Overall good experience. Would love to have some updates to make Akitabox even more functional for tracking projects.
Pros: Overall Akitabox is great and has been super useful to our organization. It is easy to learn overall and has good features within the system.
Cons: The app is not as useful and is harder to use than the desktop version and doesn't not interact well with Apple products. Also wish there was a way to track projects within the program. Also, the back end side of Akitabox could use a bit of updating.

We had a client ask for a specific set of criteria than included asset tracking, Uniformat series and an online collaborative tool that multiple facility managers can access. This platform provided all of those features!
Pros: It was easy for our team to set up and access the platform and start uploading our information. Our client is happy with the results so far as we help them improve their facilities. We also have a tremendous support team from Akita on board too!
Cons: Its depends on the users, but for some the learning curve might be a bit high and they need to train to adjust to the software. For others, its fairly straightforward approach.

Learning what the application can do was exciting, I enjoyed the pictures of assets, and the maps of our buildings is very helpful when giving out information to our techs to give direct locations. Very useful for me.
Pros: I enjoy how we can look up assets by asset number or you can type in the location. For most assets you can see a picture of what you're looking for.
Cons: I'm not sure if there are videos available to watch to help the user experience, and possibly a tutorial on where to find helpful pages. If I could've had a more precise user interface finding assets could've been a little more efficient for me.

Was asked by superiors to 'sign up.' Had no idea what I was signing up to or for. Being semi-retired and working part time, some workings of the organization fly by like a bat in the night. Can't wait to find out what I just gave a portion of my remaining earthly life towards!
Pros: Finally got in and did my job as an employee.
Cons: How long it took to get in. The multiple moves to gain access was a fail for some reason.

It's been a very good relationship over the years, and I plan to continue that relationship. If I have any questions or issues I'm able to make contact with the staff very quickly.
Pros: The program itself is well put together and easy to use. But what I like the most is that Akitabox has listen to our opinions and made changes for us to accommodate those needs and desires.
Cons: I cannot think of anything to really say is a con.

My experience with AkitaBox has been amazing, so much so that many other companies, schools, universities and hospitals contact me to see how I like the product and how I utilize it.
Pros: I really liked the fact that they sent their team into my building to retrieve accurate data off all of my equipment and loaded it onto their platform. Then they provided not just me but my staff with great training to get us spun up to be self sufficient. They then took it a bit further by helping me to get the buy in from our staff that utilize our spaces by providing a quick link for them to notify us of any ongoing issues. Once they were what most companies would say completed they came back around to verify data that they felt was missing information and verified their own work. This is why our School District has been a proud supporter of AkitaBox because they have been a great supporter of us and a great partner as well. Any thing that we recommended and suggested they ran it up the flag pole to see if they could provide it for us. I always recommend this team when asked. I have investigated many other products and always stay with AkitaBox.
Cons: $7b

It is a great product for facility work.
Pros: The ease and speed of adding new assets to a building.
Cons: The work order system is kind of clunky compared to other products on the market.
Michael B. · Director of Facilities · Facilities Services · January 31, 2025
Pros: The system is easy to use, including categorizing, searching, and documenting service tickets.
Cons: I haven’t found any notable issues so far.
Nick G. · Maintenance technician · Facilities Services · January 31, 2025
Very good. Wonderful customer service. No down time.
Pros: For the most part this is a very user friendly platform. The mapping function for asset placement is one of the best that I have seen.
Cons: 1. I am unable to drop a pin in a location for a service request or work order. 2. There is not a way to move assets to a different building with out deleting and recreating the asset.

We are very pleased! The product is great and customer service is outstanding!!
Pros: Customer Service! [sensitive content hidden] is phenomenal!!
Cons: Can't search work orders by the work order number.

