It has significantly helped with getting new members and simplifying the renewal process. There are certain monthly reports we need and generating those reports is very easy.
Pros: Helped us automate a mainly manual membership system, they provide customer great support. In the past all memberships renewed on Dec 31, which created a huge amount of work for an all-volunteer work force to get people to renew. Reporting is now much simpler as well.
Cons: Some features that I've requested have not yet been implemented. There is not much I don't like about Join It.

I introduced our organisation, how we operate and manage membership and our needs when meeting the sales person online. Apart from a few things that require upgrade, I was promised that the platform would be adapted to the majority of our needs and requirements. It was not. Making the payment by transfer was also a headache, which shouldn't be if they target non-profit which don't always have corporate credit cards to pay online. In addition, the person who did the onboarding call was unprepared, asking me what I wanted to learn or know, going through the platform in 5 minutes, instead of asking questions about our processes to clearly show me how to use the platform. The only thing that works properly is the client support: they are reactive and professional. Unfortunately, they come too late, after you have been sold a product which is not adapted to your needs even if you were promised that it would be.

Pros: There client support teams are reactive and answer quickly when contacted in the chat. Not much apart from this.
Cons: This platform presents itself as being specifically adapted to chambers of commerce, which it is not. It does not support organisation-based membership, it hardly support offline payment, it doesn't allow to modify company profiles in batches (it need to be done individually for every employee of the company), it doesn't prevent individuals to modify the membership type of their companies (which is a problem when you have membership types based on specific criteria), and their online directory doesn't allow to run searches by sectors or other custom fields (which makes it de facto useless). Yet, their sales team will promise you that their platform can do all that. Finally, their onboarding process is a joke, and it takes one month just for the platform to be operational once you have faced issues after issues.

Pros: I enjoy the interface of Joinit. It is fairly easy to add, delete, and check on members and their information. It helps that sending emails to members is fairly easy as well.
Cons: What I like the least is that emails to our members are very limited. It seems that the only two options are automated emails and quick/easy emails that have limited capabilities.

[sensitive content hidden], my two main contacts at Join It are the loveliest humans. We knew we were going to pick Join It from our first meeting with them. Every other CRM, Ticketing or Membership System I had a meeting with didn't listen to us and talked over us whilst aggressively chasing us for a sale. Join It stood out and didn't try to sell us on features we didn't need.
Pros: Join It is a really intuitive platform, super easy for our whole team to use, even those who don't regularly need to. For us, key features were the Eventbrite integration, it wasn't the right step for us to have all our ticketing on our own website, Eventbrite has features we love and don't want to get rid of. Then, the customer service, it's prompt, responsive and very accommodating. Our other favourite features are the reporting capabilities and formatting of the membership profiles and the sign up page.Join It is also constantly in development, they are actively always building and evolving the platform.
Cons: We've had a few ways in which we'd like to use the system not quite work out, however, that would be the same with any system that isn't a custom built system for your business. Through emailing Leah, we've always been able to find solutions.

Overall JoinIt has alleviated the very tedious tasks of managing a club of this size. We avoid mistakes, can track everything and our members can also self-serve with their information, payments, status etc. It is hard to express how easy member management has become for us since switching to JoinIT. And when we do have questions, the online technical support chat is second to none. They respond in a timely manner and they know their stuff and always polite and pleasant.
Pros: JoinIt is easy to setup, use and maintain. We have roughly 1500 members and the software has made our management so much easier than the manual way we were doing it before. The technical support with JoinIt is perfect. Not just good.
Cons: A few features we would like to see in the future and not yet implemented.

Amazing experience with customer support.

Cons: There is very little. The things that I would like to have seen was an ability to better manage the group accounts. Right now everything is at the row by row user level based on each record. It would be useful to be able to have the main membership viewer organize by membership owner so that each family unit was a line item rather than each person. It would be useful to have more batching operations at the family unit level. It would be useful to have an integrated survey functionality within the application as a part of the email templates. It would also be useful to be able to sell "day pass" memberships from the shopping cart, right now I have to setup Square separately to handle these transactions. All in all, I love your product

Pros: Integrations will other apps a small club needs such as Mailchimp, Eventbrite and Quickbooks.Once setup mostly works by itself to track membership payments and renewals
Cons: No API or access to backend in basic edition, there is webhooks in more expensive version.

