Pros: Tree Plotter is not difficult to utilize and exceptionally natural. The custom elements are extraordinary and the client care is five-star. The extra modules are incredible choices to develop into as we use the Tree Plotter program.
Cons: Since it relies upon a web association, it tends to be slow on the off chance that the association is slow.
Domain confidence 97%

Pros: The software is very easy to use by yourself. Little explanation is needed. And if there is a problem, it has great and fast customer service.
Cons: The software is still developing in some ways. Some changes still need to be implemented in the future. Besides that, the software doesn't do all we would like it to do.

I use the program daily for all kinds of tasks. From permit applications for municipalities to forest track inventories to establish an overall health of said forest and creating accurate plans. The customer service team is fantastic and can help you even is you're out in the field.
Pros: The program is very easy to use and versatile. The integrated GIS software allows you to upload CSV and Shapefiles making survey point sharing easy. The add on options are well designed and tailored to the Arboricultural world. Tree Risk Assessments are a breeze as well as the Appraisal process. The data collected is very thorough and can give you the tools to provide accurate budgets for customers of all sizes.
Cons: I have had issues with the software crashing, you don't loose the software but you do have to log back in and re-open the client site. Really not a big deal and it is probably because I use an older Ipad. I have not had this issue using the program while connected to the WiFi in the office.

Great solution to keep my few accounts informed on what the status of their trees are.
Pros: Mobile use of this product is easy in the field. Robust amount of detail points
Cons: It’s expensive for my application use. I only use it for a handful of properties so it’s hard to justify the cost.

Great and easy to use. Fast learning and accommodation.
Pros: The portability and the high degree of customization.
Cons: Google calendar integration for work orders.

Pros: I love the way that specific data can be used. There is no need for superfluous information to confuse or distract clients. All relevant data can be extracted from the reports and transferred to other documents. Its a very easy system to use. Extremely user friendly. The multi layer maps option allows data to be displayed clearly, particularly when overlaying DWG files...
Cons: On the note of DWG files. There is a limited amount of Coordinate systems that Treeplotter uses. Through experience over the last year, the vast majority of clients either do not attribute coordinate systems or do not use those that Treeplotter recognises. I have lost a lot of valuable time going back and forward with clients and Treeplotters support (who are very helpful)... This can all be done via other CAD programmes but if this could be incorporated into Treeplotter itself, then it would fully be deserving of a great reputation.

Pros: Cloud/real time updating. Ability to manipulate field filters. Time saving features like "load last"
Cons: Using the more advanced features isn't always intuitive, nor is everything available, or easily found via the tutorials. Quick reference guides that don't involve watching a webinar would also be helpful in onboarding someone.

Completed street trees inventory. Used to keep track of ash trees that were treated and when. Able to query when asked questions like how many pin oaks we have.
Pros: Cloud based. Cell phone compatible for query and field data input. Data query capability
Cons: Field data entry was clunky. Had to use alternative method for collection and then import data into Inventory. When in application, scrolling and zooming response disheartening at times.

Pros: Greatest value of this product is capturing the live area that an asset/tree is located so that inspections, identification, etc. can be captured. Maps are more accurate and customizable with filters that are handy for seeing different views. Different map views (Satellite, etc.) are also helpful in various scenarios.
Cons: Layers would be even more beneficial if it was possible to use points, lines, etc.

Great. I am so glad I am using this software.
Pros: Clients receive access to tree data. They can discuss individual trees with arborists, engineers, and architects. Everyone involved knows which tree is being discussed. Software is saving trees in construction sites.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind. Great service reps guided me as I learn this software.

We are hoping to get all park trees entered to create a stronger voice to present tangible value to trees from a management perspective. Love the eco benefits the program generates.
Pros: Tried creating lesser versions of this in-house with no experience using database tools TreePlotter is equipped with more features than we could have hoped for Easy to use, and appreciate the quick response time with any support questions that arise.
Cons: If responding to a text message you get kicked out of the program and have to re-load

Overall I'm very happy with the software. It takes a little while to get used to the interface but once you do it works great. Also I've have nothing but good things to say about the support we've received from Planit Geo, we've always gotten our questions/problems addressed quickly. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been especially helpful with any issues we have run across.
Pros: That it incorporates most aspects of our tree inventory into one piece of software that can be used with any device with an internet connection. I also love the software appearance and that the public can have access to it.
Cons: I wish there was an option to close out a Work Record with out having to add it to a Work Order. It would be great if I could click on a completed Work Record and close it out directly in the Work Record interface. This would be great for when you only have a few WR to close out, the Work Order do would great for other purposes though. Also I wish there was a way I could add my tree orders (number of trees and species) for the year into Tree Plotter and as we plot new trees as Planting Locations, Tree Plotter would automatically deduct each tree we plot from my Tree Order inventory, giving me a running total of the amount of trees I still have available to plant.

