My experience with Cvent Event Management has been overall positive. The platform is an essential tool that keeps our event info and data centralized, helping improve organization, efficiency, and collaboration. While some workflows could be more streamlined, the overall functionality and reliability make it very valuable event management solution.
Pros: Cvent Event Management is an imperative tool for our organization and is used daily by teams across the company. One of the biggest benefits is that it keeps all of our events and event data organized in one central location, making it easy to manage registrations, communications, reporting, and event details efficiently.
Cons: The cons of Cvent Event Management are fairly limited, but there are areas where the platform could be more efficient. At times, editing information can be time consuming because it requires navigating through multiple pages and clicks to make simple updates.

Pros: Cvent is doing everything it can to keep up with the digital demands of its consumers, the technology industry, and the event industry.
Cons: Cvent still has its limitations. For instance, some of its functionalities are still a bit clunky from a user perspective.

Overall, I am completely pleased with the entire platform. I have multiple programs with multiple clients and everyone can use the platform with ease. It gives me the added layer of confidence I need to manage multiple programs at once!.
Pros: Cvent remains a completely trusted brand that has updated features to aid my venue sourcing and complete event management. I find the platform to be completely user friendly and have no trouble navigating the software.
Cons: I have been a long time user of Cvent and it remains the gold standard. NO cons and has updated features making it even more helpful and relevant!
Mai M. · Managing Director · Hospitality · March 13, 2026
Pros: The onsite support from Cvent staff at our conference was very helpful; they assisted with set up and ongoing support during the event. Onsite ticketing was also a breeze!
Cons: We experienced some difficulties with certain integrations and customizations with our management system.
Haley R. · Member Engagement · Education Management · March 5, 2026
Pros: I have used multiple event management platforms but Cvent by far is the most advanced solution which provides comprehensive solution from event planning, website, registration, app to on-site execution support.
Cons: It's complex to understand for new users and constant change in feature/ UI without proper communication to users makes it difficult to keep up with software.

The event management experience is very positive. Our attendees love the onsite experience and the registration process for online and in person events is easy.
Pros: We like the usability of the product and the positive end user experience with cvent event management. Cvent has great customer support and we have not experienced any bugs or issues in the 10+ years we used the platform.
Cons: While there are no major negatives or drawbacks about the platform, sometimes reporting can be cumbersome.

Overall, Cvent delivers end-to-end event management with strong governance and analytics, particularly suited for organizations running recurring, complex events. Value is maximized when teams invest in upfront templates, clear processes, and integration testing.
Pros: End to End workflow integration, configurable registration & forms is something that we use on daily basis for the event customization & Cvent really is advanced to accommodate our needs. Reporting & analytics is something we rely on for our numbers & for planning strategies
Cons: Since its robust, it is complex & sometimes requires lot of investment of time to understand certain features

Overall, Cvent is Just Okay. I do feel like the sales reps (during your software search) sell you "a lot," only for many of those features not to have been past Beta testing or not to be available yet... so that's a bit misleading. We did struggle with features not working on 'Game Day' and not being able to get ahold of our support team member, but I do think that was likely due to the time zone differences.
Pros: While my company utilized this platform for our one big event, which we hold every year, I felt the all-in-one user interface was a significant aspect to include in the package. Keeping each feature internal made my job easier in the long run.
Cons: I do feel like Cvent could have improved their ease of use throughout the app, perhaps automating a few more steps, or even considering restrictions and required portions so that vendors using the Exhibitor Portal stayed honest within our tiered offerings. I do wish their customer support team were more readily available. Oftentimes, we would get set up with a team member, and they would either leave their role before our event or be out of range if we needed them in the moment. Not very reliable.

