I had to learn a a lot of information in a short amount of time. The chat feature was useful to me when I needed an answer quickly.
Pros: It was easy to use, edit and share with others on the team. I was able to figure out what I was doing without too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing I encountered. I was able to use all the features I needed to in the amount of time I had. I could have used a crash course in the program.

Overall, Auctria was a reliable system for managing a complex fundraising event. We used it to support ticketing, auction items, and on-site purchases, and it held up well during the event itself. It’s especially valuable for nonprofits or organizations running auctions who need an all-in-one solution. With some upfront setup and training, it can significantly streamline event operations and improve visibility into revenue.
Pros: Auctria is very strong for fundraising events, especially auctions and ticketed galas. The platform makes it easy to manage guests, track purchases, and run silent auctions in one place. I also liked the flexibility—being able to handle ticket sales, sponsorships, raffles, and add-on purchases without needing multiple systems was a big win. Reporting is solid and helped us understand revenue breakdowns after the event.
Cons: The interface can feel a bit dated and not always intuitive, especially for first-time users or volunteers. Some workflows (like checkout and item management) take practice to get smooth. We also had to supplement with other tools for things like more advanced customization or integrations. It works well, but there’s a learning curve.

Overall the experience was good - generally I would work on making budgeting and tracking income easier for the end user (with no double counting) and making it easier to know when and in what circumstances a certain tab/function should be used.
Pros: Auctria is so easy to use and figure out. Creating and updating items and sending statements to participants with a balance was a breeze.
Cons: I often didn't know when to use certain tools for certain aspects of my event- I had to be told that. For example, I was told that "Donations" is used for entering paddle raises but other aspects of our live auction were captured under bidding. This was a bit of a learning curve. Also, there is some double counting in the way income is tracked in Auctria which makes budgeting and accounting challenging.

My first experience was when our organization did a live and silent in-person auction in 2019. We were preparing to do that again when our in-person event got cancelled due to Covid. Thanks to Auctria, we were able to (almost) seamlessly change from an in-person to on-line event within a week. By going online we were able to reach a much wider and larger audience, and cut down on the overhead of an in-person event. We eventually did return to a gathering and live auction, but no more silent auctions with people running around during mealtime (and live auction time) to check up on their bids.
Pros: It just does so much and allows for creativity in making categories, carrying over donors from year to year, and live auction checkout goes fairly quickly.
Cons: Sometimes because it can do so much what you want to do is not immediately intuitive, but that is a minor complaint.

Overall, it works well! I would suggest it if you're not trying to do anything crazy and looking for a way to merge in-person & online elements of a fundraising event.
Pros: Easy to use interface, generally simple and easy to develop the necessary details for our event. It does everything we need it to do, in a generally streamlined manner.
Cons: There were some weird quirks, like you can't create a statement with only the outstanding balance. There were duplicate information (values & donors would not show up in packages) and weird design choices I couldn't change (ie hiding value in one part of the website would not hide it in another). It could use an overhaul of existing features to work out kinks.

Pros: Check in and check out was easy. Creating packages is easy. Online bidding process. I have nothing more to add.
Cons: Reassigning tickets to other people. Attaching the Sponsorships to people and not organizations. Minimum character count in the feedback form.

10/10 so good! We'd like to keep Auctria for future events and galas. Once mastered, we'll have an easy time processing guests and donors for any event.
Pros: Very user friendly and has a wide variety of features for any type of event. The Auctria help team was so patient and flexible with our many questions and new problems.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was so great! The check-in and check-out process for the event was not difficult because of this software and helped us easily communicate with guests.

Fabulous, exciting. Lots and lots of resources and information. [sensitive content hidden] do a great job of organizing the material and presenting their webinars.
Pros: This is my first time using Austria, and I can say without reservations that they are fabulous. I have many questions, and they respond almost immediately. It gives me great confidence going into this challenging event.
Cons: It’s not really a negative, but it looks like I have to put something here. There are so many resources it’s going to take me a while to get through everything. Or, at least narrow things down to what I need.

