Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Tebra. I am glad I gave them a chance. I almost cancelled my appointment with the sales representative, [sensitive content hidden] but I am so glad that I didn't. If I had cancelled my meeting with [sensitive content hidden] I probably would have saved a few bucks (but not much; Tebra is priced much more competitively than some EHRs I looked at) trying to adapt an EHR meant for therapists to a psych med management practice.
Pros: Everything! I'm serious. My first contact with Tebra was through their sales representative, [sensitive content hidden] who showed me all Tebra had to offer. [sensitive content hidden] was interested in helping me and my practice, but wasn't pushy. The onboarding experience has been wonderful! My onboarding specialist, [sensitive content hidden] , has been so helpful and responsive to my needs. The onboarding modules in Tebra University are VERY thorough. I have used other EHRs, and their onboarding processes don't even compare.
Cons: I've had a few small issues with my settings and have had to submit some help tickets for technical support, but nothing major. Tebra's IT department has been remarkably responsive and helpful with resolving these minor issues. The template customization seems to have a bit of a learning curve, but it is definitely manageable. I'm sure I will get better with it over time, it just isn't what I would call "user-friendly." That being said, please don't take it away!

Pros: I have been with Kareo/Tebra since 2019 and have loved the service they provide. It is easy to learn and easy to use. The customer service is always there! The tools are great!

Cons: Honestly, there is not much I don't like. Last year there was an annual fee added on and that was disappointing because it was for a service I do not use, and there was a lot of back and forth to get it resolved.
Jennifer A. · Owner · Mental Health Care · May 18, 2026
As the CEO of a behavioral health organization, our overall experience with Tebra was extremely disappointing and operationally disruptive. While every healthcare technology platform may experience occasional challenges, what became most concerning was the repeated pattern of unresolved issues, poor communication, instability within workflows, and lack of meaningful accountability when serious concerns were escalated. The impact on our organization was substantial financially, operationally, and emotionally for our staff. At times, the instability and lack of support created major strain within a healthcare environment where continuity, efficiency, and patient trust are critical. What ultimately led us to leave the platform was not a single issue, but the cumulative effect of repeated operational problems combined with the inability to obtain consistent, effective support and leadership engagement. Based on our experience, I would not choose to partner with this organization again.
Pros: Initially, Tebra presented itself as an all-in-one platform with appealing promises around practice management, EHR functionality, billing integration, and operational efficiency for healthcare organizations. The concept of having multiple systems integrated under one platform was attractive during the evaluation process.
Cons: Our organization experienced ongoing workflow instability, lagging systems, unreliable reporting between EHR and billing functions, and repeated communication and support failures. Support often lacked continuity and timely follow-through, making issue resolution extremely difficult. We also experienced significant operational strain related to platform reliability, account management, and post-transition communication. Leadership escalation efforts did not result in meaningful resolution or accountability.

Pros: I liked how you can choose which client you wanted when you signed in right away and your providers are all listed right there with their info
Cons: It’s not very user friendly, it’s very finicky and isn’t very forgiving if you press a wrong button. Only management can clean up “mistakes”.
Anna T. · Credentialing Specialist · Health, Wellness and Fitness · April 15, 2026
Overall the training is thorough. Training with no prior experience owing my EHR is a pleasurable onboarding experience with few delays.
Pros: Training is thorough and consistent. Ease of use once you have completed the training makes the process bearable. .
Cons: Going through the verification for SMS was a hinderance. Aliso the cost could be more affordable for a first starter.
Roy C. · Behavioral Therapist · Mental Health Care · April 15, 2026
Great experience getting setup and with onboarding. The manager was patient with me as I navigated the system. Great videos and opportunities for live training.
Pros: Onboarding manager was extremely patient and helpful! Great experience and easy to use. Tebra is a total package EMR to help with billing and payments and patient management for an affordable price! Excited to get started with patients!
Cons: No cons at the present! So far satisfied with Tebra EMR for patient records, appointment setup and billing and payments.
Stacey C. · Nurse Practitioner · Medical Practice · April 11, 2026
My experience with Tebra has been positive. It is organized and easy to use, and it keeps up with the dates.
Pros: Tebra is easy to navigate, and I love how simple it is to input client data. I use Tebra during my internship for school, at my practicum site.
Cons: I personally have no cons with Tebra. I've used Central Reach and by far Tebra is way easier to navigate than Central Reach was.
Chelsea W. · Intern · Mental Health Care · April 7, 2026
Tebra customer service has been great. It has been a great solution for us, overall great value for the money.
Pros: What I love most about Tebra is the speed and intuition of the software from scheduling, documentation and billing. Tebra Clinical is easy to customize. Response time with customer support is great as well. I also love the API access as well, enabling us to extract and drill down on data and build customized reports.
Cons: We sometimes experience glitches in the software, which can cause some frustration with some of our staff. However, nothing that isn't overcome with a little patience.
Eric B. · CEO · Medical Practice · April 6, 2026
Overall Tebra is a positive experience. Promotes fluid work flow. I am able to complete documentation easily.
