Pros: As a business what we liked most about Papertrail is how completely it transforms our asset and maintenance management. It streamlines LOLER inspections, improves reporting, and makes every record easy to access and verify. The barcode/QR scanning saves huge amounts of time, and user access controls keep everything secure and well-organised. For the value it delivers especially in compliance assurance and operational efficiency it is exceptional, giving us confidence that every piece of equipment that goes out the door is safe, traceable, and ready for deployment.

Cons: What we liked least as a business about Papertrail was the initial learning curve when moving from spreadsheets to a structured digital system. It required time to organise assets, set up user permissions, and understand all the features. However, this was a one-off challenge, and once we were set up, the platform became intuitive. The long-term gains in security, reporting accuracy, and ease of maintenance management far outweigh the early effort.

Pros: It keeps a record of all checks and is accessible to go back to whenever I need to. it is also good value for the number of sections you can have on 1 system.

Cons: poorly laid out in some areas on the drop-down bars, not user-friendly when trying to find equipment, also on the main page, it is difficult to see what check have been done.

Pros: When you find the folder, you need to be in it is relatively easy to use. Would it be possible to have an "offline" mode?

Cons: It appears unorganised. Nothing is in alphabetical order. There are folders within folders within folders.

Pros: Excellent customer support and the features to maintain a compliant inventory of harnesses in our case to the level of detail of personal use

Cons: Not being able to customize myself since there is some wording that could be improved - safety to use should be changed for equipment that is past due inspection

Pros: Papertrail is especially useful for tracking and logging equipment inspection/maintenance schedules with real-time monitoring. We have a large amount of kit which Papertrail can accommodate no problem. The set-up is straightforward and multiple users can use the system across any device, making it accessibility-friendly, and ideal for using on-the-go.

Cons: It is reasonably priced for a small/mid-size team, however, costs increase as you add more users/capabilities so for a larger team, it may not be a great option.

Pros: Managing vehicles and maintaining kit aswell as HR and training

Cons: price, but the system is good enough that it outweighs the cost

Pros: Really comprehensive fall arrest equipment management platform that works as it should.

Cons: Filtering of records could be a little more intuitive

Pros: One of the standout features of Papertrail is it ease of use. The system is well-orgaqnised and intuitive, making it simple for all of our team to navigate. The clarity has saved us valuable time in managing our equipment and workflows. The new Analytics bolt on is amazing, it enables us to pull of our team information for clients with ease.

Cons: While exporting reports is generally good, it can become cumbersome due to the sheer volume of equipment and information we manage. The size of reports can be overwhelming at times, which may detract from the overall experience.

Pros: Its ease of use and versatility, we use it for everything from PPE thorough inspections to daily task schedules and MOT/ service records. Particularly like the record sorting/search functions along with the analytics

Cons: could be easier to create/ edit checklists

Pros: Awesome onboarding, flawless live support. These people really care about their customers.

Cons: In comparison to other -newer - startups - the look and feel is a little bit outdated.

Pros: User friendly platform. It allow me to track all of my equipment and challenge courses plus reminds me when items need retired or inspected. I don't feel like I have to stress about remembering all of it because Papertrail helps me remember.

Cons: Not much to complain about this is really a me thing. As someone who forgets to do things a lot. I wish I could back date or see notes in the on the task that i create easier. I tend to forget to put in maintenance project that I have done immediately. Even if I could just see notes that I add better, then when I forget, less of an issue.

Pros: - easy to use - makes generating LOLER reports for clients really easy and saves time constantly logging inspections - Easy to use layout and interface and logical order to the system - The ability to tag equipment so that kits/inventories can be brought up in seconds to give to clients. - Certification matrix makes it easy to keep track of when certificates/trainings are going to expire. - Makes accreditation easier. - Excellent customer service

Cons: No cons. This system has been life changing for our company!

Pros: Very efficient and great compliancy software!

Cons: Very little, it works well in all areas. Initially it was a little tricky to set up but the level of support they offer takes care of that.

Pros: The assets management system they have built is quick and easy to use with some of the friendliest staff around. I have worked with the sales, development, tech and marketing department, they are all very willing to help.

Cons: Only had one issue which I know that the development are looking into, and that is when you're on inspections you cant "jump" to a serial number

Pros: How ergonomically PLEASING it is. Life never been so easy.

Cons: Can't move between accounts on ipads. This would be really helpful as we do mobile work.

Pros: Ease of managing and tracking PPE assets.

Cons: Missing feature to track who has certain assets. Perhaps in future a booking sign-in and sign out feature. This could build up a bigger picture of where an assets has been and for what it was used for.

Pros: Easy use, Really helpful support team, offers everything required for asset management in one place.

Cons: Nothing as yet, we are still in the launching phase.

Pros: Its very easy to use, set up folders and if you're insure then the online support is also a huge help

Cons: The only things that I think I would like changed are that it would be good to see a small image of the cert that's been uploaded, without having to click into the record, It shows that there is a possibility to have an image, and I'm sure that there must be a way, but I'm not certain how it works. The only other thing is that when I try and put my folders into a certain order (alphabetical) they keep moving slightly and they won't stay in place/order. Again, I'm not sure how that can be remedied, its just annoying more than anything.

Pros: We love how easy it is to induct new members of staff on the system. Once it's set up it just runs in the background so we can easily keep track of all of our equipment.

Cons: Pricing structure quite high

Pros: I like the historical traceability of our LOLER and PUWER records. We can add data easily, and we retain every piece of information relating to the piece of equipment or tool.

Cons: sometimes the "find" field is frustrating in that it won't search spaces, and won't start to work until at least three characters are in.

Pros: Honestly, there's nothing I like about Papertrail.

Cons: Makes very easy file storage very complicated. Too cumbersome when I can do everything I need in one spreadsheet.

Pros: Visually easy to navigate and use, i like the amount of control i have setting up records etc

Cons: Nothing, every thing I didn't know how to do I just asked the team and got the answers I needed.

Pros: I've had a great experience with Papertrail. The Papertrail team have an innovative, forward-thinking approach to their product that has revolutionised our PPE and equipment management. Their team has shown great attention to my requirements as a customer, ensuring that all our needs are met efficiently. Highly recommended!

Cons: While I've had a great experience with Papertrail, there are a couple of minor issues. Sometimes the app can be a bit slow, even with good WiFi connectivity. Additionally, the size of the icons on the app can make it easy to accidentally press the wrong button. However, these are minor inconveniences in an otherwise excellent product.