Cvent is the gold standard for a reason. It transformed how we handle our major conferences. It gives me the confidence that nothing will slip through the cracks. Once you get past the initial training phase, it becomes an indispensable tool. It handles the chaos of event planning with structure and reliability that I have not found in other platforms. For anyone running large scale events, this is the engine you want running the show.
Pros: Cvent is a beast in the best way possible. I love the sheer depth of the platform. The registration features are incredibly customizable, allowing us to handle complicated attendee tracks without breaking a sweat. The OnArrival tool for check in is smooth and makes the first impression on attendees very professional. I also rely heavily on the reporting tools which give me granular data on everything from ticket sales to session attendance. It puts everything I need in one central hub so I do not have to juggle multiple spreadsheets.
Cons: Because it does so much, the learning curve is steep. It took me a while to really feel comfortable navigating the backend without second guessing myself. The interface in some areas feels a bit clunky and could use a modern refresh to match newer competitors. It is also a significant investment, so it might be overkill for smaller organizations just running simple meetups. Customer support is generally good but getting to the right person can sometimes take longer than I would prefer.
Maxwell P. · General Manager · Hospitality · December 9, 2025
Pros: Does a good job of informing attendees at a conference of where the location of different presentations are, easy to get information out to all attendees should there be alerts or changes, and easy to integrate the information
Cons: When we used it, some users reported that the information was incomplete or would frequently crash - these may be isolated or user based errors.
Desmond H. · Project Manager · Education Management · December 2, 2025
Pros: The customer support that comes with this product is incredibly helpful! We get 24/7 support. In addition, the customer sthat come to our conferences appreciate that their information is safe.
Cons: In my personal experience, I found that there was a bit of a learning curve to using this product. However there are resources online to help with this.

I've been using Cvent Event Management for several years and it's been a great tool for our 2 annual meetings. It helps me stay organized and confident that our attendees will have a great experience on the website. Did I mention that the customer support team is second to none?
Pros: I really like ease of creating events and the customer support is outstanding! The Event Management is a great value for the money.
Cons: I'm not a fan of Valerie. I feel like it just takes me in circles and I end up contacting customer support anyhow.
Charon S. · Sr. Manager, Accounting · Pharmaceuticals · October 28, 2025
Cvent has completely revolutionized the way we handled conference registration and promotion. The fact that everything from the conference website to the attendee list is available all within one space saves us time and effort again and again.
Pros: Cvent Event Management is a tool that streamlines all of my event's most important elements - an event website, attendee list, reporting features, badge printing and so much more.
Cons: There are some features that take some time and research to fully understand how to use to the fullest capability, but I have found both the Cvent Community and Cvent support to be invaluable in helping ensure I overcome any issues I encounter.
Allison B. · Corporate Events Specialist · Financial Services · October 21, 2025
Cvent event management is great overall. Having been to the Cvent Connect event, I've realised that I haven't been utilizing it to its full potential. Cvent always seems to be evolving, potentially more frequent catch ups with the customer success teams to run through product rollouts could be good to keep up to date.
Pros: Cvent management is a great tool that incorporates aspects of many different tools into one. There are a lot of different options for creativity and personalisation
Cons: Sometimes it can be tricky to navigate the website manager in terms of different languages for the same site.
Sam E. · Event Coordinator · Telecommunications · October 16, 2025
easy to use, straigthforward and made simple for the end user. appreciate the go to support where required
Pros: streamline and clear understanding of who to contact when. i like the idea that the solutions tie in with eachother , making the options to engage with other solutions easy.
Cons: i havent had loads of experience with the management side so dont have anything negative to say at this point
Josh B. · Deputy Head of Delivery · Events Services · October 16, 2025
Pros: That it was very clear and concise to navigate, i feel like you know where everything is with the help of people.
Cons: I have no cons, it was such an insightful event! if i had to say something small, it would be more accessibility to certain products.

Ive been using Cvent for over 10 years now, and it has definitely grown and enhanced alot over the years. I think its great that they have so many new integrations now which gives lots of options for different groups / users. I would like to see the Product Development requests prioritized though if its something that is a big pain point (budget functionality, or Reporting).
Pros: It is an all-encompassing tool / platform that has the most indepth features. We have looked at numerous other platforms to always compare and ensure that we are getting the best value for money - and this user interface always seems to be the most robust!
Cons: I think that there is too much emphasis on the "look" of things, rather than the functionality of things. Some features are available but not fully updated / meet the performance levels as they used to be before they were "updated", so it makes it hard to have a consistent structure and process. For Training, we have to re-teach it often, but not because the tool has developed but more so how to find the buttons has changed.

