I don't have anything to compare it to, so I would say overall, it is good. Up until now, I have not set the settings so that any new information is automatically being pushed to Raisers Edge. Once I do that for the next appeal, I may find the system is less clunky the way it interfaces with RE.
Pros: The responsiveness of the staff and my assigned customer service rep,[sensitive content hidden]. He is helpful and instructive. I have also had to use the chat to get help and those folks are responsive and check back in.
Cons: The final platform look doesn't allow me to create additional "info page" links for things like the individual challenges or incentives, so everything has to be on the main landing page. That makes it very long for mobile devices if I feel I really need to include everything.

Overall, Almabase has been a great asset to us. We are still learning, but the platforms that we have used, have been very intuitive and easy to use. When we are tripped up by something, chat support is always incredibly helpful. Our alumni have reported mostly good experiences when using the Events and Giving modules. We feel confident that any issues or feedback that we receive, will be welcomed by Almabase and either fixed or added to the list of potential new features down the road, to best suit our needs.
Pros: While we are still somewhat new to Almabase and haven't explored all of its features yet, I've enjoyed working with the Events module. It's very user-friendly and easy to navigate.
Cons: There are sometimes minor issues that require contacting chat support or our direct Almabase contact. Since they are minor in nature, they can be frustrating - spacing issues, picture sizing, etc.

Overall, I have been very pleased with Almabase. We have yet to fully utilize its capabilities, and I look forward to continuing to learn and expand our presence with our new and improved database. I have been very impressed with their staff and their database of helpful articles and instructions. Highly recommend.
Pros: Almabase is just what our alumni have been asking for in a database. It enables alumni to update their information, stay in touch with one another, and remain connected to the school. It functions very much like social media, which is what they asked for.
Cons: There is a learning curve and a time commitment on the front end to set everything up. However, they provided me with step-by-step instructions and were available every time I encountered a snag.

We really like Almabase. Working with their team is great and they are always quick to respond and help address any questions we have. As a small alumni office, having the Almabase support team helps us save time and we appreciate that they listen to our feedback.
Pros: We like that the Almabase platform is our website, directory, events platform, fundraising platform, and email service all in the same place. This make it very easy for us to track our alumni and their engagement. We really appreciate that alumni can go into their user profile and update their own information. Tracking emails and fundraising on the same platform helps as well. I do like how they are always looking to improve their platform and take our feedback seriously.
Cons: As with any platform there are things that can be improved. Right now you can track donations and emails receipts but it would be nice to have them eventually track who reads our posts and what pages they are interacting with. That would be a nice feature that would allow us to fully track users. It would also be nice if the platform supported ACH payments.

I cant complain. We have alot of big request often and Almabase does a wonderful job in giving us the tools or information we need
Pros: How much of an open line of communication there is. Almabase takes "criticism" extremely well. They use it to fuel their next big changes. Most companies would not actually take the time to research as often as Almabase does off their clients feedback.
Cons: Currently some of the giving aspects. Specifically split gift handling which limits how much we can currently utilize Almabase as we would want.

The overall experience with Almabase has been favorable. For the price point, it is a solid product that connect easily with Raisers Edge, eliminating the need for additional data entry.
Pros: If you have limited staff, Almabase can be a great option as an alumni engagement platform. It is relatively easy to navigate and connects seamlessly with Raisers Edge.
Cons: I was disappointed in the limited templates and that if you upgrade to the Word Press option, it only works on the main landing page and not the other pages.

Very positive! About [sensitive content hidden] (on the tech support side) have been so great to work with! The best supports I’ve ever received with a tech software.
Pros: I appreciate that Almabase has really thought about the whole user experience and has made it so customizable, too. And I’m really impressed with the support team.
Cons: Nothing that wasn’t improved with a little coaching from the very supportive team. When I started, I found the software to be pretty loaded and I felt lost—but the team at Almabase was ready to make sure I had all the information and coaching that I needed to feel confident.

My university is located in Texas. Almabase's trainers and support are based in India. Despite the distance, they have made us feel like one team. The step by step training (thank you, [sensitive content hidden] The support (too many to name), the overall experience has been great. We have beautiful giving pages and event registration pages that are capturing data beautifully.
Pros: We moved to Almabase on a recommendation (that their giving and event software is excellent at data capture and looks great), and while that has been true, the quality of the training and support has actually been what we love the most.
Cons: I have a small list of features I'd like to see, but honestly, even listing them would be a stretch. For everything we couldn't get there are five features that didn't exist, we mentioned, and then the team implemented them.

Overall, my experience with Almabase has been great. The overall flexibility of this platform allows us to meet the many giving and event needs of our university.
Pros: My favorite thing about Almabase is the support team - their willingness to help in such a quick manner is admirable. I also enjoy the teams willingness to continually make updates to the platform.
Cons: The thing I like least about Almabase is the limitations in the design flexibility for giving and event pages. Although there are many different options for both giving and events pages, the design is limited.

