Pros: What I like most would be the ease of use. I constantly get feedback from our stakeholders on how easier the system is to navigate.
Cons: What I like least about AuditBoard is the number of bugs and issues. It seems that sometimes things are rolled out before testing, which cause other issues.

We have implemented Auditboard CrossComply and ITRM modules to manage our large compliance program. It has provided efficiency and process improvements across the board, reutilizing evidence artifacts, automating evidence collection, and providing a great UX for stakeholders.
Pros: Easy to use, help to managed over 40 certifications a year adding a risk management approach to our compliance program. The Auditboard team is always willing to support and hear new ideas and pain points.
Cons: - Limitations to integrate with On-Prem software - My Dashboard is not design for large compliance programs

Overall good experience. We used to have a direct customer service manager and bummed we don't have that anymore and only a general mailbox but overall great tool for SOX work to be done in and managed.
Pros: Ease of use for not only SOX team but also control owners and reviewers. I also love the workstream functionality so we can put as much into AB vs. email requests as possible.
Cons: I wish the annotate feature and the risk assessment functionality was better. Annotate doesn't allow for excel files to be annotated unless you do PDF conversion which is not ideal. Also, the risk assessment isn't super easy to use and manager.

We've loved having AuditBoard as our GRC platform. Since moving to the platform, we've been able to simplify our testing and provide insight to the business.
Pros: The centralization of everything SOX. Having the ability to link all testing to narratives, and providing the business the ability to view and make changes, which systematically flow to control pages.
Cons: The requirement to have different modules in order to get the full potential out of the tool. All things SOX should be included in SOXUB module
Dave E. · Sr. Manager Internal Audit · Telecommunications · September 23, 2025
Pros: The desire to be a connected risk platform, not just accommodate a single use case as an information repository.
Cons: Still a few kinks in the user experience, best features only available for premium plan subscribers.
Chris W. · Sr. Manager, Internal Audit · Food Production · September 23, 2025
Overall experience with AuditBoard has been very positive. Customer service has always been pretty good and responsive. I think they have done a great job at maintaining customer relationships after system implementations.
Pros: AuditBoard's SOXHUB module is really where the tool excels. It gives businesses the ability to easily monitor an always-changing risk & controls matrix. It is very straightforward and user-friendly for new users. Additionally, AuditBoard has demonstrated a continuous effort to innovate with new system features & functionality. This has been accomplished by listening closely to their customer's feedback.
Cons: While AuditBoard is fairly flexible, there are some limitations like its control hierarchy of Entity -> Process -> Subprocess. This only really only allows for a hierarchy that is most granular at the L2 to L3 process levels and you may not currently create more granular process levels than that. Also, I wish the SOX risk assessment feature was more robust and allowed for more streamlined mapping of control setup and chart of accounts. Currently, we still use Excel to do our scoping. Also, if you have multiple ERPs with various charts of accounts, this gets more complex and will take hard work to map everything out.

I've been using AuditBoard for over 5 years and have enjoyed our experience. We've implemented a lot of the new features that AuditBoard has rolled out and been utilizing Workstream for many organization wide certifications.
Pros: How it's easy to navigate and use, there are always new enhancements coming out that helps utilize the system more. If there are issues, customer support is quick to respond and help resolve the issue.
Cons: Some features are restrictive to tiers or features aren't compatible with certain Microsoft Office versions.
Tracy M. · Senior Financial Controls Analyst · Banking · September 23, 2025
Overall, my experience with AuditBoard has been positive as it has streamlined our audit management through a centralized platform allowing for improved collaboration.
Pros: I like that AuditBoard provides a centralized system, making it easy to manage audits, track issues, and access documentation all in one place for better efficiency and collaboration.
Cons: Given that there are many futures and customization options, it does feel difficult at times trying to navigate through the settings and figuring out what you are actually looking for.