Cvent Event Management enhances smooth event registration and execution through customizable registration forms and live reporting capabilities.
Pros: There is nothing challenging than carrying out event planning and execution manually. That is why on my part I use Cvent Event Management to automate the entire process of event management from registration, venue selection to execution.
Cons: I am able to achieve my event management desires with the help of Cvent Event Management which pose no issue.
David M. · Director · Media Production · September 5, 2025
My overall experience with Cvent Event Management has been very positive. The platform brings together everything needed to plan and run events, registration, communications, check-in, and reporting into one system, which saved a lot of time and improved the attendee experience. There is a learning curve at the start, but once set up, it’s a powerful tool that makes our events run more smoothly and gives us great data for measuring success.
Pros: What I liked most about Cvent Event Management is that it brings everything into one central system. From registration and communications to onsite check-in and reporting. It saved time, made the attendee experience smoother, and gave us clear insights into event performance.
Cons: What I liked least about Cvent Event Management was the steep learning curve at the beginning. While it’s very powerful once you know your way around, the setup and customisation took longer than expected.
Marjorie K. · Founder · Events Services · August 27, 2025
it was ok. it was pricey and customer service was awful. it was easy to use, but we had to come up with our own workarounds because we couldnt customize as we wanted to.
Pros: fairly easy to set up your event, and the ability to duplicate it annually was nice. user interface was also easy to see.
Cons: worst customer service ever, with high employee turnover, which was not helpful in a crisis. especially on site.
ashley b. · project manager · Entertainment · August 25, 2025
Pros: Cvent Event Management allows me to plan and execute hybrid, in-person and virtual events. I also like that Cvent Event Management offers email marketing tools unlike alternatives.
Cons: Since I implemented Cvent Event Management in 2020, I have never encountered issues while registering, planning and executing events.
Michele M. · Team Coordinator · Telecommunications · August 21, 2025
Very positive. It’s a highly stable and professional platform we trust for IT and pharma events, from product launches to roadshows. Support can be slow, so we rely on the Community first, but the system itself has never failed us during an event. Great value if you use it fully and invest time in learning it.
Pros: The registration system and post-event follow-up tools. We love how easily we can track attendees, filter qualified leads for our clients, and send automated surveys. The email and website builder is also super intuitive—very visual and fast to work with.
Cons: The learning curve. Cvent is packed with features, but it takes time to master. There are constant updates and new tools, so you really have to stay on top of training. Also, the cost is high—especially for teams in Latin America.
Mario G. · Creative · Events Services · August 8, 2025
Pros: What I liked most about Cvent Event Management is how it centralized and automated every step of the event planning process. From registration and agenda building to email communications and reporting, everything was streamlined in one platform. The customizable registration forms and workflows saved us hours of manual work, and the ability to track real-time data gave us better control over attendee engagement and event performance. It made planning large-scale events feel far more manageable and efficient.
Cons: What I liked least about Cvent Event Management is the learning curve when first getting started. The platform is incredibly robust, which is great long-term, but it can feel overwhelming at first, especially for users who are new to event tech. Some features and settings aren't always intuitive and require training or support to fully understand. That said, once you get familiar with the system (and take advantage of Cvent’s support resources and knowledge base), it becomes a powerful tool that’s well worth the investment of time upfront.
Wilmer G. · Client Services Executive · Events Services · August 4, 2025
I really do think it is a great tool and it makes it super easy to keep track of registrations all in one place
Pros: It is a total game-changer for event planning! This platform makes it super easy to create landing pages for our events. The on arrival feature is a total lifesaver. Being able to check in attendees and print badges on the spot really levels up the whole experience for everyone involved. Plus, it's super handy for keeping track of who's actually shown up.
Cons: I wish the site designer was a little easier to use, as sometimes it is hard to move things around and can be a bit clunky.
