Great, and easy to use overall, been a real help with my business over the last year. It keeps on improving also as time goes on!
Pros: Good customer support, ease of use overall, can make quick recipes and recipe collections via pdf and your own branding.
Cons: Sometimes there is some glitches and it will delete all saved recipes or when changing portion sizes it wont update the ingrediant list properly.

Overall, it's a good program to assist with meal planning for clients and ensuring clients get the correct nutrient breakdowns required.
Pros: The client has access to their plans via the app and is able to manage their meal plan. The program is well priced for the features it delivers and easy to move between tiers. Customer support is quick if there's a question.
Cons: It takes time to learn how to navigate and can be time consuming until you get the hang of it. The client app can be overwhelming for those who are after simple meals.

They charged me for 6 months before my free trial ended. Then refused to give me the entire amount back.
Pros: Compared to other similar platforms, I think it’s lacking and it’s very slow. Only thing good may be payment integration.
Cons: They took my money before the free trial ended and would not give me the full amount back. I’m not sure how it’s legal

It is my FAVORITE nutrition planning app I’ve found so far! Great meal choices. Some things I love are the fact that your clients can download an app and you can see their food choices and you can message back and forth.
Pros: I absolutely love the meal planning! It has such a wide variety of food options and I love the 2 way chat between me and my clients!
Cons: I’m having trouble creating my own meals and finding products to add for snacks and things. I’d like this area to be more user friendly.

Brilliant, quick, easy and saves me lots of time . Would defo recommend this to anyone who does nutrition
Pros: How quickly you can create a meal plan, the meals are very good and a wide variety. The meal plans look very proffesional
Cons: Sometimes system does coincide with the app which can be quite frustrating at times but seem to be getting better

Easy to use, but gives a professional look on plans and booklets. Help support your business with pdf files
Pros: Easy to use & very professional meal planning platform. Simple to create and download or even load a client
Cons: Limited simple recipes. Great to have pre made meals that are simple to add as snacks e.g protein bars, pre made tuna and crackers

It has been a great experience so far. I haven't tried all the features but look forward to getting into it.
Pros: Making meal plans for clients is extremely easy. I love that you can automatically or manually swap meals. The database is huge and the images for each recipe look great.
Cons: I'd like it to show an overall macro count for each day when programming different foods for each day of the week rather than a weekly average.

Pros: Fast and detailed customer care Great editable and customizable features Dynamic grocery lists that update with meal selections

So far i have enjoyed my experience with Foodzilla but still exploring and trying to get to know the website. Whenever i have a question or concern i email the support team and they get back to me within an hour or two which is so helpful.
Pros: Lots of options for client and health professional within one website/app. Downloadable app for clients. So many meal plans and recipes that cater for all diverse diets.
Cons: The starter plan only allows up to 5 clients before having to upgrade to the next plan. It is not an Australian based website.

I have enjoyed using Foodzilla for my clients and trying the recipes myself. It has a great range of foods and meals to choose from and flexible ways of tracking. The nutrition data has also been helpful for further tailoring client’s needs, without over-complicating it.
Pros: Customer support was great, issues were solved quickly and completely. The app takes a bit of getting used to for tracking (feedback from clients) but once they get going, it is quite user-friendly. As a coach, I love the ease of meal planning and inspiration from the recipes.
Cons: Some of the recipe data is incorrect and the auto changes when altering recipe serving sizes needs to be checked before publishing to clients. Some of the calorie output for custom meals has been inconsistent.

Overall a good experience, I would definitely recommend this software app to nutritionists, health coaches and personal trainers.
Pros: I like the simplicity of the app and easy lay out of the recipes and meals plans. Also how easy it is to personalize client plans.
Cons: In the past, sometimes the app has crashed but the Foodzilla team are so quick to fix any issues when contacted.

Even before launching my own branded app with clients, and while testing all the amazing features, Foodzilla has already changed how I work behind the scenes. It saves time, reduces overwhelm, and makes recipe and meal plan creation fun again. I can see why so many coaches rave about it — it’s thoughtfully designed, highly flexible, constantly improving, and backed by excellent support. I can’t wait to roll it out to clients under my Lean Plant-Based brand.
Pros: Foodzilla is easily the best meal planning and nutrition platform I’ve ever tested — clean, powerful, fast, and surprisingly intuitive. It's a keeper for me because I know it's what my clients want. While building my recipe library and meal plans, I’m blown away by how seamlessly organising, customising, and analysing everything feels. It’s a dream for data-driven coaches who care about detail and client experience. Customer support and tech support are also outstanding, so you feel like the team always has your back.
Cons: Honestly, nothing major so far. Every time I think "oh, I wish it could do this or that..." there's an update from the developers, and they've made it happen! Looking forward to more fitness and PT features as they roll out.

I am enjoying foodzilla and I can feel that they are constantly improving and listening to customers. I am looking forward to seeing the new features of meal plan subscriptions etc.
Pros: Customer Support is amazing. I always get quick and helpful responses. The Foodzilla team is always there to help you when you need it.
Cons: One thing I have come across is when making recipes from foodzilla data, the cup measurements are in 3 options 150g, 200g, 250g. It would be good to have these in the amount of grams that the food would actually weight if it were a cup. This would be easier to make recipes and easier for clients. eg. 1 cup of dry oats would be more like 90g not 250. But it is easier to say add 1 cup rather than 90 grams.

