Ottima esperienza complessiva.

I used Zabbix for around four years to monitor both our internal and client infrastructure across many cloud providers.
Pros: It's open source and very to deploy via Docker, with minimal agent setup on the individual host machines
Cons: There's a little bit of a learning curve compared to the paid for services but there's plenty of community support and documentation.

Excellent. If something doesn't work, the reason is almost always between the keyboard and the chair.
Pros: Very easy to get started, will scale from home monitoring to global scale. No need to know much about monitoring, you can go far with "learning on the go". Possibilities are almost endless, you will run out hosts first. Zabbix is free for life, so getting started and seeing if it would fit your requirements is easy and risk free. No time limits or stripped features! Zabbix community is excellent. You can extend your expertise with the community forums. It's easy to get involved, too. Getting certified is an option as well.
Cons: Local installation requires some database, which makes it a bit more complicated than simple clicking, but the Cloud version fixes that, too.

Im a Zabbix fan and I use it at my work for professional purposes and also in free time for DIY IoT projects. I often recommend Zabbix to everyone who needs to monitor any kind of information, not just IT related.
Pros: I like the fact that its open source and adjustable for my needs. I can create my own modules and changes as I or as my users want.
Cons: Lack of some features like filtering information that has entire data overview and often official documentation is not enough. I love to se real examples how to do something and not just raw docs.

We are currently testing and evaluating zabbix. So far all my technicians happy with the product and are looking forward to working with it as a main tool.
Pros: The fact that it is open source, it will have a positive effect on our budget and free up resources for staff training and other investments that in turn will positively impact out Zabbix utilization
Cons: We are currently evaluating and testing the implementation, so far we have not run into any serious issues.

Developing custom UI for zabbix problems, where customer wanted specific UI. And developing custom reporting tool.
Pros: Customizability, where I can monitor every single thing my mind can come up with. Just script and output what i need and im good.
Cons: Database structure. When i need to combine e.g. metrics from same interface alias, utilization etc... its real pain in the ass to get thousands of interfaces and all their metrics in one place.

Great, Zabbix relaly helped managing and monitoring HT IP infrastructure. With local intetgrator SedaIT and lot of custiomization on reporting part
Pros: Opesnosource ans possibilities to devlop thing foe local needs
Cons: Searching the network interfaces, and default results for dashboards.

It is very good and I think it is the best monitoring program right now. Much better than SCCM or WhatsUp Gold.
Pros: The ability to monitor anything. If something can output something you can get it into Zabbix and alert on it!
Cons: Be able trigger an alert on discovery and not after first the time it gets a value. It would be very nice to be able to trigger on discovery.

Well, I am working with Zabbix for almost 4 years and I am happy that I can still be challenged by development of new templates for example. Also I am looking forward at zabbix direction in next 5 years, because observability is my main target right now
Pros: In my case - it was possibilities and a fresh look at other sides of IT, because in my sides IT was mostly described in 3-was - Networking, administer and also programming
Cons: I had problems with event driven triggers, im looking forward to make this issue a little bit better

I'm Zabbix Certified Trainer with ~10 years of experience. I provided a lot of implementation of Zabbix in more than 30 enterprise customers.
Pros: That this is a open source software which are listening its own community. I personally provided one feature which was included to Zabbix 7.0 LTS. So that was nice :)
Cons: Visualizations are quite not flexible. It could be more complex and it should provides transformations of colected values.

It's great, definitely suggest it. If you are willing to learn a lot and maintain it yourself in exchange for having a free on-prem solution, I think the trade-off is worth it.
Pros: Zabbix is amazing. It's free open source software for monitoring IT infrastructure. I use it to track the health of my office laptops, router, network switches, everything. The web UI dashboard is easy to read and you can configure email notifications, which I have turned into helpdesk tickets for me to review by sending to my Helpdesk's email address.
Cons: It's definately a learning experience if you haven't used something like this before (which I hadn't). You have to learn about SNMP, managing the templates for the devices you want to monitor, setting up the hosts one-by-one for monitoring or using the scanner option and then tweaking what it finds. It's a lot to do at first but the reward is now I typically know about an issue in the office before anyone else even notices it, much less sends me a ticket about it. If you are multi-office it may be more than you want to undertake. Yes you can setup Proxies and connect them, but if you manage lots of locations you may want to look at something cloud hosted at that point? I feel the strength is managing on-prem with this solution.

Zabbix is one of the best freeware services I have used in my career I would highly reccomend it to anyone wishing to monitor what is going on within their network
Pros: it is a fully customisable monitoring solution that via templates lets you monitor a wide variety of metrics and drill down into specifics for getting exact times and dates of outages and regular stopping of services that are required to be monitored
Cons: You have to build the entire dashboards yourself which if you have no prior knoweledge of how the system work can be ovwerwhelming
Adam R. · Server Engineer · Information Technology and Services · June 2, 2025
I love it and would deploy Zabbix time and time again. I love being able to have nice visualizations as well as extensibility, plus having "proxy" servers at each location allows for me to ensure that even if a site goes down I still have metrics to reference once it gets sent to the server.
Pros: I absolutely love the extensibility that comes from Zabbix. Theres an absolute ton of templates that make the "cost of entry" quite low for the tranditional things you may want to monitor (CPU, Memory, Networking, etc) but allows for monitoring things that may be more complex as well.
Cons: There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to Zabbix. It can be quite daunting and sometimes its difficult to understand what you may need to look for in their documentation.

Pros: Very granular, robust, once configured it works really really well. Website monitoring, server monitoring and snmp walk, Open-source, Free
Cons: This software has a very steap learning curve that will take time to setup. Once setup, it runs flawlessly.

