Great experience was able to find what I was looking for when I needed to restore from it, directly into the end user's mailbox in a separate labelled folder, when user lost his contacts.
Pros: An Office365 backup that is great value with a quick restore process and multiple restore options that allow for hands off restore directly into the end user's mailbox (e-mail restore).
Cons: Restore process takes some time to figure out if not used often (there is recovery option on the left sidebar, but also a recovery option from the backup as well on the homepage, say Exchange), they seem to offer different interface and recovery options.

We scheduled the first full backups of email, onedrive and sharepoint and it was quite simple to set up the backups
Pros: It is a complete and quite intuitive backup of the entire tenant where you can manage the emails to remove and add
Cons: Customer management on the portal is quite good although it can still be improved. I need to improve the learning curve.

148 / 5.000 We are at the beginning, we have added the first customers but what I can say is the speed of management and configuration as well as the reports present with alerts
Pros: The ease of adding a full or partial backup and the speed of data recovery Streamlined and practical graphics
Cons: that when I have to add a new customer I have to indicate an email using aliases so as not to put the customer's one

CloudAlly Microsoft 365 Backup delivers an awesome, set-and-forget data protection experience. Its intuitive, admin-friendly interface ensures easy setup—often taking less than 30 minutes—and stress-free management. The comprehensive, automated daily backups cover all M365 services, including Mail, Teams, and SharePoint, with unlimited retention. When disaster strikes, the smart granular and point-in-time recovery is lightning fast, allowing non-destructive restores in a few clicks. Coupled with robust security and exceptional, real-person support, CloudAlly provides complete peace of mind, making data loss a non-issue.
Pros: CloudAlly is far superior, quick and easy to setup, manage, use and is great value for money above any competitor.
Cons: there are no cons!
Brendan M. · IT Director · Computer & Network Security · October 30, 2025
Pros: Really simple to implement, and perform recoveries. Easy to use interface, and to give client users access if needed. Also very cost effective to provide unlimited data retention.
Cons: We found that in instances where a user's primary email address had changed, their Microsoft 365 Exchange backups failed. We had to go in and run a manual backup before backups would start working automatically again.

It does the job of backing up M365 very well, easy to use and simple to manage. Backups and restores are done efficiently and quickly.
Pros: It's super simple to setup, easy to manage and good value for money. It managed all aspects of the M365 product with ease.
Cons: Nothing really to dislike. It does everything it needs to do as it describes it can be done. No cons at this stage.

I’ve been using CloudAlly for several years across multiple clients, and it has always delivered. The solution offers great value for money, with reliable automated backups and secure cloud storage included.
Pros: CloudAlly’s automated daily backups have been rock solid. I’ve never experienced a failed backup that left data at risk. The scheduling flexibility ensures client data is continuously protected without requiring manual intervention.
Cons: none so far.

I was super happy with you guys at first. The backup ran pretty quickly for our internal organization, we were able to integrate well enough using your APIs and our control panel, and you are still lightyears better than our previous partner. But the honeymoon period didn't last long because of the issues above. If I could just get more transparency on what's actually happening with active backups, access to real, full job logs to diagnose failures on my own, and if you could just auto-archive within a day or two instead of a month or two, this would be such a great product. As it stands we stopped selling it to new partners over a year ago and are just providing it to partners who already have it while we wait for them to figure out they'd be better off with AFI or DropSuite...
Pros: It's a solid backup for the most part. As long as the mailboxes remain licensed and active the backup runs great, with only intermittent transient issues that are to be expected with any kind of backup.
Cons: $8c

