Cons: What we do not really like is the technical support lines because rarely we can find someone fast in the line.

RoomMaster is the solid, reliable backbone of our hotel. It offers the depth of features you would expect from a much more expensive system like Opera but packages it in a way that is accessible for independent hoteliers. It is stable, cost effective, and backed by a support team that genuinely cares. For any property looking to maximize efficiency without overspending on technology, this is the smart choice.

Cons: The interface, while functional, can look a bit dated compared to some of the newer web native platforms. It has a very "Windows" feel that might not dazzle you visually, even if it works perfectly. Also, customizing some of the deeper financial reports can be a little rigid; you sometimes have to export to Excel to get the data exactly how you want it if the standard reports do not fit your specific need.

I have enjoyed my experience with Roommaster. I have been working with RoomMaster for a little more than 3 years and the system seems to be improving with each update. I really enjoy when they said emails about upcoming updates so Night Audit can properly plan their night shift.
Pros: I enjoy the ease of the check-in process; everything is straightforward and simple. Plus, making changes to reservations is very simple and not time consuming. I have not had an issue with security with this software either. I did have to speak with customer support once, over the phone, the instructions given were easy to follow along; my issue got resolved.
Cons: One aspect I do not enjoy about Roommaster is sometimes the payments do not communicate with our Payment Processing System. At times, there will be duplicate payments showing but Roommaster only collected the one payment. I also wish you could generate Electronic Processing Reports more than a week old.

This was only my first time as General Manager using Room Master; I needed a lot of help! The tech department was very helpful and patient with me!
Pros: How very nice and helpful everyone is! Alway respectful and patient! Thank you for all of your help for 2025!
Cons: Sometimes we would not get the best TECH support based on incomplete information. Such as; losing rate information, or a long journey to learn how to apply codes.

It is good with exception on issues on payment taking too long to be resolved. The system mis easy to navigate and almost self explanatory.
Pros: Easy to use it. The training hours are not as long as the other applications. Also, the reports are easy to navigate.
Cons: Sometimes when there is an issue on payment, it takes many days to get fixed. That slows down the batch system for our management company.

Room Master has its good and bad days. It will shut down on you sometimes. It will give you wrong information sometimes. It is a nice system but could use many improvements but also doesn't need much to improve! If you can work around the quirks, then it is a good system for you!
Pros: It is a good, organized system. I like that I can make rules to ensure we don't oversell the hotel! The specific reports are very nice!
Cons: Sometimes it doesn't tell you that you will be oversold until you okay the reservation. If the system is having difficulties, it will shut down often throughout the day.

As an IT manager for a hotel chain of six properties, I’ve worked with roomMaster for over five years. Day-to-day, the software has been dependable and has never caused us large-scale issues. Yesterday, I was able to call in for support while installing their software onto a new employee’s computer, and the process was smooth and professional—consistent with the support I’ve always experienced. The combination of strong customer support, useful features, and reliable performance makes it a good value overall.
Pros: roomMaster has been a solid property management system for our hotel chain for more than five years. It’s reliable, integrates well with our daily operations, and covers the key features we need across multiple properties. Customer support has always been responsive, and when issues do arise, they are typically quick to provide clear guidance or fixes. The system’s ability to manage reservations, reporting, and guest information saves us time and streamlines operations.
Cons: The monthly updates can sometimes introduce small bugs or glitches that affect day-to-day usage right after release. While these are usually addressed quickly with patches, it can cause minor interruptions. The interface, while functional, feels a bit dated compared to some newer systems.

Installations for Premier and then Cloud were wonky. Took some time to get it installed property, but overall product meets the need. Customer service is okay - most tickets answered quickly enough. We have been a RM customer for many years. We know what to expect.
Pros: Accessing from any device. RM Pay is excellent. Tenerum works well as well. Ability to flag bookings for future reference Group blocks feature is great for booking teams.
Cons: Would like the HELP feature to be a bit easier to navigate. Some times requires a bit of searching to find what you need specifically. The system logging you out of RM so quickly when you take a moment to do something about a reservation, thus locking the booking and having to go back in and unlock it. Would be better if the time was a bit longer before it locks out. Would be nice if when we open a spot in availability if any reservations are waitlisted, a popup could show letting us know, saving us time in checking if anyone is waitlisted for a date each time.

Solid, without much interruption. We have been with roommaster for 6+ years now with hardly any interruption.
Pros: Tech Support is top of the line. You get to speak with a representative, explain your issue and they will immediately tend to it. [sensitive content hidden] has been top notch - she is kind, courteous and explains applications.
Cons: Some of the windows open in very small format - wish they would be a little bit bigger. For example, if you enter rates, the pop-up windows are tiny.

