Pros: Very intuitive UI – It’s easy to get productive quickly, even for admins who aren’t deep MDM specialists. Common tasks (enrollment, policy creation, app deployment) are straightforward. Strong multi-platform support – Managing iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and tvOS from one console feels consistent rather than fragmented. Flexible policy controls – Especially for kiosk/lockdown modes and compliance rules. You can be very granular without the setup becoming painful. Fast deployment & onboarding – Device enrollment (especially Apple ADE and Android Enterprise) is smooth and well-documented.
Cons: Reporting and analytics are basic – The built-in reports work, but they’re not very customizable or insightful compared to larger UEM platforms. UI inconsistencies at times – While generally clean, some deeper settings feel buried or behave slightly differently across platforms. Automation depth is limited – You can automate common workflows, but advanced, conditional automation (especially cross-platform) isn’t as strong as higher-end tools. macOS & Windows depth lags a bit – Mobile platforms are clearly the strongest; desktop OS management feels less mature in comparison. Change management / versioning – It’s easy to make policy changes, but harder to track who changed what and roll back cleanly.

Overall I think it's the best MDM for Windows devices out there, with all of the flaws taken in consideration
Pros: I love the way you can force execute drive encryption. We were looking for a system that is NOT Intune to control drive encryptions

Cons: The system can get very slow, especially when you look for report and the support is annoying sometimes.

Hexnode is great. They are a powerful MDM that makes deployment simple. Their policies are very customizable for any type of OS. This has allowed our team to maximize the potential of Hexnode.
Pros: Hexnode has the greatest support experience I have ever seen in a product. They are always responsive, and they will always help if I need any assistance for a project that requires the use of Hexnode. I have spent over 2 hours on a call with them before and not once did I sense any frustration from them. I used to reach out a lot to them when I was new, and they told me they were happy I kept using their support service. They always send detailed emails after a call for a recap, or next steps if a follow up is needed. Hexnode has done a fantastic job in building their support.
Cons: To be be honest, I cannot think of anything with Hexnode that upset me. The only issue I had was there was a period where my portal became very slow. I had to reach out to support and they would immediately refresh my account to get it started backup again. They would not leave until my slowness was resolved.

Overall, Hexnode has proven to be an invaluable tool for our organization, enabling efficient management of a large fleet of mobile devices. Its strong security features, combined with seamless integration with mobile endpoint protection, provide a reliable and comprehensive solution for our mobile device management needs.
Pros: The cross-platform support, unified management, and straightforward deployment make Hexnode highly efficient. Additionally, its intuitive interface, robust policy enforcement, and seamless app distribution further simplify mobile device management, allowing administrators to maintain security and compliance with minimal effort.
Cons: While Hexnode performs well in most areas, device unenrollment could be improved. Currently, the process can be cumbersome at times, and some devices may remain partially enrolled, which can complicate device lifecycle management and offboarding procedures. Enhancing this feature would further strengthen Hexnode’s overall usability and administrative efficiency.

Pros: Hexnode stood out after comparing it with several other UEM/MDM platforms. The interface is clean, intuitive, and highly customizable, which made the initial setup fast and straightforward. Device onboarding was smooth with no issues, and policies applied consistently from the start. Kiosk mode is one of Hexnode’s strongest features—creating and managing restrictions is simple, version control is clear and reliable, and updates can be rolled out confidently across different device groups. The platform offers a solid balance between flexibility and control, making it easy to support both straightforward and more complex deployment scenarios. Overall, Hexnode delivers a robust and scalable solution that has performed reliably in real-world use. It’s a strong choice for teams looking for a modern MDM platform with good usability and thoughtful features.
Cons: The interface is intuitive overall, but certain policy menus require several clicks to reach deeper settings. Small workflow optimizations would help speed up daily administration.

I found Hexnode UEM to be a complete and reliable solution — easy to use, intuitive, and backed by fast and efficient support that quickly resolves any issues.
Pros: Hexnode UEM: simplicity, efficiency, and security in one platform — a truly intuitive, powerful, and reliable solution that makes device management effortless and secure.
Cons: The platform works great overall, but the language support for Brazil could be improved. A fully localized Portuguese (Brazil) interface and documentation would make the experience much better.