The overall experience of CloudAlly is great, with previous experience of many other backup solutions, CloudAlly should certainly be considered.
Pros: The CloudAlly backup portal is very intuitive to use and very simple and quick to do mailbox or folder restores. CloudAlly is cost effective, allowing unlimited data storage backup per user.
Cons: There is nothing that I can think of at this stage of using CloudAlly that I don't like about how it works.
Darran C. · Operations · Information Technology and Services · September 4, 2025
Pros: CloudAlly backups for 365 is currently the best solution I'm aware of, the implementation process is straight forward and reliable. Alerts and notifications are always spot on, the amount of data held also seems infinite. Restorations are easy and provide multiple methods of doing so, if you have any problems the support team are always on it.
Cons: Sometimes backups will fail for no reason so they need to just be re-ran, this could be automated. On-mass scale this can be come a little tedious.
Zachary C. · Service Desk Team Leader · Information Technology and Services · September 4, 2025
Great! The portal is easy to use, easy to manage the backups and have not had any issues with it at all!
Pros: I really liked how easily I could scale up and down clients and the customer service has been excellent. Price point has been perfect to allow us to pass on those savings to our clients.
Cons: Being charged in USD instead of AUD. This makes it frustrating from an accounting point of view for Australian customers.
Thomas R. · Director · Computer & Network Security · September 4, 2025
Easy to use. If initial setup is done correctly, no need to check the backups afterwards. Restoration is on the click of a few buttons making it easy to go through the entire process without needing any support or guides.
Pros: No need to keep logging in to check daily as day email schedule lets me know everything I need to know. Easy to restore emails or files.
Cons: Some backups fail for some odd reason. After looking at that mailbox, it seems that contacts and other small stuff fails and the actual OneDrive and email conversations are successful
FADIL A. · System Administrator · Financial Services · September 3, 2025
Very easy, affordable, and reliable. Customer support was also very responsive where we had questions during setup.
Pros: Very easy to set up, and runs smoothly with little to no admin required. Restoration process is intuitive, and automated notification emails mean easy to monitor.
Cons: Pricing model is based on the number of exchange mailboxes including shared mailboxes. We use shared mailboxes a lot to retain ex-employee emails, but would prefer to be able to archive these in CloudAlly without having to keep them active in Exchange.

My overall experience has been very positive. Microsoft 365 Backup provides a strong layer of security and business continuity by ensuring critical data is recoverable in case of accidental deletion or corruption. It saves time, reduces stress, and offers confidence that essential information is safeguarded. The solution has been a valuable addition to our IT strategy.
Pros: The platform is highly reliable and integrates seamlessly with Microsoft 365 services. I particularly appreciate the automated backup scheduling, which gives peace of mind knowing that emails, OneDrive files, and SharePoint data are consistently protected without manual intervention. The user interface is intuitive, and the recovery process is straightforward, allowing for quick data restoration when needed.
Cons: While the system works well overall, the initial setup and configuration can be a bit time-consuming, especially for users with complex environments. Additionally, reporting features could be more detailed, as sometimes I need deeper insights into backup statuses and potential issues.
Abbasi A. · Consultant · Education Management · September 3, 2025
Overall, Microsoft 365 Backup from CloudAlly has been a dependable solution. It’s given us the assurance that critical business data is protected and can be restored quickly when needed. The product has become an essential part of our data protection strategy.
Pros: What I liked most about Microsoft 365 Backup is the peace of mind it provides. The setup was straightforward, the interface is easy to use, and automated backups mean I don’t have to constantly monitor the system. Having granular restore options for emails, OneDrive, and SharePoint files is especially valuable.
Cons: The restore process, while effective, can sometimes feel a little slower than expected for larger data sets. Pricing could also be more flexible for smaller organisations.

