Pros: Shop boss is simple to use and there is little to no learning curve. There are numerous reports in the system and this makes it easy to use out of the box.
Cons: The system is not friendly for someone that owns multiple shops and is a challenge when selling tires, as it does not report DOT numbers. It is also lacking when it comes to AP and inventory controls.

Its ease of use, strong customer communication (text/email updates with photos), and excellent, responsive support.
Pros: Real-time performance tracking, VIN scanning, digital inspections, and robust payment options. I love it.
Cons: Poor customer support that can worsen issues, and sometimes confusing features like scheduling, despite appreciating its comprehensive reporting.

Pros: Shop Boss hat eine sehr übersichtliche Benutzeroberfläche und lässt sich auch ohne IT-Vorkenntnisse ganz einfach bedienen. Besonders cool finde ich die cloudbasierte Lösung. So kann man flexibel von überall auf das System zugreifen. Auch die Fahrzeughistorie und die Integration von Teilekatalogen sind echt hilfreich für den Werkstattalltag.
Cons: Manche Teile sehen ein bisschen altmodisch aus und man muss manchmal den Support kontaktieren, um sie zu ändern. Auch bei den Auswertungen und Reports gäbe es noch Luft nach oben – mehr Individualisierungsmöglichkeiten wären hier wünschenswert.

Cons: The customer service side of things is terrible. I had someone try to help me change a customer vehicle to a complete different person and ended up merging my 2 biggest clients. They told me I had to recreate the profile and change over the past customer cars and manually switch it over. I don't think I've ever been so upset with a company.

Pros: Shop Boss is very easy to use and makes managing work orders and customers fast and efficient. The reporting and inventory tracking features are also very helpful.

Pros: Through the Shop Boss Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI), there is a new way of enhancing the level of talking to our customers. It helps our customers develop more trust and understanding of the repairs that they need, which increase customer loyalty and frequent patronage.
Cons: When uploading pictures, the DVI tool freezes, and this hampers the timely delivery of reports to customers. This disruption may prove disruptive to communication and lead to the impression that we are slow in attending to our clients’ needs.

Overall very positive. Helped streamline our workflow a lot. Once the team got used to it, we were moving jobs through the shop much faster
Pros: Makes managing repair orders way easier. I like how everything’s in one place — estimates, parts, customer info. It also integrates well with parts suppliers and saves a lot of time on the admin side.
Cons: Interface could be cleaner, feels a bit cluttered at times. Also had some minor slowdowns when too many tabs are open.

Pros: Due to Shop Boss I was able to track my shop performance in a far more efficient manner than before. Real-time information on revenue, productivity of technicians, and the customers assist me in making instant decisions. This has helped in pointing out areas requiring intervention and monitoring and evaluating the progress made.
Cons: I did experience little lags with regards to the update of the data. This gap sometimes left the staff struggling to get real-time data during the busy hours hence hampering their ability to make informed decisions.

Pros: I appreciated the real-time view of the status of the organization through the BOSS Board where I was able to monitor things such as, technician hours, tickets and part margins. It improved the means to supervise daily results and assisted in making fast decisions which directly affect the profits of the shop.
Cons: One weakness found in the part ordering feature is that it does not offer order tracking for backordered goods. If one is working with multiple suppliers, it is a little irritating to update each status by the time one is busy with lots of orders especially in busy moments.

Overall, Shop Boss has streamlined many aspects of our shop's workflow—from scheduling and inventory to customer communication. It's made daily operations more efficient and professional. The support team is responsive and helpful whenever we have questions.
Pros: The cloud-based platform is easy to use and very intuitive. I especially liked the digital vehicle inspections, which make communication with customers more transparent. The VIN scanner and plate decoding save a lot of time during check-in.
Cons: The system can lag occasionally if the internet connection isn’t stable. Also, some of the reports could be more customizable to better suit our shop's specific needs.

Cons: Honestly, there’s not a ton I disliked about Shop Boss, but a few things bugged me. The inventory system feels a bit clunky—like it’s not fully there yet, though they’re apparently working on it. Also, since it’s cloud-based, if the internet craps out, you’re kinda screwed unless you’ve got a backup plan. The reports can be confusing too; sometimes I couldn’t figure out what data it was pulling, and I had to bug support to explain it. Oh, and the look of it? Kinda dated, like it’s stuck in the early 2000s. Still, these are more annoyances than dealbreakers for me.
