Very user-friendly, good support structure, reliable software, helpful features, full integration with MoreSteam training programs and their simulation software. EngineRoom is very user centric.
Pros: $76
Cons: If you are used to software of the competition is takes a bit of effort to get used to EngineRoom...which is understandable since it is a different product. The adaption period was short and easy for me since the structure is clear. But it will require a bit of a different way of thinking.

I find EngineRoom to be a delightful experience and very attractive to those who are learning the power of data analytics.
Pros: The statistical side of EngineRoom is very solid, but I am impressed with the visual experience. This includes ease of use with click and drag data entry and attractive easy to see output. And it includes simulation, not just Monte Carlo but discrete events. It fully integrates with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies with insights from AI.
Cons: At present the number of independent variables in multiple linear regression is limited to 10, but this is enough for most applications. And I hope EngineRoom will continue to build on its Machine Learning capabilities. This kind of predictive analysis is becoming more and more important in Six Sigma methodology.

Experience has been excellent in learning lean sigma tools that can do in minutes that would take hours in Google Sheet or Excel
Pros: User tech support by email is very responsive Toolset is extremely helpful for small lean sigma projects The simulation tool is amazing for as-is & to-be process modeling The new & well-intentioned "Wexie" AI helper chatbot is sometimes accurate; and often directionally correct.
Cons: User Interface [UI] is buggy; data sets need to be small; additional preprocessing is often needed in Google Sheet or Excel

My experience has been excellent. EnginRooms suite of tools are robust enough to support substantial analytical work, including DOE, yet the platform remains intuitive and offers helpful prompts for new users. It delivers exceptional value.
Pros: As a Lean Six Sigma trainer and coach, I value how EngineRoom is designed to guide a user through their problem-solving journey. The tool selection suggestions for each stage of DMAIC are right on point.
Cons: Like many browser‑based applications, it has a few usability quirks. At times, browser settings may need adjustment to display all interface options. I’d also welcome future enhancements that make exporting visualizations more seamless.

I am a retired Quality consultant, now 77 and rusty with tech. Was hard for me. I am president of Tomorrow's Stars charity www.tstars.org and friend of [sensitive content hidden]. I have 4 students in Ghana using the program as a donation, thank you very much. I help them with six sigma theory, project selection, then selecting tools and querying/interpreting the data. Worked very well for me as a coach for them. I didn't use the Engine Room support but my students did.
Pros: It is extraordinarily powerful with simple and complex statistical tools. Even beyond the tools introduced in Moresteam. The analysis is presented with the statistics so that you knowledge level is challenged. Very impressed as a retired six sigma black belt and consultant.
Cons: My age, experience and purpose!! I struggled with moving the data around and storing studies. Once I got to the analysis, it was very useful as a student and coach. See below.

I used MoreSteam’s EngineRoom software as part of my Lean Six Sigma learning journey, and I found it very easy to use. The ability to visually see data through charts and graphs was especially helpful in strengthening my understanding of the course material—even when working through more advanced topics like statistical analysis. The intuitive interface and clear visualizations assisted me and my classmates with a greater understanding.
Pros: Very easy to use and intuitive, and the visual management is outstanding. I like that you can do everything with this EngineRoom instead of using multiple types of software.
Cons: I am unable to think of any cons of using EngineRoom. It always worked well, was intuitive and visually pleasing.

Pros: EngineRoom is a user friendly tool which helps us to improve internal Process , also support in providing templates to support Internal Data analysis , makes it easier to start analyzing data.
Cons: At initial level it can be confusing how to use it , the start process but once you get use to the steps it is easy. You have to put new comment for your new section separately. Personally, I did not find challenge when I was working on it.

My overall experience with EngineRoom was very positive. The platform provided valuable tools and resources that supported my learning throughout the Green Belt course. Although there was a bit of a learning curve at first, I found it effective and helpful for applying Lean Six Sigma concepts in practical ways.
Pros: What I liked most about EngineRoom was how it supported my learning during the Green Belt course. The platform made it much easier to understand key concepts and apply tools directly to real-world examples, which really helped me develop my skills.
Cons: What I liked least about EngineRoom was that sometimes it took a little time to get used to the different features and functionalities. However, once I became more familiar with the platform, it was much easier to navigate.

An overall excellent experience with the tool and I would highly recommend it to aspiring corporates/collogues. I've gained much more deeper insights on the uniquely designed tools and features and helps a lot in my professional path.
Pros: Engine room is a one-stop solution with value for money solutions for the corporates. It enables Lean Six Sigma tool, seamlessly embedded in Excel or through a cloud‑based mechanism, well suited for DMAIC and other improvement methodologies A super useful tool to the highly motivated engineers to collaborate and enhance effectiveness
Cons: I feel it needs a bit more enhancements in the data dashboards, although the learning curve designed on the tool is very effective to precisely understand and obtain data analysis Not yet used the dashboard data feature, but it seems to be not much eye catching for first time users.