We are slowing deploying to a fleet of 150+ devices. Process has been smooth. Able to work with multiple permission types or groups of devices.
Pros: Customer support is 10/10. Responsiveness is amazing. Best bang for your buck here to manage multiple devices and set any policy you want to manage the devices.
Cons: Little bit of a learning curve if you haven't done MDM before. There are some interesting steps you have to take, but once you figure that out... it's a breeze.

it's been really annoying not to have the features mentioned above. Some support works ok but there are some basic actions that don't come with your plan unless you have the very top tier plan.
Pros: easy to setup, add users, assign policies, and give basic configurations to the devices. Interface is very user friendly.
Cons: operation is really hard if you don't have the max plan, controlling devices is almost impossible. for all the other plans, only tracking is ok, but remote control is limited to impossible. I can't even apply security actions such as locking computers remotely, changing passwords, etc. The macOS configuration and control is really basic.

Once you have found your feet inside the platform, it makes sense and the support is quick to respond with any queries we have had.
Pros: This all-in-one platform handles iPhones, Android tablets, Windows laptops, and Apple TVs from a single dashboard, reducing headaches. The Kiosk Mode locks devices to a single purpose, ideal for retail and restaurants. Their quick and helpful customer support is the secret weapon.
Cons: The quality of their macOS deployments are good, but coming from JamF, it can be better. I would much rather have a single pane of glass for the entire org rather than multiple tools for multiple platforms.

Hexnode presents a cost-effective solution, offering ease of deployment and management. The product demonstrates comprehensive platform support, encompassing Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.
Pros: Hexnode offers a comprehensive device management solution tailored for both small-to-medium businesses and large enterprises. The platform provides granular policy management capabilities, enabling robust device control. Furthermore, deployment is streamlined across all device platforms.
Cons: We have observed that Hexnode customer support response times have increased, and the quality of support has occasionally been suboptimal.

It's a good software! I think the functionality is still better than the UX, but I'm hoping it will catch up.
Pros: It's been improving his UI lately, moved on from being extremely basic to having a bit more oomph. The searching and filtering of the devices is pretty accurate and I'd say the functionality overall is adequate. The customer service is also great! They follow up with an email once they have answered your question, and it has a ton of information there and references you might need. As for ease of use, everyone in the company is happy with just getting an email and setting Hexnode up, so that partof the UX is extremely easy.
Cons: On the admin side of things, it still feels like a very basic database. The onboarding experience might also be improved since it really doesn't explain much. Maybe videos instead of written instructions might work best with this specific type of software. The offboarding of a device is also something that's very vague to me. The fact that I can just click something to "Appear as un-enrolled" doesn't make me trust the un-enrollment process as much.

Our overall experience with Hexnode has been disappointing. While the platform offers a user-friendly interface and flexible policy configurations, these benefits were ultimately outweighed by serious technical limitations and poor support. The most critical issue was our inability to unenroll devices — even with help from Hexnode support, the problem remained unresolved. This left us with several devices permanently locked to the MDM, with no way to repurpose or wipe them clean. The lack of a reliable offboarding process has resulted in significant operational and financial setbacks. In hindsight, we would not have chosen Hexnode. We strongly recommend that anyone considering this solution carefully evaluate its limitations, especially around device unenrollment and long-term support.
Pros: exnode looked promising at the outset — the interface is clean, and setup was relatively quick. We also appreciated the flexibility in configuring device policies and the cross-platform support.
Cons: We chose Hexnode for mobile device management expecting a reliable and flexible solution — unfortunately, the experience has been quite the opposite. The biggest issue: we were unable to unenroll several devices, and even after escalating to their IT support, no one could provide a working solution. We're now left with devices that are permanently stuck with the MDM installed, with no way to remove it — even a factory reset didn't help in some cases. The support team was slow to respond and ultimately couldn't resolve the issue, leaving us with unusable hardware and no clear path forward. This has caused significant disruption and cost to our operations. If you're considering Hexnode, be extremely cautious — particularly if you ever plan to offboard devices or change MDM providers. Based on our experience, we would not recommend it.

My experience with Hexnode UEM is fantastic. Their latest update has been extremely beneficial with our connection issues previously experienced.
Pros: We now have no user approval need to access our equipment. It is almost immediate and we have full access without the users approval.
Cons: We previously had some connection problems , but with the latest update it is working great and we are not currently having any issues.

Disappointed. Device management is difficult. Hexnode should make it easier. But when I spend so much time trying to get it working right, or solving issues, it negates the positives.
Pros: The ability to remotely access and control remote devices. Very needed in the remote work era.
Cons: Difficult to use, many flaws. The worst is that searching for help comes with "nothing matched your terms" and I have then manually went thru and found the exact phrase I searched for in the help. Having many issues right now, can't use remote view. Getting help on it, but this is the main purpose and it is now broken.

