It's a decent and modern platform, but our experience is that they are short-term in their customer focus. They have great features, but it is an expensive platform in general (and can be very expensive if you don't downgrade in time).
Pros: It's a decent platform for your app localization needs. It is simple to start working with the platform and automate processes as your needs expands.
Cons: Beware of the unstandardised notice period, unlike other SaaS companies, they apply a strict 90 days notice period. Their sales team will directly connect you with their lawyers if you have any related feedback.

Easy to use platform with great capabilities to translate large amounts of contents fast and efficient.
Pros: The Lokalise platform is an easy to use platform, with a fast and easy to use web portal with extensive functionalities. Functionalities like, providing automatically translation suggestions and QA suggestion, speed up the work process and make it a breeze to quickly add a new 'key' to your translations. The extensive CLI tooling als makes it easy to implement the localisation process into your development pipeline.
Cons: Lokalise is a bit on the pricy side when you want to have integrations with Figma or have the automatic translation service. You then quickly end up in the more pricier tiers.

Pros: Single source of truth as far as the copy is concerned, single point of access for all people dealing with the text (designers, translators, developers).
Cons: Perhaps too much focus on artificial intelligence and integration with figma still somewhat precarious
Andrea D. · UX Writer · Financial Services · January 10, 2025
Pros: It's intuitive and easy to use which makes onboarding our external translators and internal team members super efficient. Several integrations and automations are available. LokaliseAI is easy to implement and integrate into our workflows. Customer Support is fast, reliable and knowledgeable.
Cons: Some of the integrations have limitations preventing us from fully taking advantage of them. Using the APIs to integrate tools should be made easier. I wish Lokalise had a robust localization workflow portal (i.e. ticketing system) which allowed teams to submit translation requests and track them in a single place, for all projects.
Silvia M. · Principal Localization Manager · Consumer Electronics · December 27, 2024
Pros: My team and I appreciate the flexibilty available in Lokalise's platform. The ability to use a unified glossary and style guide amongst our projects, paired with Lokalise AI for translation, has been a powerful combination for us. We save time and have constantly updated translations. We found Lokalise very easy to implement, using the out-of-the-box Zendesk integration. It's ideal to have our content constantly synced from Zendesk to Lokalise, so it's ready to be translated with daily updates.
Cons: I've had issues with filter logic not working well in my instance. It's a bug that I'm hoping will be resolved, as otherwise the functionality is there!
Mary H. · Self Service · Computer Software · December 18, 2024
Pros: I like the simplicity of use and the different CLI/integrations that make the tool usable not only in the web app but also in CI/CD environments
Cons: Android/iOS integration is not so perfect, especially iOS ones with strings catalog
Emanuele P. · Android Engineer · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · December 18, 2024
Pros: It's a very easy to learn/use tool. We currently implemented a Figma-to-Lokalise kind of workflow and once we set up the process right (this took a little bit of time haha), now things are running smoothly.
Cons: The Figma plugin feels like it's in a very early stages of development. It works great in best case scenarios but there are a lot of unhappy paths that are not considered yet. We'd love to provide a few feature requests to make our life easier :)
Riccardo G. · Design System Manager · Banking · December 18, 2024
It's great, and is able to make the localisation process quite simple for everyone involved.
Pros: The core product works quite well, screenshots are helpful for record keeping, for engineers to easily understand where to apply keys.
Cons: Sometimes the shortcuts are counter intuitive. The AI beta could be massively improved. Text recognition could be added to extract text from screenshots.
Eduardo E. · PM · Financial Services · July 8, 2023
Very satisfying experience overall.
Pros: Ease of use. You can learn how to use Lokalise really fast. A super tool when having an app/ website in different languages. Tool to filter by tag, last update, "untranslated" is super useful.
Cons: Some option (non breaking space) could be easier than entering a specific code.
adrian s. · UX researcher · Financial Services · November 29, 2022
Pros: I really like lokalise because it allows translators to have a real scenario and context, and the same for our proofreaders.
Cons: Its price. We found it really expensive.
Anonymous User · Technical writer · Computer Software · November 13, 2022
Pros: Lokalise is really easy to work with and it's easy for new people to understand the software pretty fast. Its interface is good, simple and allows for deep customization.
Cons: Lokalise does crash from time to time. Bulk actions are still not as customizable as one would like. There should be more revert buttons as it's easy to mess a whole project with one misclick.
Pedro P. · Production Manager · Financial Services · January 11, 2022
Pros: Easy to use & More accurate translation compared to other applications & professional interface
Cons: it can be a bit slow sometimes But it is not a big problem
khalid E. · engineer · Retail · August 4, 2021
Easy to navigate, the functions are great. It helps me to complete my works faster.
Pros: The software suggests the translation from the history, google translation and some other places to me. I can just choose one of the right translation or choose one and correct it quickly.
Cons: Unfortunately, it is web-based software. I need to connect to the interest to work on it. And my internet connection is ADSL. Therefore, I am preferred offline software.
Kultida S. · Freelancer · Translation and Localization · April 8, 2021
Pros: What I like most about this software are the video tutorials that guide you through each part of the website. The customer service is excellent because they even provide you the opportunity to have a call with them in which they will guide you on how to use the software. I also enjoy the fact that I can work with my colleagues from other states in my country. The nonprofit I work has two locations in two different states and we have to do a lot of translation services, so this software is excellent.
Cons: I could not use it on my phone. I've tried multiple times to scan the QR code to perform my task on the phone but when it reaches to the final stage a message pops up which says "Shake the phone now to open the Lokaalise Debug Menu, and enable Live Mode by toggling the only switch there". However, when I shake my phone nothing happens.