Easy to use, update and if you need any help customer service is all over it! Fantastic recipes and pictures to add.
Pros: The customer service, easy to get hold of they knowledgeable and lovely to chat too ☺️ Thanks [sensitive content hidden] for your quick responses!
Cons: Nothing, I love it! There is nothing that I don’t like. It updates quickly, templates are great, easy to use and update.

Extremely poor, very disappointed. When i was having issues customer service was fast to reply. But when resolving those issues their updates caused more problems. Too many problems to name. When asking for a refund as a small business who had to then pay another app to do the job for my clients they said "once they have processed a payment they cant refund it". As a small business owner i had to fork out $140 in 1 week to pay for apps. This is beyond disappointing for an app that is supposed to be specifically for Nutritionists and dietitians.
Pros: Nothing, the app is terribly designed. Clients had negative experiances with the app, customer service provided "updates" for the app that caused more problems then what it had before
Cons: Glitchy, app freezes, recipies are poorly written. Recipies had wrong measurments. Shopping list had wrong generation and clients would be meal prepping and already run out of chicken and had 3 more recipies with chicken. Clients couldnt edit their meal plans themselves, when the update was released to fix this problem, it did fix the problem but it also caused the rest of the app to then glitch every time you would press 2 buttons. It would shut down and youd have to restart. Food tracking is terrible. You would be better of getting the free my fitness pal.

Great!! At first I had started with the trial I didn't make use of it at all. My free trial had ended was charged due to not canceling, as they state you need to do so if you wish to not continue. I was exploring other Free trials in other programs simultaneously and thought I had found the one I was going to use. Since I had automatically gotten charged (due to me not canceling after free trial my fault), I figured I would use what I paid for. Oh meanwhile I had contact support and stated I wanted to cancel after my 3 months of paid subscription was done. Long story short I ended up LOVING the platform!! I am currently continuing to use Foodzilla and have actually upgraded my subscription!!
Pros: The presentation is of the plan to the client is well organized! My clients love it! The auto generated recipes give me a head start on competing the plans in a timely manner along with the easy ability to swap out anything needed.
Cons: The section where it calculates energy in and energy out. It would be great if I could add in the clients BMR and based off of the individuals BMR have it calculate the energy out based on a goal weight and activity level. Although I could be completely using this feature inappropriately as I have not watched any tutorials on it.

Pros: Have just started with Foodzilla and the level of service has been AMAZING! They have helped me out so much.
Cons: None yet as only just starting with it now with our members at our gym.
Alex H. · Owner and Trainer · Health, Wellness and Fitness · November 8, 2024
Pros: I loved the aesthetics of foodzilla and relatively easy learning curve. The features (if they worked) would be world class. And the price would have been good value...again if it worked.
Cons: $56

Overall the experience using Foodzilla has been fun! I really enjoy the app and it has been a great asset to my business. It is easy to use for both myself and my clients and I thoroughly enjoy every day I am able to utilise this within my business. My clients appreciate the ease of use and set up also so it really adds to their enjoyable experience with both my program and the Foodzilla app!
Pros: The ease of use for both myself and my clients. The customer service is exceptional and exceeds expectations. Your replies are prompt and personalised and that is very much appreciated.
Cons: There isn't much I would say I don't like about Foodzilla at all, the datatbase is broad and the app has inbuilt most of the services and tools I use already to help my clients. Not to mention each month the app has ample improvements and additions which is so needed and a must to grow in the health and fitness industry! :)

Pros: I like the database of recipes, the fact you can save your favorites, but also have the option to search the web or use Foodzillas nutrition and dietetics database too is great.
Cons: The thing that I find frustrating is when I have spent quite a while changing a template to exactly what I need (ie. different tags and requirements, lower carb, lower calorie etc), it then comes up with an error message in saving. The good thing is the customer response to my requests and needs has been exemplary.

So far so good, this seems to solve my business needs when it comes to delivering nutrition plans to clients. Although at first glance it seemed a bit messy it is actually quiet easy to work around and creating plans is simple.
Pros: I'm only on the free trial at the moment but all looks good. I like that you can create your own meal plan or auto generate one. Its critical to my business that i can easily produce nutrition plans and quickly Foodzilla delivers on that. For me this seems to combine many of the best features of its competition.
Cons: At an initial glance the main dashboard was a bit confusing, It seemed a bit messy to me, but i soon worked my way around it. Some of the food in the auto generated plans are a bit out there 'Spinach sandwich'

I have been able to communicate really easily with the team at Foodzilla and they have done their best to fix or add features. Love supporting a small business with big ideas
Pros: I love how I can plan a patients meals and shopping list with ease.
Cons: Would love it to be able to integrate with Halaxy.
Leah R. · Everything · Alternative Medicine · April 11, 2023
I think foodzilla is very well designed, just needs a few tweaks, as mentioned above.
Pros: I like the ability to customise meal plans and the pre-calculations foodzilla completes with shopping lists.
Cons: I wish i could ass pictures of food brands i would like clients to purchase. I believe there needs to be the Australian food database added.
