Clockify

Pros: Clockify has stayed incredibly reliable as a core time-tracking tool, but what stands out now is how much more robust it’s become. The reporting is far more useful than it used to be - I can quickly break down time by client, project, or tag and actually use that data for decision-making, not just tracking. The invoicing and billable rate features have also matured, making it easier to connect time tracking directly to revenue. I still love the simplicity of starting/stopping timers, but now it scales much better across multiple clients and complex workflows.

Cons: While it’s improved, some parts of the interface can still feel a bit clunky when managing a high volume of projects or making bulk edits. The reporting customization, while better, can sometimes feel limited if you want very specific breakdowns. And compared to newer tools, the UI/UX isn’t the most modern or intuitive in every area.

Pros: its free which I like. I do like the ease of use for keeping track of multiple clients, as I am a VA for a few different people. I also like that you can do timer or manual time entries.

Cons: its not super user friendly to keep track of time taken off of a retainer. and the PDF invoice isn't super great but it works for what I need!

Pros: Clockify is eye opening when it comes to efficiency and task management. It was easy to use and wonderfully helpful.

Cons: A little on the pricey side, that would be the only negative I took away from my experience with Clockify.

Pros: What I liked most about Clockify was its simplicity and ease of use. The interface is very intuitive, making it easy to start and stop tracking time without disrupting work. I also appreciated the clear reports and breakdowns, which made it simple to see where time was being spent across projects and tasks. The fact that it offers strong core features even on the free plan made it especially practical and accessible for both individuals and teams.

Cons: What I liked least about Clockify was that some of the more advanced features—such as detailed reporting, invoicing, and certain customization options—are limited unless you upgrade to a paid plan. I also found that manual time tracking relies heavily on user consistency, so if timers aren’t started or stopped accurately, it can affect data reliability. While the interface is clean, deeper analytics and automation felt a bit basic compared to more robust time‑tracking tools.

Pros: Clockify is very easy to use and makes tracking time simple and efficient. I like how quickly I can start and stop timers and switch between tasks without any confusion. The interface is still clean and intuitive, and the reporting features give a clear overview of how my time is spent. It’s also great that I can manage multiple projects in one place and access it across devices.

Cons: The mobile app can feel a bit slow or less smooth compared to the desktop version, especially when switching between tasks. Some advanced features like detailed reports and integrations are limited unless you upgrade to a paid plan, which can be restrictive for growing.

Pros: I was previously manually adding up my hours each month because I hadn't realised that, in the dashboard, you can select a time period and it gives you the total hours. Being able to see time spent of different projects so easily is useful. It does much more than I'd previously realised.

Cons: No real complaints. It could be a tiny bit quicker if, when you duplicate an entry, it automatically expanded the entries for quick editing of the date/time (if I'm adding holiday, I add hours and duplicate if for the number of days, so making this a little quicker could be helpful).

Pros: I use Clockify daily and recommend this product to most of my clients. Clockify is easy to use, cost effective and a usefull tool when it comes to task management and client billing. One of the best things about this product is that it can be tailored to specific needs. I love that there are multiple subscription levels so most people can just pay for the features they need. Clockify also offers free basic time tracking. Once I started using the free version, I was able to really look at where my time was spent and realized I was not using my time as efficiently and profitably as I thought. I also use the mobile app to track time, billing and driving when I consult with clients out of the office.

Cons: I have not find anything I do not like about Clockify but I also do not use any of the advanced features or highler subcription levels. The time tracking features, reporting and mobile app are perfect for my needs to help me manage my business and small team of contractors.

Pros: It was a well known app that seemed to register with a lot of people on the team i was a part of. Had no issues in terms of use.

Cons: It was difficult to use and figure out. There seemed to be a B learning curve in my end and it also charged and i didn’t realize that.

Pros: It user friendly without overthinking, you log in, and everything is good to go. No fuss, instructions are easy to follow. can be used immediately by your team.

Cons: ease of use, the app is simple but reliable and stable for team or small group of people to track time...

