With this online survey tool we can improve our website in a structured way, ask for UX feedback quickly, survey potential customers about their needs and in that way improve our online business to create a higher conversion on the website.
Pros: Super convenient online user research tool with fast target group access. Easy to setup UX users tests with or without recordings.
Cons: The costs per respondent are sometimes a bit high, but the quality makes it up good and sometimes it takes a little while to gather the feedback.

Pros: Lyssna is quick and easy to use. They have put visible effort into the user experience. The tests you can do are presented as an attractive menu with a short description. These tests can then be easily combined into larger tests, combined with a suite of question types, so you can get further details from the user.
Cons: Despite its many advantages, it is meant for small-scale work and not larger research projects. The ability to source your own participants is useful, but the Lyssna-provided panel can be spotty sometimes, with people who are clicking through as quickly as possible and giving random characters as question answers.

Lyssna is fantastic for quick, lightweight validation during the design process. It's not meant to replace in depth user research, but for early-stage concept testing or fast iteration, it's on of the most efficient tools in my UX stack
Pros: This is super easy to set up for unmoderated tests. I can go from idea to feedback in under an hour. It has great variety of test types, which is perfect for validating UI decisions quickly. There's clean reporting visuals that make stakeholder communication easy, and it integrates SO well with figma
Cons: Analytics are good but not deep, I'd like richer sentiment tagging. Pricing can scale quickly if you run frequent testing with large panels. No built in moderated testing or live interviews. I wish there was more UI customization for the tagging.

Overall positive experience, building, launching, recruiting and analysing results are all strong offerings. A few more customisation options would be great to see
Pros: Very easy to build tests at any level - from simple to complex tests. There are just enough 'limitations' to keep focussed on the task at hand and not make tests that are confusing for users to complete.
Cons: There could be a bit more customisation available, perhaps a template or something that would allow for a more personal experience. Not being able to change intermediate screens between test tasks for example is disappointing.

We started with UsabilityHub 5 years ago and are still using Lyssna. Love it, perfect for quick experiments during ideation / exploratory phase.
Pros: Super cheap, easy to set up, fast results, large panel. I further like the many tests they have readily available.
Cons: Key disadvantage is the screener, it's very limited. We cannot add our own questions (e.g., among the following electronic products, select the ones you own and use at least 1x a month). Also: no possibility of adding images to screener.

Excellent experience with the platform and the support team - easy to user interface, uninvasive ai integration.
Pros: I love that the platform finds respondents for you, and all you have to do is set the required demographics. The ai 'summary generation' for open text field questions is a time saver of note!
Cons: Not knowing which test to use to achieve what outcome/result. It would be great if there was a section to advise you on what test to use, depending on what are trying to achieve or what you would like to know.

Overall its been ok. It's a solid tool that does what you need if you want to survey or test visuals/interview panelists or send to your own list of people. It doesn't have all the features other tools have but the subscription model means its not expensive to get started with.
Pros: Its easy to set up a study and there are a lot of criteria available for selecting a panel. The pricing is more flexible than other platforms such as Wynter as there is no steep "buy-in" costs which makes Lyssna more accessible if you don't have the budget for a $17k initial subscription.
Cons: There could be more choice in the survey question formats. The job titles to select from in the panel recruitment section seem really random and some obvious job titles seem to be missing. If you need non-english speaking panellists then this can take a while. I had to abandon a French survey due to only being able to recruit 10 people (not worth it) and a German survey has a lead time of over 10 days for 20 people.

Overall speaking, I like using Lyssna for research. It has the key tests I need and a big and high quality panel which is fast to recruit. The price is also reasonable and they kept adding good features, looking forward to more of their updates.
Pros: I can filter each responses, help a lot identifying patterns. The panel is good as well with very fast responses. Happy to be able to recruit our own users for interviews.
Cons: A lot of troubles rearranging questions as the dragging icon is not clear enough. Also the whole page is very long and confusing while navigating between sections esp when I didn't name each question. My colleague can't realize that it is possible to reorder the questions using the side bar. One key pain-point is the limitation in logic setting, as I can only hide the next question but not all others. This is especially painful in screeners.

Our overall experience has been excellent. Lyssna helped us build a habit of user testing early and often. It’s reduced rework and design churn, while increasing confidence in our UX decisions. We’ve seen measurable improvements in onboarding flow completion rates and have been able to present real user data to stakeholders during reviews. The learning curve is minimal, and the value becomes obvious almost instantly.
Pros: The ability to quickly gather unbiased user feedback without needing to recruit participants manually was a game changer. Lyssna's pre build test like the First Click, Five Second and preference tests, helped our validate within hours. the platform us incredibly easy to use, even for non-researchers and the participant panel targeting options are impressively granular
Cons: Managing multiple studies becomes cumbersome over time, especially when collaborating across teams. There is no native folder or tagging system to organize test effectively. Also integrations with project management tool like Notion, Asana or Jira are missing this create a manual step when syncing insights with our product roadmap

Pros: Ability to choose the demographics and interests of your audience, makes it much easier for recruiting. Also, usability tests are very easy to set up.
Cons: The price is what I like the least. It's very expensive to recruit participants for interviews, so more often than not, I will try another way to do that.

I would like to be able to change the background of the welcome page. I know it was recently change from purple to Gray but we were expecting for it to be customizable. If not and image at least to be able to select a color.
Pros: it can speed the process of research for some cases, is good for small parts of the project. It facilitate the note taking
Cons: The panel in Belgium is still quite limited. Not enough French speakers, not enough diversity. or user with low digital literacy.

