Pros: Event management capabilities were apparent and data reports that can be generated after an event are useful.
Cons: I don't have too many dislikes about the platform although admittedly my experience with Greater Giving for my role was limited primarily to pulling reports after an event.

Excellent software, and great support from the helpdesk, who each time I speak to them they teach me something new I can use to make our event better.
Pros: The Software and the excellent support we get form the helpdesk. Also on our event weekend we get the extra support we need.
Cons: A few enhancements we need, reports, just found out where we can log these requests, which i great to know

Pros: Greater Giving makes event management very user friendly. We've use it for multiple golf tournaments, galas and silent auctions.
Cons: Wish it would auto charge after a silent auction closes (maybe it does and I just don't know about the setting).

As a newbie, I was paired with a wonderful consultant that walked me through setting my event up. System is very intuitive but appreciated the best practices intro. Also I have used customer service a number of times and they are easy to access, always helpful and can quickly answer my questions. Also had a great experience with our sales rep.
Pros: I have used our CRM system for the past seven years to manage our big event ticket sales and a separate company to manage our night of event (200 people). Using Greater Giving this year centralized everything and the system was so much more dynamic. One of the things I liked most was the incredible variety of reports you could generate before the event, for the event and afterwards. It was also great for generating receipts and invoices.
Cons: I have only one real complaint. I am used to being able to default to charging for credit card processing fees (giving the user the option to easily opt out). Greater Giving only allows you to let the user Opt In. Have seen far less participation as a result. I wish it was different but not a huge issue.

Pros: Very easy to use and helpful staff when needed. Every time I needed help answering a question or figuring out a best practice, I always got everything answered completely.
Cons: One of the only things I "dislike" about Greater Giving is about the website details. It is just not very user-friendly changing some aspects of your published website, but otherwise there are not really any complaints.

We are happy with our overall experience. We have been a client for over 10 years.
Pros: The customer support I've received. Whenever I have called customer support they are able to help me fix whatever issue I am calling them about.
Cons: Building a event is somewhat clunky and not very intuitive.

In general, I like the system, but some things didn't go well for us (e.g., date of fundraiser event was incorrect, even though comms to GG about this were not acted upon, therefore credit card readers did not work - a disaster for check-in.).
Pros: Ease of generating bid sheets and event attendees' ticket purchase process.
Cons: Difficult to see details behind summary statement when $$ are sent from GG to our bank account.

Overall, it's been great! We are very happy with them.
Pros: I love how user-friendly it is! There's a section for each feature I need, and there are lots of options if I need something specific for my event.
Cons: Sometimes there are TOO MANY options, or there are very strict rules I have to follow, or a lot of things get messed up.

I am very satisfied with Greater Giving. It provides easy to learn and use products for a variety of events.
Pros: Greater Giving has excellent training materials for someone new to the product. They made it easy to set up a new project even for a beginner. And the customer support is great!
Cons: We use a less know CRM so when I export a report it has to be tweaked in order to make it compatible for an import.

Pros: I've been using Greater Giving for 10 years and have enjoyed using their auction software for ease of use and customer service.
Cons: I haven't really compared other platforms, to be honest. I feel like the online auction page and donation page could be designed a little nicer but otherwise I have no other feedback.

Overall, great experience. I have used Greater Giving for years and specifically, appreciate the customer service. Questions are answered in a timely fashion by knowledgeable representatives. This makes my job so much easier when we are in the throes of putting on a GALA! Thank you Greater Giving.
Pros: Very helpful that we can go back to this product each year - our database is maintained. Our employees are trained on the product and able to pick it up quickly or train new volunteers.
Cons: The sales/payment reporting function is cumbersome. Wish the details were itemized on the emailed statement rather than having to log in and pull reports.

Pros: Greater giving has an amazing customer service team that is supportive and clear to work with. Having all of our constituents filed over the years makes the process of opening a new event easy and seamless.
Cons: The flexibility of the software can be very clunky and not so user friendly. The household verse individuals is very confusing and has caused errors in the past.

