Cons: Eclipse IDE can feel heavy and slow, especially when working on large projects. The user interface is somewhat outdated, and frequent plugin updates or compatibility issues can sometimes disrupt the development experience.

Pros: Eclipse remains a versatile environment, especially for Java projects or internal tools. I’ve appreciated the flexibility of plugins and the ability to customize the workspace depending on the task or prototype I was working on.

Cons: The interface can feel cluttered and a bit outdated compared to more modern IDEs. The initial learning curve also requires some patience.

Pros: Es un editor básico, cumple su función para tareas sencillas y es fácil adaptarse a el. Funciona muy bien para algunos lenguajes.

Cons: Para otros lenguajes como JavaScript siento que no está tan preparado como por ejemplo para Java. Así que eso hace que puedas decantarte por otras opciones

Pros: free version of the software available. allow to work with multiple languages. has been supported for many years, great community

Cons: The software is a bit resources hungry, we cannot run on older machine. Not all plugins exists for it.

Pros: For work, I have to develop and maintain a website written in PHP. The site has been developed over the years, so it includes both static and dynamic pages that retrieve data from a PostgreSQL database. As it has grown over time, it has become quite complex, and a basic text editor is sometimes insufficient. That's why I switched to Eclipse for PHP Developers. It's helpful that it offers code completion for functions and variables, and that it's possible to jump directly to the relevant function. With a basic editor, you'd have to scroll through the entire file. I also find the Compare feature very useful, as it allows you to compare the file you're editing with the current version on the server. It does have a few drawbacks, but considering it's free, I'd say it does its job quite well.

Cons: The only downsides I've found are its heavy resource usage (an editor like Notepad++ is much lighter) and a somewhat outdated user interface. Also, the sheer number of options can sometimes be overwhelming and may actually work against productivity.

Pros: Free and open source. Just about any language can have a development environment created for it.

Cons: Sometimes a bit slow due to the Java code-base.

Pros: There are a lot of ways to customize the layout of the IDE to suit your workflow and preferences.

Cons: It is very difficult to use. The icons are small and unintuitive. Overall the interface is confusing and it doesn't look sleek.

Pros: Does the job for Java development and you can't beat the price!

Cons: Did have performance issues as the project got larger. Has been largely superceded by IDEA/IntelliJ for Java development.

Cons: when you computer is not powerful enough you can expect some latency as eclipse is quite heavy impect on the system's ressources. Quite difficult for new commers as there are so much possibilities for configuration

Pros: A free all in one Java development IDE. Great effort went in to the development of the tool by eclipse community.

Cons: Stability of the tool. Crashed on me at very crucial times.

Pros: I have used eclipse IDE for programming of Java.It is relly very helpfull as it provides suggestions and shortcuts which reduces time complexity and also reduces chances of error.

Cons: Actually I like almost every aspect of it.

Pros: Ease of access. As a software QA I feel it provides open source integration development environment to the users. The ease of handling multiple workspaces with support for Android development too.

Cons: Sometimes sluggish and feels heavy weight in performance. Plugins need to be downloaded. Less or narrow suport for language and frameworks.

Pros: Eclipse is really good as it has integration with multiple build tools like maven, ant. Several debugging and run profiles can be created. Eclipse has constant new versions getting introduced and all are stable versions.

Pros: One of the things I liked about the Eclipse IDE is the features and functionality. One example is the JUnit testing and it was pretty straightforward and it saved me a couple times on my assignments. It's also pretty handy to use.

Cons: One of my main complaints about the Eclipse IDE is the interface look. I get that it was a good IDE to use back then, but it looks too "old". Like the buttons and clumped together and although it looks great, it doesn't look the best. I would prefer the look of other IDEs than Eclipse.

Pros: Una de las cosas que más me gusta de este editor es la posibilidad de incorporar multitud de plugins para adaptarlo a tus necesidades. Que sea gratuito y multiplataforma es algo bastante positivo, sumado a su facilidad de uso, lo hacen el editor perfecto para programar en java.

Cons: Algo que no me gusta demasiado es la cantidad de memoria que necesita cuando lo estás usando o depurando código. También destacar que para otros lenguajes de programación que no sean java, quizás otro tipo de editores sean más adecuados.

Pros: Was mir gefällt ist, das es das schon so lang gibt und ich damit auch ganz am Anfang sehr oft gearbeitet habe.

Cons: Man kann (soweit ich weiß) nicht sehr viel einstellen, was Aussehen angeht.
