Pros: I love making loom videos for my employees. It is a great platform to be able to show how to move through websites and screens. I like how you can have video on or off.
Cons: It would be great to be able to tag spots in videos to jump to sections. Otherwise there is not much I don't like!

I have a team that helps me with my business and podcast that live internationally. Because we work in different time zones, Loom makes it so easy to review projects and give notes in real time. It also helps with training. Currently I'm teaching my VA how to prep the edit for my show and I was able to record a 45 minute loom for her to watch me edit the show in real time. It was so helpful!

Pros: Having the Loom plug in on chrome makes it so easy to send my team walk throughs of what I want them to learn and do for new tasks. It is so easy for training and sharing revisions of projects.
Cons: I am sometimes confused on the privacy of loom's videos and often double check the settings. However, that could just be user error.

Pros: Loom makes it really easy to record high-quality videos, both with just video and with a small video overlay over a screen recording. The built-in editor makes it super simple to polish videos, and sharing via link makes it easy to share videos with coworkers and clients and track engagement.
Cons: The pricing has increased over the years, and more features continue to be hidden behind tiered paywalls. After the Atlassian acquisition, it also became really difficult to find answers in the support documentation without getting lost in a sea of Atlassian articles that just tried to sell enterprise-style packages. What was once an innovative and super streamlined tool that could be used in business and education has now been affected by the enterprise SaaS bloat.

My experience with Loom has been very positive. It’s a simple tool that saves time, improves clarity, and makes async communication feel more natural—especially for explaining bugs, product flows, or status updates. While organization and light editing could be smoother, it’s still one of the most effective tools I’ve used for quick, clear communication.
Pros: It lets me explain something without needing to schedule time with someone. It’s great for walkthroughs, quick demos, and giving feedback because the message lands with context—people can see exactly what I’m referring to. I also like that it’s easy to share and revisit later, so the same recording can help multiple people without repeating myself.
Cons: One downside is that recordings can get scattered over time unless there’s a consistent way to organize them, so finding “that one video” later can take effort. Also, editing is helpful but still a bit time-consuming if you want a really polished outcome—sometimes it’s easier to re-record than to fine-tune a longer clip.

Great product for ease of use and for just getting a quick video to a client, but it really has gotten pricey in the last few years.
Pros: Loom has great resolution and it is extremely easy to use. It just works whenever you need to make client videos. Simpler than OBS studio to use and send to clients.
Cons: The 5 minute max video recording limit on the free plan makes it much harder to tell others to use it. It has also now gone up for the free plan from $8 to $18 which really is almost unaffordable for just a quick 10 minute video. I am totally fine with the 25 recording max amount of videos, but the 5 minutes is really not usable so you are almost required to go to a paid plan.

Very horrible and i wish i never used it, i only did because a friend recommended it to me but now after this experience which i had, i mean even the app performance is very poor that i 've to restart my recording alot.
Pros: The uploading system is very good and i can't deny that, also the fact that i can blur my background is also good feature.
Cons: Disappointing ServiceI am extremely disappointed with my experience with Loom. My subscription recently renewed for a second month, and despite the fact that I haven't recorded a single video since the renewal, they are refusing to issue a refund. Even during the first month, I hardly used the platform (only a couple of videos) because the app's performance was poor and did not meet my expectations. The user experience was overall very unsatisfying. It is frustrating to be charged for a service I am not using and have no intention of using due to its low quality. I expected better customer flexibility for a "pro" service. I would recommend looking for more reliable alternatives with better support policies.

Pros: I thought it was a nice visual way to show examples for training material for my staff. It was nice to be able to send videos in live time.
Cons: The speed was hard to figure out at 1st but once I played around with it I was able to figure it out with no issues.

Overall, it's been a great experience. Very smooth and easy. Simple integrations to make it easier to begin recordings.
Pros: Really enjoy the product in order to make recordings to teaching tools. It's simple to use and easy to share and track the views.
Cons: Can be a little pricey, but overall it's a great program and has been useful for the work we do and for teaching.

Overall, it’s been very positive. Loom saves time and cuts down on meetings. It’s also very easy to use.
Pros: Loom makes it really easy to explain ideas, give feedback, or walk through campaigns without scheduling another meeting. It’s been especially helpful for reviews, quick updates, and onboarding.
Cons: The editing features are pretty basic, so you can’t do much beyond simple trims. Videos can also feel a little slow to load at times.

