Great - Strong customer service Software - user friendly Real time data - Great help line feature
Pros: software platform - user friendly [sensitive content hidden] was a great mentor and shared best practices for successful auction Dashboard reports very helpful Sharing data base and extending reach of auction
Cons: Include spell check At times, challenging dealing with time zone differences (PST vs EST) Include a Save feature - when inputting auction items

Overall, the functionality of the websites is great and very user-friendly. Payment processing is a bit slow, but I'd rate it 7/10 based on the return on investment and site management.
Pros: I love the many options for travel experiences and gaining a percentage of prizes listed. Also, it offered more than travel, but artwork and miscellaneous as well. I also liked how you can add a logo for those who sponsored the added item.
Cons: What I really disliked was that you couldn't add multiple trips of the same experience. People had to bid against themselves in order to win multiple trips. meaning they would have to bid higher just to win multiple instead of the option to list it multiple times. I also didn't like if we wanted to close out and then open back up for the things that didn't sell, we would have to start a brand new auction versus opening it back up.

Super user friendly. I like that you can offer vacation package options as well as copy from paste events.
Pros: This was very user friendly! It was my first time to use Winning Bidder and it will be my go to moving forward!
Cons: NOTHING! There were no negatives so far. This was my first time to use the site and I found it extremely user friendly.

A great experience and will add a lot to our future fundraisers. Living in the country we don’t have any options or opportunities to offer for a silent options. This brightens our horizons.
Pros: It was very easy to use, there were a lot of options and things that could be used for the community that we were involved with
Cons: Since it was the first time using this for our nonprofit, I was just afraid to offer a lot so but I like the least about it is just my skepticism nothing about the site

Easy, no-fuss, facilitated what we needed. I would recommend the site to any organization wanting to use an auction to generate donations.
Pros: The site is easy to set up and use. It made our ability to reach bidders from outside our event very simple as well.
Cons: The process to register as a bidder was a bit clunky. The first log-in took you to a donation page and I would have preferred it took you to the auction.

I would certainly consider using WinningBidder.com again for our future fundraisers or events. The time and energy saved justified the cost of the service.
Pros: Ease of set-up for uploading items and organization for the silent auction. User registration was also very smooth; we did not receive any complaints or have issues with attendees signing up and making bids. It handled the volume of bids throughout the night without any glitches or set-backs.
Cons: The fees associated with the service but we understand this is industry-standard. Just something to consider for smaller non-profits but we appreciated the stress WinningBidder took away in terms of the technical side of the auction; it allowed us to focus more on the event and guests.

Pros: Ease of use! It was simple and straightforward to enter items and track bids. I really liked the formatting as well!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind - we really did have an easy and effective time using it for our silent auction!

The experience was wonderful all in all. So happy that there is such a platform available for nonprofits. I never knew there was such a thing.
Pros: It was such an easy program to use. It was wonderful for fundraising and generating revenue for our nonprofit.
Cons: Wish there were more lower cost trips and experiences available. However, the fact that they were free to put up at least gave lots of variety for people to look at.

Winning Bidder was super easy to set up and get going. Very user friendly interfacing when entering "donated" items. The flyers that it creates are aesthetically pleasing and look very professional for displays. Patrons scan the QR code and it is very easy for them to use as well. Everyone raved how fantastic the online option was this year compared to years past with in person/paper silent auction style.
Pros: Super user friendly and easy to set up, all patrons seemed to enjoy the overall accessibility and how easy it was to use.
Cons: there were no cons specifically, we did note the option to pay cash or check via donated items but automatically invoices so most people just paid with their card. I did make sure to turn on the ask patrons to cover the fees option, which all of our winners did.

WinningBidder.com is a great tool to use to set up your online auction! The customer experience is easy and efficient.
Pros: WinningBidder.com is easy to us to set up your online auction. It has great customization ability for each item.
Cons: WinningBidder.com could be event better if it had more viewing options and filters for a consumer to look at.

