Opus is a robust behavioral health software built for treatment facilities and group practices of 5+ clinicians. By unifying CRM, EHR, and RCM into one platform, Opus eliminates the operational complexity of scaling — from multi-provider scheduling and documentation to facility-wide claims processing. The EHR features AI-powered Copilot for generating progress notes in-person and via telehealth, customizable workflows, and real-time insights across your provider team. The CRM automates patient tracking, census management, and referral pipelines at scale. Opus handles the administrative weight of growing organizations: insurance verification, e-prescribing, lab integration, outcomes measurement, and claims processing for UB-04 and CMS-1500 forms. Scheduling, telehealth, and video conferencing are fully integrated. Opus is the operational backbone for behavioral health organizations ready to grow.

Thus far, the staff has been great. The customer service is excellent. We have been appreciative of their ability to adapt and customize the software for us.
Pros: The user friendly interface. Group notes with ideas. Proper use of AI to help clinicians, while providing them more time to work with clients.
Cons: The billing software and clearing house used in the backside of the system does not interface with many of our payer sources.

Our experience with Opus has been so positive. [sensitive content hidden] has been available to answer questions, send videos to help us access specific features, and scheduled regular meetings for focused problem solving.
Pros: I appreciated having [sensitive content hidden] as our guide to answer questions and troubleshoot issues that have come up along the way. The processes in Opus make sense and are easy to learn!
Cons: We have not had specific concerns that were not able to be resolved by talking with [sensitive content hidden]. We have also appreciated access to Opus Academy to learn more about different aspects of the program.

I had a great experience with Opus and with [sensitive content hidden]. She was so patient and taught me so much. I loved being able to make my own forms or using parts of premade forms it really was so easy.
Pros: I have been working with Opus for just over 6 months, and I have had an incredible experience. [sensitive content hidden] has been a great teacher moving us slowly in the beginning so that we got acclimated to the platform and then answering my questions and helping me to understand how I could customize things to meet the exact needs of our organization. She was organized and made it very easy to keep track of where we were and where we are going. Having the session recorded helped immensely to be able to go back and review areas that I thought I had but wasn’t quite there.
Cons: the only really con but isn't a con is learning in the beginning there is a lot to learn, but [sensitive content hidden] made it easy by giving me chunck at a time that we managable.

OPUS is a powerful platform with the capacity to transform how services are delivered. My overall experience has been very positive—it's intuitive, well-designed, and built to meet real-world needs. The main challenge has been getting partner organizations to actually use it, especially those more accustomed to traditional or paper-based systems. Adoption takes time, but the potential impact is undeniable.
Pros: The ability to streamline care coordination, expand telehealth services, and access real-time client data—all in one user-friendly platform. OPUS brings everything together in a way that helps teams work more efficiently, reduce duplication, and deliver better client outcomes. It also supports rural and tribal health programs by making it easier to track services, manage referrals, and stay connected across departments and providers.
Cons: After the agreement was complete, the sales rep became pushy about setting up electronic payments, even though the tribal government I was working for did not process payments via ACH. It created some unnecessary pressure during the onboarding phase. Ultimately it was resolved.

It was a smooth transition from our old system to Opus. They were quick to respond to the questions and concerns we had!
Pros: I am a scheduler and I love the calendar system! Opus works great for our company and our needs for our cients!
Cons: When we first started using Opus there was not a "Today" button, something that you could hit to default to the current day. I simply suggested it to the Opus team and they added the feature!
Darla O. · Intake Coordinator · Mental Health Care · November 6, 2025
Opus is challenging to me because I have worked the same program for 13 years. Opus has a lot of assistance with each problem I have. Opus has all the materials my office needs to continue to be successful.
Pros: All the features Opus has to offer. The program is fast and assistance readily awaits for all of my questions. The training with access to rewatch the videos is a major plus!
Cons: The way that the reports print. Would prefer PDF files and an easier way to add and print the therapist pay hours.
Cathy C. · Front Office Mgr · Mental Health Care · July 20, 2025
10/10 - The transition from our old EHR to this new system was a breeze. I would recommend it. We felt supported the whole time.
Pros: The level of support from the Opus team. They really try to work together to problem solve until an issue is fixed. They also take their time when showing you, their processes.
Cons: Some of the layout isn't the easiest to read. Ex. grey text Also, some of the billing layout isn't the easiest for your eyes to follow.

