Pros: The product still has value because it addresses centralizing payroll, time attendance, benefits and compliance reminders for workforce administration, and features such as time attendance can genuinely help if the internal process is simple, stable and well defined from the beginning.
Cons: The improvement areas are significant: administrative interface, requires accurate setup, and less attractive if payroll needs are simple. In a demanding professional environment, these points can create friction when users expect strong controls, analytics, scalability and clean auditability.

Pros: What I liked most about Asure is how it centralizes core HR and payroll processes in one place. In practice, this is very similar to managing a portfolio: you have a consolidated view of employees, costs, and compliance. For example, linking time tracking directly to payroll and cost allocation reduces manual reconciliation and improves reliability, which is critical in structured environments.
Cons: What I liked least about Asure is that it can feel quite administrative and not always intuitive. The platform is powerful, but you need discipline and proper setup to fully leverage it. Without that, workflows can become heavy and less efficient.

After a number of years of frustration with aspects noted above, I made the move to a different provider. The exit confirmed for me that Asure was not a good fit. MUCH happier with the new provider - better reporting capabilities; less expensive; customer service is a live person each time and extremely timely.
Pros: The system did a good job with the basic aspects of getting deposits made when needed. When I started with Asure 5 years ago, we had a dedicated rep who did a good job with customer service. That ended about 3 years ago when that individual left.
Cons: User interface was way behind current standards. Customer service was a hit and miss for getting people in a timely manner. The ability to run reports out of the system was terrible. I could not run my own annual worker's comp payroll report. I had to request the report from customer service which is a huge inconvenience. I was with Asure for over 5 years. When it came time to move to a different provider (due to the issues above), I was penalized a full year's payroll fees because it was deemed that I didn't provide enough notice to them. After being a customer for 5 years and since it costs them nothing extra if I leave, this was extremely unreasonable. I reached out multiple times to management and was denied any type of concession.

It’s a good system, but there are limited automation features and reporting options. Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 5.
Pros: After payroll is processed, Asure automatically sends the reports to the office. It also sometimes includes a compliance package in the email.
Cons: It can sometimes be difficult to reach my assigned representative, so I often have to call and get routed to another representative.

APTM is fine. EV Classic is terrible. Overall I am satisfied with APTM, but not at all with EV Classic.
Pros: My experiences with APTM have been fairly good. The only thing that needs improvement is response time for tickets. Sometimes it takes too long to hear back from Support.
Cons: I still believe that EV Classic needs a complete overhaul. The software reminds me of a payroll system I used back in the 1990's. EV Classic is very outdated and very unpredictable at times. In my opinion, It is not a user friendly software, especially for 2026. There are much better systems out there.

I would not recommend this company. In our experience, everytime we called in the person that could help was "in a meeting" and "would call us back in 15 min" just to never get that call. Even if you do not have issues just to submit payroll it's overly complicated system is not worth it. I would recommend other services which are cheaper and more user friendly.
Pros: There was nothing while working with this company that I would cinsider a pro. Basic payroll functions were overly complicated and there was no one who you could speak with that could help with issues directly.
Cons: After switching to Asure I had to reach out mutiple times to get questions answered and finally was able to get someone to walk me through how to submit payroll. It was an overly complicated process and almost no support. At the end of the year I was informed by the state they had not filed any of our withholdings for the entire year. It took 3 months to get someone to actually address this and get it corrected. We still have ourtstadning penalties and intrest from late filings that they have not resolved.

The overall portal is rather easy to navigate and with time, you can manage to figure it out on your own (that's how easy it is). I am responsible for 3 businesses and almost 300 employees and with the reports they provide, you can pretty much find anything and everything you are looking for. I just wish they had the option of being able to create your own reports without having them do it and charging you the time it takes to create it.
Pros: Time tracking and attendance app. This is a very useful app for our company particularly because we have a lot of drivers that are consistently on the road and can submit their timesheets from anywhere. So, if I am missing a timesheet, I don't have to wait for them to return from their trip to get it!
Cons: Account management and support. I have had good and bad experience in the customer support department. There are excellent employees that are VERY informative and instructional when you are unsure of how to do something, then there is the very vague response with minimal information, and you have to try to "figure out" what they mean without asking them to elaborate several times (often times because I've never had to do it before) in turn it seems like they get annoyed with you and their responses become shorter and shorter. Customer support is HUGE when I look for a software program. This certainly could use improvement!

