Overall, Cloudflare delivers reliable security, speed, and easy site management. There is room for improvement but it is a good software.
Pros: I use Cloudflare for all of my client websites, and it’s been a huge asset. Their security features help protect sites from threats and attacks, giving both me and my clients peace of mind. Beyond security, the performance improvements are noticeable—faster load times and better overall reliability. I also appreciate how easy it is to manage DNS, caching, and other settings in one place. It’s a dependable platform that adds real value to every site I manage, and I consistently recommend it to anyone serious about website performance and protection.
Cons: One downside of Cloudflare is that its bot protection can sometimes flag real users as suspicious, triggering verification challenges and making it harder for legitimate visitors to access a website.

Veyr positive on the whole, its fully intergrated into all of our web applications now and we very rarely see a downside to it.
Pros: How powerful it can be to reduce load on your server and serve up your web content in a fast and secure way. Super quick to setup basic spam & bot protection, SSL Certificates and WAF.
Cons: Sometimes Cloudflare will be over protective with its security features and will change what their peraminiters are so it can lead to false positives sometimes.

Overall, it's a slick platform. I think that the way to improve it is to extend the reliability (although, I realize it's basically all of the way there already)
Pros: Cloudflare is very convenient for dns management. We found it more reliable than Godaddy for our domain names. I appreciate the 'actively being hacked' mode that you can turn on to prevent traffic.
Cons: There was a major cloudflare outage that happened which left us hanging (and all of our customers) for several hours. That's expensive.

Overall, Cloudflare is a strong choice for small businesses looking for secure and cost-effective DNS management. While there are some setup and troubleshooting challenges, the benefits often outweigh the drawbacks. With a bit of learning upfront, it becomes a highly valuable tool for maintaining a stable and secure online presence.
Pros: Cloudflare has been a reliable solution for managing my small business website’s DNS. I use it to host and control my company’s domain records, and the interface is straightforward and easy to navigate. The built-in DDoS protection provides peace of mind knowing my site is protected from common threats. Overall, it’s an affordable and powerful service that delivers strong performance without requiring deep technical expertise.
Cons: One common issue small businesses face with Cloudflare is the initial learning curve when configuring DNS, especially for those without prior experience. Misconfigured records can lead to website downtime or email delivery issues if not set correctly. Another challenge is understanding proxy settings, which can sometimes interfere with services like direct server access or certain APIs. Additionally, troubleshooting can be difficult when Cloudflare sits between the user and the origin server, making it harder to pinpoint where issues originate.

Easy Account setup,I have created my website with lovable.dev it easily integrate with few clicks and within minustes of Integration my website is launched. No other prompts or demand for fees everything completed with prompts its sheer magic.
Pros: Its allow user to create account easily While Setting up my website with cloudflare I need reliable free hosting company to launch my website. It helps me to save my lot of money as it handles DNS management, Provides free SSL certificate, actually it give me enterprise level security and performance My website is [sensitive content hidden]
Cons: The dashboard is overwhelming as it packed with many many advance features, as when I look to manage my basic DNS records standard security learning it with YouTube etc. is very time consuming steep.

Once you overcome the learning curve, Cloudflare becomes an essential and valuable addition to your online. It not only provides security, but also improves performance. It is a win-win on both fronts.
Pros: Cloudflare has been a great addition to protect our websites from DDoS attacks, as well as providing performance improvements through global content delivery. Once set up, Cloudflare works seemlessly in the background. The free plans are quite generous, even including SSL.
Cons: Set up and configuration can be complex, but it is ok once you overcome the learning curve. The enterprise plans can get expensive.

Pros: "Set and Forget" Security, Unmatched Global Performance (CDN), The "Death of the VPN" (Zero Trust), Developer-First Ecosystem, Radical Accessibility & Value
Cons: Support Gap for Non-Enterprise Tiers, Complexity and "Dangerous" Settings, False Positives in Security Rules, Centralization Risks ("The Internet's Single Point of Failure"), Billing and Plan Limitations

Excellent. They gave me what I needed. I had switched after adobe business catalyst went out of service. Cloudflare was much better.
Pros: It was good value for my mo ey. They hosted my site and I used word press to build. Customer support was timely, effective and easy to use.
Cons: I had no negative issues. Worked for my needs. I’m a small business and never had any outages. I’d recommend them to anyone needing website hosting.

O Zero ie NO STARS
Pros: not anything it is a useless block for people trying to conduct business.
Cons: block for no reason. no assistance to correct block. no customer service or way to contact anyone at Cloudflare. very inconsistent with the pages it blocks at a site.

Overall, cloudflare was a little bit of a learning curve in the beginning, but now it is an integral part of our website services.
Pros: Cloudflare is a valuable service to have for your web presence and helps deliver a faster website user experience for our clients, with great features and spam/bot traffic protection.
Cons: Initial setup was challenging, but now, using WPEngine, they have integrated Cloudflare directly and it provides a seamless experience for setting up new websites.
David V. · Lead Developer · Information Technology and Services · January 16, 2026
Never paid so much for a service and experienced no support. Some features on the website, like receiving a F2A token to access your account also does also not work.
Pros: NOTHING > rather choose the CDN called Bunny.net as they are faster and more affordable. There is absulutley nothing good to say about this business.
Cons: On a Pro plan, you wait days for support to answer, if they even do. They are also overpriced compared to a better CDN called bunny.net

Pros: Cloudflare is a really complete platform. The bot protection is fully configurable, as well as the WAF. You can create a lot of different rules to do exactly what you want. The offers are really cheap: the free plan is really generous, as well as the pro and business plans.
Cons: The CloudFlare support is really slow when you have a Free or Pro subscription . Also, the billing system sometimes have issue and you need to contact support.

