Software provides reports required for FASB 842 and ease in running journal entries that we currently manually import.
Pros: The product is intuitive. Easy to use. Like the ability for Ad Hoc reports. Functions provided are those required by FASB 842. Excellent customer service and support team. Also like the learning videos.
Cons: Finding some confusion on out of the box issues and do not like the manual. I find it confusing.

Cons: It has a different set of GL mapping- if we can make this inline with Hyperion on SAP this will be more easy and prevent mapping errors

This tool helps to have a better control and management of the leases
Pros: This tool is an option for the lease management
Cons: The customization and creation of the AP Feed
Cristina A. · Project Leader · Construction · April 4, 2022
Pros: The bulk upload feature is a real time saver, particularly when you have a lot of leases to include.
Cons: Perhaps it could have a better filtering functionality.

Trainings are wicked boring
Pros: easy to use with very good navigation within software
Cons: reporting and training is difficult; please get another speaker
Michael J. · Senior Accountant · Civil Engineering · March 15, 2022
Pros: Visual Lease helps my team keep track of all current leases and takes away the manual time and effort it takes to create ASC 842 lease accounting schedules. Additionally, it makes my life in the financial reporting capacity easier by pulling together my disclosures for me.
Cons: We are currently working through issues with connecting Visual Lease with our ERP.
Anonymous User · SEC Reporting Manager · Consumer Goods · March 14, 2022
Pros: Visual Lease was already in place when I joined the accounting team. Thus far, it has satisfied our lease accounting needs.
Cons: As a new user without any training, I found the reporting functionalities confusing and less than intuitive.
Ryan B. · Director · Consumer Goods · March 14, 2022
Excellent. My client isn't very organized in any other aspect except their leases - all thanks to Visual Lease!
Pros: Visual Lease is easy to use to review and confirm any information about a lease in one place - address, landlord, important dates, all the related documents, and even common names that my client uses to identify the lease internally.
Cons: I had a hard time (and still do) with the report feature. After a couple of years, I accidentally figured out what I needed. Before that, I had the administrator run reports.
Kimberly S. · Attorney · Law Practice · March 14, 2022
Pros: Reporting, accounting and compliance management features provided by Visual Leases are critical for my company's global lease management, compliance with GAAP & IFRS standards, financial statement and disclosure note preparation, and maintaining lease key dates.
Cons: The document management feature does not allow for all lease files to be uploaded and we have to post a file path to an offline location for those leases.
Anonymous User · Senior Finance Associate · Management Consulting · March 14, 2022
Pros: Reporting for accounting and AP feed for journal entries.
Cons: Difficult at first to learn. Had difficulties with contacts set up as payors and when the property sold there is a certain order to follow; otherwise, you are updating the new contact as the previous contact and losing the history.
Dede A. · Lease Administrator · Building Materials · March 14, 2022
Overall, A+ experience.
Pros: Visual Lease makes Lease and Asset Management simple and easy to Administer.
Cons: Visual Lease is pretty versatile and there wasn't much I can say to improve it.
Anonymous User · Sr. Program Manager · Real Estate · March 14, 2022
Pros: This product is user friendly, I have never experienced an outage to the site or slow performance as I have with other products.
Cons: My only wish is that we could customize more fields.
Jessica M. · Real Estate Analyst · Construction · March 14, 2022
Pros: The ease of use when adding leases to visual lease and downloading the amortization schedules and Journal Entries each month.
Cons: Using CAD leases mixed with USD leases on the reports doesn't always convert correctly.
Zach C. · Associate Accountant · Food Production · March 14, 2022
Pros: Easy to setup leases and users and also the management of both. Its very intuitive for the ones whos using lease management software for the first time.
Cons: I have yet to come across something which I don't like about.
Bhumin D. · Software Engineer · Hospital & Health Care · March 14, 2022
Pros: Ease of use for reporting purposes. Accuracy with several currencies. Easy to add people and manage the listing. Easy to add/modify leases
Cons: During the 10K reporting, there were issues which were reported to the customer support but we didnt get a timely response and issue made us wary of the deadlines.
Arun R. · Senior Accountant · Information Technology and Services · March 14, 2022
Pros: The interface is easy to follow and it's not a difficult program to learn/navigate.
Cons: The reporting is lacking in capability, ease of use, and reliability.
Anonymous User · Staff Accountant · Financial Services · March 14, 2022
Pros: I like how you can upload documents into Visual Lease and then the lease abstraction team can flag the important terms.
Cons: I am very happy with customer support, but I would have liked the system to do more explaining of the amounts that are calculated.
Anthony V. · Global Finance · Accounting · March 14, 2022
The reminder feature is great as it helps ensure our reported information is reviewed and updated timely. Existing reports contain information required by disclosures, which saves us time and simplifies reporting efforts
Pros: Very easy to use and the information and reports generated are able to be exported in a ready-to-use format without any need for changes
Cons: The product does not support lessor accounting
Victoria L. · Manager, SEC Compliance & External Reporting · Aviation & Aerospace · February 18, 2022
Pros: The social media-esque nature of the software is great because many participants can come in here and track what is going on globally in our office portfolio.
Cons: Everything was seamless -- especially for the capacity in which Visual Lease was designed for.
Justin C. · Real Estate Financial Analyst · Internet · February 15, 2022
Pros: Ease of use, organization of leases, automated monthly entries
Cons: Required updates for complex situations as they were not available in the out-of-box system --- that said, updates were released for all users of the platform

Anna V. · Sr.Accountant · Restaurants · October 22, 2021
Maybe next review will be more descriptive, I want to obtain the maximum from it
Pros: All the data that can be integrated in one system
Cons: Exactly my cons were in concern with the people in my company- integration is one most. We hope to have that with the new implementation
