ManageEngine Remote Access Plus is a solid, cost‑effective solution for day‑to‑day remote IT support and administration
Pros: it’s a solid, cost‑effective solution for centralized remote troubleshooting and system administration.
Cons: it may feel limited for teams needing highly polished UX, deep automation, or cross‑platform parity.

Overall good experience and a damn sight cheaper than many other competitors. ManageEngine are a long established and reputable company which shows in the quality of the product.
Pros: Price and functionality are excellent value for money compared to competitors, it is exceptionally easy to use and roll out. Remote access, once connection is established is smooth and fully functional
Cons: Occasionally, for no discernible reason, an agent will fail to respond. Closing the browser and opening it again usually resolves this so maybe cookie handling?

we use this tool for IT support and IT is a good system and easy to use. the only issue i have with it is that it is not direct connection.
Pros: Great Value for Money I've checked more than a few remote access on premises application and ManageEngine Remote Access Plus had the best Value for Money! Very Ease of Use, I've installed and configured every possible configuration and didn't have any issues.
Cons: had some Connection Issues, the application does not connect directly to the wanted client, the connection is throw the Server and need the server to have access to all vlans on the network. on slow connection the connection doesn't always work.

Overall, my experience with Remote Access Plus has been very positive. It is a powerful and practical tool for IT administrators who manage many computers in a corporate environment. The software provides fast remote troubleshooting, monitoring, and system management from a single console. Deployment and maintenance are simple, and the platform works reliably in a Windows domain infrastructure. It significantly reduces the time required to support users and maintain systems.
Pros: Remote Access Plus is very reliable and easy to use for daily IT administration. The interface is clear and allows quick remote access to computers without complex configuration. I especially like the integrated tools such as remote desktop, file transfer, command prompt, and system manager, which help resolve issues without interrupting users. Deployment in a domain environment was straightforward, and the performance of remote sessions is stable even over slower network connections.
Cons: The web interface sometimes feels slightly outdated and some advanced settings are spread across different sections, which can take time to find. In addition, documentation for certain enterprise scenarios could be more detailed. However, these are relatively minor issues and do not affect the overall functionality.

Pros: its cost effective, asset management and Working from Anywhere: Access your office computer from home, a café, or while traveling. Accessing Specialized Software: Use high-powered or licensed software installed on a remote workstation.
Cons: slowness,Server Administration: Manage headless servers (like in data centers) from a single location. Collaboration & Training: Share your screen with a colleague or guide them through a process.

In our organization, we use RAP for remote technical support to internal clients and to control remote access for external providers, who previously used TeamViewer and AnyDesk without oversight. Having RAP on an on-premises server gives us greater control over users and an additional layer of security, It also allows us to perform various functions without having to access the user's endpoint, thus avoiding interrupting their work
Pros: Remote Access Plus connections works well within the LAN, but it's a bit slower outside of it. Its ease of connection, is a plus. You can access the CMD and perform tests without disturbing the user, or review the underlying services. The product's price isn't high and it offers interesting functionality, and if you want to go further, Manageengine offers alternatives with more options.
Cons: It is not very suitable for connection through the APP, and consumes too much RAM during the connection, sometimes even causing the endpoint to freeze.

I recently started using it for remote management, and the experience has been stable and reliable, making daily IT support tasks easier and more organized.
Pros: The tool is very fast and easy to use, with a smooth remote connection experience and clear reports that help monitor systems efficiently and save time.
Cons: So far, I have not faced any issues or limitations. All the features I need for remote management are available and working as expected.

This is a very well rounded product that simply works as advertised. If the remote device has power and an internet/network connection, it connects the first time, every time. The initial setup was very easy and quick. We were up and running within 15 minutes.
Pros: This product excels in ease of use. It simply, 'just works'. This is a full featured remote control, unattended access, product. This product has file transfer, chat and many essential system management tools. The pricing of this is a GREAT value for the features offered. I have not needed to contact their technical support on this product so I have no opinion on the quality of their support at this time.
Cons: There are very few things to report as a negative about the ManageEngine Remote Access Plus product. I suppose, the one thing I did notice, when using the remote command prompt, the up and down arrows, to recall previous commands and the tab key to complete a partially typed command, do not work.

The software is really good, sometimes it has some lag on the console, but it works fine, the ipad app is really good compared with other solutions in the market.
Pros: It provides real value for money, the other options are mote expensive and lack some really needed functionality like wake on lan.
Cons: The fact that at least from my perspective I was no able to review patch management along with Remote access, it created diferent install packages and only one was active. I needed to remove patch management and reinstall remote access to make it work.

Overall, ManageEngine Remote Access Plus has been a lifesaver for our distributed IT team. It’s cut down our response time for support tickets and made system maintenance a breeze. The product feels stable, secure, and well-supported. Even during peak usage, the performance has remained consistent. I also like the transparency of session logs and user activity tracking—it gives us peace of mind from a compliance standpoint.
Pros: The seamless remote access functionality is incredibly reliable and responsive. I particularly appreciate the ability to manage endpoints across multiple networks without any noticeable lag. The UI is clean, intuitive, and makes it easy to navigate even more advanced functions. It’s a huge plus that it integrates well with our existing systems and provides detailed audit logs for all sessions.
Cons: Initial setup can be a bit confusing due to the number of configuration options. It would be great to have more in-app guidance or tooltips explaining each feature. Also, the mobile app could use some UX improvements to match the polish of the desktop version.

