SAP SuccessFactors HCM is used mainly by enterprise firms in IT services and manufacturing to manage performance, compensation, and learning. Reviewers value its centralized employee database and goal-setting tools, but often cite pricing and speed as drawbacks. A 2025 update added AI-assisted performance reviews and sentiment analysis to improve feedback quality.

Very good. Setting and tracking goals worked very well. The review process was easily integrated into the overall plan.
Pros: SuccesFactors worked very well for setting and tracking goals. Whether it be quarterly or annually, the platform was great for keeping priorities in order and goals on track.
Cons: The ability to do a year over year comparison was not available. This function would help associates streamline goals and see progress beyond the current period.

Pros: Integration of onboarding, timesheets, calendar management, performance reviews, internal job applications and goals all in one place
Cons: Bugs in the calendar function where an employee submitting a flex dey request for a future quarter causes the employee to be unable to submit a flex day request in the current quarter.

Pros: Very reliable to use and easy to understand and easy to use. And easy to upload photos and comments.
Cons: Sometimes networking issues. Sometimes take longer time to upload the page and sometimes take long time to upload photos

SAP is an amazing product and I love using it and will not trade it for the world. the customer service is amazing and I am able to mange my operation
Pros: I like that it is great value for money, I can manage employee performance and and it is easy to use the admin management
Cons: there is nothing that I did not like about SAP, I have been using it for years when I worked for other companies, hence the reason I invested in it

Pros: Integrations with third parties & sap hcm.UI is good.Customization is easy. Support almost all modules like Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance management, Compensation & Payroll.
Cons: Need to provide more functionalities.Integration center needs to be improved.More focus on AIfeatures is required.

Overall the experience is good and the program does what is suppose to do. Can no comment regarding the value for the money, but for a manager this is all she/he needs for managing from HR perspective his/her team.
Pros: It is ensuring a proper management of your team and is reliable. It is quite easy to use, you do not need a full training.
Cons: Days off management could be improved. I found it difficult all the time to find how many days off I still have. The learning tool is also sometimes annoying with many automatic emails sent when the timelines are not achieved.

Good for existing SAP customers. Easy to migrate from on premise SAP HCM to SuccessFactors. Also integrates well with other hcm products. The user experience can feel inconsistent as you move between different modules (like Learning vs. Performance).
Pros: SuccessFactors supports large, complex, multinational organizations. It includes built-in localization for many countries. Good for large enterprises that need a system to manage a complex workforce. it is highly secure and configurable and can be adapted to fit unique and specific business processes.
Cons: Poor UI. Not user-friendly" and difficult to navigate. The interface is outdated or fragmented, especially when compared to more modern competitors.

Design of the app does not allow idiot proof usage. When I change my claim approver, it is difficult to navigate how to change. There are pages with a single word at the top that you wouldnt think is a link, but it is a link for you to click. navigating around is not obvious for first time users
Pros: allow me to submit claims. otherwise nothing much. previously MOHH had easier claim system before adopting SF
Cons: Difficult to set up. According to my workplace guide, I need to open a Qr code on people connexion and then use Success factors to scan the QR code to link. But peopleconnexion is unable to open the QR code.

My overall experience with SAP SuccessFactors has primarily been from the Learning Management Systems administration perspective. It can be straightforward, but it is nothing fancy.
Pros: SAP SuccessFactors is very structured and organized. Once you understand the basics of the platform, UX for users/learners is pretty straightforward.
Cons: It is a little bit clunky on the administrative end. There are a lot of possibilities, but it does take a lot lof learning and research to be able to administer in a clean way.

Worked efficiently for time tracking, project management updates, logistics chain management, submitting time off requests and time card. Was not optimally designed to track progress or accuracy of takt times on manufacturing projects.
Pros: Easy to navigate, a lot of control for the user which made taking care of important time tracking and updates to your profile fast and efficient. Great for project management and communicating between departments.
Cons: There are certain complexities to the program that aren't easy for the newest person or even a more experienced person to navigate. Albeit is comprehensive, the format is a bit archaic, as it is a lot like MsDOS in functionality. I personally didnt enjoy using this software for manufacturing projects.

I would use it mostly during performance review time. I liked how it stepped me through each of the requirements before I could advance.
Pros: My experience was very linear, as it should be. SuccessFactors is not something that I interact with often. So when I don't use it often, or even more importantly, for new people that are being onboarded, a clearly marked path in SuccessFactors helps to facilitate smooth onboarding. And for veterans, the clearly marked paths is helpful for review time.
Cons: SuccessFactors is not visited often I my day to day, not do we have much incentive to. It's hard to get people to go out of their way when we're so busy throughout the day.

