Seems like they are continually trying to improve and I appreciate that. I still prefer to use this EMR over others I've used in the past like Suncoast or HCHB.
Pros: The HOPE dashboard made the transition from HIS easy. I personally find the EMR to be user-friendly. They have made significant improvements over the years to the forms and tools available.
Cons: While they are very good at fixing problems once identified the timeline on fixing has been slow at times.

I use Hospice Tools to access patient and caregiver data. It is user-friendly and provides data at your fingertips. I recommend Hospice Tools for all hospices.
Pros: User-friendly with patient data at your fingertips. I can find patient and caregiver data, as well as employee information.
Cons: It would be nice to be able to search for patients by the caregiver's name. In a few instances, I was trying to find a patient; however, I only had the caregiver's name.

However, when learning how to use hospice tools, I can say that I have had a good experience when using it, and it has been easy to navigate.
Pros: Hospice tool is a platform that is easy to navigate and learn with the help of other employees teaching me system.
Cons: Based on my experience with the hospice tool, I have learnt that this website can use more features and suggestions from individuals who use it daily.

My overall experience with Hospice Tools is good. And I am starting to see more improvement and updates.
Pros: What I like most about Hospice tools is that it is a very friendly EMR system to use. I like how you can use different audit reports.
Cons: What I like least about Hospice Tools is I wish it had an option to look up a patient by his/her birthday.

Quite satisfied with product because it gives me number 1 confidence and number 2 proficiency in my charting!!
Pros: Ease of use, user-friendly that enhances patient care and efficient documentation. Easy to locate patient information. Also the ability to work with time keeping programs.
Cons: Would like capability to screen shot the last six full sets of vitals for faster access during visit.

I like it. I can access it from many divices, all the information needed is one place and information is secure.
Pros: User friendy and all the data in one place. Intergrated process information that is needed to see, shared and in-put information.
Cons: Not much, however, the updates creates a lag, but overall it's still user friendly. Many time you have to open up additional windows to gather and see other information regarding patient information.

Whether I'm looking for patient, account, or sales rep info, Hospice Tools delivers the information to me in an easy and understandable format.
Pros: I'm a before and after user, meaning I gathered information for my job before hospice tools and currently use them to get the same information and more. I love working with this program. It's easy, uncomplicated and accurate. No matter where my search leads me, different states, sites, specific accounts, Hospice Tools gets me there.
Cons: It meets my needs in an uncomplicated, accurate way. Before Hospice Tools, I was an expert in digging for and gathering sales information on my own. I knew what I needed and went on a treasure hunt to find it. Hospice Tools has anticipated my searches and provided the information. What more could I ask for?

From the first day at the unity I had not any issues to complete every forms on eDocs. Also I like it gives you opportunity to fix your mistakes and make amendments the documents.
Pros: The unity hospice eDocs application very easy to manage and document about the patient’s concerns and thoughts. It is very straightforward and you can fix your mistakes.
Cons: In my view cons are the application easily forgot you credentials and frequently asks you to change your password or require from you to log in again.

My overall experience with Hospice Tools is very good and it is useful for me when I have to record my volunteer time
Pros: I as a part time volunteer for Unity Hospice for the WI office, I am new to Hospice Tools, and I am still learning all the new features of Hospice Tools and what is good of it. I use Hospice Tools to record my time that I am volunteering at the Unity Hospice at the WI office. I find it very valuable.
Cons: There is nothing that I can think of that I find Hospice Tools that is not good. I am using it for volunteer.

It makes documentation easier. I like that they are constantly editing and adding new features to make it more user friendly
Pros: It is easy to access over the phone and computer. I like that Edocs automatically transfer to timekeeper
Cons: The nurses are not able to view previously entered reports trend like weight and Vital signs on Edocs without having to open a new comprehensive visit note