As a monitoring tool just do the job for free. Is fast and can be use to monitoring different sites via proxy
Pros: I'm using Zabbix from 2012. And the checks that I write in 2012 still working. Write once use forever.
Cons: every time that zabbix get a major upgrade you need tom learn where to find the options. There is Always a menu change

Zabbix is a perfect place for monitoring solutions. It gives ease to monitor and see the availability of important servers and devices. Deployment and management is absolutely a simple job. All we need to work on graphs to see and analyze the data which is also not a big deal.
Pros: 1. An open-source platform that is worth considering for monitoring device availability. 2. Large number of support communities. 3. Simple and easy setup to start and understand. A single plane navigation for a number of devices together with a good performance.
Cons: 1. Not very much automated which is a necessity now, manual script and work required. 2. There are issues with data collection timing and accuracy, occasionally causing delays between the displayed information and actual events.
Agnoor G. · Associate Engineer · Information Technology and Services · February 17, 2025
Very flexible and highly customizable product for monitoring and analyzing logs. We can easily configure alerts on emails as well. Simplifies installation and setup. Although the product experience is good enough.
Pros: 1. Perfectly designed and user-friendly interface. 2. We can easily integrate this with other products to perform cloud monitor. 3. Visual representation of data in the form of graphs is one of the best factor using this product.
Cons: 1. Need more manual work to do after changing small information as there is no auto-populating of changes like config file change, or hostname change. 2. UI is a little outdated and slow as well.

A good product that is great in teh right organsation
Pros: Zabbix is a very powerful tool in the right hands
Cons: It's a steep learning curve to both install and configure Zabbix especially when you need to do custom sensors
Anonymous User · Infrastructure Engineer · Education Management · February 10, 2025
The product gives freedom for customization, and integration which is a good part. The learning process is not at all difficult as it is full works with graphs. There can be improved by introducing AI to track the things more.
Pros: 1. It gives in-depth informational logs to monitor every asset in real-time. 2. The dashboard and graphs are just superb to monitor every traffic ports. 3. Easy integeration and very much budget friendly as well for small organziations.
Cons: 1. Little issues while generating alerts. The timeline of alert and captured data shows difference many times. It won't IOS device which is also a crucial for our work.

Great, it's easy to deploy, and very intuitive. A great community to help as well and you're able to meet all your business needs for monitoring and dashboarding in one centralised product.
Pros: The most effective monitoring solution you can get for free - Great integrations and dashboarding, with some very advanced features such as dynamic dashboards and alerting.
Cons: Maintaining Zabbix in and of itself is more challenging, as a self hosted service, it is on the administrator to find modules or templates and these do not always work.
Sam W. · Infrastructure Engineer · Airlines/Aviation · January 20, 2025
Pros: Molto scalabile, facilità d'uso e diversi strumenti a disposizione
Cons: molti strumenti a disposizione ma alcuni avevano bisogno di essere aggiornati secondo me
Dario P. · tecnico it · Computer Software · January 17, 2025
Fantastic tool that is setup to monitor and alert on all our hosts and APIs.
Pros: Beats many/most SaaS monitoring tools with zero cost as an open source platform. Has a native agent for many OSs that can be deployed easily. We use Zabbix to monitor our systems in a data center and cloud all with a single dashboard. Can be extended to use Web Scenarios which will performance monitor systems/connectivity, too. Probably the best open source tool for monitoring on the market.
Cons: You need to host it yourself and setup does take some time to get all systems monitoring and dashboards created. (The tool does have a find feature so it will auto import most systems on your network or VPC so that gives a good starting place).

Using Zabbix is quite easy and effective to monitor the environment with proper graphical records and the cost is also good to consider. The support community is big and knowledgable.
Pros: 1. Documentation and community is wide and extremely helpful. 2. Extremely easy deployment and usage. 3. Dashboard is power of this platform and proper graphical orientation.
Cons: 1. Slow working and alerting. 2. Integration is sometime difficult as manual scripts are needed.

Zabbix server can be one of the best tools in your IT arsenal, but it does come with quite a steep learning curve. It's an open-source tool, so it does take a lot more time and patience to configure and setup the way you want it to be, but there are a lot of great documentation sites out there including Zabbix's own. Not to mention they have some paid for training courses with certifications, which is awesome. If you spend the time to properly read up on Zabbix and get it setup the way you need it to, I promise you won't regret not paying for an off the shelf SaaS solution.
Pros: It's open-source! What isn't to love about a high quality, highly configurable, high functioning IT management tool that is 100% free. Besides the fact that it's open-source and free, the Zabbix platform is incredibly configurable, meaning it's not one shoe fits all. It can be 100% customised to work for your specific needs in your unique business/IT setup.
Cons: The only thing I would really like, is an officially supported Zabbix mobile app. Although some awesome developer out there has done one themselves, which I've used in the past, one that was properly supported and integrated securely with Zabbix itself would be amazing as someone in IT on the go.
Rian S. · Head of IT · Luxury Goods & Jewelry · October 17, 2024
Pros: The single best thing about zabbix is that it's completely free but without lacking anything compared to commercial monitoring tools. It covers pretty much everything from windows servers, esxi servers, HTTP endpoints till our UPS. It produces meaningful graphs and has triggers for each alert. Also it integrates with a lot of tools like Pagerduty to receive alerts. Overall its a complete enterprize level monitoring solution for the infrastructure
Cons: I would say zabbix has 2 downsides. The first is that you need to configure everything and it can be intimidating if you are not experienced user and the second is the web scenarios for http endpoint monitoring isnt neither great nor straightforward.