Lyssna has been a key tool in our UX/CX studies. It’s allowed us to gather valuable insights quickly and clearly, greatly improving our decision-making process. While there’s room to improve personalization, the product fulfills its purpose effectively.
Pros: - Intuitive and visually clear interface - Ease of creating and sharing tests - Quick results that support informed decision-making
Cons: - Some advanced features require better guidance or onboarding - I’d appreciate more customization options for test flows

Middle of the road software. I absolutely have to use this for work so I really can't complain but I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for work.
Pros: It is easy to use. I like that it is more or less intuitive once you start using the program. Very much enjoyed.
Cons: I felt the cost wasn't fair. Honestly they should probably use a promo introductory offer to help most people consider paying it's operation costs.
Jay S. · News Director · Newspapers · July 7, 2025
Great! Easy to use, quick to get responses and recruit. The AI summary makes it really easy to gain insights. I usually copy and paste those into a slide deck, would be really cool to have some kind of artifact like that to share from Lyssna!
Pros: Love the AI summary feature! Made my write up so easy and leadership loved it. Would love to see an ability to put it directly into a google slide deck.
Cons: Pricing on survey structure makes it challenging to execute our campaigns sometimes - we are a startup and cost can be challenging.

Speed and affordability, you can launch tests ( like surveys, card sorts, prototype) in a fraction of seconds.
Pros: Huge panel access at low cost, speed and affordability. Simple intuitive platform for rapid user testing.
Cons: Limited advance analytics and no session recording or behaviour heatmaps. Panel quality also varies a lot.

Pros: Simple interface, clean UI, and demography settings. Great customer support, fast responses. Was easy to start using the product. We currently use weekly for new features.
Cons: Can't randomize sections yet for more objective results. Sometimes it's hard to connect Figma. But overall good.

I have a positive experiencie with lyssana, I liked to try to get some information, but I don't like the idea of paying for a susbscription I don't need. I'm studying, so it was just to test my homework.
Pros: I got valuable information for my product, it was easy and really fast to get answers from real people
Cons: I didn't like that I need to pay for a subscription to make my test longer, I didn't mind paying for people to respond.
Maria O. · UX UI Designer · Design · June 15, 2025
Pros: Our go to for quick responses from top level audience feedback. Even at the free acount level, responses are quick, usually good quality and the functionality for building different tests is brilliant - quick survey responses and 5 second testing are our favourites
Cons: Some UK audiences are quite light, so segments you think would be present based on the screening setup then can't be delivered

As a content writer, it helped me make more informed content decisions with faster feedback cycles. ’ve been using it since May and it’s become a key part of my UX writing and validation workflow.
Pros: Creating and launching research tests or usability studies is very easy. The free version is surprisingly robust, and integration with your own user base is simple.
Cons: The interface could use some simplification. There are so many options that it can feel overwhelming at first. More structured onboarding or in-app guidance would help during the first few weeks.

I haven't used it too much since the change from Usability hub, but the pricing always makes me have to change up the test to be more simple so that i can fit the budget that we have
Pros: Quick preference test, easy to populate the wires and prototypes of my designs, fast collection of responses
Cons: I dont like how there is a time estimate that increases the pricing of the test. this arbitrary feature always makes me have to change my test plan or designs to make the test more simple and re-discuss the test plan with other teams. not something that can't be easily done but definetly a bump in the process

I like Lyssna, If there was a better free plan or better pricing or maybe pricing for Iran, Definitely my choice was Lyssna but currently in most cases Maze works better for me, for country like Iran, since the free plan is less limited in comparison to Lyssna
Pros: Supporting Persian Language and Iran as a country
Cons: The result could be more precise, It’s a little bit confusing. Also the free plan is too much limitet in comparison to competitors. And it would be great if tests like First click test could be done with prototype as well. and the last thing is that the pricing is too expensive for a country like Iran.

I love using this tool, and I have had a very positive experience with it overall. It's very easy to use and also very nice to look at.
Pros: I love the user-friendly interface, the helpful and responsive support staff, and I really appreciate how much the product has improved during the time I've used it. You can tell how much the product team cares about this product and it's customers with how thoughtfully it's designed, and how much the support team cares by how available and willing to help out they are. It's beautiful and works well for my team. So far, the AI synthesis for qualitative responses works perfectly for generating insight reports quickly.
Cons: This product is pretty bare bones and is growing very quickly. The only thing I don't like is that there are some limitations within the form builder, and with new features that are put out but these are things that are improved quickly and iterated upon which I love to see.
Madalayne R. · UX UI Designer · Health, Wellness and Fitness · May 10, 2025
I think it is still the tool for non advanced research - good for surveys and so on. As an experienced UX researcher I find lack of capabilities of the tool especially when conducing unmoderated Usability Testing, Tree test, first-click tests that it is a long way to go.
Pros: Ease of use during combining research and also the way the results are presented. I'm only confused with the usability testing builder.
Cons: Time blokers for studies on pro plan. It shouldn't be orginized this way. That making me not wanting to continue with this tool and I'm going to find the alternative.
Anna K. · UX Resarcher · Military · May 9, 2025
Overall, it's a very valuable option for non-moderated tests. We especially like the Figma prototype testing features and strongly recommend it for these reasons.
Pros: It's a great resource for working on quantitative tests. In particular, we love the prototype testing features which allow you to test Figma flows. These are vital for our research and the post-test analysis features are fantastic.
Cons: It's a little difficult to set up the prototype tests for the first time, but once set up they're all good as you can clone/duplicate tests.

Pros: The tools for handling user interview logistics work well and save me time.
Cons: I don't like having to buy credits to use the Lyssna pool of participants.
