Overall, my experience with McGraw-Hill Connect has been a mix of convenience and occasional annoyance. It definitely helps keep coursework structured and gives useful feedback, but the technical hiccups can make it stressful. Still, it’s a solid tool for learning when everything is running smoothly.
Pros: What I like most about McGraw-Hill Connect is how organized everything is. The assignments, readings, and practice problems are all in one place, which makes it easier to keep track of what’s due. The auto‑graded quizzes and instant feedback are super helpful when you’re trying to figure out what you actually understand.
Cons: The platform can feel slow or glitchy at times, especially during peak hours or timed assignments. Some of the navigation feels a bit clunky, and certain features aren’t as intuitive as they should be. It can also be frustrating when instructors rely heavily on it, because even small tech issues can mess up your workflow.

Absolutely horrible. McGraw Hill does not deserve to be a website used by teachers to actually teach stuff.
Pros: I did not like anything about McGraw Hill. It is "genuinely atrocious." Why schools use this for learning is beyond me.
Cons: The text does not make sense. On some buttons, it says "submit" even though it is just asking you what setting you want. Multiple people were confused because they thought they had to actually submit something. Also, the website has no help buttons, no how-to buttons, no nothing. It is also extremely laggy, and takes almost a full minute to load the website. Finally, it doesn't actually teach you anything!

My overall experience with McGraw Hill is it help me find an connect with so many great education services and learning
Pros: What I like most about McGraw Hill connect it that it's a great way to communicate with other learning sources and data for learning materials online
Cons: Nothing I like least a great platform to use for learning skills and building educational skills in classrooms
Cassandra J. · Teacher · Education Management · February 17, 2026
I think it's a great resource. I will intermingle what McGraw-Hill Connect offers with my own plans based on the readings provided in their textbook to create engaging lessons.
Pros: A person can find games, including links to Kahoot Games, guided readings, presentations, videos, current events resources, interactives, etc. on McGraw-Hill Connect.
Cons: This is not an issue with the product itself, but because some learning management systems don't always have the capability to easily link to the website, sometimes students have to click multiple links to get to the product.

Pros: With great security, value for money, clear customer support, progress tracking McGraw-Hill connect make online learning, student and teacher management and student course management
Cons: I don't have anything that I least like about McGraw Hill Connect. The only challenge that I face is sometimes the syncing with canvas but once it works, it works.

Overall it has been a positive experience using their textbook and its features. It has helped me excel in my education.
Pros: McGraw-Hill does a great job at providing online textbooks. Not only do they provide the text but they also provide learning resources like highlighter or flashcards.
Cons: The only downside to McGraw Hill are the pages. Sometimes it is confusing where the page numbers are and how to scroll.

unable to complete assignments, timeout errors, open a support case every time you want to use it
Pros: nothing, the application will not load homework. when it does you better finish it in 5 minutes
Cons: there is nothing about this application that works. you will be better off getting a zero and trying another class

My overall experience with Connect has been positive. My students actually enjoy completing assignments online using the software. Once students finish an assignment, they get feedback immediately. This allows the teacher to see what each student is having trouble with.
Pros: McGraw-Hill Connect is a mathematical software created by McGraw-Hill. One of the main things I love about the software is I can integrate the program for all of my math classes. I have taught Algebra 2, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Senior Transition. I was able to integrate Connect for each of these classes. The best feature is Connect tailors' assignments for each individual student. If a student is struggling with a certain type of problem, the program will make sure to give that student more problems to practice. Students no longer have to keep doing the same type of problem over and over again. Connect has made my life so much easier.
Cons: One of the only complaints I have for Connect is it's difficult to learn all of the available features. It took me awhile to figure out how everything worked. After spending time on the software, it's no longer a problem. The learning curb is high compared to other programs.

It’s a well-structured platform that supports learning with clear assignments, automatic grading, and instant feedback.
Pros: The assignments, quizzes, and learning resources are all clearly laid out, making it easy to follow along with the course
Cons: There wasn’t much flexibility in how assignments were presented or how could navigate between sections

As a vendor they can be a bit aggressive about pushing their product to higher ed institutions...I get it because that's how they make money.
Pros: Helps our instructors provide interactive activities for their course subject materials.
Cons: The potential prohibitive cost of student adoption
Jeffrey A. · Software Developer Senior · Higher Education · March 28, 2025
takes way longer than intended even when I know the material and have read everything.
Pros: Awful sight. gives too much un- needed information. Horrible point system
Cons: Refers to African- Americans as "Blacks"
Jazmine P. · Student · Higher Education · February 8, 2025
I have used several programs and this had made it so much easier. I have everything I need in one place anytime I need it.
Pros: It is great to have all of the programs together. Streamlined so that you can easily access everything you need.
Cons: Sometimes it can be buggy or freeze, but it’s usually fine quickly or after a restart.

