It's great. We switched over from a different scheduling program, and there was no learning curve. The integration with Toast is ultimately why we chose it.
Pros: It's very easy to use. Syncs back and forth with Toast with sales and time punches used in toast. The data sync helps with scheduling to projected budgets. Employees like the app platform. Looks clean and is streamlined.
Cons: There really isn't anything that I dislike about it. The only thing I find annoying is that employees are sorted by first name only--and I can't adjust to sort by last name.

Was very happy with sling. Everything g was easy and simpler to use. Requesting time off, resting and publishing the schedules and user messaging was all a breeze with Sling.
Pros: Sling is easily accessible for all employees. The interface is clean and simple. Very easy to navigate schedules and clocking in/out.
Cons: Honestly not a lot of negative feedback. Could use more colors to designate different users and groupings.

It was a decent app to clock in clock out but the communication options were poor because the sounds were so low and would miss texts
Pros: Easy to clock in if connected to wifi. Communicating with team members option. Managing team schedules was fairly easy.
Cons: How sometimes you had to disconnect from wifi and reconnect to clock in. Notification sounds were very soft

Coverage is very important as a specialist. I use this to schedule staff. It is essential to task management yet it takes time to be set up in the beginning.
Pros: Our team management features enable us to organize 24/7 shifts of our medical dispatch center and make sure that each emergency call is addressed promptly.
Cons: New employees have a steep learning curve, and due to the bugs and the occasional failures of the notifications, it is possible to miss the shift alerts.

my overall experience is very nice and i satisfied and i like i have become organized which make my life efficient.
Pros: Sling is simple and easy to use for scheduling. It makes shift planning and communication more efficient. Notifications help employees stay updated on schedule changes.
Cons: Some features are limited in the free version. The app can feel slow or glitchy at times. Customization options are somewhat limited.

Overall, Sling has made my work life much more organized. I use it daily to check my shifts and clock in. It’s very user-friendly, and I didn't really need a "tutorial" to figure out how to use it. It’s a solid 4-star app—it does exactly what it needs to do for scheduling, though a smoother mobile experience would make it perfect.
Pros: I love that I get instant alerts when a new schedule is posted or if a shift changes, so I never have to guess when I'm working. It's really easy to put a shift up for grabs or trade with a coworker without having to text everyone individually. Having the schedule, my time clock, and team messages all in one app is much better than using multiple platforms.
Cons: The app can sometimes be a bit slow to load or "cramped" on a smaller screen compared to the desktop version. Occasionally, there’s a slight delay in notifications or syncing when my manager makes a last-minute change. On the mobile app, it can sometimes be hard to see the "big picture" of the whole team's schedule for the week compared to looking at it on a computer.

Pros: Incredibly easy to use, drag and drop, duplicate shifts and the free version can be used for simple scheduling.
Cons: Messaging is not intuitive. There is no separation in group messaging if you have multiple locations.

Pros: I work in a large team. In sling, my manager was able to identify different members of the team in groups. I then could filter by team and only see the schedules of my close team members vs scrolling through everyone in our department.
Cons: When my manager was updating our schedules on a quarterly basis, our phones would be spammed by countless notifications about schedule changes. This could be remedied by turning off notifications during this period of time, however this made it a risk for forgetting to turn notifications back on and missing important future communication.

Overall I would go back should need be, I would also recommend! Scheduling made simple. Top 3 softwares for sure!
Pros: I tried sling for a short time but it was okay to work with at the time! A pro was it’s easy to understand, like most.
Cons: Technical errors? Sometimes I wasn’t sure if it was me but I had trouble in certain areas but not consistent.

Pros: Cheap and user friendly for both administration and staff using the program for scheduling (clocking in and out)
Cons: We would have to deactivate users as it was paid per user. To save money in slower seasons, we would deactivate staff
Amanda C. · Office Manager · Entertainment · July 24, 2025
Pros: Very easy to communicate with staff members. Teams were buildable and easily managed. Individual boards made communication between teams easier.
Cons: I have no complaints about sling. I would go back to it if I could. I think the biggest issue we had as a business was the amount of staff allowed for the price

Sling is a very useful and adaptable app for scheduling. Want to let people switch their own shifts? Turn on the setting! Want to approve each switch change? You can do that too. Want to look at a few people's schedules? It is very easy to do so.
Pros: Sling has a feature in which you can view your own schedule or you can view the entire schedule, including other people's. This makes it very easy to see what you want to see - your schedule, or who is working next, before you, or on a shift you might prefer. Sling also provides an ability to switch shifts with individuals rather than everyone on the team which reduces clutter to those who cannot work that shift.
Cons: There is not much about Sling that I did not like other than when multiple schedules are input there are occasional errors. Sometimes the shifts at my job overlap for different responsibilities, which we schedule into Sling. When scheduling those roles or switching shifts among people, Sling sometimes errors out or states that there is an overlap multiple times before allowing us to schedule.