Does exactly what it is intended to and i need it to do - simple, quick and reliable. Recording' videos made easy.
Pros: Simplicity and the ability to share with links. I've used competitors, and they also seem very buggy. Scren capture is strong.
Cons: Nothing to really note, it has limited functionality and is simple to use - no complaints as a user of loom

I like the editing features loom offers and it is very user friendly. The free version gives a good preview and worth the purchase if you plan to use and create a lot of content.
Pros: Great product that is easy to use. Very user friendly and makes sharing files and information a breeze. I also like the editing features
Cons: The free version offers a chance to create 5 minute videos which is great and a nice preview of the content you can create but also hard to fit enough information at times.

I haven't had any issues, and find it very helpful in my role as an educator. I've used it since 2020, and when covid caused so much of my work to be online it was a great asset to my work!
Pros: As an University adjunct instructor teaching online courses, I find Loom so helpful in conveying information to my students so easy. And allows for some of the "intricacies" of certain procedures (such as graphing or completing certain forms and procedures) to be demonstrated outside of our limited synchronous time together each week. I've also been able to edit some parts of a video, when student inquiries led me to realize some additional clarity was needed - without having to re-do the whole thing. I can edit right inside Loom. I'm also able to put videos in folders, so they can be organized by the course I teach. Though I can also share links to share from all folders with different groups. It's definitely a great value for the money it costs! I can set the links to different permissions, allowing for some confidentiality and secure sharing.
Cons: I haven't found much to be a problem with Loom. I use it for the basics, and it can do so much more than I use it for. But it's easy and pretty intuitive!

Really like the platform, they just make it easy & have not been replicated by another app that I know of yet.
Pros: That it can record your screen and share it easily. Works with Mac & Windows which is not always the case. It just works.
Cons: They stopped their integration with Trainual when they switched owners that has been super annoying.

Loom worked well for my needs, but my experience was soured by the lack of customer-friendly support and strict renewal rules. Disappointed by how a great product can be overshadowed by poor policy.
Pros: Easy to use, intuitive interface, and quick screen recording setup. I used it for almost 4 years and yet...
Cons: Rigid refund policy and zero flexibility on renewals, even for loyal customers. I tried to talk with customer support but...

Overall, Loom has been a very useful tool for quick communication and explaining complex ideas visually. It saves time by reducing unnecessary meetings and helps keep remote teams connected. While it’s not meant for high-end video editing, it excels at what it’s designed for—fast, clear, and personal communication through short videos. I’d definitely recommend it for teams that collaborate remotely or want to improve internal communication efficiency.
Pros: Loom makes it incredibly easy to record and share videos in seconds. The ability to capture both your screen and webcam is great for tutorials, walkthroughs, or quick updates. It’s intuitive, lightweight, and perfect for asynchronous communication—no need to schedule a meeting. I also like how easily it integrates with tools like Slack, Gmail, and Google Workspace, and how simple it is to share a video link with just one click.
Cons: The free plan is pretty limited, with short video length caps and restricted storage. Editing options are also basic, so it’s not ideal if you need polished, professional video production. Occasionally, the app can glitch with audio or camera feeds, and since everything is stored in the cloud, privacy settings require attention when sharing sensitive content.

I have enjoyed using Loom to see my employees respond to my prompts and check in with others in a more engaging way. This is way better than email responses.
Pros: Being able to video record answers is an amazing feature and concept. I love using this to confirm meeting recordings and get simple updates from others outside of my time zone.
Cons: There's not a lot of ability to edit the recordings as this feature is basic only. This also requires a strong internet connection to make sure it uploads correctly.

We paid $180 for a monthly Loom service in May 2025, expecting it to help equip and support our team. Unfortunately, the service hasn’t been working properly since day one, and despite emailing their support three times, we’ve received no response at all. We had planned to use Loom as a key tool for our organization, but the lack of customer support has made that impossible. At this point, we either need the issue resolved immediately or a full refund. This review is our last resort to get their attention, as it’s unacceptable to pay for a service and be completely ignored.
Pros: NA!
Cons: No Support!

