SAP Business One helps SMBs manage accounting, inventory, and purchasing in one system. It’s most used by midsize teams with complex workflows and long-term planning needs. Reviewers highlight inventory control and financial reporting as standout features, though some cite friction with report exports and navigation. Advanced tools like real-time analytics support faster decisions.

Overall my experiance with SAP Business One has been not bad. It’s a reliable system for managing day to day business operations and keeps everything organized in one place. Once you get used to it,works pretty well, but the initial setup and learning curve can be a bit challenging. Its not the most modern looking tool, but it gets the job done.
Pros: It covers a lot of core business functions in one system like accounting, inventory, sales, and purchasing. Its helpful having everything centralized instead of using multiple tools. The reporting is also pretty solid and gives good visibility into business operations. For small to mid-sized companies, it feels like a strong ERP option that can grow with the business
Cons: The interface feels a bit outdated and not very user friendly at times. It can take a while to learn, especially if you’re not familiar with ERP systems.Customization and implementation can also be complicated and sometimes requires external consultants. Also, performance can feel a bit slow depending on how it’s set up

I had a good experience. SAP gave us solutions to everything we needed, such as invoicing, reports, inventory and insights for financials questions. After getting used to the new system it was easy to use.
Pros: It is a good solution for a mid size company to handle financials, sales and inventory in one system.

Overall, I don't mind it. We find it that SAP is trying to maintain and improve the product, even though this is not their flagship offering.
Pros: It is robust and highly customizable. We also find it scalable, as we grow. Meaning, its functionality expands and is flexible.
Cons: The locally hosted desktop application can run a bit slow. Some of the locations of tools and documents are not very intuitive for a first time/new user.

I think it is a great platform for Business needs and that there is a lot of customization there to fit all different fields of work. Its very versatile and easy to navigate.
Pros: I definitely enjoy how in depth and easy to navigate the platform is. Using SAP has made checking inventory of certain parts, organizing service calls for our technicians and correcting billing issues on the back-end incredibility straightforward. Additionally, I like that I can customizability of the dashboard.
Cons: I think my one and only complaint is that SAP tends to freeze and crash often enough that losing the current work can be incredibly frustrating and tends to create errors on the back-end where things weren't able to process correctly, so then we have to go through and correct that.

My overall experience with SAP Business One has been very positive. I’ve used it extensively for inventory control, purchasing, and warehouse operations, where it provides strong data integrity, traceability, and process discipline. I’m comfortable working with item masters, bin-managed warehouses, batch/lot tracking, and integrated purchasing-to-finance workflows. While some advanced reporting and automation require custom queries or add-ons, I’ve found B1 to be a reliable and flexible ERP that supports accurate decision-making and scalable operations
Pros: What I like about SAP Business One is how well it balances control and flexibility. It gives strong inventory visibility and auditability while still allowing me to analyze data, build reports, and improve processes without heavy IT dependency. It supports disciplined workflows across purchasing, warehousing, and finance, which is critical for inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Cons: What I like least about SAP Business One is that some processes can feel rigid and overly manual without add-ons, and advanced reporting or automation often requires custom queries or external tools rather than being fully native

Overall, my experience with SAP Business One has been great. It still delivers what a good ERP is expected.
Pros: What I like most about SAP Business One is it's fast learning curve. Professional users like us Accountants and Auditors tend to learn how to navigate around this software quickly which is very important and useful.
Cons: There is not much I dislike about this software but there are areas the can be updated or improve more like lagging issues when large databases are entered and limited features for Large scale companies.

Its been okay. We have SAP Business One through Seidor and their customer service is not the best/expensive
Pros: The financial end of the application is helpful to our business. The system is powerful if used correctly
Cons: The system is difficult to use and slow. It is not easy to use and everything is a manual entry/set up
Brian G. · Account Relationship Manager · Facilities Services · September 8, 2025
Used it for 8 months in a financial reporting and operations oversight role. Once the initial learning curve passed, it made routine processes more efficient. It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done.
Pros: It’s surprisingly versatile. For a midsize operation, it covered most needs—reporting, inventory, financials—without feeling bloated. I appreciated the clean integration between modules.
Cons: Customization can be a bit rigid unless you bring in technicall support. Some of the features felt hidden or not intuitive at first.