Clumsy, glitchy, counter-intuitive program. I work with computer programs all day long, and this one is just wayyyyy too complicated for what it is. And the webpages look like they’re designed for Netscape 98. Shouldn’t be this hard.
Pros: It is a platform that collects money. But that’s about all that I can say positively about Greater Giving. Their customer service and technical support is helpful, but I shouldn’t have to call them as often as I do.
Cons: The page formats are really outdated looking. Customization is limited and glitchy. Reports are hard to understand. Everything seems to take 10 steps, when it could be done in 2.

If you can afford GG and the additional assistance, it can be worth it, but for small nonprofits I would not recommend.
Pros: Customer support was useful when we needed help and there is an option to pay to have someone on site who can do a lot of the day-of work for you **for an additional cost
Cons: GG is difficult to use and not very intuitive. It is also expensive when compared with competitors.

There was so much to learn as auction manager/admin but using the help and taking it step by step was a remarkable journey. Our event is biennial and coming back 18 months later was much easier knowing the staff and help center were prepared to assist.
Pros: The help videos, links, and articles are essential and extremely well put together. Help chat was helpful too but mostly satisfied by the self-help videos and articles. Software is very well organized and not difficult to learn and manage; help chat is always there with a quick solution to your problem.
Cons: I found absolutely nothing wrong with the product.

Greater Giving has been a great software for our event. They continue to upgrade the features and provide good customer service.
Pros: Greater Giving is a robust software that allows for multiple feature in preparing for and executing online auctions. The Dashboard is easy to use and comprehensive if providing access to all features without having to hunt for things. Can be used by multiple users.
Cons: The reports are sometimes hard to extrapolate the exact data we are seeking.

Pros: I would highly recommend Greater Giving. It is a great event management tool for any non- profit fundraising events.

Pros: The help videos are an amazing tool if you get stuck trying to set things up. The online auction turned out wonderfully. The buyers had so much fun!
Cons: It took a little bit to figure out how to set everything up. I suggest watching the help videos first!

Pros: I love Greater Giving's support team! They are always ready to help, answer questions, and walk through a feature I didn't know about.
Cons: I don't have anything I don't like about Greater Giving. Perhaps one thing - I wish they would provide image size examples when setting us the website and online bidding page.

Pros: We have used Greater Giving for years while fundraising for our private elementary school. Having the consistency & info between the years is really helpful as the volunteers change each year. The available tutorials make it easy to search for whatever topic you need to learn and anytime we've had to call customer service they have been prompt and friendly in their response.
Cons: The cost of setup and annually can be a bit high but doesn't outweigh all the benefits.

My overall experience has been great. It's a learning curve for sure, but worth it.
Pros: Greater Giving has been instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition from in-person auctions to the online way of doing business now. Prior to Covid we had the opportunity to begin using Greater Giving for our in person events and it made such a difference in the management of our auction. The transition to online fundraising was a breeze with Greater Giving. I especially appreciate the amazing customer service whenever I have a question. So very helpful.
Cons: Sometimes when I "chat" with help I'm referred right to an article to read to figure it out. I admit, that frustrates me a bit, but I get it. I'm a visual person and figuring out this program all on my own, well, as an ED sometimes I just need you to tell me what to do and show me how to do it. Figuring out the website and the scrolling marque has been the most frustrating. I don't like that you can't resize the marquee of donors to make them bigger. It would be a better visual especially when you are trying to brand your event and be consistent with graphics.

We have used this company for years and will continue on.
Pros: Greater Giving made the event process so much easier with transitioning into an online event during Covid. We were still able to host a fundraising event and families could still participate from the comforts on their home.
Cons: We have not had too many issues with Greater Giving.

Our overall experience has been wonderful.
Pros: Greater Giving is pretty great. We have used it for a large annual fundraising event for several years. It helps keep all attendees and donors organized, helps us run night-of-event tasks smoothly (check in, check out, charging cards, etc). My favorite part is that volunteers who work the event are able to be trained in less than five minutes to check in attendees, enter sale, and check out attendees. Extremely user friendly.
Cons: There is a cost, but there would be a cost with any system used to accept credit cards. The added benefit of using Greater Giving to run the event has allowed us to grow our fundraiser, and this year we set a record for the event, in terms of number of attendees as well as funds raised.
