We were charged for several months following our cancelation with this group. Apparently, you have to tell them to 'super cancel' your account; otherwise they will charge you for offline / partial services. Who partially cancels anything? They refused to refund us the entirety of those months and only gave us one month. More recently, we come to find out that they were again continuing to charge us, saying that we were past due 2 months… I'm even currently on the phone with their customer service team and have been on hold for going on 33 mins now, saying the wait should be 1-2mins after they hear back from the accounting department. I don't believe they will assist me further with this cancelation and may even begin charging my children at this point.
Pros: Based on our experience working with this company in regards to cancelation, it's very difficult to find anything positive about this group.
Cons: Customer service and poor standards. They are quick to give you the cold shoulder when you notify them of canceling services, but even quicker when it comes to continuing to charge you for offline services even though you've terminated services months before.

Not a good overall experience, at all. They did not live up to the commitments they made, and the customer service was bad. If it functioned as they promised then it might be all right, but we never experienced this. We do not recommend to other clients.

Domain confidence 98%
Cons: The software and updates are clunky. It does not manage claims well, and the customer service is terrible. Good luck getting a response from them in a timely manner. Many times, we had to call CMS or other entities to determine what the software was not doing. Highly frustrating to use this software.

Prior to use of extensive version, this format has been easy to use, now I am not pleased with the extensive version
Pros: Ease of basic format. Ability to use mobile device to enter in data and/or complete document
Cons: Only recently has agency required more extensive version of evaluation/assessment and it is long and tedious to perform, it appears to be more of an OASIS than the previous used format for Eval

We have been using Axxess for over 10 years. Back then, the options were limited and it was one of the first we demoed. I guess, they are too big to fail each client and will not care whether you stay or go. Their accounting person [sensitive content hidden] is so rule and does not care about client retention. I bet if they check their statistics, they will notice that clients are leaving in flocks (every demo I did with other companies told me that many Axxess users are switching). Don't think you are too big to fail, the time will come if you dont' value your clients.
Pros: We use just a limited number of features from the system. The user friendly interface and ease of scheduling.
Cons: Pricing... I have been looking at other software to switch from Axxess due to pricing. They are at least 3x as expensive as others. If you are in a process of looking for a new software, keep looking. There are more affordable options with similar features, and more (option to send faxes from the system, as an example)Slow in fixing the bugs.... I assume if they charge an arm and a leg for the services they should be faster in resolving glitches. They are not. The ticketing system is easy to use, but they take months at times to "fix" the issue, and then never fix.

Terrible customer support
Pros: Sometimes it works, sometimes it even bills correctly.
Cons: Monthly glitches in the software and no support when you need to fix the issues.
Chuck M. · Administrator · Hospital & Health Care · June 23, 2023
Started off good, but got way to expensive during the first year of using it.
Pros: The scheduling was very user friendly. Adding new clients and staff was quite effortless as well. Mobile app was kept updated
Cons: Every month our bill was increased, sometimes with no reason or explanation at all, other times was told it was maintenance fees each month, but why was it being increased?
Ryan L. · Office Associate · Health, Wellness and Fitness · December 19, 2022
If you never need assistance, the software works as it should but once as there is an outstanding problem, good luck with anyone helping you with your issue... they don't care about their clients and just want to automatically debit accounts for monthly fees which is their main goal at all points in time.
Pros: The billing software was generally good and easy to use until the organization decided to raise the pricing to use the billing only software 250% after which we exited our relationship with the company entirely.
Cons: Customer service representatives NEVER call you back when detailing an issue with the system. I have had a problem after terminating our use with their billing system for 3+ weeks and they still have not contacted or attempted to resolve the issue. The customer service line are message takers and can never resolve any issue themselves, and always state they have contacted the department associated with the issue but you never receive a call from the department that can actually help you with an issue.

Horrible customer service.
Pros: Can schedule, bill, and process payroll batch all from the same software.
Cons: Always has glitches, often slow, not user friendly.