Though not a sales person, as an administrator, I had ample support when I got stuck and for the most part, provided what we needed for the business.
Pros: Ease of use. As an administrator, I was able to navigate to the invoicing that helped my users do their jobs and the formatting seemed easy to work with.
Cons: The administrative side could get a bit harry in trying to add or remove users from the system, especially when it came to proper licensing. Other than that, everything else seemed to work just fine.

Overall a good tool to work since it can be even be deployed in a private cloud or on premise
Pros: one of the best flexible ERP system i have seen where it can be customized easily. Also it can be used for both small and mid sized companies
Cons: Auto upgrade is a lag...if that can be included it will be one of the best in market

If you want to do impementation once - you have to choose you buy SAP. SAP Business One fits needs even small fast growing business. Consolidation works for intercompany acounts localised globally, no additional tuning needed.
Pros: The most popular ERP solution. SAP count all experience received though years to deliver maximum of reliability and industry standarts. Starts with CRM, it includes ever service worksheets and time management. IFRS compliant general ledger book and reporting capability. Reliable inventory data and estimate creation.
Cons: It is expencive twice of average but worth of every penny. Native web browser could be sometimes issue to be notified you local network security rules. Good to have integration not only Microsoft 365 emails but probably custom SAP domain.

it is mixture of satisfaction as far performance is concerned but, feeling unconvinced of the high cost.
Pros: All modules required by small-to-medium business companies are available. The Interface is user-friendly,
Cons: It is very expensive compared to other ERP's designed for SMB's (mainly the license costs). The initial setup takes longer period.

Overall its a great experience working with SAP B1 since 2006.
Pros: Order to Cash process is handled through one ERP software
Cons: Reports are not easily customizable as per standard we have to invest in Add-On
Monika k. · BSA · Health, Wellness and Fitness · January 15, 2025
SAP B1 can be used as the first ERP for starting companies.
Pros: This is a wonderful ERP option for small and medium-sized companies.
Cons: Don't support highly complex business or processes.
Holdrin D. · Solution Manager · Computer Software · December 27, 2024
Graphically, it's a bit boring and old-fashioned. It's not the nicest accounting tool around, but it does the job very well. There's loads of space for reports and personalisation.
Pros: Very complete tool for Accounting and reporting, with great personalisation but you need both a consultant and a technician to set it the correct way to ensure you get what you need.
Cons: Graphic wise is a bit boring and old fashioned, not the nicest accounting tool around.
Vincenzo M. · Financial Accountant · Information Technology and Services · December 27, 2024
Jesus R. · Gerente General · Food & Beverages · December 4, 2024
As the overall picture, this is very useful tool when it comes to construction planning and visualization.
Pros: Used this software as a project planning and monitoring tool. It is impressive that this tool allows to input all data from stores, construction sites, offices etc and visualize total cost and the returns very effectively.
Cons: This interface is not mush user friendly. So most of new commers struggled a lot to get familiar with this.
Kasun M. · Civil Engineer · Civil Engineering · November 16, 2024
Fantastic ERP system for bigger companies which need stable operations with reliable stock management, forecasting etc.
Pros: It is stable solution. It is like a swiss knife. Has all functions in a company from sales management to production
Cons: It has so many features and the user interfaces arent always intuitive. It is good when you know the system. Then it is faster to use however when you need to start up or find a new feature it isnt intuitive.
Anders S. · Production Supervisor · Food Production · November 15, 2024
Good for big business and once implemented and learned, everything go fast
Pros: Offer real-time analysis of data with useful reports
Cons: Sometimes the support is slow. A ticket was generated to ask a something
Antonia Bolena M. · Engineer · Civil Engineering · October 25, 2024