Based on our latest experience, we are going to try to use Auctria for more events! It seems like we can easily integrate into in person events as we have only used Auctria for online only auctions.
Pros: The user experience is excellent and the software does a great job. I like how payments are processed automatically and you give the user the choice to cover the cost of the credit card fee.
Cons: The software defaults to grid view. I had a hard time getting the page to open so that users could view all items. I was able to work around this and three users brought this up as part of their experience. There should be tabs where you copy a previous event and then easily copy items without having to open each item individually.

Overall I really like Auctria and will use it in the future. I would also recommend it to anyone who is needing a program to help with their auction needs.
Pros: I like the item add page. It is simple but allows for a lot of information to be shared. The website is also very professional-looking but easy to make and maintain.
Cons: We ran into problems with reporting our live auction. I wish I could have just clicked a "next" button to go to the next item instead of having to go back through the entry process each time. Also, we put live winning bids in after the auction, and for some reason, Auctria didn't record them and people were waiting to check out and couldn't.

Overall the experience was positive! The platform provided everything we were hoping for, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. The fact that Auctria offers the service “à la carte” is a huge benefit for an all volunteer charity- no dollar wasted. Thank you for helping us raise money for families in need!
Pros: The value and functionality made the platform worth using. It is very customizable and allowed for a nice fit with our organization’s needs. The bulk import tools saved quite a bit of time. The detailed webinar videos were also very helpful during setup and staff, specifically [sensitive content hidden] was extremely helpful and responsive.
Cons: The back end UI could use a bit of a facelift- better naming conventions for some of the tabs could prove useful. If the bar on the left side was organized into fewer, more broad categories, it would save quite a bit of time during setup. The mobile UI on the back end was near impossible to navigate on the night of the event. There should be a mobile app or mobile site for admins- especially on the night of the event. The main concern we ran into on event evening was the inability to easily tell which items had been paid for & by whom. There was also not a convention to mark each item as claimed or picked up which would’ve been helpful.

Pros: It is nice that it’s all in one but the software is very confusing from an accounting standpoint. The easiness of setting up an event is a pro though.
Cons: The accessibility of information is a downside for us- it’s confusing from an accounting standpoint.
Meghan D. · Treasurer · Non-Profit Organization Management · October 12, 2025
Pros: $7c
Cons: The one thing that wasn't 10/10 was designing the website itself. The UI isn't quite as sleek as other parts of the platform, and having to change every individual text box and use the "Advance Styling" for things like font size and italics was time intensive. Our website ended up looking great, but I did have to spend time watching tutorials and I wish it was a bit more intuitive.

Auctria is great! We have been with them for years and have always had an easy time using the platform, and also Auctria has served us well through all of the changes our gala has gone through. From COVID days of a hybrid event, to having an online auction, and more, we've always been served very well by the platform. Like I mentioned before, their support team is GREAT too. By far the best support team I've ever encountered for a website, hands down.
Pros: Auctria is great! It's a very user-friendly platform and their customer service team is amazing. If ever we have a question, the Auctria support team is fast, accurate, and very friendly. Auctria allows us to manage all of our event-related needs for our annual gala - from website to ticketing to auction procurement - in one place, which makes our lives much easier.
Cons: I wish that Auctria connected to Salesforce NPSP! The only downside to Auctria is that we have to do a lot of manual importing into Salesforce to capture donor activities from our event.

Working with the team at Auctria was fantastic! I definitely recommend getting the Launch Plus package. Our assigned Auctria team member, [sensitive content hidden], took care of everything from undoing mistakes to building our website. He responded quickly to emails and communicated well. We only used Auctria for the silent auction platform. It was well worth our time and money! During the silent auction, the platform worked flawlessly. Check out was a breeze! More people paid with a credit card than had ever done before! At what would be a normally crazy time, my staff and I were bored, which we loved! We will be using the Auctria platform from here on out!
Pros: The things we liked most about Auctria were Launch Plus, the response of our Aucria team member, the ease of the program. The best thing about using the Auctria program was how smoothly checkout went.
Cons: We would like to use Auctria for ticketing. We were disappointed that there was not a way to build tables and allow individuals to pick seats and purchase those specific seats. Due to the limitations of our facility, being able to pick seats is important to our attendees.