Easy to set up and reliable. Audits and records everything so you can safely give access to remote teams and subcontractors.
Pros: Cloud convenience and security but also has an on-premises option. All the options you might need such as RBAC and assets groups plus session recording!
Cons: In the cloud version the recorded sessions are stored in place without the option to choose your own cloud or storage space. Also, the recording download is only manual and can't be scheduled.

From the very beginning, the installation and setup process is highly intuitive. During the testing phase, we submitted numerous requests, which ManageEngine accepted and added to their development roadmap. Configuring role-based permissions is relatively simple, and using additional tools significantly streamlines the work of IT technicians. The support from ManageEngine is simply excellent. Installing agents on end-user devices is fairly straightforward. I would appreciate having more information in the logs, but even with the current setup, it is still very manageable.
Pros: Very easy to use. Support from ManageEngine. Helps and speeds up assistance for end users.
Cons: It happened that the link from the application to the manufacturer's website did not exist. The groups functioned slightly differently than I needed.

I'm fully satisfied. It's a great solution for our needs.
Pros: Easy to use, cost effective, secure remote access solution.
Cons: typical cloud based remote access solution may be open for unexpected vulnerabilities. nothing special.

The remote access plus product has been the winning choice for the business
Pros: This is a fantastic cloud based remote access tool that is very good value for money. As many other Manage Engine products, the product excels at what it does, and it is quite comprehensive for the price paid.
Cons: So far, I would like to see this integrate with Service Desk Plus Cloud, which is not currently possible.
Marius B. · IT Manager · Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing · January 23, 2025
Pros: I like the agent integration with Active Directory to easy deployment via GPO. I like the web interface, and I especially like the performance and features of the tool.
Cons: My only request is to have a desktop client. The web interface is great, but a desktop client would be really nice.

Manage engine remote access plus is a great product and easy to use, the powerful tools like file manager, task manager, ability to start or stop services without remoting into machine is absolutely game changer for me, I would continue using this product as support is amazing even for free editions
Pros: Easy to install and powerful bundle of tools available from single console
Cons: no option for one time run exe like team viewer quick support
raj s. · IT Consultant · Accounting · December 15, 2024
In general, it is a great tool for the IT support engineer
Pros: The easy way to connect to give support to the users
Cons: It will be great to have more reports about the connections

I use ManageEngine Remote Access Plus to provide support to the users in my job.
Pros: What I most like about ManageEngine Remote Access Plus 10 is the easy to use interface and its features like file transfer and screen recorder, above all the multi-monitor support feature. Also, it provides detailed reports on active remote sessions and tasks performed.
Cons: Configuring the ports required for agent-server communication can be complex. In addition, the effectiveness of remote access can be affected by network quality, which can cause delays or interruptions in the connection. Although the interface is simplified, it may require some adaptation time for new users who are not familiar with this type of tool.

Overall very pleased so far, I've used ManageEngine products at my place of work so was already familiar with it. I love that it works from the get go, I've tried other software for remote and they always seem to have glitches or so many hurdles to jump to make it work right. It was pretty much install approve and your done.
Pros: I love the ability to easily manage your domain and computers in one spot online in the cloud via secure connection. Also, have already tried the IOS app on phone and worked perfect which i can't say about other remote assist apps.
Cons: This is more me not reading instructions but I didn't realize you had to approve new connections. So not really a con but it stopped me from seeing new computers till i approved. So actually a plus. One con at least to me is the moment you sign up for anything manageengine you get nonstop emails saying hey you haven't tried this yet. I do like the support but to me it feels more like spam in my inbox. Just let me test.

Pros: Ease of setup and deployment, configurability, the ability to create roles with different levels of access. The ability to chat, share files, screen record, restart, update the registry, install software, etc. Multi-monitor and OS support.
Cons: The setup UI is a little disorganized, but that's on the backend only.
Tony H. · Systems Analyst · Education Management · September 25, 2024
I have been using the system for some months now, and I can say that it's perfect for IT departments because it allows to see if a device is working and connected to the net, which user is using the device and give u the posibility to connect and do any configuration or check taht you need without leaving your seat.
Pros: It give me the posibility to connect with elevated permissions to the company's user's devices to manage configurations. install and uninstall software, and even switch between users on the same device.
Cons: When loggin out of a session, the system takes a few minutes before allowing me to log back into the same device. It alsi takes a long time todetect a device that has just been turned on.

As IT we are using it daily to support end users this is reduce the cost and time of going to branches.
Pros: File Transfer, Mange the remote Easly, Chat useful advantages.
Cons: Easy use, Easy Deployment on end point PCs, Easy to make inventory to your IT devices.

My experience implementing Remote Access has been the best since it is a tool with various options and easy to implement. The best thing is that it allows you to record all support sessions and it helps a lot as evidence.
Pros: The ease of use and the number of available modules it has to be able to provide correct remote support.
Cons: What I liked least was that it doesn't have as many reports on the available machines.
José Manuel D. · Lic. Informática · Computer Networking · July 27, 2024
Overall the experience has been great. I like the product and would like to continue to use it
Pros: unattended remote access is very helpful when the user can't download other products software in order for remote support. With this product you preinstall it and can remote in just fine
Cons: As a small business I with there was a free version that allows for use, not just the trial.
