It has been very positive. My main contact, [sensitive content hidden], has been specifically wonderful. If you are busy, definitely opt for the white glove service.
Pros: The team has been so organized and attentive. From the first start up call and throughout the process.
Cons: For myself, I tried to build the sites on my own and so I am glad they have the white glove service.

The customer service is nice. However when you ask them a question they do not readily answer it they refer to a video. Sometimes that is helpful but to be so the video would have to follow the current screen setup and they don't. Sometimes you just need an answer, you don't need to watch a video.
Pros: The website for the homeowners is good. Communication through the website is easy to do. Homeowners can use it to reach the Board or whoever is chosen to receive the communication.
Cons: Their invoicing system is extremely poor. Could not have been designed by anyone with an accounting background. It is counter intuitive in every single regard.

I became the chairman of our subdivisions website committee at the beginning of 2024. I am not that knowledgeable when it comes to setting up websites, so the Help Desk people were a great help!
Pros: Very easy to use and prompt responses to any questions you might have. The templates are very easy to customize in order to make our website personalized to our subdivision.
Cons: That it's not FREE - ha ha.... never would expect something this good to be free. I really have nothing else to complain about!

From the beginning, we found the software to be very user-friendly and intuitive. The setup process was straightforward, and we were able to get our website up and running quickly without any technical hurdles. The platform makes it easy to manage documents, communicate with residents, and keep our community informed. Overall, HOA Start has made our HOA operations more efficient and organized. We’re very pleased with the functionality and support we've received!
Pros: Very easy to set up our site. The tutorials were easy to follow and support staff were great when I hit a snag.
Cons: I would have like to have a weather report on the page that is live rather than having to put in a link.

10 out of 10 experience! From set up to going live! The staff at HOA Start are extremely responsive to any issues that might arise and will have an answer almost immediately.
Pros: How responsive they are to any issues or problems that arise. While setting up the site they were always available with any questions or concerns that I had.
Cons: I can say I have not encountered anything that I like least about HOA Start. My experience has been nothing but positive.

Amazing! Our onboarding specialist responded quickly to questions and the ability to implement and then continue to add features allow us to get to our community onto a platform that absolutely reflects our needs.
Pros: HOA Start has made our transition into community self-management a real 5-star experience. The platform is amazing and they HOA Start people are even better! Their on-boarding process is best of class--along with FAQs, Tutorials, and great onboarding specialists. Absolutely seamless!
Cons: No real cons! The documentation for the features is distributed a bit between tutorials, FAQs and You Tube training...so as long as you are methodical in following the on-boarding steps (designed to keep you progressing in the proper sequence), your implementation will be frictionless.

Excellent! I have little experience with building sites this way, but I can't imagine receiving better service.
Pros: I appreciated the personal attention I received, understanding your end goal, and getting you there. [sensitive content hidden] was who I worked with the most. She was always available, and I never felt like a question was dumb or an ask was too small. I could talk to her like a friend, explain what I was going for, and she would make sure I got what I wanted.
Cons: Nothing stood out, but maybe the page layouts were a little confusing. Some edits were in two places, like a page edit vs a widget edit. It's a little touchy making for a sharper learning curve, but once you figure it out it's not as bad.

We upgraded from another service and found HOA Start to be extremely helpful in our transition. They were very responsive to our questions and needs. We are now upgrading and they created tailored videos for our review to assist us in making a decision.
Pros: 1). It is intuitive and easy to use 2). We were able to add community specific features to the website 3). Text messaging - we use this for emergency notifications 4). We can update/maintain from any device - phone, tablet, and computer 5). Secure offering
Cons: 1). We started with the basic plan which meant that we did not have access to certain features - now after some additional investigation, we plan to upgrade - wish we had some of this from the beginning.

Overall, my experience with HOA Start has been very positive. The platform is easy to navigate, well-organized, and tailored to the needs of HOA communities. It’s made it much easier to keep residents informed, share documents, and handle administrative tasks online. The standout feature is definitely their support team—quick responses and helpful solutions every time I’ve submitted a ticket. That level of service gives real peace of mind. There’s still room for improvement, especially in the maintenance request tracking and photo preview features, but even with those limitations, it’s been a major upgrade from what we were using before. Definitely recommend it for any HOA looking to modernize communication and operations.
Pros: The best part about HOA Start is their support ticket system—it’s fast, reliable, and actually solves problems quickly. It makes managing the website feel stress-free, even if you’re not super tech-savvy.
Cons: The maintenance ticket tracking could use improvement. Right now, the only options are “Approved” or “Rejected,” which isn’t enough for real-time updates or follow-through. It would be much more useful to have additional statuses like “Scheduled,” “In Progress,” or “Completed” so residents and management can track progress more clearly. Also, when residents upload photos with their requests, there's no option to preview the image—you have to download it first, which adds unnecessary steps and slows down workflow. These aren’t dealbreakers, but they definitely stand out in day-to-day use.