I've been using cloudally for my customer since 2011 and I really love it! I used 4 different product but keeped this one!
Pros: One click configuration for all 365 services. Easy to manage great UX to backup, monitor and restore great chat & email support choice of datacenters
Cons: Nothing to complain about, great team, great product. always keep in mind that what the most important is to be able to restore data, and cloudally is great for that!
Romain P. · CEO · Computer Software · September 3, 2025
Simple to use and doing all we can ask of a solid backup system. Data is kept locally being based in Australia that is also an added bonus.
Pros: CloudAlly turned out to be very simple to use. Even with little IT experience it was easy to follow instructions and loads of videos if needed.
Cons: At first, I was concerned with how much it would end up costing but since you can trial it first it then gives you a quote if you wish to proceed.
Brett A. · Operations Manager · Machinery · September 3, 2025
Pros: I have been backing up our Office 365 mailboxes for about 4-5 years. The service works great! I have only had to restore a handful of times but it was seamless and successful. The customer support is also great. Every support case I opened was followed up and resolved quickly.
Cons: Probably the restore process being a little confusing in the options you are given for a particular mailbox, trying to isolate a specific email can be a bit confusing.
Salvador M. · IT Manager · Marketing and Advertising · September 3, 2025
Overall, I would definitely recommend CloudAlly for your Microsoft 365 (and Google WS) backup needs.
Pros: Overall, I have had a great experience with CloudAlly 365 backup and the value for the money spent is very competitive. We are using it for all the 365 modules. The setup was simple and straight forward. My interaction with support has been good and quick response. I have tested recovery for real time situations as well as to assure the process and have not hit a failure and recovery speed was better than expected. They even assisted me getting our Google Workspace data backed up after we migrated to 365.
Cons: Not a major issue, but when a backup failure is reported, I needed to contact support for an explanation. The logging received could have been more detailed.

If a person is responsible for managing a Microsoft 365 environment using a backup service such as Cloudally should be mandatory.
Pros: The ease with creating and managing a backup stragedy for 365 products is much appreciated. Cloudally is an excellent value.
Cons: There's not much to dislike. The service does exactly as needed. If I had to nit pick, the restore interface might need a refresh.
Robert M. · Senior Technician · Computer & Network Security · September 3, 2025
The overall value provided is excellent. Although I’ve only had to contact support once, the experience was positive—the team was responsive and resolved the issue effectively."
Pros: The solution functions reliably and offers a straightforward configuration process, making it highly accessible for users of varying technical backgrounds."
Cons: It would be highly beneficial if the platform allowed seamless switching between multiple accounts, particularly for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), to enhance operational efficiency and user experience."
James W. · Managing Member · Management Consulting · September 3, 2025
Maxime L. · CEO · Information Technology and Services · September 3, 2025
Extremely happy with the product overall. It works perfectly and exceeds all my expectations. We are very happy with the product.
Pros: Easy to use. Simple but effective interface. Restore is very intuitive. Adding new users or folders is a simple process.
Cons: Everything is perfect as it is; there’s nothing I could improve or make better right now that I could think of
Edward B. · Owner · Information Technology and Services · September 3, 2025
I like the tool but I would like to do better performance. I would like to learn the tools because I have problems for sell it.
Pros: When you start to use this tool is intuitive and you don't need more time to configure. It's easy to control the backups and restore them. It is an intuitive tools and easy to configure.
Cons: In my opinion, it is slow for restore or download sharepoint folders or group of emails. When I needed to download some folders they need a lot of time.
Jose Luis R. · System administrator · Information Services · September 3, 2025
It is a well respected and valued service that sits in the top tier of the IT tool box. You have managed to make it very simple to use, with jus the right amount of features to achieve the important role it serves. I ask anyone to is looking for O365 backup to give it a try.
Pros: I will firstly start by stating that thankfully we have never need to use any of the Cloudally recovery features in an emergency situation. Coming from a on-premise environment we were advise that we needed backup. Not knowing the market, I let the then current IT MSP/re-seller recommend and they recommended Cloudally for the task. I remember the setup being swift, testing conclusive and by the next morning the O365 estate was protected. I check regularly on job performance and protection status. MFA secures the account as you would expect and the UI is just so intuitive. you never need to ask. I didn't mention price, it is still 5 years on very good value per user.
Cons: The only think I can think to mention is that, originally I thought that it would restore direct in to O365 but we have worked to work around that observation as we regularly test quarterly on restores.
