MemberClicks serves as a comprehensive platform for our organization, storing all of our data in one place. It streamlines the membership join, renewal, and registration processes, manages payments, and supports our fundraising efforts. The software also assists with website management and provides an Event Speaker Evaluation tool. Additionally, it features a dedicated microsite for conferences with advanced editing options, and it allows us to track educational credits as well as committee activities.
Pros: Over the years, the system evolved alongside our needs, consistently introducing new features that we found to be extremely valuable.
Cons: It would be really helpful if there were a way to preview the form as members will see it while you're creating it.

Really good team, not a great product. We decided to continue using our previous software that is under the same umbrella company.
Pros: The implementation staff were very helpful and understanding. The implementation is at whatever pace you choose.
Cons: The sales team sold us a software product with promises of all it could do and none of that was accurate. It is not customizable or user friendly.

Because I mainly dealt with the behind-the-scenes of our site, my overall experience was not good. It was not user-friendly and we had trouble getting help from our representative.
Pros: The look of MemberClicks was very nice. The formatting and ease for the customer on the actual site were nice.
Cons: The behind-the-scenes piece of MemberClicks was not user-friendly. My organization had trouble getting help with our site when issues arose.

It has not lived up to the description and answers I received when discussing it with sales. The reality does not match what I was told about how things would work. If you are only using MCTrade, I'm sure it will be fine, but if you need to integrate outside of Personify products, I would get a consultant's opinion.
Pros: I'm waiting to find something. It's been a challenging process.
Cons: We were told it integrates with HigherLogic, and while that's technically true, the process is clunky and not visually appealing. All integration questions are on HigherLogic to resolve, and they do not play nice. The time frame for questions is often more than three days. Also, there is no integration with Zapier, which is extremely unfortunate as it's listed on the features for Memberclicks. I started using Zapier to integrate with our conference app, which was terrific, so I'm sad that Zapier is not an option.

Personify by MemberClicks has been an excellent solution for our client.
Pros: Before we moved over to Personify by MemberClicks our staff were piecing together membership reports, had dozens of tracking spreadsheets for membership and events and neither our staff nor volunteer leaders had confidence about the accuracy of the information. The way the MemberClicks software streamlines processes and maintains all information in one, easy-to-access, clear, accurate platform, our workload is lighter and the quality of the work we perform for our client is higher.
Cons: We are completely satisfied with the platform.

Pros: MemberClicks is low in complexity and serves as a bare bones association management system that offers the bare minimum in features and functionality. If you are in need of a simple database to execute the most basic functions (i.e., membership applications, registration for simple events and programs, an online learning library, etc.), then MemberClicks is the database for your small to mid-size organization.

Beware before you sign-up for MemberClicks! I am on the board of a Chamber of Commerce who has been using them. They have increased the cost 25% in a 2 year period. We contacted them to let them know we are canceling and they said unless we give notice 60 days prior to our renewal date there is an 80% penalty. Basically, we have to pay for a whole year of service just to get out of the contract. They were unhelpful in resolving this matter even though they violated the terms of their contract with a 20% fee increase in 2023.
Pros: The software works okay but it is outdated and clunky. Needs serious design improvements. Not worth the cost.
Cons: Unreasonable cancelation policies. High price increases annually.

We've been with Memberclicks since 2007, so our experience is good as you can imagine!
Pros: It's the only platform that has allowed us to work one-on-one with couples preparing for marriage

My experience has improved. With the software upgrade, i am still learning. I enjoy the fact that i can now speak with help and not correspond soley through chat.
Pros: it interfaces with financial programs fairly easily.
Cons: i am old school....give me a cookbook manual on how to use this system and trouble shoot....this readying and searching topics is for the birds.

Nothing but positive here. Ease of use has to be my number one priority. It takes a little time (like any other product) to learn. When I have an issue, I may not get an immediate response but someone will always get back to me fairly quickly.
Pros: I did a lot of research before recommending MemberClicks to my board. Spoke with groups similiar to us before making that decision that had gone with other products that they wished they had not. I still reccomend MemberClicks to many groups I deal with that currently have nothing in place.
Cons: I use many programs in my daily routine. I struggle to find the time I need to learn more about the product. I really have found nothing that I dislike about the product. It does what we need it to do and I am sure so much more that we are not using currently.

