My favorite program to use with Tcc. This is very useful. Use it daily to complete my daily task in hand.
Pros: Great invoice system. The reports are very handy to go over before visiting them. Held me out a lot on identifying lost sales.
Cons: The quick function is very nice. Way to navigate around the stystem to get the result your looking for

It gets the job done but with a disconnect on all sides. There are other DMS systems out there that flow much better and answer a lot of things that we need and CDK just doesn't seem to want to bring their system into the 21st century.
Pros: Not entirely sure if I can list something that I like the most. I have looked into other DMS systems and thus far, over the past three years, I have found that CDK is well behind the times and I can't think of anything I like the most other than I have been using it for 14 years and I know how to navigate through it.
Cons: Almost everything, very difficult to find things within CDK that you don't know about. Just the other day I tried to find where I could delete something out of the system, vendor codes/sources, and it took me almost an hour to figure it out even with the "launch code search" function.

Great experience for the time I used CDK, it was a little difficult to learn the system at first, but once setup, it was a very smooth operation.
Pros: The part look up system, it worked very well. I really enjoyed the fact that when you type just partial part of a number you were looking for, it would pull all possibilites.
Cons: The adjustment system, such as bin counts. When adjusting a part out of inventory, sometimes it would adjust to a negative quantity, which would throw inventory levels off.

Lots of pros and cons with using CDK. There are not a lot of great comprehensive choices for dealer management systems. CDK is not cheap and the customer service isn't always great, but it is very easy to use and train employees.
Pros: Robust system that is able to handle multiple locations and multiple charts of accounts across manufacturers
Cons: customer service, implementation, and down-time

CDK Global is very expensive but they dominate the DMS space. Migrating DMS providers is a very disruptive proposition that favors continuing CDK Global utilization in our organizations. The recent data breach and subsequent long term service outage was a major disruption to our business and resulted in significant revenue loss and added labor to recover once service was re-established.
Pros: CDK Global is a very robust dealer management platform that integrates all aspects of dealer management.
Cons: CDK Global runs very slowly, it is very intuitive.

Overall pleasant experience with CDK. If I ever experience an issue, CDK support is wonderful. They will create a case, assign someone to assist you, and they will not close the case until you are satisfied with the outcome.
Pros: The integration with ADP makes it easy to import timesheets. The desktop tool and trend reporting functions are efficient. Everything you need located on one screen. If you like to move quickly, the enter button will become your best friend!
Cons: I do not have any issues utilizing CDK Global.

Pros: We switched from Dealertrack DMS for our Powersports department and it has been a game changer with our customers, part management, invoicing, accounting, etc.
Cons: The software interface looks very old school, early 2000's AOL style.
Brittany K. · Collections Manager · Automotive · April 16, 2024
Pros: Our dealership came from not using a CRM tool at all, to using E-Leads/CDK. We were manually tracking our customers in our own DMS and data base, and our follow up and reporting was based on a notepad! The best part of CDK is the the CRM aspect and ease with following up with customers. The product makes it very easy to reach out to prospects, and to follow up on old ones and ones that have already been sold. There is the ability to write notes about after-the-sale items that need notated, and everyone can read them there is no lack of connectivity!
Cons: Customer support! That is our only complaint. We had an issue where certain leads from our own website would come in based out of a Wisconsin address. No one at CDK was able to know why, mainly pointing the finger at our own website. CDK has trouble talking to and working out problems with other third-party providers. There has been a work-around implemented to work out the issue however.

CDK is great, it has many features built in one single product.
Pros: I like that CDK has many important functions that add value to our daily operations. I like the fact it serves many functions in an all in one software.
Cons: I wish CDK was more user friendly. On the F&I side, be ready to train employees for weeks before being fully ready to sign a customer up.
Jeffrey B. · Sales Manager · Automotive · November 27, 2023
Over the nearly 30 years with CDK the only feeling I have towards them is regret for sticking with such a horrible company. I hope this helps anyone who is shopping for a quality DMS. Look at AutoMate first, I am not paid by them, actually I pay them, but I just regret not making the switch years ago.
Pros: There really isn't anything good to say about this company. Our company has been with them for nearly 30 years and every time the contract comes due they treat us like a new customer. The always try to increase their rates substantially and they will never miss an opportunity to overcharge. They charge top dollar for antiquated software and exploit their customers based on their contracts.
Cons: CDK is a Con. Their business model feels borderline criminal and was probably easier to execute when Reynolds and CDK were pretty much the only options. Now that there are multiple other options, that are both more cost effective and just overall better products with better customer service I would look elsewhere. There is a reason why the company net value is dropping like a rock.

