I love dealing with your tech support and their communication is amazing at helping those of us who are not great with computers understand.
Pros: Easy to use and even the updates have been seamless. When we add providers they are quick to get them synced so we have no delays in billing.
Cons: at this time nothing has been an issue that would keep me from using OptimisPT when I have an issue they are right there to help

Overall, I like Optimis. It is easy to use as a documentation tool and it is easy to look up patient info.
Pros: Lots of info is available on the opening page of each pt document which makes it easy to reference basic pt info as well as to follow timing of documents (progress notes, end-of-cert periods, for example). I also like that I can toggle from one note to another to locate info from previous notes.
Cons: There is poor organization of treatment techniques and not enough choices of measures for adult Neuro functional skills or those available are poorly worded. I find Optimis more useful for Ortho patients and not Neuro patients - and I treat more Neuro pts.

Ease of providing initial evaluations as everything is quick to access and the tabs feature for the component of each visit is well made as I do not need to scroll every now and then
Pros: Integration of HEP printouts onto the EMR system itself. I do not need to access medbridge or hep2go anymore.
Cons: Nothing. Everything is very easy to follow. Although if there is one, it would be the HEP portion; the system loads too long.

It's streamlined, making documentation much less dreadful. If there is anything that truly becomes I bother, I'll be sure to let you know.
Pros: It's convenient, easy to navigate and support is offered quickly when necessary. Support answers questions promptly, concisely and correctly the first time.
Cons: I appreciate and prefer this EMR over most others, as they are redundant and confusing at times. Not much to complain about.

My overall experience has been satisfactory.
Pros: I like receiving timely reminders via email.
Cons: I wish there was an easy way to customize.

Pros: It automatically adds modifiers GO and GP automatically for physical therapy facilities. As billers, we love this functionality.
Cons: I use a lot of 59 modifiers, and it would be nice to have Optimis give us the option to let us add our own modifiers automatically in each of our CPT codes. This option isn't available. I also do not like the fact that Optimis doesn't have an eligibility check built in.

I use it every day and am quite pleased with it generally.
Pros: Customer service is very responsive when I have a rare complication. They have always responded quickly and been able to fix whatever issue in a timely manner.
Cons: I'm not always able to search by phone number.

It is the best documentation system I have used since electronic documentation has been implemented. Thank you Optimis PT!!
Pros: Optimis PT is so very easy to use and has great flexibility to customize each note.
Cons: I would like to be able to make a reminder note on the patients time slot on the schedule, such as "prefers earlier appt.", "prefers a different day", "MD visit today" etc.
Sharon S. · Doctor of Physical Therapy · Hospital & Health Care · September 9, 2024
Overall I would rate this product highly. Compared to other EMR systems it caters to physical therapy well
Pros: The flow makes documentation easy and fluid. I like that I can make patterns and use dropdowns or favorite phrases to be more productive
Cons: Support is out in California and with the time change sometimes is not as timely as I would like. Also building patterns is a time consuming process

I have used it for years and it has met my needs better than anything else I have tried.
Pros: I like that I can do everything in one place. It works well for scheduling, appointment reminders, charting, home programs, invoicing and recording payments.
Cons: It still doesn't have a lot of the treatments that I use so I am building custom ones.
Mary B. · Physical Therapist Owner · Health, Wellness and Fitness · July 30, 2024

Gabriela p. · Occupational Therapist · Health, Wellness and Fitness · April 24, 2024
Pros: My favorite part of utilizing OptimisPT in our organization is the ease of use as it is specifically created for the PT industry.
Cons: My least favorite aspect of OptimisPT is the fact that payments cannot be applied to specific DOS and can only be applied chronologically, via the integration with Tebra.
Jenna M. · Associate Manager · Health, Wellness and Fitness · April 24, 2024
I think its quite easy to learn and nice to use.

Romeo B. · Administrative Assistant · Medical Practice · April 24, 2024
Pros: it is very user friendly when it come to scheduling, tracking appointments, and completing notes the day of

Lourdes G. · Administrative Assistant · Medical Practice · April 24, 2024
Good - they have implemented some of our suggestions and the support team gets back to us quickly.
Pros: It doesn't force me to click except a few minor exceptions. I can use the program to make custom templates or just type a soap note or use the auditing function to be sure I'm compliant. It gives lots of options once you learn how to work with it. It charges for usage. For a practice with a lot of part time therapists it is a much better price point than competitors.
Cons: It doesn't have automatic processes in place to cue and track authorizations. The wait list feature doesn't allow us to prioritize patients. The wait list feature doesn't autodial patients to fill holes from the schedule like other EMRs. It doesn't have AI built in yet to translate visit audio recording to fields in the EMR and an integration with one of the AI companies would be great. Also automating some of the billing side makes sense to add.