Horrible, you do not get what you pay for. This company is a monopoly, and it should be illegal to be this bad and charge as much as you do! It takes me twice as long to finish a chapter just because I get logged out, and it takes 10 mins to log back in. PPPPLLLLLLEEESSSEEE fix this website, I am begging you!!!!!
Pros: I like nothing about this site. It is a headache to use. Student want simple things that work, especially when we pay $1000s each semester for e-books and connect!
Cons: This whole site needs an upgrade. it logs you out every 20 minutes. it takes 10 mins to log back in. We pay entirely way to much every semester for this site to be this aweful. Please hire the people who work on salesforce to fix your site.
Cheryl l. · student · Business Supplies and Equipment · December 12, 2024
Pros: I liked that it was simple to use and administer to students.
Cons: Oftentimes, too many questions were included on these practice exams, which would take students too long to complete. No problems with the software itself.
Olivia C. · Office Assistant · Higher Education · November 15, 2024
Overall, I have enjoyed my time using this software for high education purposes.
Pros: This is my fourth time using Mcgraw for textbook and assignments, I love this software. This is an easy-to-use program that assists in the learning of topic through well throughout assignments and activities.
Cons: The cost is a downside for me, the plus is an entire semester is covered but it is costly for program.
Geena M. · Student · E-Learning · October 26, 2024
My overall experience was trash and a waste of time. The book access is okay but the assignment system is trash and I have to put up with them for the rest of the semester. I hope that OU switches to something else other than this trashy system.
Pros: That I could at least work on my assingments there.
Cons: I hate it. Because everytime I try to do my assignments on there it zaps out because they claims that the connection is down even though my wifi connection is there. Colleges should not use Mcgraw hill connect ever because it cannot make up it's mind between it wanting to work or not. Also if I could rate it zero stars I would because I took my accounting exam last Friday and the amount of times I had to log back in on a TIMED TEST is insane. Please get your act together or you will go bankrupt.
Lindsey O. · Student. · Accounting · October 24, 2024
I like the features on the site but the ease of use is horrible.
Pros: I like the games for students to play and the online features to project to the class.
Cons: It is NOT user friendly at all for first grade students.
Katie R. · Teacher · Education Management · October 21, 2024
Bad. Find somewhere that doesn't use this money-hungry company and save yourself hours of work that could be done in less than 30 minutes. <3
Pros: It's visually appealing I guess, although for the price you pay... Sure, whatever.
Cons: Price-Absolutely ridiculous. Should not be this expensive for a e-book that expires. Concepts/Assignments- Incredibly tedious. Practically holds you at gunpoint until you answer the same exact question at least 4 times, and then does it again with every. Single. Question. I think I'd rather light myself on FIRE than spend another 4 hours doing 2 assignments with poorly-worded questions and absolutely ZERO feedback.
Shane M. · Student · E-Learning · September 25, 2024
This is the second class connect was so bad it dropped my grade. This system is worthless. If your school uses it I feel sorry for you. My only option is to drop the class and possibly find a college that doesn’t use this software
Pros: When I shut my computer and turn off their program
Cons: Customer support is terrible. Call goes to Philippines with no help. Instant chat took 20 minutes before they got to me. Then they told me they couldn’t help me. Video so low volume even support couldn’t hear it. Told me to use closed captions to do my homework.
James A. · Student · E-Learning · September 16, 2024
I think it is a great tool, but the actual courses provided need to be improved.
Pros: I liked how easily it integrated with canvas. It made it easy to connect with the classroom and access assignments.
Cons: I didn't like the courseware provided, it was not the best quality and often found easy ways to cheat and didn't require much thinking which caused me to fail several courses.

McGraw-Hill has a constant assistance in making the reliable training to business subscribers.
Pros: McGraw-Hill helps in managing all the learning, which increases the skills for users.
Cons: McGraw-Hill has a diverse training option, and this faces no challenges.
Garlasco L. · Digital Marketer · Health, Wellness and Fitness · March 20, 2024
I only used the Math resources but I used them as both student and teacher.
Pros: I like the quality and amount of resources
Cons: I have no negatives to report while using these products
nicole l. · teacher · Education Management · February 24, 2024
I hate McGraw-Hill. They are greedy, and their site needs some major updates. Would not use it for your school.
Pros: Nothing. Why does higher ed book producers feel the need to capitalize on others? Because they don't care about those using their materials.
Cons: Everything. It is outragously expensive and you only get the product for a year at a time. After the year runs out you have to repurchase.
Emma H. · NA · Education Management · January 30, 2024
My overall experience is alright however, I won't take a course again if the professor will be using this application in their course.
Pros: I like that my homework is easily accessible.
Cons: The worst part of this whole site is that when you get something wrong, there is no guide or tips telling me what I should do to fix my answers. There is no videos or attachments that I could watch to help me complete assignments. McGraw-Hill is worth billions of dollars and does not have the student in mind when creating around a curriculum. If you type in "McGraw-Hill Connect review" into the search bar and scroll down you will see Reddit posts from many other people saying how awful the website is. So I don't want you to think it is just me saying this. Instead of writing a review in Reddit, I thought I could go straight to the source and let you know that change needs to happen for the long term success of the students taking these courses. McGraw-Hill Connect is already successful, so please help the students be successful too! Thank you so much.

It's made me consider my preference between it and the other side of a 12 gauge slug.
Pros: I dislike McGraw-Hill connect very much. It tests on reading comprehension and endurance more so than actual content.
Cons: The smart book assignments have a limited amount of concepts covered. Instead of application of class concepts, it is more a test of reading comprehension, and attention span. I do not feel that these need to be a long, and could stand to be more varied. It would be appreciated if the concepts matched up to the quizzes. The homework is much less busy, and multiple attempts have helped me consolidate the correct way to approach certain problems. Again, it suffers from narrow focus on conceptual spread when compared with quizzes.