Pros: Clockify works. Thank God. My PC didn’t die when I started up the app. I like how the side bar navigates easily. I didn’t need to open a guide book to get to the team settings. I feel relieved that it has the ability to handle multiple projects so I can see were the time is being spent through peak times.

Cons: As far as syncing speeds go they are really slow between devices most of the time. I talked to customer service for 2 days just to finish the on boarding process due to the complete disaster that was setting up the integration apps.

Pros: I absolutely love the strong core features Clockify has for projects and time tracking. It is easy to use with the start/stop timer.

Cons: Unfortunately, Clockify's mobile app has not been the best. Theres limited functionality and I've experience sync problems.

Pros: The software remains easy to deploy and you can organize your team in order to start tracking tasks.

Cons: That for some better features it requires to go on the paid versions which makes it inconvenient that for 1 features you have to pay full price

Pros: I like that it calculates the hours for you and you can even put in tentative hours for future days to see what your week looks like as a whole.

Cons: I do not like that it has a lot of internet issues. It will have a spinning wheel of death for a couple minutes before it opens and works. I still don't like that it's outdated for iPhone.

Pros: I like it as it is a simple and easy tool to boost your productivity and dont feel like a manager watching me what I am doing. The timer can be started with one click and I can keep track of my work.

Cons: Sometime the amount of data you see on the dashboard can feel too much. Also to find something in a report can takes extra clicks which feels a little waste of time.

Pros: I am using Clockify for years now and it's very reliable when it comes to time tracking. It's not really for micromanaging but it's more on being productive when using it.

Cons: The only downside I experienced when using it is the late notification. You have to look from time to time to see how many hours have you been working.

Pros: Still working seamlessly. The user experience is unbeatable, no down time, super quick response time

Cons: I still get mixed up between Projects, Tasks and Detail, so I just duplicate old records and adjust.

Pros: I like that you can keep projects together under one client. you can I really like that you can keep track of several different sessions of working on the same project under one line. Other tracking software forces you to add those sessions together for a daily total.

Cons: It would be nice to have another layer in clients where you could separate different sorts of projects before breaking it down to the actual project itself.

Pros: The facial recognition did catch my face. I liked how I can log into the app from my phone, I am rarely sitting at my desk so I appreciate that feature. All you do is tap a button and it goes. I didn’t have to read through the instructions or a manual to learn how to use the basic buttons.

Cons: It seems like sometimes it will take an eternity to sync the app from my laptop to my phone. I also get bugged by the app asking for gps permission every day. Like why does it need to know I’m in the break room for the fifth time today? The process of setting up with the support team took 2 days of going back and forth and was completely frustrating.

Pros: It is easy to use and doesn’t require my login every time. I used daily to track what i do at work. I think my coworkers also like it.

Cons: I cannot think of any cons. Sometimes it lags and doesn’t load quickly but there isn’t anything that I don’t like. The phone app is little difficult to use than desktop version.

Pros: You get a lot with the free plan of Clockify, including tracking time against specific tasks and projects.

Cons: The odd time I've encountered some glitches where the timer wouldn't stop running in my browser. These are fixed by reloading the page.

Pros: Facilidad de registro horario, seguimiento de proyectos o personal y muy buenos informes y seguimiento de la actividad también. Muy sencilla de utilizar.

Cons: A lo mejor me gustaría una interfaz un poco más desarrollada o agradable a la vista por ponerle un "pero", pero es una muy buena aplicación.

Pros: It's easy to use. Even the free version covers a lot. I love being able to track various projects and various clients. The flexibility with adding time by clocking in/out vs adding time manually is nice. Summary and reports are easy to export, making it easy to invoice clients.

Cons: It's a little difficult to find where to change billing amount for the clients. It is doable, but I still have trouble finding it when I need to update my billing rate.

Pros: It is free, it clocks your time. It is simple to create projects and tasks and you can see how the tasks make up a project in a report.

Cons: What I liked the least and what caused me to switch to Jibble was that it did not update my time immediately when I was organizing my time entries by task and adding up my hours in the project report. It just was very inaccurate, I can't have that for my billed time.