We use it for loading speed. We host over 100, and those that work with CloudFlair have faster loading times, improving overall SEO
Pros: the idea that website will load faster and offers protection from internet issue, like DOS attacks. Because of the way it distribute traffic, it helps with load balancing, and improves reliably.
Cons: If their service goes down, our site has gone down even if our own webserver is fine. There are some compatibility issues, but difficult to pinpoint

Very good experience with Cloudflare. We have a lot of websites and our admins can configure it very easily.
Pros: There are a lot of free options and tools No downtime on years with Cloudflare Very good bot protection Cheap
Cons: Need skills to configure some options Very slow customer support Some bugs with DNS (need to clear and re-add it)
François B. · Digital projects · Retail · September 19, 2025
Pros: I am BIG on Cybersecurity and Cloudflare is the best. I remember reading an article about how they were able to fend of the largest DDOS attack in history and I am not surprised. For $25 a month I get full domain protection and they have build in ruleset that stop attacks and I am able to use my own rules sets as well. I love all the features. I can even Livestream and have a secure cloud service of my videos with them for just an additional 5-10 dollars per month is
Cons: What I like least is that you can't contact customer support during an attack unless you have the business plan which is $250 per month
Daniel R. S. · Founder · Computer Software · September 15, 2025
Reduced bot-initiated service disruption, and cached content loads quicker, enabling smooth booking and media delivery across locations.
Pros: Bot rules block all the bulk traffic to our booking and streaming pages, and the CDN enhances international visitors' page speed.
Cons: Steep learning curve, and assistance is delayed on troubleshoots for custom firewall rules. Without that issue i found everything good.
David R. · Dive Operation Manager · Leisure, Travel & Tourism · August 29, 2025
My overall experience with Cloudflare has been perfect for my website and business needs. Once I set it up, it practically runs itself.
Pros: What I like most about Cloudflare is its easy connectivity and website integration for my multiple websites.
Cons: Cloudflare has a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out, it makes a big difference in your website.
Jamie L. · Owner · Child Day Care Services · August 29, 2025
Shaved us 40% off bandwidth expense and removed most bot attacks to our streaming media. Wonderful value at $20/month for our traffic level, though rollout took three weeks for our tech staff to implement to perfection.
Pros: Bot protection prevents our video streams from being successfully scraped by attackers. Auto-rules deflect 95% of unwanted traffic without manual tuning, and CDN accelerates our large media files to global audiences.
Cons: Steep learning curve exists for advanced configurations, and customer support lags days for challenging configuration issues.
Jaison M. · Production Manager · Media Production · August 20, 2025
Pros: It runs in the background, and I never need to think about it. No learning curve or bugs and issues.
Cons: Can't say there's anything I dislike it. I trust it to do its job. Have never had to lift a finger to do extra work here.
Jacob W. · Account Executive · Internet · August 5, 2025
Very handy and powerful. Covers most of what you will need, and any support you need is understood well by LLMs.
Pros: DDoS protection works very well. R2 works just fine as a cheap S3 replacement, and cloudflare workers have been handy for cheap compute (PDF generation in our case). Security Center dashboard gives a good high-level overview of security/config issues to pay attention to.
Cons: Difficult learning curve for someone new to Cloudflare. Cloudflare workers pricing recently underwent a change potentially resulting in new charges for our existing use case.
Paul P. · Head of Engineering · Financial Services · July 28, 2025
We found the DDoS spikes were causing repeated down time that Cloudflare helped prevent. It also reduced the number of spam form submissions, making our support inbox cleaner.
Pros: I love that our website is now super fast also that we get automatic protection against stupid bot attacks. It’s also a quiet runner in the background and keeps the glide working without needing a whole lot of hands-on time.
Cons: Dashboard is confusing if you’re not technical. Some of the settings feel dangerous to touch without fully understanding what they do.
Tim G. · Customer Service Executive · Civil Engineering · July 21, 2025
Perfect, no complaints. WE use them on all of of our sites. We especially use them as our domain registrar for all the sites.
Pros: The amazing number of resources and service, even in the free plan! They have all the bases covered to secure your site, and make purr like a cat!
Cons: Very little, if anything. Multiple thumbs up to a professional and dedicated service provider. Recommend them to anyone and everyone!
Daniel A. · Founder and CEO · Information Technology and Services · July 4, 2025
It was okay. I wasn't happy about the long installation. It comes basic and you have to expand from there.
Pros: I liked the customer service help, the ease of installation. It took a bit to set up but ran good after.
Cons: Looong set up, it was tedious because you need to download alot of defenses because its basic and not included.
Keith O. · Owner · Computer Hardware · June 20, 2025
Overall it's been an excellent partnership and I foresee continued use of Cloudflare to protect my website.
Pros: Cloudflare has provided a valuable tool to protect my website from harmful outside threats and attacks.
Cons: Sometimes, it can be difficult to integrate new requirements into the existing setup within Cloudflare.
Daniel A. · Digital Content Creator · Higher Education · June 17, 2025
Pros: After a disastrous experience with our existing DNS provider (Crazy Domains), which, after 6 hours, couldn't even provide any information on when their service would be up and running again, we switched to Cloudflare, and the re-routing was instant. So totally recommended. We advise creating an account with these guys, so if you need to use them in a hurry, everything is all set.
Cons: Everything's amazing, definitely would give them a five-star review
