MYOB Business

Pros: Simple easy to use all in in one accounting software, for payroll, accounts payable and receivable, secure web based software.

Cons: Getting a bit expensive over time, sometimes can be a bit hard with integrating other platforms and apps.

Pros: Amazing customer support, rich suite of features and makes it super easy for accountants and bookkeepers to do their bit!

Cons: Can be a little tricky to wrap your head around when first getting started, sometimes features are a little hard to understand (like how to put in a TFN if a person is exempt, etc)

Pros: Easy to use. We can handle different clients very easily.

Cons: Less features as compare to other products

Pros: The invoicing in-tray ables you to drag and drop your invoices on queue to process it smoothly. MYOB captures the details and all you need is a double check if it got the correct details which most of the time is correctly, unless your invoice/receipt is blurry.

Cons: I think it’s the payroll. It’s a bit manual with adding correct times in the timesheets.

Pros: Cheap and somehow good enough for small businesses.

Cons: Not enough reporting options, no way of saving all my invoices quickly. Have to go to each Individual invoice and save them one by one.

Pros: The software is good and once learned is reasonably easy to use and is very accurate.

Cons: The customer service. Heaven help you if you need to speak with someone or get any technical help!!! Make sure you can have your phone line available for a couple of hours wait!!

Pros: A very old school accounting software program which hasn't changed, but easily to follow along with experience.

Pros: nothing. Absolutley nothing. I just can't say anything positive about it other than if you just want to do some simply invoices then yes it will work.

Cons: It is very limited and very difficult to use. Almost as if it has been set up to frustrate you to upgrade to a higher product. Just getting basic reports is nigh impossible.

Pros: MYOB have worked hard to make the product more user friendly for both the business and the accountant.

Cons: The pricing can be more than some others on the market.

Pros: What I like most about MYOB is its efficiency in handling all my accounting needs. I use it for bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, sending invoices, managing payroll, paying bills, and tracking transactions. It keeps everything organized in one place, making monthly financial reviews straightforward and helping me stay on top of our accounting tasks with ease.

Cons: What I like least about MYOB is that syncing with other software can sometimes be unreliable. For example, integrating MYOB with Total Synergy has caused issues at times, which interrupts my workflow and requires extra troubleshooting.

Pros: It looks nice but that is where anything good stops for MYOB.

Cons: Every accountant I talk to advise not to use MYOB. I have now been locked out of my account for over a month with their system incapable of remembering logins requiring external apps which then don't work, have also been unable to share access to reports due to MYOB changing statuses without my knowledge.

Pros: The financial reporting abilities of MYOB Business are very good and very well developed. They present accurate and real time reports that allow for a large volume of information to be automatically reported from a business management point of view. The ability to add specific permission levels to individual users is also highly valuable as the there may be some layers f information that the company does not want the individual to have access to which is something MYOB has done really well.

Cons: MYOB is more costly than a number of other accounting software packages on the market, although it is more powerful and has more functions. From a personal point of view the user interfaces feel outdated. Although they are very powerful and have a lot of functionality it presents as though it is a 20 year old version of windows.

Pros: Very in-depth, detailed and robust application and accounting platform for seasoned Accounts Officers, Bookkeepers and Accountants.

Cons: MYOB Business was challenging to learn and become familiar with for those not used to large digital financial applications. Some training was required.

Pros: Bank Feeds, Date Lock, Balance Sheet, GST Report

Cons: Lack of functionality on website, can't use the find transaction feature.