I’m Matías, founder at Anunzi (marketing + AI). We used a paid plan for a year and then paused mainly because our project volume dropped, not because Loom under-delivered. During that period, Loom became our default for demos, client updates, and internal explanations, it consistently reduced meeting time and shortened feedback cycles. From a security standpoint, sharing controls and link privacy have been clear and reliable for client-facing content. Value for money is excellent if your team records regularly; even on lighter months, the AI summaries and instant sharing justify the tool when you’re remote. Customer support has been responsive the few times we reached out. Screen capture is stable, file sharing via links is effortless, and for remote work Loom has been the most effective “show, don’t tell” solution we’ve tried. Five stars from me because it meaningfully improves communication speed and clarity.
Pros: What I like most is how quickly I can record, share, and get watched. Screen + camera setup is frictionless, links are instant, and viewers can add comments or emoji so I know what landed without a meeting. For remote work this collapses back-and-forth emails into a single clear video. Screen capture quality is crisp, the editor is simple for trims, and the AI features (summaries, titles, and chapters) save real time when I’m sending demos to clients or explaining tasks to my team.
Cons: There isn’t much to dislike, but the web editor is intentionally lightweight, so fine audio mixing or multi-track polish still requires exporting. I’ve hit an occasional hiccup with uploads on spotty Wi-Fi, and organization can get messy if your workspace grows without naming rules or folders. None of these were deal-breakers.

It is a brilliant way to record your screen in multiple formats. You can screen record with your camera on, off, and with multiple screens.
Pros: I love that it’s FREE to use as a base model. This program saved me during the pandemic and I needed to screen record for my e-learning modules. Since then I use it all the time for demonstrating digital processes.
Cons: I love that it is so publicly accessible. I think that it’s rare these days to have low cost or free programs that do such heavy lifting in one’s workflow.

My overall experience with Loom has been mixed. On one hand, I appreciate how easy it is to get started and share content, but the technical issues make it unreliable at times. I rated it 3/5 because while it’s useful, I can’t always trust it to work smoothly.
Pros: What I liked most about Loom is how simple and intuitive it is to use. The interface is clean, and recording or sharing videos is really straightforward, which makes it accessible even for people who are not very tech-savvy.
Cons: The biggest downside is the frequent bugs. Unfortunately, my camera feed sometimes disappears, recordings occasionally fail to save, and the app can get stuck in an infinite loop. These issues are especially frustrating when I need to capture something quickly. I’ve reset my Chrome settings multiple times, but the problems keep coming back and my colleagues experience the same issues.

Pros: Loom is fantastic, it saves me and my team so much time that would otherwise have been spent in meetings. It is easy to use, simple to control exactly how much of your screen you want to record, and allows for basic editing to fine tune what you want to share. I regularly have to walk people through how to use certain tools in my team, and I love that I can simply record one Loom video and share it with people over and over again, instead of having to book walkthrough meetings repeatedly.
Cons: The AI powered titles and summaries can be quite far off the reality sometimes, but that's a fairly new feature which I'm sure will improve with time. I do find that the record button sometimes has a bug and needs to be clicked multiple times before the record options actually pop up.
Rebecca L. · Insights Specialist · Retail · September 26, 2025
In my opinion, this is the easiest screen recording software to use. You can use either the extension or the app, edit before exporting, and there’s a free version that lets you make up to 25 videos.
Pros: I can record just a specific window or your whole screen. It also lets me edit right on the site to cut out pauses before downloading
Cons: The free version doesn’t let use it for very long. The shortcoming is that I could only record 5-minute videos.
Jeff K. · Copywriter · Internet · September 25, 2025
Overall I must say that I really like Loom. Is convenient, is well integrated with Chrome and very simple to use. It also has a quick explanation tool for users when Loom is introducing new features, making the UX pleasant. The audio works very well, and when I had to create video presentation, I was very happy that I could even edit the speed of the audio.
Pros: Loom is very simple to use. You can access it on the fly from your screen and start to quickly do a recording. I like the design features it has.
Cons: I've used loom for video presentations several times and a couple of times for a teams presentation. In both cases, resolution of the avatar window is not the best; specially when using a background, my image flickers weirdly like if there was an aura.
Georgina A. · other · E-Learning · September 23, 2025
