For our organization's needs, Crowdin offers a relatively simple translation management software. As the manager The automation between Github ensures new source (in our case, English) text flows into Crowdin. I like being able to view Activity as a manager of the content team, and also to keep an eye on our external translators. The translation memory saves us a lot of time (and sometimes money). It's getting better and better, but I feel it needs some UI love
Pros: Great value for money. I like that there are lots of integrations. Fast customer service in terms of requesting help - support team are quick and provide articles and step by steps in rea time.
Cons: I don't find the user interface very intuitive. I often have to read an article or google something to find it. Lacking an overall visibility of activity (for example, new strings added) at a high level without going into each individual project. Loading time in larger project is very slow, particularly when viewing more than one language at a time. I find it disappointing that I cannot add a style guideline without increasing to the Enterprise account. I consider that this should be available on any plan, particularly when we are now using so many AI assisted translations,

It's safe to say Crowdin still is my favorite CAT platform. It is straightforward, OS and device agnostic, and super reliable.
Pros: Crowdin is a platform that has matured a lot over the last few years. Fast, reliable, and user-friendly, not to mention the fact that workflow and its interface are consistent regardless of what platform you are on (PC, Mac, or portable Android and Apple devices). Taking care of urgent requests on your mobile device while you are away from the office is just magic, and Crowdin is at the top of the game in this area.

Cons: The way to add or edit term base entries has become slower and more complicated than before. It used to be faster and more streamlined.

I'm a translator for Lichess and I'm using Crowdin since almost ten years or so. While I like to help to contribute to an open source chess site, all the other systems and functions of Crowdin like Tasks, TM,MT, Glossaries are a waste of time.
Pros: I like the most the automatic mail notifications when new translations are available. This way I never miss any new translations.
Cons: All the eco-system around the core product, like AI translations (that never work), Context pages, all unnecessary at least for my use case.

Crowdin is Overall very good. It is easy to understand and covers all translation aspects. It helped me a lot in translation memory.
Pros: User Interface:- It has very good User Interface. Very good working and easy understanding. It gives memory translation.
Cons: Learning Curve: I have not seen relearning curve in the system which has not available for future needs.
Manisha A. · Freelance Translation · Individual & Family Services · March 20, 2026
Good community driven system to translate a service/software. You can pick desired languages and let volunteers from community to fill in missing translations.
Pros: Good user interface inside dictionary editor. You can also document each translation term with description and even image, so any translator that then do or review the translation have a good context.
Cons: If you want instant translation of you app - you can order it (even from different providers). The price of paid translations from professionals is quite steep.

Very good. I even had the opportunity to speak to the support team sometimes, and they were very friendly and easy to talk to.
Pros: $8a
Cons: There are two specific things I dislike about Crowdin: 1. The overall restyling of the platform that was implemented some years ago. Icons and text borders started to become roundish; things were de-centred for no apparent reason... just, why? You could have kept it perfect! 2. The removal of national flags. To me as a translator and proofreader, this change has made the experience of finding a language incredibly painful. Now imagine how it looks for new contributors who see the project page for the first time and see a bunch of grey flags with random letters all over them... this really discourages people who may have otherwise stayed, having clicked on their own country's flag to take a peek...

Overall, I’ve had a good experience with Crowdin. It’s a solid tool with useful features, especially around AI translations and translation memory. It’s not perfect, but it works well for what we need.
Pros: I like that Crowdin lets you use different AI translation providers like DeepL and Google. Different tools work better for different languages, so having that flexibility is really helpful. It makes it easier to get strong first drafts. The translation memory is also a big plus. It saves time and keeps wording consistent across the product, especially for repeated terms.
Cons: The UI is okay, but it can feel a bit convoluted at times. It’s not always obvious where things sit or which setting you need. From what I’ve heard from developers, adding and managing keys can also feel quite clunky. It’s a bit frustrating that keys have to be merged into master before they’re available, instead of being live straight away. That can slow things down.

Overall, a smooth platform for localization. Clean dashboard. I'd recommend others to use this tool.
Pros: Crowdin is an easy-to-use localization platform with a simple interface and a gentle learning curve. It’s easy to move between segments. I used it for a South Asian language localization, and the suggested translations during the process were fairly accurate and helpful.
Cons: The platform has limits when handling Bengali punctuation. It does not recognize that the Bengali full stop (।) is different from the English period (.). Also, placing HTML tags within Bengali sentences is difficult because Bengali sentence structure is different from English.

I like Crowdin and I used it in the past to manage a multilanguage crowdsourcing projects, and also with some agencies, with good results.
Pros: I like the fact that you can easily manage multiple people translating, and export bilinguals files.
Cons: One thing I do not like very much is the fact that there aren't very advanced filters to keep track of bigger projects.