Pros: We use it to manage around 8000 keys in 12 different languages. The service is very easy to use and has a really nice user interface that is joy to work with. Another helpful feature is the batch support, which allows for managing/updating many translations with just a few mouse clicks. Furthermore, we use the CLI to fetch the translations and embed them in our React native and Ruby on Rails apps.
Cons: Searching of translation keys could be improved at bit by supporting for example wildcard searches, but that's just a minor thing.
Jørgen Orehøj E. · CTO · Sports · July 3, 2020
Good product and very nice support team.
Pros: This product solves all problems with translation. I think the most important features for startups are: - Opportunity to launch experiments and make changes very fast without additional release - Connect with translators and attach screenshots to get the best translation - Sometimes use Google translate for not so important cases
Cons: So, it's not a big problem, but sometimes translators can be not so quick, as we expected. Mostly for rare languages.
Pavel L. · Chief Product Officer · Entertainment · April 8, 2020
Pros: Lokalise is extremely easy to use, the speed in which translations are returned to us has helped improved efficiency across our teams! Our account managers ([SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]) have always been on hand to help with any queries.
Cons: I'd like if there was some optional add on so that we could add a certain number of translations included with our package.
Rachel W. · Senior Product Manager · Telecommunications · April 2, 2020
Pros: Lokalise makes it easy to get a professional translation done on your website in multiple different languages.
Cons: I wish the languages would just auto sync up for the translation orders. It's hard to remember which version of spanish I am using for example. That should be something you only choose once.
Ryan W. · Director of Marketing · Computer Software · March 27, 2020
Pros: I like the tight integration with our Ruby on rails backend. It makes deploying translations easy. I also like how easy it is to order translations from them, get free machine translations, or hire your own private translator.
Cons: It used to be expensive, but the new pricing model reduced our yearly fee from $2,000/year to $200/year, so it's now a great value
Kendall F. · CoFounder · Human Resources · March 27, 2020
Pros: Everything about Lokalise works well - the translations are spot on (and I am a native speaker of four languages so I can really tell), the UX is well thought out and intuitive, it's fast and the search function especially. One thing I really love is that Lokalise remembers how you chose to translate something, not just the generic translation. The other thing is how easy it is to collaborate across our team. KUDOS for developing this and we love using your tool. Have recommended it to many others too, and they have been happy.
Cons: Please don't change anything - this is an awesome tool and it works perfectly as is!!
Alexandra G. · CEO · Hospital & Health Care · March 24, 2020
Pros: --Intergration with Github --API to automate translation process --Customer support, timely response --Screenshots for context
Cons: --Unsupported file formats --TM is not context based and not per language --TM can't be exported in XLS format --String description is not available with "Allow source key editing" disabled (we do not use "Allow source key editing") --Performance issues with large files --Terminology import/export is not available with XLS format --Some functionality is not user friendly (e.g. too many dependencies, reports are not easy to read) --word count is confusing
Tatiana S. · Sr. Localization Product Manager · Information Technology and Services · March 19, 2020
Pros: Functionality and support are amazing! There are a lot of useful features. Support works 24/7
Cons: I like this product, there is nothing that I don't like.
Artem A. · COO & Founder · Professional Training & Coaching · March 18, 2020
We were looking for a tool to manage all our translations for our Apps and Lokalise surprised us. In a few hours we have imported our projects and the export to iOS and Android is fast and easy. Let's move on to the payment plan because it's worth it.
Pros: - It's very easy to import and export. - Automatic language detection when importing all files. - Grammar checking is very useful. - Perfect for App developers. - Multiple format support (excel, csv...) - Group keys by a specific tag or file.
Cons: * We miss being able to see all the QA's and warnings without having to create a specific filter for all of them. * We have not yet discovered how to ignore the header (first lines) of a CSV or Excel file.
Jonathan J. · CEO · Computer Software · February 27, 2020
Outstanding experience.
Pros: What's great about Lokalise is that they provide both outstanding SaaS and great translation service, which creates a frictionless workflow that we need to keep ever changing content translated. Also great customer service.
Cons: I have not found any issues with the product as of yet.
Jeremy P. · CEO · Internet · February 26, 2020
Previously, localization was a situation in which our teams would constantly step on each others toes, trying to use Google Sheets to coordinate with each other and developers. It just never worked well and we wasted so much time on it until we found Lokalise. Now, translators can see what text is being edited in real time and work together to ensure the most correct translations.
Pros: Lokalise makes localization SO easy, even when working with extremely large teams. It's also packed full of features that make managing localizing easy, like SDKs for iOS and Android, easy batch edit tools and integrations with third party apps like Slack so we get notified when new strings are added. The duplicate editor has allowed us to drastically cut down on translation time. Finally, the latest feature we found and love is translation memory which allows us to translate a common word or phrase once and then Lokalise can automatically suggest it in the future.
Cons: Sometimes the website can be a bit slow... but we do have thousands of strings so I can't really blame them