Pros: Tebra provides an easy work flow. It is very easy to learn to use for a new therapist. It is easy to manage for schedule changes. Accessing patient records is ok.
Cons: I would like to have more felxibility to evaluation report formatting. I would like to be able to use AI support without extra fees.
Christine S. · Speech pathologist · Hospital & Health Care · April 6, 2026
My overall experience with Tebra was very positive. I have used many other EMRs for patient recording. This system was well designed.
Pros: Very user friendly. Easy to navigate system. Many data sections will flow to additional required documentation sections of the EMR
Cons: The only repeated "Con" I could find within the system is that there is No spell check feature on the narrative notes
Joshua G. · Nurse Advocate · Hospital & Health Care · April 6, 2026
My experience with Tebra was great starting with the user friendly interface, navigating across different features with the software wasn't stressful although I needed some minimal training to do so at first. Overtime is I had a smooth run without any further training.
Pros: The presence of it easy interface that didn't require me to do much training before assessing it, as it provides essential tools like medical billing, patient scheduling and EHR in one place enabling easy workflow within my facility. it also enhance communication within my practice and helps keeps patient information organised.
Cons: It's not so obvious that you may need to learn about some certain features in the software before usage, features like Insurance details and claim and how coding workflow is handled, setting up permission and integration using Tebra.
Freya G. · Administrative Staff · Hospital & Health Care · March 19, 2026
AGAINST WHAT I WAS PROMISED WHEN I JOINED THEY SWITCHED US TO BILLING PER CLAIM! They bundle your clearing house billing for a reason.
Pros: Nothing. I initially thought that it was an adequate billing software. I struggled to build reports and to track claims in it.
Cons: The software is very primitive looking. There was never a real update even when they changed the name.
Mahmoud B. · Owner · Medical Practice · March 19, 2026
Often recommend to anyone who contacts me for a recommendation. would not consider changing software for any of my clients. (They ask every year)
Pros: I have been with Tebra since the transition and merger with Kareo. As a small business and billing company I found that Tebra provides a desktop version that allows added dollars to the bottom line. The software is labor saving and competitive with other products offered in the market. I have owned my company for over 25 years. I am pleased with the added enhancements that Tebra has implemented.
Cons: I find that some of the support staff do not always understand the software from a billing perspective. However, with my many years of experience I am able to direct and assist in the area that requires support. The staff has always found the solution to my questions.
Diane S. · Owner · Medical Practice · March 18, 2026
I Love Tebra, as I daily download ERA's from here and post them in our software, this give easy access to day-to-day ERA's and show in categorical wise and provides reviewed and Un reviewed ERA's. Tebra is an easily accessible software for all providers
Pros: Showing ERA's in detail and categorised is very helpful for providers and others to download and verify the information. It is very Easy to Use and Value for Money. Its helps in Managing Patient Records and Claims.
Cons: User Interface of Tebra should be more interactive as it is more like old traditional one. The user interface should be more interactive and helpful for the providers. Also, to report any misiing patient records there should easy way to communicate with the support team immediately.
Anish Kumar T. · Process Associate · Health, Wellness and Fitness · March 17, 2026
Overall is good. The NP's I work for and the staff like the EHR. EHR is easy to understand and navigate. The billing is not!
Pros: The EHR side of tebra is great and easy to use. Anyone that is new to Tebra can learn quickly and efficiently. I also believe it is easy for patients to read their medical records if they request them.
Cons: The billing side is more difficult to understand. I only had about 10 hours of training over the phone when we purchased Tebra; which when we purchased several years ago it was under kareo. The reports do not run like I would like them to. When you have to give someone a list of charges and payments for their HSA card information the patient does not understand what it says. When I run statements... I will put in for specific dates and it never prints just the dates I am asking for. When an insurance issues a "take back"... well lawd it's like an act of congress to post and sooo many steps. As you can tell I do not like the billing side of Tebra near as much as I do the EHR.

My overall experience using Tebra has been great. The platform is easy to use, well organized, and helps make everyday tasks more efficient. It has made managing workflows much smoother. I would definitely recommend Tebra to other practices looking for a reliable and user-friendly system.
Pros: I like how easy it is to use Tebra. The platform is very user-friendly and easy to navigate, which makes daily tasks much smoother and less time-consuming. Everything is organized clearly, so it doesn’t take long to find what you need. Overall, it has made managing work much more efficient and straightforward.
Cons: I honestly have no dislikes when it comes to using Tebra. The platform works smoothly and is very easy to navigate. Everything is organized well, which makes completing tasks simple and efficient. Overall, my experience using Tebra has been very positive.
Angelica C. · medical assistant · Medical Practice · March 16, 2026
Tebra has been a solid platform for streamlining our daily operations. Having both the practice management and patient engagement tools in one place has reduced the need for multiple logins and made it easier to keep track of patient records, billing, and scheduling. The support team has also been responsive when we’ve had questions. It’s a reliable choice for any practice looking to modernize their workflow.
Pros: I really appreciate how easy it is to manage group rosters and provider information in Tebra. As a Credentialing Officer, I frequently need to update provider details and group locations. Tebra makes it simple to add multiple providers at once and ensure that all locations are accurately reflected. The interface is clean and intuitive, which saves our administrative team a lot of time.
