This is great for large calls, both internal and external. We are able to have short one on ones and longer, larger meetings with the same amount of ease!
Pros: Easy meeting platform! This is a quick way to get in touch with teammates or to plan a larger scale call!
Cons: Integrating Google with other platforms is easy, but I have to be mindful when scheduling meetings within my calendar because it doesn't always default to google meets even though that's what we use most frequently!

Google meet is an incredibly valuable tool that we use daily - it is a big part of allowing us to collaborate as a remote team, and deliver our services through large, online education programs
Pros: It's a very simple virtual meeting platform - easy to set up meetings very quickly, and it's accessible to everyone individual and organisation and it's not intrusive; it doesn't ask you to install software like most other video meeting platforms. We use it for everyday internal meetings, but to also host all our virtual education workshops.
Cons: Every now and then it has issues where people will join a call, and their audio will not work. This happens across devices, locations, and businesses - and it's solved simply by leaving the call and joining again.

Pros: I like its ease of use, background option. It doesn't have any bugs problems. Participants are easy to manage. It is not cost to use as Microsoft Teams does.
Cons: The interface looks less professional in my opinion, and that's a minor disadvantage. But other than that, it's superior to Microsoft Teams.

Google Meet is a amazing platform. It is simple to use, easy for participants to join, and works well for regular meetings or online sessions. I also like that users can join meetings directly through their Gmail account, which makes access more convenient and familiar. For larger webinars, it can feel a little limited. I think it could improve with better registration options, attendee tracking, reporting, branding, background effects, and more advanced participant controls. Overall, it is reliable and user-friendly, but it could offer more features for professional webinars.
Pros: Google Meet is simple and easy to use, especially for webinars or online sessions. Participants can join with a link without much confusion, which makes it easier to manage larger groups. Even we can start or join a meeting within our Gmail account. The participant management features are also straightforward, such as muting attendees, admitting people, and keeping the session organized. Overall, it feels reliable and user-friendly, with fewer technical issues or bugs compared to some other platforms.
Cons: Apparently, Google Meet feels a bit limited for larger or more formal webinars. It works well for simple meetings, but I wish it had stronger webinar features like better registration options, attendee tracking, reporting, and more control over participants. Some meeting features also feel basic compared to other platforms, such as background effects, layout options, branding, waiting room controls, and engagement tools. The background blur/effects are useful, but they are not always as polished or flexible as expected. Overall, Google Meet is easy to use, but it could improve in advanced webinar and meeting customization features.

My overall experience with Google Meet at CRARR was excellent. As a Communications Officer, I used it daily for internal meetings, team coordination, and webinars. It was our main communication tool, especially when other systems were down. Google Meet was reliable, easy to use, and accessible for everyone on the team. It made collaboration smooth and helped us stay organized during busy periods.
Pros: What I liked most was how reliable and simple Google Meet was for internal communication at CRARR. Meetings started on time, screen sharing was smooth, and staff could join from any device.
Cons: What I liked least is that advanced webinar features are limited compared to Zoom. But for internal communication, it still worked perfectly.

Overall, Google Meet has been reliable and convenient for both personal and professional meetings. The interface is clean, easy to navigate and works well for quick video calls, team meetings and online communication. I also like that there is no complicated setup required.
Pros: Google Meet is simple to use and easy to join from any device. I like how smoothly it connects with Gmail and Google Calendar, making meetings quick to schedule and access. The video and audio quality are usually very good as well.
Cons: Sometimes the connection quality depends heavily on internet speed, and a few advanced features are limited compared to some other meeting platforms unless you have a paid plan.

