bit outdated and could use a facelift to be a bit more appealing to users.

Pros: We have found that we do like having the student management and the Financial Piece on the same platform. We have recently started using the school store and the register function and it has been helpful for these 2 projects that we are having.

Cons: It is not as user friendly as other school platforms. There are multi steps to get information entered and then for reporting. If it were not for the support team it would be hard to get all the steps correct. I also think the App needs to be improved. Parents should be able to do everything on the App that can be accessed through a web browser.

Pros: The customer support is superb! I loved being able to schedule time when I needed more in depth help and being able to jump on with support quickly when I had easy questions.

Cons: The learning curve / lack of intuition of software.

Pros: I like the fact that I can have actual live support when I need it. I have been working with [sensitive content hidden] for the past 2 years and I could not do my job without her. I am still new to this software and between running a school, teaching, and being the business manager, I am stretched very thin. She helps me out tremendously.

Cons: It is not easy to learn or user friendly.

Pros: I really like how every department is integrated with each other. I also am extremely happy with the support personnel who have helped us along the way. I never have to feel like I am flying solo. Also, since we have switched to Heartland for payment processing AR runs smoother, collections come in faster and fees have been reduced greatly. All of this makes cash flow better for us.

Cons: I wish there were more options for customization of the financial statements.

Pros: The ability to track and record student grades/progress, manage parent/family financial accounts, and print reports all in one place is amazing!

Cons: The accounting part can be a little tricky at times.

Pros: Praxi simplifies the process of managing and organizing all our information efficiently.

Pros: The accessibility of talking to a real person. Love that when you schedule a call you know you have their undivided attention for an hour. I also love that they have the capability of remote control of your screen so you can see what they are doing and learn from it.

Cons: I find a lot of the forms etc not super user friendly to set up. It is a complicated process - compared to using something like google forms - if it wasn't for [sensitive content hidden] being so patient and helping us figure it all out I don't think it would be practical for us to get set up on our own.

Pros: Value. It has all we need to run our private school. Great online support. Parents love the app.

Cons: Lots of clicks to complete some tasks. The look could be updated. Heartland is difficult sometimes.

Pros: Everything is included! I love that everything is connected - from application to enrollment to tuition payments to transcripts! It keeps things organized.

Cons: I can't think of anything I don't like -- it's taken some time to learn, but it is user friendly.

Pros: PraxiSchool has so many helpful features.

Cons: I wish PraxiSchool an exhaustive online searchable manual with helpful hints and instructions.

Pros: Customer service (especially [sensitive content hidden]'s assistance and guidance and the fact that I can speak to her when making an appointment), reports, easily navigating to locate information, report cards, numerous options for a variety of details

Cons: Outdated videos, but I prefer the customer service any way.

Pros: The amazing customer service! Any time I have an issue they explain things perfect and it makes the program simpler.

Cons: Transcripts! The way they are set up and work is so tricky and causes issues. Also no undo button that should be a thing for up to 60 seconds after taking an action for in case of accidents.

Pros: I like all the data and reports available. I feel like we are just beginning to access all that is available.

Cons: It is hard to self navigate, I feel as though I contact [sensitive content hidden] often. Our calls are shorter and shorter because often times it is something I just need a little nudge in the correct direction.