Overal, our agency is very excited about using AXXESS for the 4 months we've used the software
Pros: Ease of use and the many dashboards that help with tracking performance on key measures. The AXXESS care feature is also great for staffing
Cons: The fact that the form creator and electronic signature feature for Home Health is not yet operational
Jacob M. · President & CEO · Hospital & Health Care · July 6, 2021
Excellent
Pros: What I like best is the patient face sheet module. Its so simple to put patient information.
Cons: it easy to maneuver. The step by step is easy to teach and very understandable.
Miriam K. · Director of Operations · Hospital & Health Care · May 18, 2021
Pros: The ease of use and my husband liked the billing system
Cons: Trying to call into Customer Service, I have been left on hold for over an hour on several occasions.
Glynis W. · Adm/Owner · Hospital & Health Care · February 22, 2021
Pros: The most I like about this software is allows for quick and easy documentation
Cons: Have to type each and every time, doesn’t have pull up tab
Ashita P. · Pta · Hospital & Health Care · July 23, 2020
Poor customer service! They always gave us a ticket number that most of the time we had to follow up on instead of their staff following up with us. Axxess Staff should be trained more thoroughly with troubleshoooting problems
Pros: It’s less complicated than the other softwares we tried.
Cons: Customer support staff were inconsistent in troubleshooting our issue with submitting claims under PDGM which has caused a major delay in our billing process. We got different answers from different staff, depending on who we spoke with. Very frustrating especially when you have payroll to worry about. I have a full report of what transpired for any inquiries.
Leilani F. · CEO · Hospital & Health Care · March 5, 2020
This is the worst experience and has cost our company citations, money, employees, revenue, time, and much more. Please really do your research. They also have many "add on's" they get you with them then say oh yeah you have to pay extra for that! buyer beware. This company has very poor ethics and is managed and run poor. The CEO is obviously not interested in good business but only bottom line. We have contacted our attorney and the OIG, as well as BBB and Attorney General. It will be a long process but worth it to expose these poor practices.
Pros: There is truly nothing good to say or recommend. This product is a failure at every end. We have a lot of empty promises and tons of people who don't even understand their own product that say they will fix the issues and never do.
Cons: $79
Kelley M. · Compliance Officer · Hospital & Health Care · August 14, 2019
Pros: It is self explanatory and user friendly, easy to learn.
Cons: Training modules can be tricky to understand
Sarah G. · occupational therapist · Hospital & Health Care · August 6, 2019
Pros: I like the layout of charts. It looks simple and nicely organized. It's easy to schedule visits, and review the record of each discipline. Axxess has tried hard to respond to the change of regulations and modified the format of the documentation to meet the requirement. They have offered more webinars lately to educate users. They also have CAHPS services as well. They automatically generate the list of patients and send out the survey. It's convenient. You can also see the details and review the report.
Cons: I have a feeling that their help center doesn't have enough staffs. When you call them, it takes time to be connected with the representative. You can create a ticket for the issue you have, but it also takes some time to resolve the issue. With the recent updates, there were glitches. I informed Axxess and they are working on it. However things are not resolved yet. The fee for Axxess CAHPS service is higher than I used to pay to the previous vendor.
Ju Yeon H. · Clinical Director · Health, Wellness and Fitness · July 16, 2019
Very helpful customer service
Pros: User friendly Staffing ease Remote access
Cons: None so far but will inform if a problem
Judy K. · Owner · Health, Wellness and Fitness · March 19, 2019
Pros: 1) Effective in managing the tasks 2) The regular updates keep the software smooth 3) Easy to use for the new joiners too.
Cons: 1) The billing department is not happy as it gets difficult to manage insurance cases. 2) I m sure they can work on 'Print cue'. This will save our time.
Salwat H. · Co-founder · February 15, 2019
Pros: Navigation from screen to screen is easy and helps keeps task manageable. Messaging qualities are great for communication with different staff members within the agency
Cons: Reaching out to customer support is a headache and very much time consuming. Will be on hold for an hour at a time and may not even get accurate information.
Kehinde J. · Office Manager · February 12, 2019
Pros: The customer service truly tries their best and is very helpful and responsive. The product is also a decent value for the cost.
Cons: I was not impressed with a majority of the features and overall usability of this product as it was difficult to set up as well as implement.
Jess H. · CEO · Medical Practice · December 31, 2018
This software has many unintuitive and serious flaws are present that Axxess has been slow to address, if at all.
Pros: "Windowed" environment in browser allows for multiple windows to be viewed at once. Cloud based functionality means you can work anywhere, anytime.
Cons: Restrictive, system-wide lack of intuitive ease of use, built in reporting features are severely lacking.
Jason G. · Office Administrator · Hospital & Health Care · December 18, 2018
Pros: Easy to enter in profiles for patients and staff. Scheduling center is easy to use.
Cons: Unable to add notes under staff profiles. This would be a helpful feature to add so that the contacts you've made with this staff regarding scheduling, HR, etc could be documented and tracked.
Amber B. · Regional Director · Hospital & Health Care · November 7, 2018
Pros: Very visually appealing, easy to navigate
Cons: Point of care options are limited, reports could need upgrading
Lynn S. · I/DD therapist recruiter · Health, Wellness and Fitness · November 6, 2018
Pros: When we started with the company in 2013 we were somewhat pleased with the software. It had it perks.
Cons: This software had us so out of compliance with the COPs and state regulations that it has taken us 7 months to begin to get back in to compliance. We had to change software in order to do this. Then we had a nurse who was not doing her job and using the copying feature which we were advised was a great thing by Axxess but ended up getting us further out of compliance. The customer service was horrible and my staff and I not only called, emailed support but upper management without calls back or follow ups. After stopping payment they shut us off midday jeopardizing patient safety. We pulled our records but most were corrupted and blank.
shelly l. · Owner · Hospital & Health Care · November 2, 2018
Pros: I really like the scheduling aspect of this software. Gives you lots of options without being overbearing. Easy to use functionality.
Cons: There is not an option to change a user's email on the front end. The developer has to be contacted in order to change an email address. Seems like it should be easier than this.
