The system works well and does what we need, just need the option to download reports to Excel (or .csv).
Pros: Works well and gets the job done. We only have 2 non-exempt employees for which timeoff is tracked, so only needed something basic.
Cons: Reports cannot be downloaded to .csv or .xlsx which is needed. If you add that, I'll give it 5 stars.

Great service, resources, and calls! You can set rules for different regions, define unique leave types, and ensure your team follows the right entitlements through automated accruals and adjustments.
Pros: flexibility! Custom PTO Policies: Create leave types (vacation, sick, jury duty) with accrual rules, fixed or hourly, and carry-over settings. Employee Self-Service App: Employees view their balance, submit requests and see statuses from mobile. Schedule & Timesheet Sync: Approved absences appear in your schedule and time-clock so you can see coverage and export accurate payroll data. Bulk Time-Off and Holiday Pay Handling: You can add holiday pay or time off in bulk for multiple employees, saving admin time.
Cons: learning process, but it comes with practice and awesome support! Customization depth may lag more specialized tools Some advanced features (bulk actions, policy setup) may require training

My overall experience with PurelyHR has been excellent. It has successfully moved our company away from messy spreadsheets and "lost" email requests into a centralized, transparent system. It strikes a perfect balance between being robust enough for HR administrators to set specific policies and being simple enough for employees to use with zero training. It’s a reliable, "set-it-and-forget-it" solution that has significantly improved our office's transparency and work-life balance.
Pros: The Time-Off module is straightforward and eliminates the headache of manual tracking. Before switching to PurelyHR, we always used a spreadsheet. What stands out most is the shared leave calendar, which gives the entire team instant visibility into who is away, making project planning much smoother. We don’t use the accruals because we apply a bucket at the beginning of the year, but the "Estimated Balance" tool makes it really easy to monitor all employee’s usage before the end of the year. The ability to approve requests directly from an email notification is a huge time-saver for busy managers.
Cons: While the system is powerful, the initial setup for complex, non-traditional shift schedules can take a bit of fine-tuning to get exactly right. Additionally, the mobile experience is limited compared to the desktop version. It would be great to see more of the advanced reporting features fully optimized for the mobile app interface.

Great experience overall with Purely HR, our company has been using this program for 15 years without issues!
Pros: It is very user friendly for both employees and administrators. Visually easy to work with from an app standpoint.
Cons: Some more options with regards to different pay types would be nice. By options I mean being able to add specific time off accrual amounts for certain time off types.

We've been using Purely HR for over 8 years now and have never needed support nor have we ever considered moving off of it.
Pros: PurelyHR is a very easy and cost effective way to manage our time off. My favourite part is being able to reliably track everyone's time off and the ability to calculate what is owing once an employee departs.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind. It's all very intuitive and easy for staff and managers to share and use. We love it.

Pros: I like it for the simplicity. I have found success with the support team. The applications have provided new opportunities to apply the product to help our company.
Cons: I do think there is room to build functionality independently for each company to enhance the use of the modules.

Overall, PurelyHR has been very helpful in meeting our needs, and getting back to us when we need help.
Pros: I like being able to see all the staff and who is in/out each day. I also like that it lets each coworker know where they stand in regards to PTO left.
Cons: I think the accruals and time off plans are a bit hard to set up at first. I wish it were easier, as we have many different 'levels' of time-off, and standard hours in a day.

Great. My team has no issues managing the tool or setting it up for new years. As I mentioned in the above comments, easy, simple, and useful tool.
Pros: Clean user interface. Simple to use & Simple to teach. No hassle with set up. No bug issues. The scheduled reports are good for keeping leaders up to date.
Cons: Need an option for hourly employees for accrual. Other than that, the tool works great. No other enhancements needed.

Good. However, employees find it hard to understand sometime. From an administrator's perspective, no issues.
Pros: Easy to use. The setup was fairly straightforward. We do not use all of the available tools in PurelyHr. However, we plan to look at more reporting options in 2026.
Cons: Some of the reporting. Would like more customizable options. We would like to be able to create more custom reports than the standard ones currently available.

It has been a good process for us to use for the last number of years with about 200 employees in the system.
Pros: Setting up new users is very simple. The pricing is reasonable. The application has run seamlessly for our company for many years now.
Cons: The HR side of things is still relatively simplistic and we don't use/find we would get a lor out of those features.

