I have tried dealer track and also dealer Center. But my overall experience with dealertrack is that it can be very convenient at times but then sometimes not necessary.
Pros: What I liked most about dealertrack was the very convenient credit applications and clientele integration.
Cons: What I really like the least about dealer track was the confusion on how to get to different portals. Sometimes it could be a little confusing and you feel lost. But once you get the hang of it it gets easier but it still feels like you're still trying to figure it out.

Dealertrack is on the only DMS I have used. I think that all departments are in one place with one login. You can also intergrade other products such as provision and Autotrader, without having to have multiple logins.
Pros: Very organized and convenient to have sales financing and service all in one place.
Cons: The biggest problem with this DMS is that it crashes a lot. Sometimes it will be down for days.

Pros: The ease of use and simple integration made for a very easy transition.
Cons: Overall there is not any particular thing that I dislike about Dealertrack.

We have used Dealertrack for many many years, and have always been thankful to have them as partners. They save us so much time on the backend side of things that we can in turn use doing other more lucrative things.
Pros: As far as we are concerned, Dealertrack is about the best you can get in the industry. For how complex of a system it has to be, they do a great job with integrations and info management that save us TONS of time on the back end.
Cons: It can be confusing, and it is not intuitive to use. There is definitely a learning curve, and each system is different, but in terms of options available, I believe it's the best in the business.

Pros: Originally, we went from not using a DMS tool at all, to selecting Dealertrack DMS. We integrated with a lot of other Cox dealer-tools at the same time, and the functionality is great. Dealertrack DMS offers great connectivity between different dealership functions, including Service, Sales, follow up, and Business Office management. My favorite use of the DMS is following up on old deals and looking at when we sold a customer, what vehicle, and for how much.
Cons: The only complaint I could think of with Dealertrack DMS is that it seems that the product does not get updated as frequently as it could. The user-interface has not changed in 10 years, from what I've experienced.

Pros: I like that we can utilize this product in every department at our dealership. Service and repair, parts inventory management, vehicle inventory, AND Buy Here Pay Here customer management.
Cons: Stocking parts in and creating invoices in the same process could be easier.
Brittany K. · BHPH Manager · Automotive · November 27, 2023
Pros: the integration with finance companies we use makes the pre-approval process easy for customers online and brings us more leads
Cons: we have been on dealertrack since the beginning and have zero complaints

Overall it is easy to use for running credit apps.
Pros: The features are user friendly and quick to fill out.
Cons: The least liked portion of dealertrack for me, is trying to locate updated versions of the specific bank forms to file with the contracts.

When setting up we had a good dealer track representative that made it clear to understand
Pros: Speed is important so it's quick to pull information needed to print for DMV
Cons: It's needed for new PA Dmv identity policy for penndot here in PA must be printed with every deal sent up to the state. Now more costs and time are now mandatory for car dealerships

Horrible
Pros: Nothing to like absolutely awful It is like playing ps5 and then switching to Atari
Cons: Everything it has to offer can be done in other systems so much more efficiently
David H. · Service manger · Automotive · November 27, 2022
I've had no problems using it- l've had great customer service, they're always available to answer questions and help you get through the apps!
Pros: I can get my credit report and submit credit app all in same place! Multiple options for lenders in one site!
Cons: It can get confusing if you're not trained how to input the taxes and extra fees.
Tracy M. · Office Manager · Automotive · November 22, 2022
Pros: Financing can be complicated, but this makes the whole process very simple.
Cons: No real negatives to speak of, very smooth experience.
Dan C. · Manager · Automotive · November 4, 2022
Pros: The ease of navigating the system is wonderful.
Cons: Access to chat seems to be difficult to find. When I need to reference something mentioned in the initial chat, it is a bit difficult to relocate those terms.
Briana B. · OFFICE MANAGER · Automotive · October 20, 2022
Pros: User Friendly. 360 Help Button. Multi Functional Report variety & options are second to none
Cons: I wasnt too find of the Payroll with Dealertrack, however, couldnt be more happy with the switch to Netchex.
Jacquelyn P. · Payroll Admin & Warranty Clerk · Automotive · October 13, 2022
Dealertrack is middle of the road software that is somewhat easy to use.
Pros: Entering inventory is easy. Connecting to our site is easy.
Cons: Design and layout of some features is not easy, visually appealing.
Sean H. · Inventory coordinator · Automotive · September 20, 2022
Pros: Super easy to use especially for uploaded deals and stips
Cons: Not very mobile friendly, very hard to log in with a mobile device
Tami G. · owner · Automotive · July 14, 2022
Tracking multiple vehicles across multiple locations within the state is wonderful. Takes a good while to learn the system in a comprehensive way, but works extremely well when you do
Pros: Easy to build tickets for clients and to put parts on tickets. Very customizable
Cons: Too bulky a process for easy retail sales
Lynn O. · SERVICE WRITER · Automotive · June 29, 2022
Overall I like the program. Right now I only use it to do inventories. The inventory program is 1 of the best but could use some minor improvements.
Pros: The program is not overly complicated and easy to use overall
Cons: Sometimes the features are a little basic.
Paul B. · Parts Manager · Automotive · June 24, 2022
Pros: Easy of use. Organized. Easy to visually look at inventory. Feeds data to various websites with minimal hiccups and reliable.
Cons: User interface is somewhat outdated and needs a fresh look. Easier ways to search for inventory.
Zack P. · Inventory Purchaser · Automotive · June 2, 2022
Pros: The shortcut key options to create a deal or add a new line to a work order were the best for saving time, especially when creating multiple sales for the same fleet customer, or multiple PDI work orders.
Cons: The accounting integration could have been improved to incorporate accessory sales and gross profits. We would have to add accessories and manually calculate the gross profit on the sale and installation.
Barrie W. · General Manager · Automotive · May 26, 2022
Pros: I love how easy Dealertrack DMS is for our used car lot. We use it daily to track our inventory and submit finance deals through outside lenders. The documents provided are very helpful for our business as well. Its very easy to learn!
Cons: Nothing that I do not like about Dealertrack DMS
Melissa C. · Sales and finance · Automotive · January 11, 2022
Like my title says. Best bang for your buck.
Pros: Finance finance finance! You need a way to submit your deals, the old school sending customers to the bank themselves doesn’t work anymore.
Cons: The wait time to get signed up. Customer service could be much better.
Rick L. · General Mananger · Automotive · December 16, 2021
Pros: It is point and click, very easy to use. Everyone can be proficient from day one
Cons: Has an occasional gremlin where a trade in will show up sold to the customer who murchased
Chad J. · GM · Automotive · November 29, 2021
The past year I have been using it has been great! Again customer service is top notch!
Pros: ease of use and custoemr service. drop down menus are great to work with, search tools are also great.
Cons: The system can be a little glitchy and often times will close out without saving your work. When copying an app over it doesn't carry all of the info over either
Natasha M. · Sales and Finance Manager · Automotive · June 18, 2021
Easy to track funding , like that we can upload lender requirements directly to the site
Pros: Inputting info easy to do, communication with lenders is good.
Cons: Going in between multiple applications with one customer, navigation is redundant finding forms and lenders is not user friendly