Join It has been the thing that has brought out start-up non-profit success. It has helped us be professional and on-board new members efficiently. It has easy implementation and our branding was achieve was immediately.
Pros: This software is simple t& inexpensive!
Cons: It takes time to learn all the features.

Pros: We value our time and Join It provides us the ability to be efficient. Easy interface. The support team have excellent people that understand the situation and always provides pertinent advices!
Cons: The way information is presented is always a subjective matter, so even if I would say I would like the organization of the interface to be changed, it would maybe not be the preferred choice for everyone.

Fantastic and responsive service, very functional software. Highly recommend for small, growing orgs on budget.
Pros: The value is exceptional, in terms of features to price ratio, and the features are the right size for a small, growing association.
Cons: There are features that would be good to add, and having a bit more CMS-type of functionality would be a good addition, and could be tiered in pricing as add-ons.

really positive and lots of support when you need it
Pros: Very simple and quick to use. We can train our front of house personnel to use it with ease. As a tiny heritage garden charity we did a lot of research initially and the low set up price was really crucial. We were very nervous about signing up to a US based company- a big jeopardy for us . But they were really approachable and very efficient. It never felt ,like we were too small to count, there was a lot of patience that so many of us were volunteers. The dashboard is really easy to use and to navigate. lots of in depth info about each member easily accessible. And it loads quickly too ! It took a bit of work to understand the jargon to set it up - but tha was mainly because we'd never had another membershipo system before. Its logical and visually appealing to work with
Cons: A few irritations about joint memberships versus affiliated memberships and a bit more flexibility around length of membership etc would be good. For our size, needs and staff capacity I dont think there are many downsides

It's just excellent!
Pros: It is simply an excellent administrative assistant that contains all the necessary components to help keep an organization afloat.
Cons: We still do not have the certainty of knowing if the connection between this system and our bank account is effective and without having details. We have yet to see how effective this system is to manage the accounting of our activities and the memberships of our participants.

What is most outstanding about JoinIt is their customer support. I manage 100+ Software-as-a-Service installations in my professional life and have never experienced better customer support than what JoinIt provides. Almost instant responses to tickets by super-knowledgeable staff, problems resolved very quickly, whether they're issues I caused or perhaps the rare problem at their end. Kudos to JoinIt.
Pros: Easily handles our membership management needs with a minimum of fuss. Handles payments through Stripe transparently. Also handles off-line payments without much bother. Imports member lists through Excel and from MailChimp. Excellent value for the money. Tremendous customer support (can't say this enough!)
Cons: Wish we could more tightly integrate JoinIt forms into our WordPress site without tripling the cost of our subscription. Would like a few bulk update/delete options for our membership lists.

Join-it is a fantastic product with fantastic support. It is helping us grow in so many ways.
Pros: Join-It is easy and intuitive with so many features to help our non-profit thrive. It's very affordable, especially given the time that it saves me as a volunteer membership coordinator. It allows me to do more of the things I love with our organization instead of worrying about billing members! The Customer Service is always there to help me figure things out.
Cons: Every once in a while, I run across something I want to do but can't (like put images in e-mails). I suspect that this is because I haven't figured out how to do it yet (and customer service is AMAZING so they are always there to help.

So far its been great. The support team is fast and responsive and really attentive to all the issues I have brought up or speed bumps I have had, weather my own or on the system end.
Pros: The ease of managing members and its simple integration into multiple other applications makes a lot of the daily work easier. There was a slight worry to the learning curve for members but for the most part it has been ok during our rollout. Payment integration has been amazing. and integrations with MailChimp and slack have taken many steps out of the process for me.
Cons: I feel there are a few features that I would have liked to see a bit more intuitive or better integrated. I would like the ability to edit our membership page a bit more stylistically. The way membership renewals happens gets a bit confusing which has cause double memberships showing or a few manual adjustments to member levels. I feel if a membership is annual, then all the options should be available at once instead of having to do multiple clicks.