It was positive, but we moved to another product that gave us more flexibility and options to manage the team.
Pros: The ease of use. It was easy for us to figure out how to use and for the staff to get acquainted with.
Cons: That I couldn’t easily share task lists with the rest of the team that was working. We also didn’t have the functionality to have a document repository that was app based for the staff- the app was limited.

It imposed an agenda on the chaotic scheduling in our agency. We no longer cause/overlap due dates and we prevent burnout by trying to evenly distribute the work among staff.
Pros: With drag-and-drop shift planning and team communication tools, Sling makes it simple to keep track of who will be working where – even when those campaign deadlines start to pile up. I like that I can see in real time what’s happening and request time off.
Cons: Notifications can be overwhelming, and it’s mildly tedious to create recurring shifts. But without that issue, it's good.
Carla D. · Finance and Operations Manager · Marketing and Advertising · June 12, 2025
We use this to schedule multiple positions at multiple sites. Workers only have to see the shift and roles at sites they work at. Having the ability to set workers up like this has really made our team happy- they used to have to see all shift everywhere now they only see the shift they are eligible for.
Pros: Sling is easy to setup and allows for varied roles within the schedule - workers only see the shifts that work for them.
Cons: Got this purely for scheduling and found that to do much reporting required upgrading to higher tiered product.

My overall experience with Sling is great from the schedules to tracking time to communicate with my employees.
Pros: I love how sling allows me to manage the schedule for employees to work around their schedules. sling is a great platform and easy to use with a lot of benefits.
Cons: Nothing. Sling works incredible and i use it almost daily. it offers great benefits and has a lot of things you can use to improve your business.

I love it, it has been very helpful and has streamline our shift scheduling with young people greatly. On rare occasion I need to contact customer service, they're very helpful.
Pros: Easy to manage, easy bulk entry. Easy data management. Has a user friendly mobile app. Integrates with other calendars if you like.
Cons: Views of schedule get a little wonky when you try to look longer than week. Some functions like call-ins can be cumbersome to go back to roster view.
CHRIS O. · Operations Manager · Entertainment · May 23, 2025
Pros: I love how it’s an easy form of communication between an internal teaming! Helping to stay connected to people in the company easier is key!
Cons: I can’t think of something I don’t like about it! Perhaps if it had a calling option!

Sling did its job for us but our growing company needed more. We needed a software that could encompass more features in one hub.
Pros: The app had a very basic visual appeal on desktop and was easy to use for communication. Liked the use of repeating shifts and creating chats.
Cons: I felt the app has features that could be updated for better usage like employee adjust shift with management approval, forms, etc.
Koko H. · HR Coordinator · Sports · April 21, 2025
It’s simplified planning QA inspections, helping me ensure we’re covered for critical production runs while not crossing those scheduling paths.
Pros: I like Sling’s shift scheduling because I can coordinate my QA team across Suho Garmindo’s production floors, and see clearly who’s on duty.
Cons: Some automation features are lacking in the free version, and I sometimes have to spend additional time manually adjusting schedules for last-minute changes.
Suhail H. · QA Member · Apparel & Fashion · April 17, 2025
Doing great, pretty user friendly. It has the ability to custom schedules and colors for jobs. It is a overall easy to use as stated before.
Pros: The color coding, the easy use, proficiency, customer service. So far we are still learning all its ability and look foreword to keep using this service.
Cons: ability to change the pto names, from sick, sick child etc. Also it does not include the hours used as pto in the hours needing paid. Having to pull a separate report for this calculation.
Violet C. · Bookkeeper · Libraries · April 15, 2025
I really enjoyed it overall, and I appreciated its integration with our Gusto account. My team was shrinking in size, so it became less necessary to use a separate app, but I would have kept using it if I had kept a larger staff.
Pros: Very easy to arrange and coordinate various schedules and staff calendars. Nice to have desktop and mobile friendly app to bounce between seamlessly.
Cons: This is mostly operator-influenced, but my staff has multiple calendars, so it became easy to conflate schedule commitments if the user doesn't pay close attention to which calendar they are working under.

I used the free version as a manager and it worked great, I got several other departments to start using it as well.
Pros: I loved how easy it was to use, the color organization made it simple and visually pleasing. I liked that you could have different locations
Cons: I would get frustrated that when I moved a shift, it would un-publish it
Kelsey H. · Guest Service Manager · Hospitality · April 10, 2025
Overall, I love utilizing Sling for my job. I wish the free account had more slots available.
Pros: I use this program for scheduling my front desk staff and aquatic staff. It's been working really well and it's very easy to use. My older staff are equally able to figure out the program without much issue which is really nice. I also like that it's available on an app as well as the website.
Cons: I wish the free user accounts didn't keep it at 50 users. Sling keeps downsizing and I'm over my limit already and can't add any more! I'm using the trial of the business premium & love the geofencing/clock-in feature, however, I found that if you accidently clock out, you cannot edit the clock out or clock back in until your next shift. There should be a way to edit the clock-out like there is the clock-in.

Mostly good. Works well, but would benefit from newer features
Pros: Color coding employees, moving around schedules, able to print out month worth of shifts
Cons: Unable to assign admin employees, rotating matrix is hard, cant make our short days part of the set schedule