Very positive. I would recommend to any AOAO or HOA. The support is very good. When submitting a ticket the response is very quick.
Pros: It is feature rich and easy to setup. The site setup management is very straightforward to use, allowing a site to be created very quickly. The forms is another easy to use and very flexible design making a lot of customization to be done.
Cons: I do not really have a least favorite thing. While nothing is perfect and difficult as each community is different, I think it hits all the points that a community would need. I do wish the ticketing was a bit more robust. Two suggestions: 1) ability to mark the ticket “closed/done” 2) ability to adjust the initial problem description.

Every member of the team went over the top to ensure our product was the best it could be. We introduced Stripe for member assessment payments and the team worked with us to get that established as well.
Pros: Whole team was responsive and worked with us to get our site loaded and functional. Jazmin and rest of client service team not only worked with us but also completed activities and offered suggestions to make our community website the best it could be.
Cons: Great value for money as well! Really nothing to note. They continued to work with us after the rollout.

From the very beginning, our Concierge, [sensitive content hidden], has provided excellent service on a daily basis. She is patient, knowledgeable, and creative. She answered my questions in the order I needed them. The quality of the product is beautiful and informative. This is our Association's first ever website in over 50 years of existence. She has been the absolute difference to make it the best quality, using the features we were interested in.
Pros: The quality of the service to our Association. White Glove Concierge [sensitive content hidden] provided excellent service for our website build on a daily basis. She is amazing.
Cons: Nothing! I would highly recommend it to anyone. They offer 6 templates to choose from and then they are customized to meet your needs.

Excellent so far. Hoping the upgrades come through as promised. Onboarding is with you every step of the way and continues for the life of the contract.
Pros: The ease of use, document repository and customer support. Website is easy to use and offers many different templates to give your site a built by a professional look.
Cons: Still many features "in the works". Bulk emailing needs serious upgrades to include templates and delay sending options.

Truly beyond expectations. The final product is highly attractive and professional. The set-up was fast and easy to learn. The functionality is robust and thoughtful. The staff were considerate, patient, and knowledgeable. The price is hard to beat. With HOAStart available, a condominium group would be a bit crazy NOT to have a website to help keep things organized, transparent, and efficient.
Pros: It's very hard to limit this answer to "most" -- there is a LOT to like. When finished, the website looks like a high cost, professionally done, highly customized platform. But, it was easy to learn and the final product is simply amazing. Plus, the HOA START team holds your hand every step of the way -- at YOUR pace. Anyone can do this. And, this website has made it possible not just to communicate...but to get our Condo organized for the first time in 30 years. Rather than shoeboxes of old files and information buried in the email boxes of previous officers...we now have a centralized repository for our information, our communication, and our processes.
Cons: I would like to be able to customized the Personal Dashboard a bit more. But, to be honest, I don't really need my owners to use the dashboard -- I want them to be focused on the Main Menu. So, this has not been an issue at all.

Very good customer service and help getting started.
Pros: Great value and feature set for the price. I also like the simplicity and ease of use of this this software. Once you learn it, it's very easy navigate and use as an admin. Very accessible software for elderly population.
Cons: The cloud drive could be better at searching all folders instead of just one at a time. Or uploading multiple folders at a time. Could use better iOS and android app integration for things like messaging to get notifications. With that said, still a great value.

We evaluated a number of HOA website alternatives and found HOA Start to be very cost-effective, flexible and comprehensive. They have been easy to work with. I would recommend them to any HOA or condo looking for an easy-to-manage solution.
Pros: Very easy to deal with. Their website is easy to navigate and very flexible. It makes communication with our owners easy. They provide a lot of templates that are useful to the board. They answer our questions promptly. We really like the ability to accept dues through Stripe.
Cons: We have been using them for about 20 months and no issues.

Pros: It looks great, is easy to use and has a lot of functionality needed to manage our HOA. We had a successful election and the use the one time charges has been a game changer.