I'm very happy with the product, I turn to it often to grab relevant, necessary and meaningful membership data that can make my job easier.
Pros: It is a quick, easy way to access a lot of relevant content regarding our members. It puts needed membership data at my fingertips.
Cons: It can be hard to extract date specific data.

It has been good. The experience with the trainings, set-up and overall use has been positive. We prefer this to the system we had in the past which did not provide us with the support we needed or updates we wanted. We are able to customize and make the information our own which is great.
Pros: The ease of use, assistance during set-up, and the customer service whenever we need help. The calendar management and mass communication tool is very good too.
Cons: The revenue reports cannot be customized which we would prefer. The ones they have are ok, could be better. Also the invoicing system and tracking you need to practice to get used to it. I usually go back to the training.

It was rough at first. I'm not very computer savvy - or at least with the backside of things. But I was SO appreciative of the helpful online chats! I pestered them so much at first that they started to know me! They were/are incredibly helpful. I have not had any bad or unhelpful experiences. The entire system, including the web page, once you learn it, is great. Its so nice to be able to pull articles online as well, that will help you with almost anything you need.
Pros: I spend most of my time working in the backside of Memberclicks managing the 3000 members that our Association has. I really find it very easy to locate any member by the searches that are available. I also like being able to modify the profile views and profile information. I believe our members also find the profile pages very helpful and user friendly. I also really appreciate the forms sections and the variety of registration forms that I have created makes my life much easier!
Cons: I have asked many times for a couple options. I totally understand why they can't do it, but it would make my life SO much easier - on the forms - If only there were a couple more options for the "status" of the forms. Right now, there is only active or Deleted. It would be amazing if there was a third option, something like "completed" so it will remain in the profile instead of completely disappearing (from their profile) when I have to delete them. I also still find the PERMISSIONS stuff just mind boggling. I really don't mess with them much, because its over my head I think... But I know they would help me with it if I asked.

Our overall experience with MemberClicks, now that it owned by Personify, was horrible. It's so unfortunate, because MemberClicks was once a great company to work with. In the future I will avoid any and all software products owned by Personify because of their heavy handed, high penalty policies that seem very scammy.
Pros: It was once an effective company that had good relationships with its customers.
Cons: Personify, which owns MemberClicks, has heavy handed, high penalty contract and billing policies which seem very scammy. The folks in charge of their billing department do not have phone capability. I tried for three days to get someone, ANYONE, to help me talk to an actual person. I received an email today (5/29/24) stating that my contract has already renewed, even though it is set to renew 6/1/24. Is it even legal to renew a companies contract early?

Pros: MemberClicks is a system that is easy to use and has a lot of features. It is particularly useful for associations with small staff teams where there isn't a dedicated database person available. Instead, multiple staff members can use the system. The integrated database, invoicing, forms, email marketing, website, and communications features mean that you won't have to learn how to use multiple systems or pay for them separately.
Cons: MemberClicks' all-in-one system lacks some of the specialized features of dedicated community and email marketing systems.

The most reliable thing MC did was to raise their monthly fee, like clockwork, every single year. The system needed work in 2011. By 2020, it was ridiculously outdated. I worked with someone to switch my association to the "new" platform, which should have been a seamless process. It was anything but, and I abandoned the process because it was painstaking and the improvements that I'd been begging them to make for nine years had not been implemented. Good riddance!
Pros: There was a great guy named [sensitive content hidden] on the Help Team. I was sad when he left the company.
Cons: It is grossly overpriced given the lack of technological progress that I witnessed between 2011 and 2020.

Started out great. Now we're extremely disappointed with the customer service and product not being able to meet the growing needs of our organization (small staff less than 10, and budget overall less than $1m). When engaging with the staff, its typically a "sorry, but it is what it is" outcome. Pressured to justify the increasing annual costs without any support from MC staff; poor focus on customer retention.
Pros: It helped us transition from what was mostly paper and heavy administrative to an electronic process for events and membership.
Cons: Extremely poor and delayed customer service. At times it takes days and multiple emails to get a response. The staff are always apologetic indicating changes are coming, but those improvements havent been experienced anytime in the past year. The product itself is not user friendly nor intuitive to assist in managing large events, lacks work-flow automation in communications, lacks standards/templates in communications and events - which requires a heavy administration time and effort.