Excellent product, Is easy to deploy and be the administration in the back end. has the feature to "be another user" to identify issues/problems.
Pros: Performance Management system is the best in the business. It is so easy to use and very customizable. Never had another review system as good as this one.
Cons: You have to purchase the suite and not able to have the standalone product. It limits the option to have this system.

Step w learning curve but once you understand things it’s ok
Pros: Integrated will into existing systems and process
Cons: Can be a bit difficult to set up initially
Sandy F. · Project engineer · Computer & Network Security · March 16, 2025
It is acceptable, among the better HR software.
Pros: Many features available in the software. There is a mobile app available.
Cons: The navigation is not easy to understand and difficult to find those features.

Love that everything is in one space and it is easy to navigate not only my team, but the entire organizational structure. I also like that it is integrated with Percipio, which we use for online learning.
Pros: As a Leader, it is very intuitive and easy to use. Everything is in one spot.
Cons: There are a few processes, such as payroll planning that take a bit of getting used to. This might be more about my company's processes than SAP
Karen L. · Director, BI · Financial Services · January 28, 2025
It's been a very welcomed interaction. I would have liked having this tool at my previous employers.
Pros: Intuitively simple. Comfortable design; not overwhelming. A central hub for other pertinent applications; one stop shop.
Cons: Nothing to convey here. The only issues I've had have been connectivity issues due to internal security protocols.

SAP SuccessFactors is very useful for viewing all documents related to payroll, view complete employee information such as manager details , work location ,team mates info and is also very useful for completing all e-learning assigned
Pros: SAP SuccessFactors is helpful for viewing all the details regarding salary compensation and to view and complete all the merit increase processes and statement's. All the documents related to salary can b easily downloaded, SuccessFactors sis also used for completing all e-Learning modules assigned by the manager
Cons: The overall responsiveness of the UI is a bit slow
Sneha K. · Program Manager · Oil & Energy · December 17, 2024
SAP Success Factor provide a huge boost for human resource dapartment activities.
Pros: The best feature is the native integration with other SAP tools that allow you to leverage the existing data stored in the company's central instance
Cons: Solutuon is not fully usable in all kind of devices. Often pages are not designed efficiently and the elements are not formatted properly to be used in a mobile devices.

Our overall experience was great with HXM Suite!
Pros: The software was great in helping us organize our data in one system.
Cons: A little confusing at first, but support was great!
Faith W. · Director of Human Resources · Automotive · November 8, 2024
utilizing SuccessFactors for applicant tracking, job, postings, goal-setting, and it’s training platform integration are good but the environment or GUI could use an overhaul
Pros: Suite is accessible on mobile platform increasing training adherence.
Cons: Platform is clunky and software environment is something out of the early 2000’s
Gabe A. · Operations Manager · Building Materials · October 17, 2024
I supported SuccessFactors at a previous employer where we used most available features that SF has to offer extensively. The application itself could do anything/everything we needed it to, but most configuration changes had to be worked through a third party (SAP partner), which was always frustrating.
Pros: SuccessFactors is extremely customizable, and it also has a ton of features (LMS, Employee management, Performance Reviews, Reporting/Analytics, etc.
Cons: Enabling new modules/features or customizing anything that requires provisioning access will require you to work through a third party. This can be inconvenient and very pricey.
Zach H. · Senior Systems Analyst · Information Technology and Services · October 15, 2024
My overall experience with SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite has been positive, particularly due to its comprehensive HR functionality and focus on employee experience.
Pros: What I like most about SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite is its focus on employee experience, comprehensive HR capabilities covering the entire employee lifecycle, and strong analytics.
Cons: What I like least about SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite is its complex setup and configuration process, which can be time-consuming.
Ashkan K. · Senior associate · Accounting · September 26, 2024
Pros: I liked it has many categories to choose and measure employees
Cons: There are other vendors that have more ease of use.
Anthony O. · Talent Acquisition Recruiter · Hospital & Health Care · May 10, 2024
Pros: Implementation, many features, for big teams.
Cons: It's complicated to use, not the best UI/UX.
Przemysław R. · Lead IT Administrator · Information Technology and Services · March 28, 2024
Poor for an ease of use and easy to find what i need to do. It has potential but is frustrating. The formatting of objectives look v different on screen as you enter them to what they look like once entered. Needs more structure. Plus output reports dont exist so we (as a dept) copy each individuals details or the year into a ppt slide for each individual at the end of the year. An excel or sharepoint workflow is cheaper and more effective from a users pov.
Pros: Its a positive move to have a system for performance management and objective setting available on yoir computer and mobile
Cons: Its complicated. Its not focused on users. Its not intuitive. The ways to access different elements of the system to change employee flags, see updates in the workflow and use the system are scattered around the page. Some on the top, some on the left, one half way down the page. I waste a lot of time trying to find what im needing to do. Really does need taking apart and reengingeering with easy or use for the user.