Pros: It's an easy, set-it-and-forget-it software. Navigating the settings, etc, has been a breeze when setting up new devices.
Cons: The maps/geofence is not what it should be - we often get alerts that a device has left the geofence, when in fact it has not.
Stephanie S. · Network Administrator · Hospital & Health Care · May 2, 2025
Pros: The simplicity and how easy it is to setup. Our IT manager is able to login, setup, fix, everything remotely.
Cons: Instructions for management. We are having management changes and so finding the instructions when switching to new tablets to install hexnode is a bit difficult to follow.
Thomas S. · Administrator · Environmental Services · May 1, 2025
Higher productivity and the policies are excellent.
Pros: Very responsive to changes. They post much quicker than other MDMs
Cons: The live help is great but there should be more canned solutions etc.

Overall, Hexnode works extremely well in managing devices in the field. Our usage isn't typical. We're not managing devices deployed to employees, but rather are using it to control devices in Kiosk mode deployed to customer locations. Hexnode keeps our rules enforced so device usage is limited to the intended purpose.
Pros: The ability to manage our fleet of devices from a single place.
Cons: Organization is sometimes hard to understand for new staff or staff being assigned to admin without experience.
Aaron T. · Director of Technology Services · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · April 28, 2025
Overall I have used Hexnode to manage PC, Mac, iOS and Android - and its been amazing to be able to manage such a variety of systems in one console. The speed in which these policies are applied are amazing! Also its very easy to deploy initially from a user prospective with minimal interaction. Keep up the amazing work!
Pros: Hexnode allows us to manage a global team working on various Operating Systems. This provides us one central system to manage compliance and secure our company data. Their support is always prompt and provide solutions in a timely manner. hexnode is easy to integrate with any IDP and provides the most multi-OS management than any MDM I worked with in the past.
Cons: Documenation can sometimes be outdated with some of the frequent MAC updates. Additionally when a policy or action is pending and attempts to re-try there isnt a way to stop it.
Ahmed M. · IT · Information Technology and Services · April 28, 2025
My overall experience with the product itself to the rep, and support has been excellent. Dedicated staff really stands out.
Pros: The best part about Hexnode is how easy it is to navigate the portal to set things up. Unlike many other UEMs I have used, it is laid out very well.
Cons: A few features that I would like are behind tiered plans that, for our use case, don't make sense to move to just for those features.
Kerry K. · Unified Communications Engineer · Hospital & Health Care · April 28, 2025
I am very satisfied with this solution to manage our fleet of iOS and Mac OS devices and deploy apps on these devices.
Pros: Very powerful solution to manage iOS (iPhone / iPad) and Mac devices remotely.
Cons: No support to deploy iPad apps on Mac OS devices even if Apple allows that.
Patrick S. · Product manager · Information Technology and Services · April 28, 2025
Amazing experience, pay for the number of devices only without having to purchase packs. Mobile devices setup is amazing, and support is extremely professional.
Pros: It provides a very easy initial setup for new devices, we can even configure a device remotely! We can add licenses on demand one by one.
Cons: The admin console does not have the best experience, if you are managing too many apps in policies you might have some hard time. But it is a one time setup anyway.
Ayman A. · IT Infrastructure Manager · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · April 27, 2025
Pros: Customer support is great. Phone calls are answered quickly and the representatives are knowledgable about the product.
Cons: The software oftentimes feel hard to use, however customer support knows the product very well.
Samuel S. · CEO · Hospital & Health Care · April 25, 2025
Overally we were lacking an MDM for our Mac products. Hexnode is actually capable of doing pretty much all device types, but we're using it for Mac to comply with client InfoSec requirements. My only critique is the limited ability to control installable applications of users' devices.
Pros: Ease of installation per device. Our employees simply need to click a single link and the policy gets installed and runs.
Cons: Getting set up in the Apple Buiness manager as a prerequisite.
Justin C. · President · Computer Software · April 25, 2025
I value its prompt customer service, smooth integration capabilities, and user-friendly interface.
Pros: Simplified Enrollment Ease of use Kiosk Mode App Management Enterprise Integration
Cons: Multiple users on Android are not available via Knox enrollment. Ultra is a bit expensive. It might be non-responsive sometimes but they resolve it soon.