Great Experience. Know how to use it now and thought the tie-in with TravelPledge was an asset. Easy, efficient, reasonably priced.
Pros: Easy to Use platform. The site gave us the opportunity to manage the event up to closing when we saw a big increase in activity. It definitely was an asset to our fundraising effort.
Cons: As a small 501c3 we thought the expenses from using the site were a little drastic, especially with the percentage taken out for any of the TravelPledge items we sold.
Criston K. · Tournament Director · Fund-Raising · October 11, 2025
Love this Platform! Will use again and continue to be impressed with functionality. Great payment integration.
Pros: This is the second auction that I have run through Winning Bidder - it's very easy to use and incredibly cost effective in comparison to other products. I consult with nonprofits and continue to recommend this product.
Cons: I had no cons with this product. Only surprised that more nonprofits continue to use expensive software.
Lindsay M. · Principal · Fund-Raising · September 26, 2025
The customer service was fantastic. Whenever we had a question they were so helpful. On the initial call they helped us get it all set up.
Pros: It was so easy to use and had every feature we were looking for. Our bidders loved it. The reporting was fantastic.
Cons: They do ask for a donation as each person pays which helps pay for the site. We only used a few of their vacation options.
William A. · Director of Development · Education Management · September 23, 2025
We loved the service - we will definitely use it again. When we had a problem, customer service fixed it right away.
Pros: I was so impressed with the customer service. We will definitely be using this service for next year's auction!
Cons: I wish there were more affordable options for travel. Otherwise the items were great. The design could have been better.
Laina B. · Executive Director · Music · September 2, 2025
Luckily, we could see what the bidders won and allowed them to pay by cash, venmo or check to avoid fees.
Pros: This was the easiest and most efficient silent auction ever - it allowed folks - no matter where they were or what the were doing - stay in the game of bidding. even folks who didn't attend the event were invited to bid - this increased bidding exponentially meaning more money was raised.
Cons: I hate that there was a service fee (quite high) for credit card payments. Luckily, we found a work around by letting those present pay in person.
Michelle L. · volunteer · Education Management · August 15, 2025
It went pretty well! I am going to try to spend more time learning it and maybe there's a way to fix the problem I had! Thank you! I'll be using you again!
Pros: The ease and organization of it! It let me add all of my sponors and donors too, and their logos, that was so great!
Cons: That people had to use their credit cards and scan qr codes, older people got confused and didnt end up bidding because of it
Natasha H. · Director · Non-Profit Organization Management · June 12, 2025
My experience overall was very positive. Very positive. I would happily use the site again for a future auiction.
Pros: Easy to use with an intuitive interface and all the features needed to organize a smooth-running auction and professional. The ability to provide administrator access to other members of our team was very useful. This was my first time organizing such an event and Winning Bidder provided excellent customer - responsive, patient and helpful. Best of all, the software is free to use!
Cons: The FAQs might be a bit more comprehensive for first-0time users. This would avoid customer support questions. Also, I ran a dummy auction for internal testing and then had to start again with a new auction - it would be helpful to know not to close such a trial in order to preserve the initial entries.
Jonathan H. · Volunteer · Civic & Social Organization · May 30, 2025
Awesome experience with the reports and overall bidding experiences.
Pros: How easy it was to save favorites and navigate the site to see all the items.
Cons: I wish there was a way to group auction items on the back end to make bulk changes when we were doing updates.
Gina I. · Volunteer Member · Non-Profit Organization Management · May 9, 2025
As with any new experience, there are always a few questions that one cannot seem to find the answers to in all of the FAQs. The fact that the staff is so willing to speak with you on the phone for as long as you need goes a long way in getting your project going smoothly. The staff is friendly, helpful and very prompt in keeping phone appointments. We could not have asked for nicer folks to do business with.
Pros: There are so many things that we like best about WinningBidder.com, but having to pick just one, we must say that the software was so easy to use and setting up the auction was flawless.
Cons: The overall experience was so good that we cannot find anything to complain about. We do not see how the process could be improved.
Diane F. · Operations Manager · Arts and Crafts · May 7, 2025
Overall I am very pleased with WinningBidder.com for our first online auction. It was extremely easy for me to create all the items, manage the shipping, and deal with the purchases and payments after the event. If we were to ever get more serious or have more regular auctions, I would hope for some more bells and whistles, but that's not what I needed this time, and winningbidder.com was the perfect solution.
Pros: The platform is very straightforward and extremely easy to use. Also, the fee structure is unbeatable!
Cons: There are very limited customization/branding options. I also wish you could set different end times for the items, which would help drive sales up.
Walker H. · Brand Development Manager · Museums and Institutions · March 14, 2025
Very smooth. Low hassle. A good way to make some extra money without a lot of work.
Pros: It was so easy to use. You simply choose the items you like. WinningBidder creates the auction site, manages the bids, takes payment, and sends instructions to the winners. And you don't lose any money if there is an item no one bids on.
Cons: Some of the items were priced a little high for our audience.
Chrissy P. · Advancement Coordinator · Education Management · February 26, 2025
The overall user experience is wonderful even for first time users. Everyone feels accommodated and easy to understand
Pros: Everything works smoothly. I was able to handle my business properly and ensured the satisfaction of the involved parties.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect I loved the process.
Bogdan G. · Administrator · Events Services · February 18, 2025
Excellent! Also had customer service support that was fantastic.
Pros: Easy to use as auction admin and simple for bidders
Cons: None. Really has no cons. Easy to use for both admin and bidders
Jeff C. · Board member · Sports · January 16, 2025
This was our first time doing an online auction for our ministry. I really don't have much to compare it to, but the site was easy to set up and keep track of. I think that making people more aware of our auction site continually until the auction was done would have helped us sell more. Overall it was a good experience, and we look forward to trying it again sometime this year. Next time we will succeed!
Pros: I appreciated all the tools WinningBidder provided that not only helped set up the site, but also helped to manage it.
Cons: Being able to contact someone for quick questions that needed to be answered sooner than later.
Robin D. · Operations Director-Manager · Religious Institutions · January 9, 2025
Very good experience with WinningBidder.
Pros: Very easy to use and helpful to have additional packages in our auction.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that bidders had to enter their credit card information both in the beginning as they were bidding as well as the end after they had won an auction item.