AkitaBox allows us to streamline operations and communicate easily to address needs in multiple facilities. Very useful tool with good vendor support
Pros: It's a comprehensive package that allows us to stay in one software program for proactive, reactive and Capital needs / issues
Cons: There is no internal "Back" button on the search engine. Every search starts over at the top of the sort order
John B. · Facilities Supervisor · Government Administration · January 16, 2025
AkitaBox has helped our maintenance department keep track of all assets, due dates, and costs. It has been very helpful.
Pros: It is a great resource to help track work orders that are in progress.
Cons: The mobile version isn't very user friendly.
Bill V. · Carpenter · Education Management · December 11, 2024
Its not bad at all. Just wish the mobile was better.
Pros: Keeping track of the work orders/projects going on.
Cons: Using it on a mobile phone or any mobile device is awful.
Rory M. · Facilities · Education Management · November 19, 2024
Our over experience has been great. I would highly recommend AkitaBox.
Pros: Transitioning to AkitaBox was definitely the right decision for us. Our users love being able to see the floor plans and they appreciate how easy the program is to use. The staff are easy to work with and accommodating to our needs
Cons: It would be really nice to have a mobile app for our maintenance/facilities team.
Kristi K. · Secretary · Higher Education · November 14, 2024
Very easy to use. Love all the detail that can be added.
Pros: The ability to have mutable buildings with floorplan.
Cons: I would like it to be an app so notifications come thru the app and not email.
Cory L. · Maintenance Director · Education Management · November 14, 2024
Pros: I like that all facility management can be stored in one place!
Cons: Report feature doesn't have all the necessary tools we need yet.
Brittany W. · Project Engineer · Construction · November 14, 2024
Asia Ray in customer service is great, very responsive and helpful. The program is easy to use, even with employee attrition people catch on fast.
Pros: It is very easy to sort work orders by worker strength, and the ability to put pictures of the assets has saved time in understanding nagging issues.
Cons: We could use a feature that allows the program to call up the camera when working on a Microsoft product
Jeremy H. · Maintenance · Facilities Services · November 14, 2024
its user friendly, easy to use and easy to manage
Pros: The organization behind it, how you can view all your task at once
Cons: Not being able to make certain things be required
Cassandra T. · Purchasing Manager · Food & Beverages · November 14, 2024
I have been using akitabox for over 6 years I have had a lot of experience with the system I have also co-hosted a webinar for the system.
Pros: ease of use and having a database of information in one spot
Cons: Need a real app for users the mobile site just doesn't cut it when your trying to function in the field
Calvin P. · Special systems coordinator · Education Management · November 1, 2024
very collaborative, totally supporting, always there to help us through our issues.
Pros: It's a very omprehensive product which has mead our process a much better product.
Cons: there still are some features not yet rolled out.
Kyle K. · Sr. Project Manager · Architecture & Planning · October 31, 2024
AkitaBox is so much more than a work order system for us. We recently purchased insights, and I am very excited about the reporting in the future. I consistently tell people they should switch to Akitabox for their work order system.
Pros: I love how easy the software is to use and the multiple ways our students/staff can enter service requests (Portal and/or QR codes). I also love the learning center with all the articles and videos that show me how to get the most out of the product.
Cons: I wish there was a way on the Admin side to pull easy reports for open work orders per employee. (Maybe there is and I just haven't found that yet).
Katie M. · Office Coordinator · Facilities Services · October 31, 2024
I love using AkitaBox. Great tool for anyone looking for a facility management software.
Pros: Simple to use. Easy to train others on. Great for tracking service requests and work orders.
Cons: Unable to see asset totals spent on labor, parts, etc. Have to open each individual work order to gather this information.
Austin K. · EHS and Facility Manager · Food & Beverages · October 31, 2024
Very positive with great potential for additional use.
Pros: An easy to use interface that is very intuitive and uses asset tracking.
Cons: Most services are web-based, so if you lose service, you lose some of the availability.
Timothy H. · Office Associate · Libraries · October 31, 2024
The support from Akitabox is wonderful and our end users are very happy.
Pros: Visually it is very striking. End users really like the features of seeing the floor plant to direct Facilities to the area they are requesting help.
Cons: It is not customizable and the reporting tool really does not do anything of value. I wind up crating excel reports as the system itself is unable to really quantify their work.
Wendy F. · Facilities Operations Coordinator · Higher Education · October 31, 2024
overall it has been great using akitabox
Pros: Keeps all my assignments organized and easy to see
Cons: The mobile app doesn't show everything the desktop does