It has been a blessing to work with [sensitive content hidden] in getting this new EHR in place. This OPUS system has the ability to help us push our agency forward and focus on service provision for those who need it most.
Pros: OPUS was extremely easy to use and navigate. The people we worked with were extremely personable and supportive through the process. Our providers were able to catch on to the system easily, which decreased a lot of stress we have experienced with other systems.
Cons: We wanted both forms to be fully ready to go before we launched. We had enough to get our personnel started, but it would have been nice to have a few more details smoothed out before the launch.
Sarah A. · Assistant Director · Mental Health Care · June 27, 2025
Overall, love the user-friendly environment, the connectivity amongst different parts of the platform, the automatic billing features, and the modern interface. Also love the affordability.
Pros: The amount of training and meetings offered in the Onboarding process is setting us up to be overly competent in understanding and utilizing Opus.
Cons: The only thing so far has been that my 2 onboarding specialists were not aware of "Auto-Pay" being a feature that could enable automatic billing, whereas the initial person selling the platform to us and demoing it, stated this was a feature. I didn't love hearing this important difference and that my specialists were not aware of this, and still finding out if 'auto-pay' is a feature I will have access to. However, both of my onboarding specialists reassured me that if it was initially presented, then it should be a feature!

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with OPUS. [sensitive content hidden] was our main contact and she was amazing. The quick responses to emails/questions were greatly appreciated. She was great at communicating how their process worked and why we had to do things a certain way. When you have to meet with someone often it is great for it to be someone you enjoy!
Pros: The team we worked with. OPUS allowed us to make a difficult transition much smoother and be with us during every step.
Cons: I would have liked a little more authority in some of the meetings. For example, the CRM set up meetings. Our team had no idea what we were doing so taking the lead and helping explain and guide us a little more would have saved time.
Avery G. · Data Analyst · Mental Health Care · June 9, 2025
Opus has a small business feel in terms of their assistance and accommodation, yet the system feels very high-end and meets all of the needs of our mental health practice.
Pros: It is very intuitive. The form building is easy to learn. Our Onboarder, [sensitive content hidden], is very dedicated, patient and helpful. She is a great teacher.
Cons: We are still learning the system, so we do not have any Cons to report. I am hoping more features can be customized for our clinic.
Jennifer S. · Unit Leader · Mental Health Care · May 9, 2025
Our overall experience with OPUS was overwhelmingly positive. The entire team demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a remarkable commitment to thorough, personalized attention throughout our entire working relationship.
Pros: The entire OPUS team is incredibly professional with a thorough and personalized attention to detail. Their ability to customize their platform to the unique needs of our practice was unlike any other EHR we had encountered in the mental health industry. Furthermore, their integrated CRM was one of their most appealing features, as it would allow us to track a client from their first phone call to final session. Amazing!!
Cons: In the end we opted to stay with our current EHR only because of the complexities within our own team. OPUS had provided everything we were looking for and had gone above and beyond to provide us with assurances that what we needed, they could provide. I have nothing negative to say about working with the OPUS team or their platform.
Angie T. · COO · Health, Wellness and Fitness · April 28, 2025
They were honest about requests that were not immediately feasible or would require costly customization, which helped us trust them even more. If you need an integrative solution for your EHR, CRM, and reporting requirements, RUN, don't walk, to set up a meeting with OPUS.
Pros: Our company of 60-70 people was initially hesitant to switch EHR systems, given past experiences with companies that overpromised and underdelivered. However, OPUS has proven to be effective, considerate, and trustworthy. They patiently addressed every question and concern from our team before we committed to their services. Their software is user-friendly and intuitive, as demonstrated in every demo. I am not aware of any other company that can match OPUS's combination of EHR and CRM capabilities, along with its endless customization options to meet your practice's specific needs, whether it's feature requests or specific reports.
Cons: Given their innovative approach, I'm confident they're already considering improvements to present custom reports in a clean, easy-to-read dashboard, rather than in a spreadsheet format.
