Practice Mate

Pros: Practice Mate is very user-friendly! If there is any confusion at all, the Customer Service Team at Office Ally clears it up, swiftly.

Cons: Sometimes the transition between screens lags, and other times an insurance claim will go through more than once. This results in claims being rejected as "Duplicates," when in fact, they were inputted only once.

Pros: Easy billing excellent value for money fast reliable system I have been using for several years and wouldn’t change

Cons: It is really very easy system nothing to not like here even my staff loves it computer techies can cut back on few steps eventually but I love ve it

Pros: Ease of entering and finding section I needed - easily read and organized appropriately. Cues were good as well.

Cons: Slow sometimes but may have been my internet or my older computer, does not happen often but occasionally

Pros: I have been using practice mate for years to do my mental health practice billing! It is easy to navigate and use even for someone like me who is NOT tech savvy.

Cons: I won't lie, I like the older classic version than the newer version but that is only because I did not want to take the time to learn how to navigate the newer version. For tech savvy people this would be a really useful tool to help manage a practice.

Pros: I feel it is a User friendly program, it has helpful staff, expanding and getting better as needs grow,

Cons: I feel the Secondary claim process is a little tricky to understand and it is often challenging to get someone on the phone quickly

Pros: This is a great service for medical billing and scheduling with a great value for money. Easy to use.

Cons: Not easy to use on the phone. This practice mate need to update or enhance the application on the phone usage.

Pros: The learning curve is very simple. The efficiency of submitting my claims each week is phenomenal. I have great back up if there’s any question as to what was submitted. It makes billing easy and following up with my clients very easy.

Cons: Not much. The only thing I would say is that you have to be very precise clicking on some of the pieces so it can be a little tedious, but other than that, there’s nothing I can say that’s not absolutely positive

Pros: Once I learned practice mate, it name quite easy to use and I have rarely had a problem that could not be fixed. Customer service has been fantastic, though I have rarely needed it. I love doing my own billing!

Cons: I was a little concerned when the rates were raised twice in a year and am hoping that they stay stable. I have gotten several others to use Practice Mate and successfully trained them on it. I am very grateful.

Pros: Easier to learn that most other systems I’ve used. There is a little bit of a learning curve with any new system but for me most of the system made sense immediately and the other 20% I had the hang of within 8 wks of using it. Theres a reason why I’ve been using them for the last decade. The phone support is amazing and not only helps you resolve any challenges you’re having but helps you learn how to avoid it repeating. The template for diagnosis, CPT codes, POS and modifiers are very easy to set up and saves a lot of time. No other system has been as efficient in this area. They’ve added a video library that can help you not only learn how to use the software but it’s there 24/7 when you do need to fix a mistake you made. That is a time saver as well.

Cons: The non par list of insurance companies can be pricy depending on how many non par insurance companies you bill.

Pros: Practice Mate makes it easy to set up patient profiles and verify coverage. Submitting claims for recurring patients is a breeze and save me a lot of money.

Cons: I can’t think of any negative aspects of Practice Mate. It’s easy to use, has all the capabilities I need to submit claims and the customer service is great.

Pros: It is extremely user friendly. No software platform carries more value for the money and scaled efficiencies to make life easy in a complicated industry. It truly removes the mind-reeling complex formats of other platforms.

Cons: I really can't offer any one thing that is outstanding. Not even at its inception did we encounter issues that were insurmountable.

Pros: Accurate, user-friendly software supported by responsive, high‑quality customer service that enhances every interaction, thank you!

Cons: Inaccurate ticklers. For example, in sending in a prescription for a medicine, a pop-up advises to use caution during "infection" and the patient does not have or never did have an infection. Not necessarily a criticism, just curious why that pops up...

Pros: Overall it is very easy to use. It makes billing quick and easy. I appreciate the fact that secondary insurances are billed automatically.

Cons: Several times a payment has shown up in my checking account, but the info does not show up on the accounting page, so I can’t identify which patient to credit the payment to.

Pros: I like the new look of the application and how easy it is to submit insurance claims. I also like the quick feedback if a claim was submitted incorrectly as well.

Cons: What I like least is how cumbersome it is to add new patients: the process is a bit tedious and it takes longer than other sites I use.

Pros: Very very easy to use and efficient. There is a minimal learning curve, but once you do learn you realize how much is available to work with.

Cons: I haven't had a negative experience thus far and I've used this for quite a few years. I think the only thing I like least about practice mate is when the password expires there's no warning and if you're somewhere and can't remember your password you're in trouble.

Pros: I like that it has a user friendly interface. It also is integrated with Service Mate which I use on a regular basis.

Cons: Practice Mate can only be used while being connected to the internet. There is no offline setting. It can be an issue when the wifi connection goes down.

Pros: Insurance claims are easy to prepare and file. Great value for the money and security has been great. I like that I can customize areas to fit my specific needs.

Cons: I have nothing negative to say about Office Ally, even customer service is quick to respond and helpful.

Pros: The ease of use for billing and insurance claims makes me use this above all others. I like the EOB being 835 straight to my Eclipse

Cons: I like the classic look over the new format but luckily they can let you switch between the two and that helps

Pros: Our office has been using Practice Mate for nearly 8 years. It is easy to learn. Office Ally continues to update their security to avoid hacking. It is still the least expensive and most effective product for a small practice. We submit claims, track authorization, and prepare patients' bills. Office Ally is quick to combat system issues.

Cons: While Practice Mate has grown, their customer service could use more training on trouble shooting problems brought to their attention.

Pros: I'm an LICSW Private Practice therapist in MA. For 20 years, I've used Practice Mate to organize and manage patients' information for billing to insurance companies. If I have address or insurance company changes, it's easy to go into Practice Mate to update with correct information. Practice Mate secures patient information online and is a good value for the monthly, deductible payment, which I appreciate and trust.

Cons: I can't say that there's anything that I disliked about Practice Mate. If I have questions and call customer service, technicians are helpful and work with me to help me understand more about the Practice Mate system and how to resolve an issue.

Pros: Practice mate is so user friendly. I have tried to work with others and this by far is the easiest and the fact that it is an all in one is the best.

Cons: I do still have glitch issues. Sometimes the system with create a second claim or freezes up but not often.

Pros: I've used Office Ally's Practice Mate since 2008. While I have always loved it because of its low cost and value for the money, I was recently impressed with the level of security that Office Ally has for its products. I can submit all insurance claims, prepare billing statements; it has been an invaluable product for my private practice management.

Cons: A con for some but not me, is that there might be limited features or functionality but I haven't run into that for my needs.