30 plus years I have seen this product develop and just keep getting better.
Pros: Ease of use and customizable options make this the obvious choice
Cons: Service documents must be printed in order to archive. Would be great to save paper and print right to archive.

ELead is an essential tool for our dealership. I've worked with many other CRM's for dealers and eLead definitely deliveries what most dealerships need as a CRM tool
Pros: Easy to manage and use. Simple interface but is very powerful. It can be as complex as you want
Cons: Integration with inventory cost sometimes isn't the best
Gleber M. · SALES MANAGER · Automotive · April 27, 2023
The financial and dealership side is the only value that we found in this program. We are not happy with what they promised us as far as for our service department and they don’t seem interested in solving their issues anytime soon.
Pros: I really like the financial side and tracking of the company financials within the program. They do a very good job at this software does a good job with the dealership sales side that seems to be where they spend most of their effort making it right
Cons: This software does not have a proper scheduler that functions for a service center. This software does not have a good functionality of a service department scheduling of technicians might as well be nonexistent. This company does not do a very good job at customer service and knowledgeable staff.
Danny P. · President · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · January 10, 2023
Pros: User friendly. Integration with 180 is awesome.
Cons: It's when entering amount in EIV that you can't use dot (.)
Krisell C. · Accounting clerk · Automotive · December 22, 2022
Pros: It is easy to navigate when trying to deal with accounting information.
Cons: I cannot think of anything, except if it happens to go down for a while.
Rachel M. · support services · Automotive · December 22, 2022
I only use this program for making company PO's or editing the PO's.
Pros: The ease of making Purchase Orders and editing them.
Cons: None, i like this program just the way it is. I have never had any issues with it.
kim r. · administrative · Automotive · December 7, 2022
pretty underwhelming.
Pros: Reporting is very robust, if you know how to look for what you're looking for.
Cons: Interface is stuck in the early 2000s. Missing some integrations and tools that other CRMs had built in from the beginning. Support never gets back to you, takes weeks for account reps to respond.
Hannah S. · Digital Marketing Coordinator · Automotive · November 21, 2022
Pros: ELEAD CRM integrates very well from CDK DMS. It has useful features like fully customizable templates, Google Maps and phone number reverse lookup.
Cons: The integration between sales and service can be improved. Perhaps some notification that a customer is in the service department on a particular day. Perhaps improve the lookup of service RO's.
Mark D. · BDC MGR · Automotive · November 18, 2022
Pros: It can work for making POs and other accounting managements
Cons: Outdated system and not easy to use. It also is buggy on computer and if you hit one wrong key it can make a bigger task than originally
Anonymous User · Logistics · Transportation/Trucking/Railroad · November 8, 2022
Pros: It is efficient and very simple to use.
Cons: Smith can lag occasionally but usually corrects itself quickly
Charisma B. · Service coordinator · Automotive · August 13, 2022
Our company just switched to this system and we had a week of training (which inconveniently fell on our busiest week of the month). It is a simple program to use but had some issues populating from our old system and with our inventory.
Pros: Data mining to call hot leads, cold leads, equity customers and to know when a customer's lease is ending. Customer birthday calls since we can scan driver's licenses into the system. The system alerts us when we get the car a customer is looking for!
Cons: The app has not been working and it is a very needed tool. The development department has been working on it but we are not receiving any updates.
Nesi L. · sales and leasing associate · Automotive · August 1, 2022
Eleads got very comfortable with their huge customer base that no enhancements have been made in years. The version they have now would be great in 2007. They are lagging behind, they know it but do not care since most dealerships do not want the hassle of switching.
Pros: The desk log is the only good thing about this sorry CRM
Cons: The reports are a waste of time. You will rarely get good numbers from there. I do most of the reports manually. You want to see specific numbers? Pay them 4-5k and wait 6 months for them to generate the report hoping it will pull the right info (it will not)
Anonymous User · Sales Manager · Automotive · July 25, 2022
I've been using CDK since 1998 when they were ADP. I was using it daily until a couple of months ago as of late I only use it to do inventories.
Pros: About the only thing I like about this is creating credit memos but even this process needs some work.
Cons: Pretty much the software needs a complete overhaul. Every process requires a lot of extra steps. menus are virtually nonexistent and what's there is useless.
Paul B. · Parts Manager · Automotive · June 24, 2022
Pros: I like that it has guides on what to search for.
Cons: I don’t like the customer service and how long it takes to resolve an issue.
Tonya S. · Marketing Manager · Automotive · May 11, 2022
Pros: We use CDK for everything at our dealership. It is the best product out there!
Cons: Does get a little pricey. If you want additional options, you will have to pay for it.