Sophie K. · Operations Specialist · Mental Health Care · April 28, 2025
Overall, I am very pleased with the EHR systems and their team. It is very user friendly and easy to navigate not only for the staff but for the clients as well.
Pros: It is extremely user friendly. Customer service has been great.
Cons: When moving between locations, it always defaults to the home screen, instead of where you were looking. Example, I am looking at patients in one location, but want to see clients in second location, when changing locations, screen goes back to home instead of staying in patients.
Tabatha R. · HR Generalist · Mental Health Care · March 24, 2025
Great! She was a great trainer, with great experience.
Pros: Very Informative. I like Janelle. She gave of good information.
Cons: Nothing. Great training. I would to have her train me again.
Markeeta C. · Admission Coordinator · Human Resources · March 11, 2025
Convenient with the amount of training time available and the customer service rep [sensitive content hidden] is very responsive and helpful.
Pros: I like the amount of training time that is available and the customer service. Easy to get answers when help is needed.
Cons: I haven't had enough time to work in the system to know what I dislike about Opus
Ashly M. · Admissions Coordinator · Mental Health Care · March 10, 2025
I am new to the system. So far, so good.
Pros: It's user friendly and easy to navigate.
Cons: All of the forms not being in alphabetical order.
Nzinga A. · CEO · Mental Health Care · February 12, 2025
Fantastic, highly encourage people to check it out, it has been easy and great to work with them.
Pros: fantastic customer service and ability to support us while going through such big transitions
Cons: There was a couple pieces of integration we hoped for, but honestly we hear it is on its way, so far not much at all!
Phillip H. · Director · Health, Wellness and Fitness · February 6, 2025
great so far! the team has been super responsive and moving quickly
Pros: Very simple and straightforward to use- user intuitive
Cons: practice suite side of onboarding, feels outsourced and disconnected
colleen l. · owner · Mental Health Care · January 29, 2025
Overall I have appreciated the patience shown by both the OPUS team and practice suite team. I was initially worried that within a month or two we would be left on our own. This has not been the case we have continued to have guidance and direction as we have become more and more familiar and comfortable with the system. For this I am grateful!
Pros: We have found Opus EHR to be visually appealing and user-friendly. We especially appreciate features such as client messaging, scheduling, appointment reminders, and comprehensive client record management.
Cons: A primary concern during implementation has been the lack of timely issue resolution. We encountered situations where clients received reminders during the early morning hours (1am-4am) or did not receive sent messages. These issues often persisted for weeks before being resolved. When a problem required escalation to the developers, we typically experienced delays of two weeks or more. These delays caused significant inconvenience and frustration for both our clients and our team.
Jasmine M. · Executive director Therapist · Health, Wellness and Fitness · January 22, 2025
It's been great so far. [sensitive content hidden] has been very sweet.
Pros: Being able to assign a provider to each patient. Patient profiles are easy to use and navigate.
Cons: I wish there was a way to auto-populate the information that the clients fill out on their intake form to their patient profile. It's a little bit of a hassle to copy and paste from the intake form to the patient profile.
Naomi P. · Admin and AR · Mental Health Care · January 16, 2025
I love that I can make forms and easily update them for our clinics use!
Pros: The ease of use and the fact that it is user friendly.
Cons: We cannot mark whether we have billed when using our own biller. We also had a discrepancy in what was told to us and what we were charged for.
Rachel W. · CFO and COO Managing Partner · Hospital & Health Care · January 13, 2025
Positive. The staff have been very responsive.
Pros: The program is very user friendly and the 24/7 support.
Cons: I do not have any negative feedback at this time. We are in the implementation phase and it is going smoothly.
Carrie F. · Director of Finanace · Hospital & Health Care · January 13, 2025
We have had a wonderful experience so far with this company. They work very fast to complete tasks and are very good at assisting us with things that we need to complete.
Pros: The Trainer Janelle. She is very helpful and patient.
Cons: Nothing so far. We are very pleased. However, we would like to see better pricing for migration for patient files that are not in use.
Dr. Eunita H. · Chief Operations officer · Hospital & Health Care · January 9, 2025
I'm satisfied with the help and assistance from OPUS
Pros: The communication and assistance through the onboarding process.
Cons: The onboarding process took some time due to all of the features of OPUS.