My overall excited about this software
Pros: I love the software, it has everything and anything you need for the job.
Cons: No problems at all with software, everything is going smoothly.

It appeared clunky and crashed a lot. Did not seem suitable on apple devives
Pros: The software is holistic and has a number of features we purchases it as it in time was expected to link with our customer service complaints program Pathways
Cons: We were using it on and Apple i -Pad and when using the location set up it crashed numerous times 5-6 per hour. The repeat planting function was inconsistent and did not repeat all the time and I occasionally lost data when it crashed. There was also a lot of double up in the menu set up and the icon set up in process flows could not both change colour and the icon meaning staged works in work orders were as identifiable as some other tree platforms I have used on the screen

Very useful and practical
Pros: Easy to document comprehensive info on individual trees, work conducted and environmental benefits of the trees
Cons: Some features a bit complicated to navigate and can take time downloading
Oraya S. · Coordinator · Environmental Services · June 9, 2020
It simplified our properties tree inventory
Pros: Ease of use. It can bet as technical or as simple as you desire.
Cons: Adding pictures of the tree should be included in the base subscription
RJ C. · Superintendent · Sports · June 8, 2020
Pros: This tool is both functional and easy to use for the purposes of student straining and use. This is useful as well tot he facilities folks who can inherit a support for data-base management. We are very happy with our choice to bring TreePlotter into or course planning and student activities portfolio
Cons: Hard pressed on this point. We have noticed that there needs to be some care in identification as names can be regional, or the listing on-board nudges the student to occasionally misidentify.... but to be honest, that is on our end, and that error becomes a great teaching point....

I use the Tree Plotter mostly to create and update our ever changing City Tree inventory but use it equally to assess risk in our parks and Arboretums. I enjoy the portability and it helps me plan ahead for our future plantings and tree development.
Pros: While I have only used Tree Plotter for less than a year, it is one of my most useful Arborist tools in my arsenal. We have been able to create an inventory of the City's trees (still a work in progress), identify the species, assess the tree health and condition, identify all the Ash trees and create a list of the ones we want to treat and the ones we want to remove, assess any potential public risk, create work orders and maintain a record of maintenance that will be passed down and shared with future City employees. I enjoy the mapping aspect of the program the most. I can go anywhere in the City and pull up the tree on my laptop and see what notes we have, assess any trimming needs and most recently, I have added the year the tree was planted (we plant 50-75 trees per year). I love the portability of this tool and enjoy the ease of use. This is a great resource to have.
Cons: There is very little that has been overlooked with this software. If there was anything that is lacking, I have yet to find it. The functionality is very intuitive and easy to use.

Pros: the keeping track of tree, and work orders
Cons: some of the processes are repetitive and it wont keep common information, such as e mails for sending work orders
Ruurd v. · Supervisor, Forestry · Government Administration · June 8, 2020
Tree Plotter has helped us keep a overview on trees in the city limits that need to be maintained.
Pros: This software is easy to use and very informative. I have have as little or as much information with my maps as I want. For non-technical people, it is easy to learn and navigate.
Cons: Only con I can think of is the vast amounts of information included. However, you can customize how much you can see.
Jason E. · IT Director · Government Administration · June 8, 2020
Pros: The Tree Plotter Software was easy to use and was highly functional. We also received great customer/technical support.
Cons: We have not complaints about the product. It functioned as advertised and did a great job for us. We are please to have this tool in our tool bag.
Scott C. · Owner, Arborist · Environmental Services · June 8, 2020
Where the tree is located on the property and the details of the status is helpful in reports
Pros: I like the details kept about the specific tree
Cons: It is difficult to learn how to operate, how to produce a report And how to share the maps
Tim B. · Owner · Environmental Services · June 4, 2020
The tool has helped us with closing deals, explaining to our clients a scope of work and seeing trees plotted keeps our work laser focused. The down side is that it’s cumbersome to use, I don’t have time to “discover” features and I know we are not utilizing the software to its full potential.
Pros: [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] and Company have been extremely supportive during our use of the software. The system can easily be modified to suit our specific needs. When reaching out, the response time is immediate with the recommended solution or directions on how to accomplish the task.
Cons: The software is cumbersome and confusing. There are duplicate ways to do certain things. I feel categorizing items into specific buckets would help. It takes five steps to do one thing