I use Google Meet weekly since I work remotely and out of state from the company I work for. It’s one of the easiest platforms to use when I want to quickly connect and meet with my coworkers. I especially like the features that allow me to blur my background, mute myself, or turn off screen sharing whenever needed. Another major benefit is how user-friendly the platform is overall. I also appreciate that Google Meet can take notes during meetings, which is extremely helpful if we need to review important information afterward. Overall, Google Meet has been a very reliable and convenient tool for communication and collaboration.
Pros: I love Google Meet because it is incredibly easy to use and set up. Since my coworkers and I already use Gmail and Google Chat, it’s very convenient to quickly send a Google Meet link whenever we need to discuss something briefly or hold a longer meeting. I also appreciate how reliable the platform is — I rarely experience any technical issues or bugs while using it. It's a great site to use to hold webinars because you can share your screen and present without any error or difficulty.
Cons: Truthfully, there is very little I dislike about Google Meet. Having used technology throughout my teenage and adult years, I have experienced many different virtual meeting platforms, and Google Meet has been my favorite overall. I find it to be the most user-friendly, reliable, and convenient option for virtual meetings.

Very happy with this. It's a great, lightweight, free meeting tool that you can use both for personal meetings as an alternative to Skype/Whatsapp, as well as for business meetings.
Pros: Love that it's free, and there are a ton of options, even on the free plan. Easy to use, it's lightweight, and I love that people can easily join from a mobile device. If you have people joining from a bunch of different types of devices, this is a lot easier to use than Zoom. It also allows you to share your screen.
Cons: The free plan doesn't allow Gemini to record meetings. I use an external notetaker, but it would be nice to have Gemini integrated. Additionally, it allows screen sharing... but you can't take control of someone else's computer! Google Meet, we're waiting for that feature!

My overall experience with Google Meet has been positive. It’s reliable, easy to use, and integrates well with Google Workspace. While it lacks some advanced features, it’s effective for everyday video meetings and remote communication.
Pros: What I liked most about Google Meet is how simple and reliable it is for video meetings. It connects easily through Google Workspace, offers good video quality, and requires no complicated setup to join or host meetings.
Cons: What I liked least about Google Meet is that it has fewer advanced collaboration features compared to some competitors, and performance can vary with weaker internet connections.

Pros: Google meets is super easy to use. I love the unique background options that they offer. It is included into my Google Workspace, so that amazing.
Cons: Sometimes the system does have glitches and issues but nothing that causes longterm consequences, other than that, I can't complain.

I started using Google meet back in 2019 when cov*d was making us stay home for online classes it was tough but it changed the way we see online classes.
Pros: It's a very easy platform for online meetings sessions whetter is from mobile or desktop, super interactive free of charge.
Cons: The limit of 50 people per session online but for a free plan that covers a lot more than it should so it's a knock.

I am happy with my overall experience with Google and Google Meet. I trust their products and I am grateful that it continues to get upgraded and expanded features.
Pros: I am grateful for the value for money option and the easy of setting up meetings. The background options are great - they look realistic and they're beautiful.
Cons: My least favorite thing about Google Meet is the random poor quality of the meeting, probably happening about 20% of the time.

I love the simplicity of using Google Meet and love to schedule an event and use the quick link that send the request with the link when the calendar event is made.
Pros: Using Google Meet is simpler than other video meets and connects directly to making a calendar event on Google.
Cons: Sometimes, there may be a little technology issues or users think if they don't have a gmail that they aren't able to use it.

A good video conferencing application if you're using Google Workspace. Doesn't require any other desktop application and can function fully through a web browser (Chrome ideally).
Pros: Like that it's bundled into every Google Workspace subscription. Its a good video conferencing platform for SMB. You can do in meeting video, chat, file sharing, and screensharing. Natively integrates with Google Calendar and Gmail. And you can use it through any web browser.
Cons: There's no dedicated Google Meet "desktop" app. Its only available through a web browser (recommeded is Google Chrome). The UI is modern looking but at the same time isnt super intuitive to use. Its also really annoying how to set up a dedicated "Google Meets Room".