Pros: I like that it is easy to navigate and make changes. Almabase’s Giving Day tools are streamlined and visually engaging, helping boost participation and donations.
Cons: Some of the platform's templates and design options are too restrictive for branding or unique campaign needs.

Almabase is a well-designed product for any institution needing a solid data-driven website for their alumni base.
Pros: Almabase is a well-targeted alumni web product for both large and smaller institutions (like us). I find the staff eager to offer assistance, from migration, transitioning, to how best to use the platform, to inviting their users to suggest new features and improvements regularly.
Cons: Pricing. I wish that Almabase would consider doing scaled pricing for smaller organizations like ours.

We use Almabase mainly for alumni news and events. It's helpful, especially during our Homecoming when there are hundreds of people registering for multiple events and activities throughout Homecoming weekend
Pros: Event Management Database Management Directory It is a cost-effective tool for other alumni to check in and see how the school is doing.
Cons: Not that I can think of. We are really happy with the product and don't plan on moving away from it any time soon

Overall it is easy to work with Almabase. They are also open to suggestions and ideas to improve the product. They periodically check in with me to make sure I am doing well and getting out of the platform what I want. The platform looks very attractive and professional.
Pros: Almabase is easy to use once it is set up. The alumni directly is a useful feature. It is easy to update the profiles. Once the integration with Raiser's Edge is established and configured properly, it seamlessly updates data on the Raiser's Edge NXT profile.
Cons: Designing the website requires learning or having some comfort with the back-end of Wordpress, if you want a more custom appearance. I did not find this too difficult, but I did need some assistance from the almabase engineers for some aspects.

Overall, we've had a great experience with Almabase and look forward to continue growing our use of the product over time.
Pros: What I like most about Almabase is that the platform connects well with our main CRM software, Raiser's Edge, and also provides an easy frontward-facing user experience when registering for events. The personalized onboarding experience we had with our reps at Almabase was also immensely useful and we now have a very useful ongoing relationship with our rep who continues to be an active resource for us.
Cons: Onboarding and implementing any new software involves a learning curve and I would say there is a significant learning curve with this software. However, the onboarding process with Almabase made learning the software much easier than it would have been without personalized assistance and we've greatly appreciated this approach at the company. Once you learn how to fully use the software, it is an immensely helpful product to fully integrate into your operations.

Overall, this has met our needs regarding alumni connection and event management. We like the responsiveness of the customer support team, and the fact that they are constantly taking our recommendations and improving the platform. It's been a great platform for our alumni.
Pros: They offer a user-friendly interface (both externally and internally) combined with a lot of features. They are very responsive to our recommendations for improvement and when we need support.
Cons: The platform doesn't allow for as much flexibility as we'd like regarding class years - this is an issue for attendees and alumni with multiple degrees from Southern. And we do wish that the navigation was at the top of every single page. They are working to find ways to improve these areas.

Overall, we are very happy with Almabase and are finding it incredibly useful for our work. It has improved our efficiency and our alumni are overwhelmingly complimentary of the platform.
Pros: The integration with RENXT. This is saving us hours of manual staff time organizing and tracking event information. It is nearly seamless. The interface is clear and easy to use, and provides a nice amount of customization. Almabase's customer service team is fantastic - helpful, very responsive, and open to feedback requests. Since adopting the platform just a few months ago, we have already seen one of our main feature requests realized.
Cons: There are a few small things in the event design that are not aligned with the alumni relations work we do. For example, See Who's Coming lists should be able to be organized by class year. This is a major issue for our constituents.

Pros: The interactive and public-facing side is really good. Our constituents really engaged with the site and we exceeded our fundraising goal.
Cons: It took us much longer to get the installation up and running than expected.

Almabase has a 10/10 customer service team that guided us from A to Z in setting up our new alumni portal and continues to schedule follow-up meetings with us on a routine basis to assist in learning more capabilities and functionalities of Almabase to better meet our needs.
Pros: Almabase allowed our school to create an alumni portal to reconnect with our alumni which is allowing us to reconnect them with the school as mentors, donors, and more.
Cons: Small growing pains being a new organization, but Almabase is always diligent in assisting us with guidance, programming based on our needs, etc.

Almabase has been a great fit for our organization, and they have excellent customer service. From implementation, continuous improvements to the product, and resolving issues, they prove themselves to be a great and responsive technology partner. The culture of this company is evident with interactions between their leaders and the support and success managers we communicate with regularly.
Pros: The Data inbox is a powerful solution for alumni offices, designed to streamline data verification and ensure accurate, up-to-date information is consistently synchronized with your CRM. With the flexibility to either manually review updates or implement automated syncing, it supports a pathway to full automation as confidence in the workflows grow. The privacy considerations and ability to alumni to communicate with each other really makes this a useful tool. The events module provides a flexible and easy experience for our alumni and participants to register for small and large multi session events.
Cons: We utilize all the modules of Almabase, but the software could use some tighter integration and development across the platform between the modules. Sometimes this causes you to pause and rethink your processes to get things to work. That said, it is usually manageable.