We did not stay with asure for every long and changed over to a system that can handle multi-state and more advanced payrolls.
Pros: It is easy to use for a small business, but was very much out of compliance with multi-state taxation.
Cons: The system was a small business platform with no real single database for what we were looking for. The tax engine was not compliant. Reporting was minimal. In comparison to other systems, the pricing should have been much less to be competitive.

Poor experience. I do not recommend using this software. It is impossible to reach someone for any type of help.
Pros: There was nothing really good about this program. It was not user friendly. Our accountants dealt with it.
Cons: The interface was not user-friendly. My staff got so angry at it that they would come to the office for us to explain how to use it.

Besides not having an HR person, I did not have any problems with Asure. All tax reporting was accurate
Pros: Always willing to help answer our questions. Never had a problem with processing payroll. Reports were accurate
Cons: Was not able to provide us with an actual HR person. We needed an actual person we could call. Everything was mainly through email.

Overall, I would use it for my businesses. My days are very busy and require the utmost attention in many ways. Using this tool is like have 2 more employees that work for me!
Pros: I liked its easy comprehension and practical usage. I have several businesses and it is crucial that certain aspects are made easier. This definitely aids in that.
Cons: It took me a few times to navigate, but is to be expected. Doing taxes, bookkeeping and payroll isnt always the most pleasurable tasks, but they have to be done.

Absolutely abysmal. I lost clients. Asure refused to take responsibilty. My clients were continuously getting IRS notices for tax deposits not made correctly.
Pros: Absolutely nothing. At first they were helpful and pleasant. That didn't last long. They pulled payroll from one client twice. Didn't pay taxes they withheld. Filed returns late. When we cancelled they didn't remit the funds that they held for 940s that they had collected. After several complaints, they told me that they had sent the money back to the client in "February". In April, my clients had not received anything. If I could leave negative stars, I would.
Cons: Hard to choose just one thing. Failed to make timely tax payments, failed to return funds when contract discontinued, failed to file returns on time.

it has been easy breezy it’s nice to have knowledgeable folks filing for me i tried first year and it wasn’t fun for me .
Pros: that help is a email or phone call away. it just make worrying about my business easier not knowing whether i file everything correctly.
Cons: nothing i can think of at the moment it been care free for the most part. guess one thing would be portal i have problems logging into.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful and have taken care of every issue whenever I've had questions or needed help.

Positive. No matter who takes my calls or emails, everyone is well versed in my question or at least can point me in the correct person who can answer my questions.
Pros: Someone always is available to take my call and answer my questions. Email replies are always prompt.
Cons: A bit pricey for my small business. There is also often a turn over of help so I don't always keep the same representative.

Been the worst payroll provider I've ever dealt with. We will be finding another payroll provider in the very near future.
Pros: Absolutely nothing! Worst payroll provider ever!! Only reason I gave one star is because it's required to move on.
Cons: Everything, Sales guy [sensitive content hidden] is just a sales guy and doesn't support what he's selling at all. During the transition to Asure payroll, they didn't set up my Federal tax deduction correctly and I am now going to be over $4,000 short come tax time. We met with them and pleaded for them to make things right but they refused to do so.

Pros: Can't think of much. It was better before our smaller payroll company was bought out by Asure...now there are plenty of online options for easily running payroll ourselves.
Cons: Super challenging to work with: hard to get immediate and clear communication on things, frequent mistakes, etc. Customer service is typically not very friendly and professional. It is more expensive and time consuming to do my payroll here than using an online service.