My overall experience has been highly productive. Crowdin effectively bridges the gap between developers and translators, transforming localization from a manual bottleneck into a streamlined, continuous process. It is a robust, scalable platform that saves time and improves translation quality.
Pros: Crowdin provides excellent collaboration tools and an intuitive interface for translation teams. The seamless integration with version control systems, such as GitHub and GitLab, significantly automates the localization workflow. Additionally, the Translation Memory and centralized glossary features are highly reliable and ensure consistency across large-scale projects.
Cons: Configuring complex workflows and mastering the more advanced automation features can present a steep learning curve for new administrators. Navigating very large project structures can also feel slightly cluttered at times.
Sami K. · Nerd · Information Technology and Services · February 26, 2026
Pros: The simplicity of massive translation.Crowdin provides an editor where translators can see the actual UI of the app or website as they work.
Cons: It takes time to find the location of the translations in the side menus, especially in the different languages. Sometimes switching between projects and files makes it difficult for the user, and even I, as an experienced user, sometimes get confused until I find what I'm looking for. I would be happy if there was an option for automatic translation and its approval by the user.
Ahiel G. · BE engineer · Financial Services · February 19, 2026
Overall, my experience with Crowdin has been very positive. It’s a powerful and reliable platform for localization projects, especially for teams working on multilingual products. Once you get used to the workflow, it significantly improves productivity and collaboration between translators, developers, and project managers.
Pros: Crowdin makes localization and translation management very efficient. I really like the intuitive interface, real-time collaboration features, and how easy it is to manage multiple languages in one place. Integrations with other tools and version control systems are also very helpful and save a lot of time.
Cons: Some advanced features take time to fully understand, especially for new users. The pricing can also feel a bit high for small teams or individual users, and the interface may feel slightly overwhelming at first due to the number of options available.

I really appreciate work of developers and designers for creating such platform that helps us with translation
Pros: It's a very comfortable platform with all necessary tools for translation and work for any professionals
Cons: Everything was nice, I didn't see any disadvantages, it was really comfortable, easy to log in, good system

Crowdin is a strong choice for organizations looking for a modern, scalable localization solution and a company that values long-term collaboration.
Pros: At Paligo, we work with Crowdin as a trusted partner, and our collaboration has been consistently positive. Crowdin offers a robust, user-friendly localization platform that makes managing multilingual content much easier for teams working across regions. Their focus on integration, automation, and developer-friendly tools aligns well with how we approach structured content and translation workflows at Paligo. The team at Crowdin is responsive, professional, and forward-thinking, and their platform is well-regarded by our shared customers for its scalability and ease of use.
Cons: Nothing significant to point out—our partnership experience has been very smooth. We appreciate working with the team at Crowdin.
Andrea C. · Global Account Director · Computer Software · October 27, 2025
Overall, my experience with Crowdin has been excellent. The platform balances functionality and accessibility very well: the learning curve is short, the user interface is clean and responsive, and the file management system makes collaboration seamless. Although I have noticed occasional performance issues with larger projects, they don’t affect the overall reliability of the tool. Crowdin has improved both the quality and efficiency of my translation workflow.
Pros: What I liked most about Crowdin is how smooth the learning curve was. Even as a new user, I quickly understood how to manage projects thanks to the intuitive user interface. The text and file management tools are very efficient, making it easy to handle large translation projects, and I also appreciate the collaborative features that help maintain consistency across the team.
Cons: What I liked least is that sometimes, when dealing with very large projects, the platform experiences minor bugs and issues, such as slower loading times. In addition, while the setup for certain integrations is powerful, it can feel a bit complex for first-time users

Mobile interaction aside, Crowdin is a great package for keep software projects with large user bases organized.
Pros: Crowdin is great for organizing contributing users for big projects, like app translations. You can easily change a user’s role quickly. The notifications and user interface also allow for quick review and response to user questions.
Cons: However, there is no mobile app nor is the website designed for mobile. I most often use Crowdin on my mobile phone. So, at times, I have to zoom in and out, which detracts from Crowdin’s ease of use.
LeAnn G. · Consultant · Management Consulting · October 6, 2025
My experience is really good, there are many useful tools for help with translations and it is great to see that your work helps to the developers.
Pros: Crowdin is a perfect service, offering developers cooperate with volunteers, that means developers can more focus on the development.
Cons: It takes much time to complete a translation of the whole app/website so the translation process can be sometimes delayed.

I worked with crowdin for couple of years and I recommended for team ane indiviaul projects at office or online
Pros: The AI integration because you work with a tool that is always updating in the world of translation and others areas.
Cons: Its interfaces that are intuitively to work and the add-ons for working with others translation tools.