My experience with RoomMaster has been good. The system helps keep things organized and the support team is responsive and helpful whenever issues come up! Good job!
Pros: RoomMaster has been a great help for our operations. The system is easy to use once you get the hang of it, and the support team is outstanding!! whenever I call, they answer right away and resolve issues quickly. The onboarding process was smooth, and the training resources made it easy to adapt.
Cons: The design feels a bit outdated and sometimes not very intuitive, which can slow things down a little. But overall, it still works fine and gets the job done.

Pros: RoomMaster has a very intuitive interface and is easy to learn. It has many features that make it easy to isolate availability by room type and date, and the Quick Room display makes it simple to see rooms available for Walk-In as well as rooms set to depart or arrive. The ability to customize confirmation and marketing letters with many different runtime variables has made our job at the front desk much easier when communicating policies and other information.
Cons: The cloud version has proven to be a bit buggier than the previous version, and we experience frequent episodes of "reconnecting" to the network which paralyzes the system - inconvenient when in the middle of making reservations. Our integration with Flexkeeping has improved tremendously since implementing it two years ago; however, sometimes our clean rooms are spontaneously marked dirty and we haven't been able to figure out what causes that.

Pros: There were no positives to this software- its archaic and has not been updated in 20 years
Cons: Unfortunately we were given misinformation and Innquest is refusing to accept responsibility. If you are a hotel this might be great for you (aside from their cloud product being archaic and extremely tedious). If you are a vacation rental please know that cleaning fees or add on packages will have to be charged in a separate manual payment and they will not let you know this when you are signing up for their product.

Pros: I like that is effortless. You can customize just about everything. We have all Maintenance,Housekeeping, Front Desk use roommaster. We have 240 rooms and make many changes to reports, the functionality of guest profiles and history is awesome! We love the fact we can train new hires in a day or two and they are ready to roll.
Cons: The only issue I have is with the group block functionality, we have use this software since 97 so we have always had this issue with multiple room types and or dates for groups, it can be a bit challenging as we pre book room numbers and actually block rooms, where other properties may not. It's just not as user friendly for us.

I definitely would recommend it to smaller size hotels, I am not sure how it would work on a property with in excess of 50 rooms.
Pros: It is very easy to use, having the ability to access from home without having to go through the VPN networks and having connection issues. Especially if the property is down!
Cons: I think the reporting should be more detailed. Coming from another larger branded hotel I was accustomed to customizing reports easily to get more pinpointed information.

Pros: Being able to administer it in any location. Room moves are simple (though be careful about the dates, as it is easy to accidentally move the booking to the side.) The 'Reports,' are great and very flexible, as is the 'End of Day Plus.' It's very easy to have an overall view of the bookings you have coming.
Cons: Many features that we hoped would have re-appeared from our original Welcome system are still not available on RoomMaster, such as being able to 'Move & Consolidate' billing items, so there is just one line of for example, Accommodation/Room Charges. One cannot easily move multiple charges from room to room or folio to folio without moving everything. It takes 5 clicks to print an invoice! Even when already in the invoice. The toolbar just pops out from the side when you least want it. If yoiu want to modify which Folio you need the charges to go to, yoiu have to go into the timeline and do it for every day, unless it is a group booking.

Until 2021 I had little to no complaints with anything. The technical support team was terrific. Responsive, available, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Non of these adjectives apply any more. Techs are not available by phone and it takes quite some time to receive a response. If an issue is not corrected or addressed on the first go around, follow up rarely happens with out having to email to see what's going on. Many tech's do not seem to understand the hotel business or standard revenue management.
Pros: The software is very user friendly and intuitive with the exception of the group functionality.
Cons: Group blocks need to be more flexible for reservations that do not correlate to the arrival and departure dates for the group. Also, the system does not allow to close for arrivals on any given day. No one seems to know what that means.

Before roomMaster, we did everything manually. The program keeps track of all the daily, monthly, and yearly receipts and counts of rooms and taxes etcetera.
Pros: The software is fairly easy to teach to new employees. Daily use is very easy. We love being able to keep track of all our reservations and in house guests.
Cons: The expense of all the add-ons. The software does not warn you when assigning a room of a different room type. When copying a reservation from a previous stay, the system keeps the previous room rates. It should bring up the rates of the new date of the reservation. We wish that we had a Calendar that wasn't an extra cost that would allow us to integrate our employee information.

For our every day reservations Room Master is an essential. We know there is so much more that this software is capable of doing. It is very comprehensive and an effective tool for our business.
Pros: I like the ease of use and even after 4 years, learning new features and ways to use the software.
Cons: Learning how the housekeeping function works has been difficult. We have still not mastered that part.

Pros: I fell in love with this software because of its ease of use and simple interface. The functions are very easy to use and understand. The integration of a restaurant module is very useful and simple. It handles bookings, restaurant sales and back office seamlessly.
Cons: It will be nice to have a survey function added to be sent to guests after departure.