The key business problems we were trying to resolve in this organisation was to provide a better user experience for people becoming members of the organisation. We wanted a system that was easy to administer and easy for end-users. We also wanted end users to be in control of their own information. Finally, we wanted a system that integrated with other tools that we were using so that we could mix-and-match best-of-breed solutions together. JoinIT provides what we need. We actually implemented JoinIT based on the recommendation of another organisation and we are pleased we did. Implementation and migration were very simple and the people supporting JoinIT are very friendly and helpful.
Pros: Setting up membership types, the integrations with leading tools, and the ability to accept online processing payments via credit card were all big draws for this software. The software is also incredibly easy to use.
Cons: There are some Quality of Live improvements that could be made to the user experience such as the ability to get an invoice directly from an user's membership record (instead of clicking through to the payment processor's website), the ability to store a document in a membership record (some memberships can require verification of eligibility), and having more freedom/flexibility in payment processors (Stripe is okay, but some more competition is never a bad thing). But none of these are deal-breakers.

The plain-but-functional free version got us up and running pretty fast. I haven't had much experience yet with back-end management/monitoring of members, so I can't comment on workflows, but I expect them to be pretty good from what I can see.
Pros: The only actually free membership management software I found for tiny nonprofits (under 100 members). If we grew out of our tiny size, I would likely get a paid version of Join It. It was smart and generous of Join It to offer a truly free option. Sure you don't get all the fancy features, but even the stripped-down feature set is truly functional. It was pretty easy to get up and running and integrate the service with our (Wix) website.
Cons: There are a few tweaks that could be done to the back end to make it more intuitive where users go to access various settings and things. For instance, the membership type description is not shown on the summary of the membership type. One has to know to click EDIT DETAILS to make updates. There was no ability to include graphics with the membership types to spiff up a membership page on a website, though I think I have discovered a workaround by designing my own page and linking graphics/buttons to the URLs individual membership types (glad Join It includes those!).

The experience has been very good. Join IT has a very fast ramp-up at a reasonable price. There is no pressure, with can not be said about all app in the membership space. Some apps wanted $1,500.00 just to import your data. Join It is so easy you can do it yourself.
Pros: Join It is very simple to set up and use. Much is easier than other membership software I tested. We were in action in two days.
Cons: The membership categories are easy to use, but graphically they are quite different. More expensive membership apps can provide a single widget that allows new members to select different levels, price and billing options. Join IT provides a menu where you select the level you want, select and start entering the information. We have 22 different levels, the list gets long and would work better with a widget that offers all the options.

We have been very happy with the implementation of JoinIt. We look forward to further integrating it into streamlining the member experience and providing more cross functional tracking once our Club returns to more normal post-COVID activities.
Pros: We love the integration with Mailchimp and Eventbrite. But my favorite thing about JoinIt has been their amazing customer service. It made it so much easier to get set up and they are incredibly responsive. We're a very traditional non-profit that has been using manual processes for years. We were anticipating a much more difficult transition to the 21st century, but JoinIt made it surprisingly painless.
Cons: There is a lack of flexibility in some areas, ie configuration of the payment page for new members. Also, there is some limitation in capabilities of the communication tools. But given the price entry point, these are minor issues and can be worked around with other tools.

My overall experience with this software is very positive. I feel like when I have some task to accomplish, it takes me a reasonable amount of time. I don't think I've ever got completely stuck on a problem. And the support is high-quality.
Pros: Coming in with no knowledge of the software, I feel like I learned my way around very quickly. It seems to do everything my smallish organization needs it to do. The customer support is very friendly and fast.
Cons: Like any software, there are some labyrinthine paths to getting certain tasks done.

Very useful once you figure out its quirks.
Pros: Easy to use once you get the hang of it.
Cons: Sometimes it’s not very intuitive. Also, when searching the database you have to reset the parameters every time. Makes it very time consuming It’s not very adaptable. Users write in about desired updates and features but JoinIt takes a long time to implement them, if at all.
