Pros: Functionality that they offer is quite available and needed, and it seems like they have everything I need.
Cons: It seems like they have everything I need, but they only offer contracts that are quite pricey. If you're hiring your first employee, and you actually don't need this service for a year, customer support is quite disappointed too. It takes them so long to answer, and they just don't get you. One more thing: when I spoke to their salesperson during the demo call, he didn't even know about all options they offer. For example, in my case, he didn't know that they offer some special terms to VC-based startups.

Dissapointing. We should have used other tools. Or we should have designed our test in house. We are a start up with less than 20 people.
Pros: The tool worked, the tests are good and features are well developed. Easy to use. Good cheating detection. Good process, good performance of the app.
Cons: As a team of <20 people, We're shocked when we completed 1 hire and asked for cancellation. The subscription model was misleading — we thought it was monthly, but only afterward learned it was a locked 12-month contract. We finished our hire and emailed support almost 20 times begging for cancellation or a fair solution, but were only offered a rigid 3-month pause. Now we’re stuck paying for a service we don’t use. For a platform calling itself startup-friendly, this feels deeply misaligned. Clearer communication and flexible options are badly needed.

With objective and fair skill-testing, TestGorilla simplifies the process of skill-testing, but saving options and the process of playing back should be improved.
Pros: TestGorilla offers a practical and suitable method to measure the working skills, not leaving impressions. The fairness of evaluation is appreciated on the platform and it has always helped me spot good candidates.
Cons: The playback pace settings were also slightly awkward in reviewing the responses of several candidates.

We engaged with TestGorilla hoping for a full trial of both personality and technical assessments as an alternative to Predictive Index. Although their UI looked great and responses were fast, we never received trial access to the complete suite. That limited visibility into core features left us feeling undervalued and unable to properly evaluate the product.
Pros: TestGorilla has a modern, intuitive interface that’s easy to navigate. Their pricing is competitive, and their support team was quick to respond to emails.
Cons: The free trial is very limited—we never got full access to the personality or technical assessments we needed. The core tools felt too basic, and despite frequent emails, the sales rep couldn’t unlock the features we requested.

I had an interesting experience I enjoyed the test it made me focus on what i was doing making sure I answer correctly
Pros: how they explain and give u a clear understanding of what is to come in each section and the breaks in-between
Cons: the word usage if it could be put into simpler terms for others to understand especially in section 2
Nakai J. · general worker · Food & Beverages · May 24, 2025
It was okay, we asked our applicants for feedback and they thought it was exhausting and overwhelming.
Pros: The availability of tests and ability to personalize tests as needed for our organization. It is nice to monitor tests from dashboard.
Cons: That you had to commit to an annual agreement, could not delete only archive applicants that you gave tests to (if using TEST applicants - still had to see them on dashboard).
Beth B. · Business Office and Facilities Management · Hospital & Health Care · May 5, 2025
All in all, I'm satisfied with the platform and services provided.
Pros: Variety of tests: from soft skill testing to more technical/hard skills.
Cons: The pricing is a bit high for the amount of tests we send per year. Basically, it's difficult for us to find a plan that fits our needs.

Pros: User-friendly, efficient, and great for hiring
Cons: No Cons.

My overall experience with TestGorilla has been positive, especially for streamlining pre-employment assessments. However, customization limitations and occasional integration challenges can be improved. Overall, it's a great tool for data-driven hiring.
Pros: TestGorilla offers a user-friendly interface, a wide range of pre-employment assessments, and seamless integration with ATS platforms. Its AI-driven insights, customizable tests, and automated candidate ranking streamline hiring, making it efficient, data-driven, and bias-free for recruiters and hiring managers.
Cons: Some test questions cannot be modified, restricting flexibility Automated scoring may not always reflect real-world skills
Yeswanth A. · Software Engineer · Staffing and Recruiting · February 24, 2025
amazing, tests are good but needs some more easy insights
Pros: easy to use, lots of tests that can meet multiple hiring
Cons: sometimes i get confused on what to do exactly maybe a tutorial in screen would make it better
sherif a. · CTO · Computer Software · February 24, 2025
very good and fast in time of answering questions
Pros: is most easy job seeker app that everyone can express there self
Cons: the timer of the test is very limited and need to be look onto