I have had a good experience using Hospice Tools hopefully they can iron out the issues and make it even better
Pros: very user friendly and easy to use and navigate. Hopefully in the future it will be even better to use
Cons: It can be slow at times and saving documents can be an issue. when adding notes I wish it was easy for everyone to see in one place.
Jennifer B. · BILLER · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
Excellent team that is always kind and easy to work with. Often, changes are required, and the team is always up for the challenge.
Pros: Easy to navigate and easy to learn for new clinicians and surveyors who choose to work within the system instead of having us print out chart copies and give to them.
Cons: It would make things easier for the team if the program could be filled in offline and uploaded later when connecting to the internet is a problem out in the field.
Eileen M. · Director of Education and Professional Development · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
Overall, my experience with Hospice Tools is very positive. I started out using Hospice Tools with very little computer knowledge, and it was very easy for me to pick up.
Pros: The Hospice Tools software is very intuitive, which is very helpful for people who are less savvy with technology. It is easy to create documentation, and also easy to run reports with the Hospice Tools software.
Cons: One downside to Hospice Tools is that each document I print results in an additional sheet of paper being printed that is unnecessary as it only contains a footer, no data. This results in me using twice the amount of paper every time I need to print documents.
Karin F. · Human Resources · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
Only been using it for less than 90 days and so far it has been the easiest program I have used in my 15 years of nursing.
Pros: I love being able to open several tools at a time. Being able to visits on your calendar while in a patient's chart is so helpful.
Cons: When you place a treatment order under the wound table, you have to go out of your current document and go to another document to place the order for it to show up so you can complete your wound document.
Heather W. · Registered Nurse Case Manager · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
My overall experience with this application has been okay with no major complaints or issues to report.
Pros: I find the application easy to navigate. Any issues that I may have encountered, were readily explained.
Cons: Some of the questions that are expected and required for us to address are not starred as are others.
Renee J. · Registered Nurse · Health, Wellness and Fitness · June 25, 2025
as a brand new hospice nurse, EO is helping me understand my job better by knowing what is required to document
Pros: Well thought out, easy to use, comprehensive information, the app responses exactly like the website on a laptop
Cons: buggy, especially trying to update the calendar, or make changes to rejected documents - often says that we need to either close or refresh the window, and work i have done was not saved. Ai hasn’t helped me yet
Mia P. · RN case manager · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
I have used hospice tools since its inception and found it to be easy to use. That's important for me. I don't have to search hard for any document to see, the tabs are all there for all disciplines and I am able to look at notes from others if necessary.
Pros: It is easy to use and gives specific instructions and tell you when you get it wrong. I don't have to search hard for information on a patient.
Cons: There is no way to view your password after you enter it. It would be helpful if we could see it before we send it.
Ken L. · Intake specialist and Chaplain · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
It has been a very good experience. I have used other documentation programs which have not been hospice-centric and difficult to use.
Pros: I like that it is hospice centered, easy to use and reminds you of what is necessary to enter for complete documentation.
Cons: That with the filter in the edoc notes the contents are not listed in alphabetical order. I have no other issues with Hospice Tools.
Monica M. · RN Case Manager · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
My overall experience with Hospice Tools is positive and I notice more pros than cons. That being said the website can improve.
Pros: Hospice Tools pros consist of its ease of use and efficiency. Hospice Tools has easy navigation due to platform design, and quick page loading times.
Cons: From my experience, the page timeouts and occasional random crashes are the most frustrating aspects of Hospice Tools.
Arthur G. · Administrative Assistant · Hospital & Health Care · June 25, 2025
Good experience with documentation overall, I am satisfied with the level of organization and the amount of clinical awareness it has in allowing proper medical documentation.
Pros: UI is very intuitive, easy to navigate, organizes docs and it’s easy to access documents that aren’t finished.
Cons: Difficulty with encounter types and rigid authorization requirements for modification of care episodes e.g. palliative vs new hospice chart

Pros: I've used 4 different EMRs in my many Hospice jobs, and Hospice tools is by far the most user friendly, the easiest to navigate, the most intelligently built for the job I'm doing, and the least likely to force me to do double work or allow me to submit something incorrectly that requires later fixes. It's simple and intuitive, has almost every functionality that I could need, and probably saves me about 20 hours of work a month that I can now spend on more important things.
Cons: The volunteer platform could use some minor improvements but for the most part is great. This is the only EMR with integrated volunteer user interface that I've encountered, and it's easy for volunteers of all ages and tech-abilities to utilize.
Vera J. · Volunteer Coordinator · Hospital & Health Care · June 24, 2025
User friendly and easy to use. Makes it easy to chart head to toe assessments in order. Also easy to chart when in the home.
Pros: Easy to navigate. I like that most of the charting is checking off boxes. It is concise and to the point.
Cons: For the edema section i wish there was an option to chart non pitting edema. Maybe that can be changed
Sonam P. · Hospice nurse · Hospital & Health Care · June 24, 2025
Overall, it’s a fairly easy system to use. Some tweaks would make it better in my opinion. It is a pretty ubiquitous system and I think doing focus groups to add/modify features woudl benefit all hospices across the country.
Pros: Hospice Tools is generally easy to use and has quick drop down menus and free form fields to add more info.
Cons: It would be good to have “last entered data” next to the fields to remind what was filled in for the last visit note. There are some typos in the forms but nothing that obstructs the use of the program.
Pamela K. · RN Case Manager · Hospital & Health Care · June 24, 2025
I only have issues with hospice tools while working on my chrome book. There are no other issues with hospice tools
Pros: I like the accessibility to our Patients information. I have nothing else to add to the Pro section.
Cons: Need a section for forms so they can be assessed when in the field and more bandwidth for my chrome book
Sandra S. · Hospice social worker · Hospital & Health Care · June 24, 2025
It’s a good experience, but I don’t know why other Hospice chaplains I know don’t do near the documentation we do
Pros: All patient information is accessible and easy to access in real time. Can access what other coworkers are doing. That way before going into a visit I am knowledgeable about any change that might’ve taken place between visits
Cons: Some things in Hospice tools in Edocs are redundant. It would be nice if our care plans could self populate after visits. So, we didn’t have to go in and redo everything every visit.