I'm reviewing Crowdin's website, on Chrome, both on the PC and on mobile, since I never used the app. Crowdin is a very useful tool for software localization and team projects. I've started using it in 2020 and it has been a really great experience. The platform offers many options for volunteer translation and localization, which can be an interesting way to get into this market and acquire the know-how. Also, in the project I've been helping the most, I've found a very specialized team of translators that have helped me by teaching the nuances of Game Localization, an opportunity, I believe, very few people have. Overall, Crowdin's features make crowdsourcing feel rewarding. As such, I believe it is one of the best platforms for Game Localization
Pros: $8b
Cons: There's very little stuff I dislike about Crowdin. The lack of a more accessible log of translations makes it hard to trace translations that have been deleted or lost for some reason. The current log also doesn't allow you to use words to search for translations. From what I've used, the in-build private messaging system is a bit buggy and laggy, and I prefer using other messenger softwares. It could be certainly improved. There could be features for avoiding flooding in the editor. Sometimes, (unexperienced) users will flood strings with very poor translations that visually pollute the editor, or send a series of useless comments as problems to be solved, and then the proofreaders will have to repeatedly solve the problems and delete the suggestions, or just have to ignore them.
Victor C. · Volunteer Translator · Computer Games · September 30, 2025
I've been using Crowdin since 2020 to translate projects and I've never had any issues at all. It supports 2FA to make my account secure and the notifications work well to know when there are new strings to translate.
Pros: Its interface is user-friendly and easy to use, it offers several features to offer the best experience. It allows you to separate strings in different subprojects (folders).
Cons: Sometimes the automated suggestions from Crowdin or Google are not accurate enough and users still use those suggestions.
Anonymous User · Owner of ELEKTRO CODX · Computer Software · September 30, 2025
I use crowdin mainly for translation or translation assistance for various applications, mainly for Android and iOS devices. Crowdin offers simple and user-friendly UI and UX that everyone can quickly master. Translations are easy, you can vote for and against existing ones, add different languages, translation variants and many other features that I haven't used yet.
Pros: Very useful tool for everyone who likes to translate strings within apps or any other tools that uses crowdin.
Cons: Actually there is nothing I don't like about crowdin, because for my usage I have everything I need. Maybe other translator tools may be missing, but that's nothing major.
Jakub K. · Application specialist · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · September 30, 2025
I have been working in Crowdin for 5 years, and I believe the tool changed a lot during that time. The work in Crowdin on shorter strings is quite pleasant, but I don't like to work in it on longer strings.
Pros: I like Crowdin's simplicity, as it is perfect for shorter strings of text (I will mention this in the next section too). I haven't encountered too many bugs and issues, and I really like the TM searches.
Cons: What I don't like about Crowdin is that for the longer strings, it's really difficult to work on them, especially when the string takes more than 3 sentences. I would love to have an option to make smaller segments out of a big chunk of text, as sometimes the text is so long, that I cannot see my translation (not mentioning the TM match) if I don't scroll the whole screen, which is really annoying. Moreover, I would love to have crowdin show the TM matches for the terms appearing in the text on the right of the screen, like the competitors' software does (it's really helpful, especially for the terms etc). Sometimes I also encounter a bug where the cursor doesn't show the real editing point, but recently this is quite rare. I am not sure if it's a bug or a process problem: sometimes the screenshots in Preview menu doesn't show.
Dawid K. · Owner · Translation and Localization · September 30, 2025
Really interesting and useful and well-structured project, in my opinion many more developers should use it.
Pros: Simple, intuitive and well structured interface. The chat function is very useful to request clarifications from the administrators of the application to be translated. Also interesting is the addition of Google Translate for faster translations.
Cons: Every now and then emails arrive with strings to translate but then these are not there and therefore it wastes time.
Martin R. · Translator · Computer Software · September 30, 2025
the overall experience with Crowdin is highly positive for organizations that prioritize automation, integration with a development pipeline, and sophisticated translation tools...
Pros: the strong combination of automation via integrations, powerful contextual translation tools (In-Context Editor, screenshots), and increasingly sophisticated AI capabilities...
Cons: the most common areas of dissatisfaction vary around the complexity of the user interface (especially for non-technical users), and the occasional glitchiness or unexpected behavior in the import/export or synchronization processes.
Anonymous User · Translator · Translation and Localization · September 30, 2025
Quite good experience with Crowdin, it was easy to pick up, easy to use and very easy to switch equipment and location where you can use it.
Pros: Easy to use and very intuitive. Crowdin is an online resource that allows you to work from anywhere not making you dependent on a specific location or machine.
Cons: There is still, as far as I know, no good spellchecking option for European Portuguese included, the addition of this feature would increase it's value, specifically for the Portuguese market.
