My overall experience with Remote Desktop Manager has been very positive. It has significantly streamlined how I manage multiple remote connections, VPNs, and credentials by centralising everything into a single, organised console. The ability to securely store and share credentials with team members has improved both security and productivity. I appreciate the wide protocol support and integration options.
Pros: You can keep all your remote connections (RDP, SSH, VNC, etc.) in one place. Connections, VPN settings, credentials, and other settings can be organised through a console. This simplifies management.
Cons: It is slow when the software is first started or when working with large databases (many connection definitions, VPNs, credentials, etc.).

Daily life is way more simple thanks to Remote Desktop Manager. There are a lot of tools that can do the same for cheaper but this one has so much possibilities and is easy to use that the price for it is worth.
Pros: The ability to maintain a list of remote devices between multiple IT employees. Lots of customisation available. Save and run scripts.
Cons: So much customisation that you can get lost trying to find the one you are looking for.

Pros: Convenient Management Console: Users appreciate the ability to access different features from one place, making it easy to manage multiple remote connections. Strong Security: RDM provides robust security features, including secure storage of passwords and other sensitive information.
Cons: Some users feel that RDM lacks certain features that might be beneficial for smaller companies.

Wonderfull handy everyday use piece of software
Pros: It has an iniative interface, using Tabs to handle multiple connections. also the varaities of connection types, it covers wide range of connectors even team viewer is here. saving the credintials per connection, folder is wonderfull

Using it for more than a year as a free edition. Pushing it now to use in our company with additional team features and integrations with other products (like CyberArk Password Vault)
Pros: - Functionality - Rich set of settings - Internal password Vault with a flexible set of variables to password cross using - Many modules for different session creation
Cons: - Working speed - Not clear information about program settings and each setting particularly. Not in the program nor in the documentation sometimes. - Import / Export setting not supported via Devolutions Hub

No issues and very happy with how it performs.
Pros: A nice, intuitive GUI and rock solid for our needs. Regular updates with security and functionality updates.
Cons: A more intuitive method of going full screen for a specific session and back to the main window would be great.
Ciaran M. · IT Applications and ERP Manager · Oil & Energy · September 27, 2024
Very good to have the tool at hand if we don't bother the cost. It makes things more secure and the work more efficient.
Pros: Center data management + be able to authenticate to systems without knowing credentials
Cons: Software license cost is high, particularly paying per user

Out of all the remote tools that I have used in the past this is the best one I have used. I like the fact that you keep it updated not like the others I have used in the past. Thank you
Pros: If for some reason I need to move the Remote Desktop Manager window to another screen while I am remoted into a system, it doesn't start a count down like it is in the process of disconnecting like mRemoteNG did. I can move this without having to worry I will get disconnected from the system I am remoted into.
Cons: When I use Quick connect to remote into a system the only issue, I have is that when I delete something from the system and press the enter key on my keyboard it tries to open another system in my list or goes to another one that I already have open instead of deleting the item. I have to go back to that window and then click yes for it to finish deleting the item. I was able to do this in other remote tools I used. For all I know is that I am doing something wrong or there is a setting I need to enable. If there is a setting that needs to be enabled, please let me know.

Federico G. · System Engineer · Information Technology and Services · September 26, 2024

Pros: Central database most I like feature
Cons: I like everythings about it

Remote Desktop Manager and Devolutions seems like a "nerdy" company meaning that it feels like there is not a long way from the end user to the developers. If you run into an issue, you will get quick response from Devolutions. Suggest a new feature and you might see it show up not a long time later. And long release notes with lots of details. I not just love the product but I'm also a big fan of Devolutions themselves.
Pros: Very versatile, meaning that it can be configured for a wide range of situations. Can run on many different databases or in the cloud. For each connection you have many configuration options so most things can be configured for your exact needs.
Cons: Can be a little slow to start but once started it's fast. Timeout handling to the connected SQL server with the Remote Desktop Database (our configuration, might not be the same for other setups)

Great software I always recomend it to everyone, it's an important tool in my arsenal of software.
Pros: All network connections in one location. Also the ability to setup security on those connections.