Cons: Occasionally, I’d like to see more customization options for reporting, especially when pulling credentialing data for payers. It would also be helpful to have a more detailed audit log for tracking changes made to provider rosters.
Ali M. · Credentialing Executive · Executive Office · February 23, 2026
My overall experience was good. It is a lot to take in but it was explained so I could understand it better.
Pros: I loved that it had you do examples of what we are going over in session. It made it easier to understand.
Cons: The fact that it was time consuming and I hated the quiz at the end of each session. I am not a quiz person.
Amy S. · Medical Assistant · Hospital & Health Care · February 17, 2026
This is so much more than value for the money, ease of record keeping and interface, or managing patient accounts and records. It is about support. It is about supporting the billing and payment roles that can be confusing at times especially if one is new to an EHR. The support that Tebra provides to its customers is beyond top notch, they have never waivered in exploring and networking to find an answer to a question or locating who has what is needed to solve a problem. Tebra has shown time and time again that they are a partner in our success. Tebra University as a support and training tool is invaluable and always available to help us navigate what is new to us. Thank you Tebra for partnering with us!
Pros: Tebra University, customer supports, easy use. There are so many things that are pros such as being able to use one program that meets all of our needs from patient records to billing, it's all there.
Cons: I know I should put something here but honestly there isn't anything that comes to mind. This program is so straight forward and well rounded to cover all areas of our practice that I can't think of anything other than maybe staying open a bit later than 4 pm.
Collette F. · Provider · Mental Health Care · February 16, 2026
Overall, Tebra is a good product to use for Billing, Payments and Patient Records and overall management. I would recommend this product to others.
Pros: Easy to use and navigate through the system. Reliable and great Customer support when we have any issues. Great for Billing insurance and managing patient accounts.
Cons: No real issues. Tebra does offer additional upgrades and can sometimes be a little pricey. However, the upgrades can be beneficial for our needs.
Shay V. · Medical Biller · Medical Practice · February 16, 2026
Going on five years, we wouldn't choose any other EMR service due to the ease of use and value. The technical department is always thorough in trying to resolve issues as they arrive though complex issues seem to take longer than anticipated at times.
Pros: Tebra is easy to use and when support is needed it is generally available quickly and a quick resolution!
Cons: On occasion, it seems there needs to be better communication between Tebra deaprtments when it comes to resolving a complex issue.
Dan G. · Administrator · Medical Practice · February 16, 2026
It is a good program, much better than previous ones I have seen and I am very content with the workflow it allows.
Pros: Very organized, a layout as neat and color as tebra makes workflow much easier. Also better on the eyes.
Cons: I do think the making of appointments could be tweaked. Like making it easier to view existing appointments and edit them without resetting.
Aileen C. · PCL · Health, Wellness and Fitness · February 16, 2026
Excellent! I love the ease and the AI is also quite accurate with very few changes necessary! Customer support is responsive and most the answers are found in a quick Google search which is a wonderful attribute.
Pros: Excellent, affordable, user-friendly product! I looked at quite a few products and Tebra was a clear standout!
Cons: I have no complaints thus far. The billing section has been the most difficult, but I attribute that to my lack of experience rather than the program itself.
Brandy M. · Owner and Provider · Mental Health Care · February 12, 2026
Our overall experience with Tebra has been nothing but positive, from the onboarding experience to the ease of communicating with patients and receiving payments from patients and insurance companies.
Pros: Our office has 1 physician specialist, and we do everything in house including billing. The ease of in-house billing combined with the value for the money was the main reason we chose Tebra. Our practice was losing a lot of money when billing was outsourced to a third party! We have been using Tebra for 8 years and have continued to be impressed with the platform. The customer support is top notch and easy to reach. If the support specialist does not know the answer, which rarely happens, but when it is the case, they do the research and actually get back to you with an answer! Tebra continues to update platform features to keep up with medical office needs including communication with patients and on-line bill pay.
Cons: There is nothing about the platform that our practice does not like. We use both the desktop application and the Tebra app.
Jennifer M. · Authorization and Billing Specialist · Medical Practice · February 2, 2026
All summarized above under Pros. We are very blessed to be users of Tebra EHR software, fit for our needs! I think everyone should be using it.
Pros: We have been using Tebra (formerly Kareo) since we opened our clinic in 2020, going on to 6 yrs now and loving it for multiple reasons: -Best user interface/platforms -Tebra keeps on getting better, as they listen to the users' feedback and act on it without hesitation leading continued to continued improvements and overall satisfaction -Platforms are easy to use and navigate -Great and genuine customer support -Great telehealth set up - Great coomunication with constant updates, new developments, changes, improvements etc -Great clinical notes/procedures etc outlay and secure patient records -All in one service, with KPI displays, easy billing, medical records, patient portal etc - I cannot believe all that I am getting for the price, in other words, great value for the money of great ROI using Tebra platforms
Cons: Thus far I like everything, and encourage Tebra to keep up the great work in line with the emerging AI technology!