EXCELLENT! We've used other auction software and this is far and away the best. And support is phenomenal; there is a dedicated icon for on-line questions, and they get back to you within minutes if not faster.
Pros: Its a complete package which lets us run our auctions both in-person and on-line, it has options to use a smartphone to simplify interaction with participants, it sends automatic reminders and receipts, too much else to mention. And its reasonably priced. there is also a free option, which contains most features, so you can get a feel for it. Its also very flexible; we're using it in another organization I'm involved with for registering lifelong learning classes.
Cons: That we only have one auction a year and don't get to use it more often. The only little thing is that using the web design tools is a little confusing (at least for me)

We used an event manager who charged a fortune and used another program. When Covid cancelled our event, I switched to Auctria. The price difference was amazing and so much easier to use. We had a very successful on-line event and word got out. Had so many calls asking how I did it. Now practically every fundraiser in my area (Portland,OR) is using Auctria. Questions get answered fairly quickly, and all the suggestions for future updates I have suggested have been implemented. Keeps getting easier to use and does more every year.
Pros: Price. Flexibilty. Functionality. I used another program that was very inflexible. With Auctria it was easy to make it fit what I needed to do. Now however Auctria has added so many features I don’t need to figure out work-arounds.
Cons: Designing the Website. I find it frustrating that there are not explanations of what the different styling options are, for example. I have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to make it look the way I want. I am not a web designer. Maybe it is assumed if someone is building the website they know all that already.

Overall, Auctria helped raise a lot more money for our organization!
Pros: Auctria has so much functionality for a low price. It is an easy-to-understand system with incredible capabilities. I also like that they partner with Stripe for credit card processing since this is a known and trusted brand.
Cons: I did find some aspects difficult to figure out, but after some searching and excellent video tutorials, I figured it out.

Very pleased with the product overall! Quite user friendly, easy to find assistance.
Pros: Ease of Auction item entries, ease of customer experience.
Cons: Finding details in reports due to being a new user.
Kelly C. · Development Director · Education Management · February 18, 2025
They were beneficial and supportive service. Easiest online auction set up ever.
Pros: user-friendly and supportive. I love the support for uploading all auction items and website design services for the elevated package?
Cons: I wish they offered a discount as a repeat customer
Holly H. · Creative Director · Education Management · January 16, 2025
Not too intuitive for accessing data. Trying to find meal options took awhile. It took too long to add all the auction items due to all the clicks to create a new item entry
Pros: Liked the event website, pretty easy to add everything you need. There is a lot of functionality available for data, wish it was easy to find
Cons: It would have been helpful to have the items on a spreadsheet format that you could edit easily. It was difficult to always have to click on the edit item then have another page open to edit. I had so many pages open, it got confusing.

Auctria is an excellent tool for nonprofits who want to host an online auction without having to shell out a large amount of money.
Pros: It is very easy to maneuver and use. Great support as well!
Cons: As we have been using this software for several years, I can't think of a single negative thing!
Pamela B. · Finance and Operations Administrator · Non-Profit Organization Management · December 18, 2024
For the most part, it was easy to work, but the best part was being able to access live people and get answers. I love the product.
Pros: Being able to have direct contact when I needed help
Cons: Sometimes difficult inputting information but I am sure that is just being unfamiliar with ut
Jane H. · Administrator · Fund-Raising · December 18, 2024
I have been involved in using the program for several years. It has always been a great tool.
Pros: It is easy to understand and to implememt.
Cons: You have to close the tutorial each time you go to a different tab.
Rhonda D. · Software Coordinator · Education Management · December 9, 2024
Overall, we like the system and will probably continue to use it. We learn more every year!
Pros: We love being able to sell tickets and have those immediately linked to people's bidding paddles for the auction. Also being able to set up a customized site and online auction functionality has been so helpful. Even when there are things we can't figure out, support has usually been prompt and helpful.
Cons: Auctria has such broad functionality, but it's not always the most user-friendly. A lot of things are not intuitive. A couple things we've struggled with: how to require credit cards for each guest; tickets getting set up as "for sale" instead of the "ticket" type; creating the auction catalog webpage; changing the order in which tickets on sale are displayed; sending donation receipts for winning bidders; getting locked out of editing the site even when no one else is logged in.