Pros: The customer support was great and allowed us to build out our AuditBoard platform exactly how we needed.
Cons: AuditBoard Sync won't save if the session has timed out but won't give a warning that the file will not be saved to AuditBoard.
Maddie T. · Internal Auditor · Retail · September 22, 2025
We are a long term customer of AuditBoard and have been very happy with our experience. We believe AuditBoard listens to its customers and strives to enhance the product to meet ever changing needs.
Pros: 1. Onboarding and customer support. 2. Ease of implementation. 3. Continuous functionality enhancements. 4. Ease of use. 5. Supports our processes.
Cons: 1. License requirements can be a little confusing. There are not any other issues we have with AuditBoard
Fred F. · VP, Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk · Financial Services · September 18, 2025
Pros: Ease of use , things are well laid out and as long as you put some initial investment into the foundation of how things are laid out it will flow smoothly.
Cons: Initially it takes some time to onboard. You need to thoroughly think through how controls/processes should be organized
Anonymous User · Manager · Accounting · September 17, 2025
Very well designed tool to manage SOX, SOC and Operational audits, with consistently evolving AI capabilities.
Pros: Its simplicity of use, combined with multiple features important for Internal Audit/SOX work, such as controls and documents testing platform, outreach to stakeholders to perform periodic controls and provide evidence needed for testing, connectivity to other enterprise applications.
Cons: Doesn't provide a good option of cloning existing controls and requires to create new control every time.

I found it difficult to figure out because I did not have the proper training.
Pros: Audit Board seemed like it had lots of options
Cons: It was a pro that Audit board had a lot of interfaces, however we never really used a lot of them because we were not properly trained.
Carmela B. · Data Business Analyst · Insurance · February 14, 2025
Pros: Clean user interface, very user friendly, conveys a sense of professionalism and organization for tasks.
Cons: I have not encountered any egregious weaknesses with this tool.
Jamon H. · Director - Operations · Industrial Automation · January 12, 2025

As a service provider, we love when clients use AB since it helps our team do our work quicker/faster.=.
Pros: User friendly capabilities and a lot out of the box options.
Cons: There isn't much I don't like, very satisfied with AB.
Anonymous User · Principal · Accounting · October 24, 2024
Pros: Convenient workflows and PBC coordination to optimize testing efficiency. User experience is very straightforward.
Cons: There are areas of opportunity for increasing resource planning efficiencies versus visual import/exports. Seems like this is coming in 2025, though!
Anonymous User · Internal Audit - SOX Manager · Telecommunications · October 24, 2024
My overall experience was fantastic! This is my 2nd conference and I am looking forward to the 2025 sessions.
Pros: I like the training sessions and the presentations on how to use the platform. Connected Risk is the best way to enhance any organization's system of internal control. We need to embrace AI and AB open the door in so many ways.
Cons: The conference should be a little longer and start on Monday evening with events.
Wendy T. · CAE · Automotive · October 24, 2024
Pros: Customer Service. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Cons: Dashboards have limitations currently. However, exited about the new Dashboards coming out soon!
Franz S. · IT Manager · Information Services · October 24, 2024

Steve F. · manager · Railroad Manufacture · October 24, 2024

Daisy C. · Sr Internal Audit manager · Defense & Space · October 24, 2024
Overall the experience with demo and implementation is going well.
Pros: Demo and going through implementation now
Cons: contract process was painful during the initial negotiation
Wayne W. · Sr Director · Computer & Network Security · October 24, 2024
We're still in the process of implementation but I believe that we will gain a lot of efficiencies using the tool.
Pros: My favorite feature is the workstreams process to streamline stakeholder communications and document requests.
Cons: Nothing at the moment. AuditBoard seems to be very customizable and and the product teams are very open to considering the potential enhancements our team has suggested.
Gelila T. · Internal Audit Manager · Computer Software · October 24, 2024
always love the engagement, customer success is very solution driven and product team loves to hear from us. I enjoy working with AuditBoard team and the platform brings incredible value to enable our business.
Pros: customer success engagement and product philosophy of centralized risk/audit data in one platform
Cons: out-of-box by design is good but adapting to customer's specific needs is a drawback, how to balance it is the key
Yude C. · Director of Risk Lifecycle ERM · Financial Services · October 24, 2024
Very positive, AuditBoard is an effective and efficient tool for documentation that our team plans on using for years to come. We look forward to increasing integrations and establishing more detailed templates to reduce initial planning work each year on our projects.
Pros: User experience and user interface is extremely easy to understand. The template system also creates a high level of efficiency, especially adding in templates created in prior years.
Cons: The control certification functionality (using surveys to confirm if any control changes exist) unfortunately does not allow consolidation or bundling of controls for control owners. Thus, they have to click into each survey one by one. This makes it a bit more frustrating for management as it increases time spent.