Been great, cant beat a free tol that is integrated with our workspace, and that is also considered an industry standard
Pros: Cant beat a free tool that lets you particiapte in management, meetings, and helps with on the fly file management as well. Easy to use, few bugs, and Google has great customer support. Plenty of background options too!
Cons: Sometimes a Google meet will have issues connecting with all participants and that can be super frustrating.
Drew L. · SR SYS Admin · Consumer Goods · April 30, 2026
Pros: Google Meets is the easiest video conferencing platform that I've used. I enjoy that there's background options with a variety of themes to choose from, and It also allows you to blur your screen if needed. I also enjoy the fact that it makes team collaboration and remote work that much easier, because it's really easy to share links to meetings. It's also easy to collaborate on files. Overall, I do think it's a great value for your money given the access to tools and resources you get.
Cons: Google Meets does freeze sometimes, and there are glitches with the screen. That's one of the biggest bugs I've run into. I've also struggled to access customer support at times, with dealing with AI loops or long waits to access help for basic issues.
Bri K. · Marketing Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · April 30, 2026
Overall, my experience has been really good and I have liked using this application. I’ll continue to use.
Pros: I like the easy to use - ness of Google meet versus zoom. I’ve never had any bugs or issues or needed customer support. I like that it’s free. I like that I can see all the participants at one time or kind of remove it from my view. It’s way to manage files for sharing and to do things in the background if needed.
Cons: I don’t have any negatives. It’s very user friendly and easy to use for newcomers. I’ll continue to use.
Olivia G. · Teacher · Child Day Care Services · April 29, 2026
My overall experience with Google Meet has been positive. It’s a reliable and easy-to-use platform that makes joining and hosting meetings simple, especially with just a link.
Pros: What I like most about Google Meet is how easy it is to use. You can join meetings quickly with just a link—no complicated setup needed.
Cons: What I like least about Google Meet is that some of its more advanced features—like longer meeting times, recording, and certain controls—are limited unless you have a paid plan.

I started using Google Meet when Zoom got overwhelmed with new users in 2020. That platform had begun to glitch on me so I looked for something else that was affordable, user friendly and reliable. Google Meet served all my needs as a small business owner and helped keep my business flowing through the chaotic times of Covid and after I moved away from where the bulk of my clients' live.
Pros: Google Meet is beyond user friendly and supplies multiple functions for small business owners like myself. It's easily accessible and incredibly affordable!
Cons: There's actually nothing that I would change about this platform right now. It met all my needs and allowed me to continue serving my clients even when I moved 1 1/2 hours away AND during Covid!
Violet B. · Artist Representative · Arts and Crafts · April 24, 2026
Google meet is a very awesome online meeting streaming app . It been more than 5 years now that I have been using it to do online meetings both at work and at home.
Pros: I like the instant chat feature. I so much love as google meet is so easy to do online meeting with people. I like the fact that google meet doesn’t consume much data as zoom does. I haven’t experienced bugs problems so far. I so much love the availability of background options. It has a great value for money.
Cons: There is no con for google meet from me for now as most of its features are working well for me. It has a nice participant management.
Medina- Maldonado J. · Graphic designer · Graphic Design · April 22, 2026
Google meet has been essential for our business as most of our clients are not local, therefor we can have meetings when required, as well as share our screen to review documents or drawings in real time.
Pros: Google meet is a great resource if you are working remotely, or have clients that are a distance away. Opposed to other video call options, there is no time limit, which is essential when meeting with clients.
Cons: There aren't many cons to google meet, it does glitch once in a while during a meeting when internet connections are strong, otherwise, it is a google product.
Kat W. · Design Consultant · Construction · April 20, 2026
Sebastian K. · Managing Director · Information Technology and Services · April 19, 2026
My expectations with Google Meet are always met. If I am attending a work meeting or simply chatting with my family, I can always expect no interruptions.
Pros: Google Meet turns out to be a space where you send an invitation, whether business or personal. No glitches.
Cons: The app can improve its group call settings. During calls you can fall into confusion while trying to switch cameras.
Shae M. · Case Manager Assistant · Law Practice · April 15, 2026
Google Meet is easy to schedule, use, and is nice for a virtual meeting option instead of meeting in person.
Pros: Being able to connect with other adults for meetings, interviews, etc and not have to be in person. It is easy to use and effective.
Cons: There are restrictions on the free version such as a time limit. Also, only one screen can be shared at a time.