Overall Purely HR support has been quick to respond to all issues and easy to work with. The software is also reasonably priced.
Pros: Ease of use for Manager and employee to submit and approve time off via most computer systems. Easy to manage from the IT side of things.
Cons: Purely HR struggles with their performance review program as it doesn't allow different managers for reviews vs time off approvals

Our company uses PurelyHR to manage all our time off (Vacation, sick, appointments). Very straightforward and easy to use.
Pros: Very easy and straight forward to use. Easy to manage time off. And able to see when other team members are going to be out of the office.
Cons: I don't really have any cons that I can think of. Our company uses PurelyHR and it does everything it is supposed too.

Satisfied. The system does exactly what we need it to do. Autogenerated reports that we set up for managers and members of executive staff are very helpful and appreciated
Pros: The system is user friendly. I like the reports that are available as they offer a variety or ways to present information.
Cons: Correcting policies sometimes can be a bit confusing. I have noticed results in reports can be incorrect at times (ex. anniversaries). but that was on me - how I requested the data. Once I revised my search things appeared correct.

Really good. I wish we used it even more than we do and the toolset and options are there for us. Again, customer services has been excellent and responsive.
Pros: We're a small business and PurelyHR provides an affordable way to track key HR and Admin tasks without investing in more robust (and ungodly expensive) platforms. It's a tremendous value and we're considering adding additional components in the future. Customer service has also been very good. We've been a customer for years and at times they have implemented ideas we've suggested.
Cons: They have added a lot of flexibility for performance tracking offering over the years. But I think this is the one area that could use further functionality updates to be more intuitive (specifically for Admins, not managers or employees) and perform like modern web apps. It doesn't change the equation – the platform is still an incredible value and this does not leave us looking for new solutions.

As an MD thrust into the role of payroll I feel Purely has been great. At first I needed some help to get going. Now it is as ‘easy as pie’, as they say.
Pros: I am an MD who has taken over HR and payroll. Purely HR was very easy to learn and it works great for me. I’m glad we don’t have the old punch cards and time clock anymore
Cons: Not much. When I’ve had issues the support has been great and accurate. So far no major glitches for us.

I really like the time off requests and approval process and the timesheets. Staff find the system easy to navigate online.
Pros: Time Saving, keeps track of vacation, sick time remaining. I like that its easy to see what employees have remining.
Cons: Need an app easier to sign in for employees and to see modules easier Would like to see ability to produce our own reports

It is a good program and reasonably priced. It does the simple task of keeping track of all our employees in a simple manner.
Pros: It allows us to track vacation/ time off in a quick and easy way. I like that you customize who approves the time off and that the information resets every year.
Cons: It does not have a time clock function. It would’ve nice to have a clock in and clock out function that was GPSed to our location.

Pros: PurelyHR has simplified our time-off requests. With a simple to use, easy to learn platform, requests have been super simple to make, as well as reviewing them and logging them.
Cons: The design feels a little dates and the navigation is not as intuitive but once you learn it it's quite simple to use.

We've been using PurelyHR for a number of years. We find it a great online took to track vacation and other leaves.
Pros: PurelyHR is a great online platform to track leave days and great quick customer support. Reasonable cost.
Cons: There isn't a lot that I don't like about PurelyHR. The only thing I would comment on is that it's hard to navigate, particularly tasks I don't do regularly.

My overall experience using PurelyHR has been a good thing. It has simplified my work as the Executive Assistant and my work doing timecards and keeping track of banked time etc.
Pros: I like PurelyHR because everyone can see who is off and when, it's an easy way to keep track of banked time accumulated and taken and it helps me do up my timecards.
Cons: There are things that we need to be able to do that we can't do yet in PurelyHR such as putting a cap on lieu time as our staff can only accumulate a certain amount of hours.

Completely improved the way we manage employees PTO. What a time saver and paper saver! Probably reduced our time spent managing PTO by 90percent.
Pros: The ease and convenience for both administration and staff. The record keeping aspect without a paper trail is probably one of my favorite features.
Cons: Can't say that I have one currently. If there was one thing, and it might be operator error on my part, but I would adjust the choice to limit the number of employee request on a given day to specific categories such as 4 employees requesting a personal day without restricting a sick day request if it's over the limit for requests.

Moderate. We have not been happy with the fact that Purely can not accrue sick and vacation time accurately.
Pros: Easy access for the staff to put in time off requests. This process is simple and easy for the staff.
Cons: Isn't sophisticated enough to accrue our staff vacation time. Time off policies do not apply correctly to our different shifts.

Overall, my experience is great. The Time-Off module is easy to use and covers our time-off tracking needs.
Pros: PurelyHR has excellent technical support, which is responsive and can always follow through the issues.
Cons: Not in general, but there is one case that requested vacation days were not deducted from the balance, it ended up with manual adjustment