I am happy with my choice, I think TG covers my specific needs and I won´t be searching for another platform. Also, they have great support!
Pros: Very user friendly, super easy to find the correct assessments. Plus, they offer templates and automated responses.
Cons: I wanted to create an assessment with 5 different test, but this was not possible, as 4 is the maximum per assessment.
Marc R. · Human Resources Manager · Construction · February 19, 2025
TestGorilla is simple to use and includes different tests, such as mental and personality assessments. The reports clearly outline candidates’ strengths and weaknesses. Overall, it is a helpful tool for evaluations.
Pros: Testgorilla improved my English. When I learned my english level it's A2 now B1.
Cons: I think I didn't see any bad things in testgorilla it's unique.
İbrahim Bezan Ö. · Artificial intelligence coordinator · Education Management · February 13, 2025
The interface was friendly, i easily was able to navigate through out my testing process, and the question sections breaks were very important as it helped not only for room to breath but majorly as a saving point incase there is disruption with the internet or power
Pros: The very important aspect of offering multiple test based assessment, that goes just beyond technical skills and and soft skillss
Cons: it cant be used for some kind of technical skill based assessment like coding
Favour U. · Product designer · E-Learning · February 11, 2025
・Overall very good and we are getting great feedback from candidates and hiring manager.
Pros: ・Strong Behavioral Assessments ・Good Range of Tests ranging for Hard Skill to Soft Skills
Cons: ・I believe there could be more aspects to the Problem Solving test accumen, specifically in regards to more functional problems.
Arvind G. · Senior TA Partner · Financial Services · February 10, 2025
I love the interface and ease of use. Helped us screen our candidates.
Pros: It's making our assessment easier and more objective.
Cons: None so far. The only feedback I have is that I started using TestGorilla during the maintenance period.
Clarion O. · Operations Manager · Staffing and Recruiting · February 5, 2025
Great. this is my second employer that I have brought in test gorilla to use.
Pros: Love being able to build my own test with premade test templates, but also that I am able to create my own questions.
Cons: So many features are in the premium. Unless you really want the bottom tier basic you have to upgrade.
Jessica B. · CCO · Computer Software · February 3, 2025
I think that test gorilla is definitely the top notch system for screening candidates
Pros: The possibility to integrate custom questions and pre made ones, I also liked the anti cheating system and the dashboard
Cons: The one year subscription only did not allow us to buy the subscription at this time, we would have definitely move forward if the monthly subscription was available
Matteo B. · Csm · Marketing and Advertising · February 3, 2025
We were able to screen several programmer applicants and it revealed those who had the potential to be great developers vs. those which were lacklustre.
Pros: The programming tests are very comprehensive and measures the time it takes the test taker to provide answers.
Cons: Pricing is on an annual contract basis. It would be easy to decide to subscribe if it was on a monthly payment and contracting basis.
Floyd P. · Fractional CTO · Computer Software · January 29, 2025
I loved my experience with TestGorilla so far, it's changed how I do the interview process completely
Pros: I liked that it standardizes candidate evaluation and removes the bias. I've done the tests myself and they are amazingly built.
Cons: Nothing at the moment, the free version is a bit limited so I may eventually move to a priced plan. However, it's still a great tool as is.
Maude N. · CX Manager · Consumer Services · January 29, 2025
Better than expected, but the lack of a short term month to month subscription is a problem for us.
Pros: Easy to set up and use with some interesting assessments on the free plan.
Cons: You can't see the invitation or the rejection emails on the free plan. You can't view the test questions, so it's a leap into the unknown as a first time user. If you customise a screening question and need to edit it - you can't. You have to delete it and start again. You have to subscribe for a year. As a first time user from a small start up, we probably would have paid for a plan for a month or two - but can't justify the cost for an entire year for one hire. There is no reminder option to remind a candidate to take the test.
Fi R. · COO · Computer Software · January 23, 2025
Good so far, I enjoyed the free trial and the demo provided.
Pros: The ability to accurately identify candidates that leave the testing environment, as well as the live tracking and volume of tests.
Cons: The pricing structure. For a startup, a monthly plan would suit best.
Samantha V. · Founder and Recruiter · Staffing and Recruiting · January 22, 2025
Positive. We are still in the process of hiring but it has helped us short list candidates.
Pros: Indeed has removed their testing feature which we liked to use for hiring. We found test gorilla and the tests options are even better as we can pick and choose.
Cons: Nothing so far. I found it very easy to use and the part where you can compare applicants is helpful.
Laura M. · Office Manager · Construction · January 21, 2025
$95
Pros: It is an easy-to-use assessment platform
Cons: Poor company policy on annual payments, Insufficient technical tests, inability to fully assess technical competencies.
Pınar A. · Human Resources Manager · Information Technology and Services · January 15, 2025
I don't like the series of assessment tools. Candidates are not allowed adequate preparation time like in other test batteries such as shl.
Pros: I did not like this product. No positives for me. I think the time allocations per assessment battery are also questionable.
Cons: There are no real practice tests. The verbal reasoning test passage is lengthy and so are the corresponding answers for selection.