I used EngineRoom during the Lean Six Sigma course and successfully completed all exercises. The biggest value for me was how the charts visually supported my understanding of the course material—even the more complex topics like statistical analysis. The user interface and chart visualization were so effective that they inspired me to propose improvement ideas for our company. I’ve already shared these suggestions with our managers, as I see strong potential for added value.
Pros: User experience, data analysis, and the learning curve are the best terms to describe my experience with EngineRoom. Once I got oriented, it became nearly intuitive to prepare new charts, explore different options, and achieve great results with just a few clicks. It felt like stepping into a new dimension of process and data understanding.
Cons: When I saw EngineRoom for the first time, I was about to give up—it felt overwhelming. But after spending about 8 minutes reading the starting instructions, I was able to get into it and continue improving my skills. The initial learning curve was steep, but the guidance helped me move forward.

I personally like EngineRoom since it helps in simulation of your design. It is helpful particular in DFSS. The DFSS is recommended using EngineRoom to avoid rework in the later part of product cycle.
Pros: I liked most about EngineRoom is the Data Analysis Tools like DOE, Regression and Monte Carlo Simulation. You can use the VOC tools and convert the customer needs to requirements and validate your design using the above tools effectively.
Cons: Almost all tools of EngineRoom are ok however, Design Score Card can be improvised. Excel was better in my experience.

EngineRoom has been a valuable tool in our operational improvement projects. It simplifies complex statistical analysis and makes process improvement data more accessible for non-technical users. With integrated dashboards and clean visualization, it’s easy to present data to stakeholders. While there are areas for improvement—particularly in advanced features and support—the overall value for money is strong. We've been able to drive measurable improvements in quality and efficiency thanks to the insights EngineRoom helped us uncover.
Pros: Intuitive user interface and easy navigation across statistical tools Great selection of templates and data analysis functions Dashboards are clean and customizable Excellent for Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement projects Cloud-based access allows for easy team collaboration It is Value for Money
Cons: Some advanced statistical features require manual calculation or external tools Limited flexibility in visual customization (chart styles, themes, etc.) Learning curve can be a bit steep for users without a statistics background Customer support response time could be faster

fantastic, the very best, could not be a better software for decision making and data analysis that provides customer and business data support
Pros: customer support is fantastic, provides excellent data for decision making, we have come a long way from using a simple spreadsheet
Cons: nothing is just to modern and our previous tools do not compare, its like comparing a donkey with a f1 sports car.

We are very happy that we made the switch from Minitab to Engineroom because of the better cost and it's integration with Traction.
Pros: Engineroom is extremely user friendly and is very straightforward for our project owners to use. The support team is very helpful as well.
Cons: There is not much to list as far as cons for Engineroom. It is very well integrated with Traction. It is not user customizable which might be an issue for some.

It has been a great experience since I have learned a lot from all the courses I have taken, my work skills have improved, which has allowed me to be a more complete and competitive professional.
Pros: It is a tool that with step-by-step instructions is easy to use, which makes the user experience very good. It has many topics in which you can delve into to increase skills and knowledge in a very complete way, such as data analysis.
Cons: It's really hard to find any cons, it's such a complete and user-friendly tool. Maybe they should continue expanding the course portfolio.

My overall experience with EngineRoom was a positive one! It successfully aided me in my journey of Yellow belt training
Pros: EngineRoom was great! If I wasn't 100% sure on a topic EngineRoom provided great deep dives and extra information to help me grasp the concepts
Cons: One thing I did not enjoy about EngineRoom was the quiz at the end of each chapter. One recommendation I would have is to provide different questions to answer after different attempts at the quizzes.
Emma S. · Maintenance Scheduler · Automotive · August 5, 2025

My overall experience with EngineRoom has been very positive. The platform promotes structured collaboration, efficient task management, and clear communication among team members. It helped streamline our workflows and maintain project clarity. While there’s always room for minor improvements, EngineRoom provided a solid foundation for productive teamwork and successful project delivery.
Pros: EngineRoom offers a user-friendly interface and well-structured workflow, making collaboration and task management smooth and efficient. I especially appreciated the clear project visibility, quick feedback loops, and the supportive team environment that encouraged continuous improvement and learning
Cons: At times, the platform felt a bit rigid in terms of customization options for workflows and task tracking. A bit more flexibility or integration with external tools could improve efficiency for specific project needs. However, these were minor issues and didn’t significantly impact overall productivity.

The more I used it, the more comfortable it becomes using software that is object oriented vs windows based.
Pros: You can't beat the price for the content. Not only statistical analyses but also LSS tools. Then process playground to come along for the ride makes it a slam dunk purchase.
Cons: All of the standard features are there. If you need more tweaks to graphs, sometimes they aren't there. But standard content/features are there.
Kevin K. · Principal · Management Consulting · August 3, 2025
Pros: Engine Room was affordable for our business and helped us learned strategies to handle data effectively.
Cons: However, as the usage of the site was new to me it would be nice if there were a smaller learning curve, or additional trainings available.
